  Second Chances

Magan’s been alone a long time. When she is coerced to socialize with the world, she discovers why she hadn’t bothered before. She’s too old, people are rude, and she likes the safety of home sweet home.

Jariko spots the sultry goddess and wants nothing more…besides the handsome stud across the room who too is eyeing up the goddess. Second thought, perhaps they both can have her?

Magan is bombarded, controlled, and sucked into sweet seduction by two totally different men. Two men who have the power to make her melt and do things she didn’t think were possible. Life rears its ugly head and all three are confronted, not only by Magan’s grown children, but by reality of a life and death realism, cancer. Can Magan, Jariko, and Kendal handle all that is thrown at them and make it out on top?

  Chapter One

Magan’s gaze glided across the crowded room, eyes rolling heavenward. An unwanted rush of adrenaline ripped through her, or was it simply anxiety? She couldn’t believe she was actually doing this! She was near forty for crying out loud! Her gaze landed on her twenty-year-old daughter across the room chumming it up with a rather nice-looking man, a very young, strapping, good-looking man. Thick, handsome, and oh-so-biteable. She sighed. She was turning into a sick old lady, she decided, turning her attention away.

Her brown eyes wandered the room and took in the many young men…way young men. She inhaled a shaky breath and crossed to the buffet. This was definitely not her kind of gathering. What grown woman in her right mind would hang out at a place where the oldest man in the room was only old enough to possibly be her son? She should just go home. Dane would understand.

She placed her fluted wineglass down on the white-tablecloth-covered table and turned, smacking into a solid wall of hard warm manliness. “Sorry! Crap.” She looked up and dark-green eyes scowled down at her. She scrunched up her nose. He could have at least accepted the apology! Shit, she hated guys who thought they needed you to bend over and kiss their asses to apologize. Pompous dickhead!

She backed away from him, getting a better view. Wow, he was tall. Her eyes widened and she stared openmouthed at him. He was tall and broad, and was that a streak of grey hair at his temples? Tiny ears, oh good friggin’ God! Her pussy quivered at the sight of those tiny ears. He had a strong, square jaw and shit, he smelled of mint and sex and something thick that Mag wanted to get her hands on.

He dipped low and his lips brushed her ear. “Were you not ever taught manners?” he hummed, his voice soft, husky, sexy…He was sure he’d seen the gorgeous woman before, but he just couldn’t quite place her as of yet. His eye caught sight of a younger woman across the room giggling. Her hand covered her abundant breasts as her head fell back in more girlish laughter. Ah, there she was. He had seen her. Well, her duplicate. Little sister, he assumed.

Mag’s eyes fluttered closed and she shivered. Her pussy wept with want. Oh, to have this man whisper sweet nothings in her ear the entire night through. Shit, she could just lay there and listen to him. The shivers that would cascade over her body would totally be worth it.

Mag gathered her senses and snapped her mouth shut. She leaned back away from the man. “Excuse me,” she mumbled under her breath and moved away from him. She called her sorry-assed self a chickenshit all the way across the room away from the stranger.

She leaned close to her daughter’s ear. “Leaving, love…Check you later,” she whispered before she rushed from the building. She had to be quick. Her daughter was amazing at guilt trips and whatnot, and right now, Mag would prefer to go home and have some alone time while the asshole’s husky voice was still fresh in her mind. Dane barely glanced at her mother before turning back to the hottie in front of her.

Jariko watched his beauty rush from the room, hips swaying. The midnight-blue satin of her dress shimmered in the light ove
r her curves. Bronzed shoulders glimmered under the chandelier light. Even in a rush the woman was sensual, shoulders held back, back ramrod straight, tits out front and center. He gobbled those beauts up with his eyes.

He had watched her all evening, and sadly she was leaving entirely too early. Cinnamon-brown curls drifted down the center of her back, caressing her ass. Most women nowadays had either shoulder-length or shorter hair. His eyes scanned the room. Most of these women did. He liked the long hair. How it brushed his legs with silken kisses as a woman’s pretty little mouth struggled to take his entire thick dick in her mouth.

