“Hello, April. We’d like a booth in the back if you can, please.”
The hostess nodded and reached for menus. “Just the four of you?”
“Yes, please.”
The guys were quiet, letting her take care of getting the table for them all. They surrounded her and even in her heels, she felt dainty compared to them. She also felt a healthy dose of lust for them, all of them.
Deja’s words trickled through her mind. Best sex of my life. The three of them… It’s more than I ever thought possible.
And now Melda would be thinking about the three men with her and what it might be like to be with all of them together. Hot, naked, and aroused. Three sets of hands. Three wicked mouths. Three cocks, hard and ready for her, just her.
“Emerald?” A throat cleared. “Melda?”
Blue eyes met hers as she snapped out of her thoughts to see him indicating she should slide into the booth first. She slipped in and slid over as he joined her, taking up more room than he should have. His thick thigh brushed against hers as he crowded her just a bit.
“Your waitress will be here in just a minute to take your drink orders. Enjoy your meal.”
April stepped away, leaving them alone in the relative silence of the empty back room. Most of the lunch crowd was gone, and those remaining preferred the main dining room. Most people here knew where Melda worked and probably thought this was a business lunch. She’d had them here several times. Enough times that she didn’t even bother looking at her menu.
They sat in silence as the men each looked at each other and then toward her, and she felt as if they were having a private conversation with just their eyes.
She let it go as the waitress came to the table. Drinks were ordered and then Mr. Latino Charm asked if they could go ahead and order lunch. She ordered her favorite chicken crisps and fries, while they all three opted for deluxe cheeseburgers and fries.
“Nothing better than a good old-fashioned American burger,” blue eyes said.
“Which one of you is Davis?” She’d waited long enough. She needed to know who’d written the letters, the poems, the sorrow, the joy, all of it. She needed to know which one she’d fallen in love with via long letters read and re-read during lonely nights in her bed.
“That’s the thing,” blue eyes rumbled next to her. “We all are.”
“What?”
“I’m Houston Davis,” blue eyes said.
“Cruz Davis,” was the name of the Latino charmer. Cruz.
“Darius Davis,” the tall ebony warrior said with a smile.
“Wait.” She shook her head. “You’re all Davis? You’re related?”
Houston laughed. “No. We just all happen to share a very common last name. Which is quite funny in the military.”
“They have a tendency to call us by our last names,” Cruz said, probably noting her look of confusion.
“We got grouped together often enough we just stuck together,” Darius added. “We became fast friends in training and have been together pretty much since then.”
“So which one of you got my letters?”
“All of us,” Houston said.
She nodded her head, accepting that. By this point, she had already surmised they’d shared her letters between them. It was a bit embarrassing remembering the things she’d shared and knowing they’d all three read them.
“Which one of you wrote me back?”
They all shared a look again.
“All of us,” Cruz answered.
“You all wrote me back?”
“We took turns,” Darius replied. “We each devoured your letters over and over again. Then we took turns writing you back. There’s a little bit of each of us in those letters. We figured it was a way for you to get to know all of us without confessing we were sharing your letters. We established some ground rules, like who could share what from his family since we all come from different families. Things like that.”
“We were afraid you might quit writing if you knew,” Houston admitted with a sigh.
She didn’t know if she would have or not, and it didn’t matter now. It was over and done.
The waitress interrupted as she dropped off drinks and told them their food was almost ready. Melda smiled and thanked her then sipped her drink as she digested what she’d learned so far.
“So, why exactly are you all here? Did you want to meet the woman from the letters? See if maybe I’d shared your letters with someone else too?”
Both Darius and Houston looked a bit contrite at that comment, but Cruz just grinned.
“You didn’t,” he said with confidence.
“What makes you so sure?”
“Your letters. You spoke of your sisters, your job—”
“A boss whose ass I’d like to kick,” Houston interjected.
“Your house—” Cruz continued.
“Your hopes and dreams,” Darius interrupted.
“And we all knew beneath it all you were just like us.”
“I’m no soldier. I don’t even know how to shoot a gun.”
Cruz laughed, and she was intrigued by the white of his smile, the jut of his chin as he leaned his head back.
“Lonely,” Houston whispered beside her.
“Searching for something more, something lasting,” Darius added.
“We got home last week and took care of the things we needed to, so we could head here,” Cruz stated.
“How long are you staying?”
“That depends,” Darius informed her. “On you.”
“Me?” She really hoped her voice wasn’t squeaking.
Houston turned toward her and took her hand in his. “I think we each have fallen a little in love with the woman we met in the pages of your letters. Your pictures showed us you were just as beautiful outside. Seeing you…”
“You take our breath away,” Darius murmured while Cruz nodded in agreement.
“We learned a lot holing up in a desert for two tours,” Houston admitted.
“We learned that life can end in an instant. No promise of tomorrow or even tonight,” Darius added.
“We learned when life gives you an opportunity, grab it.” Cruz met her gaze, and she felt her heartbeat speed up.
