  * * * *

Jariko gazed at the elegant-looking cabin. A string of beautiful evergreens framed the driveway. Fine white pebbles guided them straight to the house. Jariko’s thick eyebrows arched.

Kendal whistled. “She didn’t look like the type to like the outdoorsy setting,” he murmured, eyes wandering around the surrounding area. Dread entered him. There was no way she lived out here alone! She had to have a man. He shot Jariko a quick look. “You sure this is a good idea? Like maybe she really wanted nothing to do with us last night?” Fear engulfed him. He liked Magan and wanted to see her again and share her with Jariko. Shit, he loved Jariko! He was tall, dark, and so friggin’ confident.

Jariko glanced at the kid. He was panicking. Obviously he had issues that needed dealing with. Correction, they needed to work on together.

“You know, we did kind of push her. You pushed her. Shit, I barely did anything,” Kendal argued.

Jariko chuckled, reaching out and taking hold of Kendal’s hand. “Who needs a girl when I got you talking all unsure and worried,” he replied huskily.

Kendal’s eyes widened in disbelief. Did Jariko just imply he was a bitch?

Jariko laughed. “Relax, if she didn’t want it she would have slapped both of us…” he furrowed his brows. “’Kay, she would have kissed your boo-boo better…me, she would have laughed in my face then kicked me in the balls and laughed again,” he replied. He was positive she was not sure how to take him. She liked Kendal, though. He had caught the odd glimpse of “I want to baby you.” Especially when she looked at him and realized he was so young. “You need to quit being so unsure of yourself, Kendal…If she hadn’t wanted it she would have let us know,” he assured.

Kendal looked at him. Shit if Jariko didn’t make him feel like a young boy who needed mentoring. In the light of day he was still hot. Shoulder-length hair lay in a tousled mess, tight blue jeans hugged his lean legs, and fuck, he wanted to bend over and unbutton his jeans and suck him off. He wondered if Jariko would let him. His black T-shirt hugged his muscled chest. Unlike his own loose grey shirt it just kind of hung around him, same with his loose jeans. He slumped.

Jariko reached out and placed a warm hand behind his neck, squeezing. “You look great,” he murmured, thumb stroking Kendal’s neck, coming to rest on his pulse.

Kendal peeked at him. “I annoy you don’t I?”

Jariko chuckled, giving Kendal’s neck a squeeze, eyes darting, seeing the little hot rod parked in front of the most beautiful four-car garage. He assumed there was a loft up above and to the side that had to be an entrance that joined the house and the garage. Someone had money. He helped build these kinds of homes in his youth. They were not cheap in any way.

“You make me think about my actions,” he replied, pulling up next to the car.

Kendal frowned. Was that a good thing?

  Chapter Five

Dane stared at the two hunks. She plopped one hand on her hip and cocked her head, staring them up and down. Father and son? Damn, the young one was hot…so was the father, though. She sighed. “Mom’s not in right now. She will be back later,” she offered.

Kendal coughed. Mag was a mother! A mother of a young hottie! Shit what had they gotten themselves into? Jariko cleared his throat. “Her car is in the drive. I would like to speak to her,” he replied.

Dane snorted. “Yeah, so would a couple other men. Doesn’t mean I let them!” she replied haughtily, not sure if she actually liked this guy.

Jariko’s jaw tensed. “Other men?” He growled.

Kendal cleared his throat, stepping in front of Jariko and offering a dashing smile. He was not sure what it was about his smile, but whenever he put it out there women tended to give him what he wanted. “Look, we were having a few drinks last night, and she forgot her purse. We would really like to return it to her.” He hummed, leaning against the doorframe.

Dane licked her lips. Okay, the smile was cute but the way he leaned against the frame annoyed her, like he owned the place. She held her hand out. “I will return it to her and tell her you stopped in.”

Jariko grunted. He didn’t like this young twit. She was bossy and unruly.

Kendal shook his head. “Look. I’m sure you’re her kid and all, but nope. I want to make sure she gets it back, and that means I will hand it to her in her hand, not yours,” he replied arrogantly.

Jariko wanted to slap him on the back and congratulate him on growing some man balls.

Dane blazed with fury. How dare this shithead talk to her like that? Although, he did have a good point. They did drive way the hell out here to return it. She sighed. “Come in and wait here,” she ordered, leaving them in the entryway.

Kendal glanced at Jariko when the girl was out of sight. “She has a daughter!” he gasped.

Jariko’s top lip twitched. “I don’t like her,” he replied, eyes glancing around the front foyer. There were closet doors to each side. Another entrance to the left and right. Straight ahead he could see a long hall and stairs. He guessed the rest of the place was beautiful just from what he saw here.