He glanced at the young woman she had gone to, a younger sister? Definitely related, the resemblance was eerie. Same almond-shaped brown eyes and thick black lashes. The younger one’s eyebrows were a bit thicker than the more beautiful one’s. His chosen beauty had fuller lips. Red lips made for kissing, preferably by him.

His gaze stopped on the tall blond leaning casually against the wall opposite the room from him. Broad and clean-cut, piercing blue eyes, and a stature about him that said “I’m all yours.” Jariko smiled. That he will be. He glanced at the exit and then back to the blond. The blond was already putting down his wineglass and heading to the exit.

  * * * *

Jariko slammed him against the brick wall. “Did you see her?” he hummed, lips brushing along the blond’s neck. Surely this pup had recognized beauty when she walked in a room.

Kendal’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed. “She’s older,” he murmured, eyes closing as his hand caressed Jariko’s thick erection, tenting the black slacks. Of course, how could he not notice her! She was the only sophisticated-looking one of the group. All the rest of those girls in there were pretty and all, but that woman was a real woman. He nicknamed her cinnamon as soon as he’d seen her. Kendal was surprised this tall, dark, and handsome one wasn’t going for the mini-version of cinnamon. She was cinnamon bit.

“So am I, pup.” He growled, teeth nipping his neck.

Kendal winced. Shit, that hurt! “I saw her come in a little black sports car,” he murmured as the tall, dark, and sexy man grabbed his balls, giving them a squeeze. Kendal groaned, eyes slamming shut and a sharp breath ripping between clenched teeth. “Maybe she won’t like rough play like you,” he said as Sexy released and massaged his sac. Tingles shot up Kendal’s spine and reared back down. His dick wept with need.

Jariko dropped to his knees, fingers deftly undoing the buttons of the black jeans. This young pup wore jeans to a social? Ballsy…He tugged them down over hip bones, thumbs caressing soft firm skin. He would hold these while fucking his ass later. He lifted his shirt, and his hand skimmed over taut abs. A beautiful, thick erection stretched to touch that beautiful navel.

Jariko dipped and his tongue thrust into that navel. “What’s your name, pup?” he murmured, his lips caressing the bulbous, hot-pink—closer to purple—head, glistening with a little treat. He licked up the glistening bead, humming.

Kendal inhaled a sharp breath. “Ken…” A strangled groan tore from him as Sexy sucked him. “Daalll,” he whimpered.

Jariko leaned back and looked up at the man, thick black brows raised in question. “Did you just say Ken Doll?” he mumbled. Shit, did he really catch that?

Ken chuckled. “Kendal,” he offered more hastily, breathlessly.

Jariko smirked. “Ken Doll is better…Jariko,” he offered his own name before his mouth engulfed Ken Doll.

  * * * *

Mag rested her head against the steering wheel, inhaled a slow breath, and then released. Fuck, she was a pussy! How could she chicken out? She was old enough to handle any of those young pups! She inhaled another breath, this one sharper as the image of Tall, Dark, and Sexy entered her thoughts. Her pussy clenched. She whimpered. Her hand itched to reach between her legs and give a few much-needed strokes.

She exhaled. Don’t think of him! Think…cookies. Have to bake four dozen for that stupid event…fuck! She slumped back in her seat, a scream rending her as his face hovered at her window. Her hand flew to her throat and she swore her heart just leapt out her chest and out the back door, leaving her to fend for herself!

She grunted, calming. Tell her she has no manners? What fucking idiot stood outside a girl’s car and waited like some freak! She pressed the button on the side of her door, her window lowering. “Yes, I have manners, and for your information maybe you should learn a few of your own!” she snapped before he even got a word out to chastise her on whatever he was going to. She was sure she had done something for him to chastise her for. Breathing came to mind.

Jariko’s lip twitched. Did she just snap at him like some harpy? Huh, he had ways to get that out of her. He licked his lips, still tasting Ken Doll’s cum there. “I came to apologize,” he murmured, voice robust and thick.

Mag’s legs clenched and goodness if her pussy didn’t weep at the sound of his voice. Oh holy heaven it had been too long since she’d been with a real, honest-to-God man like this one standing outside her car.