“Is that what I am? An opportunity?”
“A dream come to life,” Darius said.
“A possibility to finally find something lasting,” Cruz offered.
“A woman to come home to,” Houston added.
The waitress interrupted again with their food, and Melda was grateful for the short reprieve. This was happening too quickly. Wasn’t it?
Sure, she’d been essentially getting to know them for the last eighteen months, but still. She didn’t know which of them had written what, so in a sense they were still strangers. Well, not really strangers, but she didn’t know them as they knew her.
“What are you thinking about so hard?” Houston interrupted her thoughts.
“I guess I’m trying to figure out what it is you’re looking for with me?”
“I’d say it’s pretty obvious,” he replied.
“We want a chance with you,” Darius put in.
“A chance for you to really get to know us,” Cruz said.
Melda nodded, while she picked at her food. “How long are you staying? And don’t say it depends on me,” she added, remembering the last answer they gave her.
“We’ve rented the house just down the street from you actually, and God, does that make us sound like stalkers or what?” Houston seemed disgusted with himself.
Melda laughed. “The big brick house on the corner?”
Darius and Cruz nodded.
“It’s okay, Houston,” she soothed, putting her hand on his thigh and rubbing lightly. “I’ve been wanting to take a look inside it since it went up for rent. It looks like it has a lot of potential from the outside. I’d love to see the layout.”
Darius grinned. “You can come over any time you want.”
“Stay the night,” Cruz offered with a wicked smile.
“Stay for the rest of your life,” Houston said.
She laughed again. What else could she do? They were not only here, but also planning to stay for a while. Long enough that they’d rented a house. Just so she would have time to get to know them better? To see if they had chemistry?
Lord, she could feel her hormones surging for all of them. Could she have what Deja had with her three doctors? Did her pen pals want to share her or for her to pick?
“So, am I supposed to pick one of you?”
They exchanged a look, but it was hard for her to decipher what they were thinking.
“We’ve all agreed to accept whatever choice you make,” Cruz said.
“We just ask that you give each of us an equal opportunity to win you over. We each get at least one date with you. Full day and night.”
Melda had no problem understanding what Houston was saying. They each planned to try to get her in bed at the end of their dates. God help her, she didn’t think any of them would have a problem there. She’d been celibate for a while now, though thankfully, she’d kept up her birth control pills for the accuracy of knowing when her period would be. Her panties were practically soaked at just the thought of having one of them or all of them in her bed.
“And what if I can’t pick?” She had to voice the question at the forefront of her thoughts.
Cruz shrugged.
Darius smiled.
“Then we’ll do our best to persuade you to keep us all,” Houston stated.
She bit her bottom lip. “You’d do that? Share a woman?”
“We’ve been sharing you for eighteen months,” Darius reminded her.
She brushed that aside. “That was letters. I’m talking about more than that.”
“You’re talking about sex,” Cruz stated, and damn if she didn’t feel her cheeks heating with another blush.
“I guess that would depend on you,” Houston said. “And if you were willing to let us,” his gaze skimmed over her, “share you.”
“Have you shared a woman before?”
“Yes.” It was Darius who answered.
“Did you enjoy it?”
“Yes.” Cruz this time.
Stupid question, and not the one she’d planned to ask. “Did she enjoy it?”
“Yes.” Houston’s reply was a husky whisper in her ear.
Her gaze dropped, and she could see the visible bulge of his cock against the worn denim of his jeans.
She licked her lips, and his barely concealed moan skittered along her senses.
“I have to admit we hope you’ll pick all of us,” Darius admitted. “But we’re all in agreement you should get the chance to spend one-on-one time with each of us. Get to know us the way we’ve gotten to know you.”
She nodded her head. Agreeing to date them, to get to know them, didn’t mean she was planning to have sex with them. She almost groaned in frustration. She was so planning on having sex with them. Separately as well as, please God, all together so she could have a taste of the pleasure Deja couldn’t stop talking about.
“So, you want me to agree to go out with each of you for a full day and night. What if I have sex with one of you?”
“We’ll be doing our best to persuade you to do just that,” Cruz admitted.
“And say I go out with you first, and have sex with you—”
“I’m counting on my ability to seduce you,” he promised with a grin. Darius and Houston were both nodding in agreement.
“So it won’t bother whoever is next in line for a day with me to know that I’ve just slept with your buddy?”
“Nope,” Houston said. “I’ll just use it to persuade you to give me the same shot, so I can prove how much better I am in bed.”
They all chuckled, and she felt a smile tug at her lips.
“And what if I spend the day with one of you, but want to spend the night with all of you?”
Houston sat up straighter beside her. Darius and Cruz both perked up as well.
“What are you offering?” Houston asked.
Melda wasn’t shy. She was a take-charge woman who often found herself doing jobs most still considered a man’s. If she was going to do this, then she was going to do it right.
“I’ll spend the day with one of you. I’ll let you decide the order. Then that night, we’ll return to either my house or the one you’ve rented and spend the night all together.”