Kendal looked at him in outrage. “Magan?” he asked.

Jariko rolled his eyes heavenward, head tilting back in annoyance, quickly distracted. She had a friggin’ chandelier in her entrance, beautiful. “No, the daughter, dummy,” he grumbled.

Kendal released a breath. Thank fuck, he wasn’t sure he could do anything alone with Magan…obviously if anything more was to happen it would have to be all three of them, and he wasn’t—didn’t—want to lose this. For once in his life he felt whole. Well, he would feel whole once they got to Magan. Last night had been spectacular with Jariko after she had run from them, but he could feel Jariko holding back, and it just didn’t feel as complete as it had with Magan.

Dane returned with a basket and a piece of paper taped to it. She led them out to the side of the house. “See the worn path?”

Jariko nodded, thankful he brought the truck. Dane nodded. “Follow it till you reach the end. You have four-wheel drive on that truck?”

  Jariko nodded.

“Good, you’ll need it, been a while since mom took the truck back there. You may get stuck.” She shoved the basket at him.

He glared at her. She narrowed her eyes, daring him to say something, anything. Jariko took the basket.

“Mom’s lunch. I swear if you two hurt her I will hunt you down and kick you both in the balls, and then I’ll sic my big brother on you!” She glanced at Hottie Blond. “He could definitely take you.” She looked at devilishly dark and handsome—crap, she was calling him handsome. Her teeth clenched. Why did they have to be cute? “My brother and I will tag team you, but we’ll get you down,” she threatened. Jariko’s lips twitched in a smile. He would like to see the day two little ones took him down.

Kendal placed the basket in between them, flipping the note open, brows furrowing. “She thinks I’m cute,” he murmured.

Jariko chuckled. “She’s trouble. If you want Magan you’ll not have a thought of the little…angel.” He forced himself to say it. That was Magan’s daughter. Calling her a bitch would be rude, and he would rather not have Magan yell at him about manners again.

Kendal snorted. “Her! Are you friggin’ kidding?” He made a fake retching sound. “She would be mean and call me down and tell me all my faults and—” He snapped his mouth shut. He was talking too much again.

Jariko smirked. Ah, the young man had had one of those girlfriends. Jariko could relate, as he’d had a few of them like that. The first one had been a doozy. They lasted all of six months before he turned on her, called her an uptight, cold fish, and rudely told her her ass was huge. Of course it wasn’t, but shit, she had annoyed him. She had nagged him to the ends of the earth. It wasn’t one of his prouder moments.

He sighed. “Part of life, Kendal…We all run into those kinds,” he replied, lightly following the worn path, wondering what exactly Magan was doing out here first thing in the morning. Th
e basket of baked goods they had picked up was for breakfast. He glanced at his watch. Nine a.m. Shit, did she wake with the morning cock?

Five minutes down the worn path they ran into the babbling brook. Jariko stopped the truck and arched a brow. “Shit…is that quad treads?” he murmured. She was out quadding?

Kendal chuckled then broke out in laughter, hugging his stomach. “Sweet, sultry goddess owns a cabin and goes quadding on Sunday mornings?” His gaze darted to Jariko. “Think she has a six pack with her?”

Jariko stared at him. Seriously did he just ask…wait, back to the sultry goddess. His cock jerked to life. Holy hell, the kid recognized a trophy when he saw one.

He drove easily across the brook, catching sight of a sledgehammer. He stopped, hopping out and picking it up. He frowned. Was she out hammering things? His balls tensed at thoughts of hammering her front and center. Shit, she made him feel young.

Kendal choked when he saw her. Shovel in hand, digging in the earth, tight jean shorts hugging her toned ass. Shit, he had not gotten to see her ass last night. Was that a bikini top? His dick sprang to life.

Jariko cleared his throat. “She has headphones on,” he whispered. They could probably get away with sitting here and watching her for a while.

Kendal’s mouth went dry. “You brought water, right?” he asked. Shit, just watching her made him thirsty. Another hour the sun would be higher and the heat hotter. Fuck, it could get humid in these trees. He licked his lips.

“There’s a case in the back of the truck,” Jariko mumbled, eyes on Magan, his hands white knuckling the steering wheel. All that was sweet and heavenly, she was sweating and her bare shoulders were glistening.

According to her driver’s license she was only thirty-eight. She had her babies young. She was tugging at an old post now, a new one perched at an angle in the hole she had dug. She heaved and hoed on the rickety old post, finally stepping back and kung-fu kicking the thing.