Jariko smirked and saw the leg clench, the way her hands white-knuckled the steering wheel. He’d guess early forties. Her hormones were probably out of whack and all she wanted was to get fucked. His cock sprang to life.

Mag couldn’t take her eyes from his glistening, beautifully full lips. His pink tongue darted out. Yup, pussy weeping. Her nipples even tightened. Oh she was in trouble. Her nipples never puckered!

That stupid pink vibrator she had jokingly ordered from her daughter’s sex party was going to be put to good use later…maybe that butt plug, too! She closed her eyes and couldn’t believe she’d just had that thought. “Look, sir, I have to go.” She started reaching for the keys in her ignition.

Jariko laughed. It was thick and licked her whole body up one side then back down the other, even the intimate parts in between. “Look, ma’am…I would like to apologize.” He glanced at his watch. “It’s only nine. I know of a club down the street, nothing like this bright loud place…I should not have…hmm…made the remark on your manners…I’m sorry,” he murmured, eyes on hers the whole time.

Mag stared. Did he just apologize to her face? The only man to do that to her was her dead ex, oh rest his soul.

Jariko shifted his left arm, resting it carelessly on the roof of her car. “Just a drink,” he tempted.

Mag considered him for a moment, finally giving her head a curt nod. She could do this. The man apologized to her face. He couldn’t be that bad, and it was just a drink. What could she lose?

Jariko beamed. “I’ll lead, I’m the black truck,” he murmured. Mag glanced around the parking lot, spotting the pickup. Her eyebrow arched. It was the only truck in the parking lot. She nodded, turning her keys, and her car hummed to life.

She grabbed her cell as soon as he walked away. Hey, love, going for a drink. Call you in the morning, she texted to her daughter real quick. She jumped when the thing binged to life. A smile came to her lips.

Who, what, where, when, and how? Was sent back.

Mag furrowed her brows. What the hell did that mean?

Don’t know? Drink, club down the street right now. What the F do you mean? She laughed as she sent her response back, the flash of bright lights catching her attention. Tall, Dark, and Handsome…Shit! She didn’t even know his name.

  Chapter Two

Jariko held an arm out to her. Mag considered it a second then took it. Warmth welcomed her. Oh great, another heater. He would hate sleeping with her. She was like a block of ice at night. She rolled her eyes, inwardly criticizing her own silly thoughts.

Jariko chuckled at her side. “Keep rolling your eyes like that and people are going to think I’m just annoying as hell,” he murmured against her ear.

She shivered. How the hell was he doing that? He had a good foot of height on her and he hadn’t seemed to move that close to her.

Her eyes gazed around the dimly lit room. Large booths lined the walls, and a few tables sat in the middle of the
room, some draped with gauzy curtains. She furrowed her brows. What kind of place was this? She had never seen a club like this.

A tall, skinny man approached them. “For two?” he asked.

Jariko smirked. “I believe there is a table waiting…Kendal,” he murmured.

Mag glanced at him. His name was Kendal? He had planned this? What the fuck? Her hand tried to slip from his. He tightened his grip.

The tall man smiled. An all-knowing look entered his eyes, and he gave a short nod. He turned on his heel, and led them across the room.

Mag cleared her throat. “You frequent this place?” she whispered, eyes trying to catch a glimpse at the gauze-covered tables but not quite seeing. She could see three people at one. They were huddled close, whispering among each other. She frowned, looking to another. There were two couples here, one on each side of the table. She chewed her lower lip, glancing up at Kendal…if that’s what his name was.

He smiled. “Not often. I’ve heard of the place. They serve excellent desserts,” he offered. “You didn’t eat much at the social,” he finished.

Mag shook her head. “No. I was there to…” Wait, why the hell should she tell him her daughter finally convinced her to put on some real clothes and try to get a date? “I was bored, thought I would check it out,” she answered quickly, grunting when she realized he had not even asked why she was there, just noted that she had not eaten much.

Mag came to a halt at the sight of the blond sitting in the booth their host led them too. She felt a warm arm coil around her waist. Coil like a snake. Probably not the best thought to have at the moment.