“Will sex be involved?” Cruz asked, but she could see the same question on both Darius’s and Houston’s faces.
She nodded her head. “Yes. With one rule. Whoever goes on the date with me will be in control of what happens. He’ll decide everything.” It was her way of seeing just how dominate they each could be in the bedroom. And how giving the others would be when it wasn’t their turn to be in charge. It would give her an idea of their personality in the bedroom. Could they take orders as well as give them?
Darius shifted, and she wished the table wasn’t blocking her view of his lap. She bet he had as nice a bulge as Houston was sporting.
“I think we can all agree to that,” Cruz offered, and the other two nodded.
“One more thing.” She made sure she met all their gazes. “On the fourth day, we all go out together on a date. My choice.”
“And that night?” Houston voiced the question.
“I’m in charge.”
She waited and one by one they nodded agreement.
“Okay, I need to get back to work.” She nudged Houston with her hip until he moved over and stood, offering his hand to help her up from the booth. She was impressed when both Cruz and Darius slid out and stood as well. “I’ll see one of you tomorrow morning. I’ll trust you to text me with the time. Whose number do I have?”
“Mine,” Houston said.
“Now that I know it’s three of you, I think it’s safe for all of you to text me.”
“Absolutely,” Darius agreed.
“We’ll be blowing your phone up if you’re not careful,” Cruz admitted.
“And I’ll be blowing…” She let that comment die off with a shrug of her shoulders, but she could see the suggestive remark had hit the mark. They’d all be thinking of what they wanted her to blow for the rest of the day. “Until tomorrow,” she promised and turned to walk away.
She put an extra swing in her hips and could feel the heat of their gazes following her as she headed out the door toward her truck. She’d never wanted a day to end so quickly. She couldn’t wait to see who showed up tomorrow, or what he had planned for tomorrow night.
Chapter Three
Melda was a bundle of nervous energy as she waited to see which of them showed up at her door this morning. She’d spent the rest of the afternoon and early evening wrapping as much up at work as she could before dropping the “v” word on Mr. Hines. He’d yelled and ranted, but Melda was adamant. She hadn’t taken a vacation for the last five years. She was taking one now. One week, which she planned to spend with Houston, Darius, and Cruz. She’d more than earned it.
Then she’d spent the rest of the evening pampering her skin and getting ready for what she hoped was a week of debauchery. She’d called Deja on the phone to tell her all about it then connected Skye so they could have a three-way chat. Skye had urged her to be careful while Deja had urged her to make the most of it and have fun. Melda planned to follow both pieces of advice.
She’d been told by the guys to wear something like what she’d worn when she met them at the diner for today’s date. She had on another short, flirty dress with a long-sleeved sweater that ended just below her breasts and a matching pair of heels. She felt feminine and sexy. And anxious, so anxious. Who was picking her up? What did he have planned for the day? More importantly, what did he have planned for the night? She was a slow touch away from orgasm as it was. She’d purposely denied herself the use of any of her toys last night just so her arousal wouldn’t be cooled at all. She was on fire a
nd wanted them to be the ones to douse the flames.
The knock at the door had her pulse spiking and her breathing shaky. She opened it slowly, and her gaze clashed with the lazy smile of Cruz Davis. He stepped in before she could unglue her tongue, and Melda found herself pressed against the closed door. He gently clasped her waist as he lowered his mouth to hers. The brush of his tongue tickled the corner of her mouth, making her moan, giving him fuller access to her.
The kiss started slow and easy but quickly escalated to a carnal feast for them both. She gripped his shoulders, and when one of his hands slid down to cup her ass, she lifted her leg to his waist. He groaned and the next thing she knew he’d cupped her ass with both hands and lifted her off the floor. Both her legs wrapped around him, and he pressed the rigid bulge of his cock against the damp gusset of her panties. Somehow, he’d managed to move the skirt of her short dress completely out of the way without her any the wiser.
“Cruz.” His name was a needy moan rising from her throat.
He planted a series of sucking kisses along the column of her neck. “I want to taste you,” he panted, and she was incapable of doing more than moaning her agreement. She wanted his mouth all over her.
Before she was focused enough to understand just what he meant, she was back on her feet and he was on his knees in front of her, hands already pulling her panties down over her hips.
“Cruz,” she cried out, one hand bracing on his shoulder while the other slid through his hair. This was too fast. They were supposed to get to know one another first. Let her figure out which letters where from him.
His breath was warm against the damp folds of her pussy, and she had just enough time to catch her breath before his tongue slid between them and trailed up toward her suddenly straining clit.
“Oh, God,” she moaned, her hand in his hair pressing him closer.
He groaned against her skin and twirled his tongue around her swollen bud before licking back down and rimming her opening. He slid one hand down the inside of her leg to her ankle then lifted it up and over his shoulder.
“I thought we were waiting until tonight,” she managed to gasp out as he licked and sucked at her pussy.