Kendal’s breath caught in his throat. She moved the friggin’ post. Her legs were tight and firm and shit if he didn’t want those wrapped around him as he plowed her sweet cunt.

Jariko cleared his throat. “We should let her know we’re here,” he whispered, hand reaching for his own cock. Kendal coughed, his hand already down his pants stroking his throbbing dick. “Shit,” he mumbled.

Jariko groaned as she pulled on the post, muscles straining. She released and he clamped his hand around his thick cock. Oh fuck! “Trade,” he murmured, his hand slipping down Kendal’s pants, Kendal’s hand going down Jariko’s.

Magan wiped the back of her hand across her forehead, huffing, eyeing the post. Stupid post was not going to win! She would take this bugger down, and she paused as a shiver coursed through her. Goodness, when would the physical memories of last night leave her? She could already feel her pussy lips swelling again. The ride out had been atrocious, if you could call the vibrations against her hungry pussy atrocious. A quick flutter of her fingers over her clit had sustained her until now.

She growled in frustration and continued on. She’d definitely be taking her little buddy to the bath with her when she got back. Perhaps just plop herself right into bed and take another round or two or three out of the vibrating pink dick.

They watched as she paused then was back at it, heaving, hoeing, and tugging, and with every action she took, so did Kendal and Jariko. Both groaned in unison as they warmed each other’s hands, hot spurting cum filling their palms.

Jariko rested his head against the wheel, catching his bearings and peeking at Magan as she lifted the old post, tossing it a few feet away to the hot-pink quad with the little trailer.

Kendal inhaled ragged breaths. “Shit…Is this gonna get any easier?” he mumbled.

Jariko glanced at him. Kid was trembling. “Glove compartment, hand me a wipe,” he ordered.

Kendal opened it, brows rising in surprise. Jariko had all sorts of goodies in here. Was that a butt plug? His ass clenched. His gaze fell on a tube of lube and then spotted the wipes. His eyes lit, and he pulled out the packet of wipes.

Jariko grabbed them up, his tongue licking off a stray bead of Kendal’s cum trailing down his wrist. Kendal swallowed, watching him. Jariko handed him a wipe, and Kendal took it, his eyes still on Jariko as he cleaned his own hands.

Jariko rearranged himself as soon as he hopped out. “Grab the basket, Kendal,” he ordered, reaching in the back of the truck, retrieving the hammer, and flipping open the chest. He grabbed two bottles of cooled water. His coffee was gone and he assumed Magan wouldn’t want cold coffee.

Kendal held the basket in one hand, his coffee and Magan’s balanced in his other hand. “You used to wait tables?” Jariko asked.

Kendal frowned looking at the cups, shaking his head. “No, ex-girlfriend insisted I should always carry her coffee,” he murmured. Jariko winced. He was all for holding a woman’s things for her, but to carry them…He was sure they had their own hands to do that.

  Chapter Six

Jariko glanced at the iPod clasped to the back pocket of her tiny shorts. The line from the headphones went up her back, tucked in her top and up. She was sweating, and beads of it rolled down her firm back. The woman must work out.

He hadn’t seen so many toned muscles on a woman in a long time. Most women seemed to have the soft swell to them, which was fine, but the whole muffin top thing. He cringed. Muffin tops belonged on muffins, not women.

Kendal stared at her ass as she struggled with the second post, lost in thought. Jariko stared at her shoulders, lost in his own world.

Mag reefed on the post, cursing as it broke and she flew back, landing hard on her ass. She groaned, reaching to rub it when the hands grabbed her. She screamed, jumped out of the arms, rolled, and grabbed up the pistol, kneeling and aiming.

Her eyes widened when both men stood, arms in the air. She plucked the headphones out of her ears and lowered the weapon. “What the hell are you doing here?” she yelled, hands trembling. Shit, they scared her. It felt as though her heart thudded in her throat and fuck, her ass hurt!

She uncocked the weapon and looked the men over. Shit, they were just as good-looking in the light of day. She bit her lower lip. She did a quick mental assessment of her own appearance. Hair pulled back in a messy pony, her daughter’s stupid bikini top with the smiley faces over her nipples, and her old ratty gardening shorts.

She released a breath. White tube socks and her favorite pair of hiking boots finished off her dreadful apparel. She probably resembled some floozy, backwoods hick. She closed her eyes, rubbing the back of her hand across her forehead, passing the two and retrieving her canteen of water.

Jariko cleared his throat. “We brought you your wallet,” he murmured. His heart pounded. She had actually aimed a loaded weapon at them! Where the hell had she gotten the thing from?

Mag looked at him. He was eyeing her gun. She rolled her eyes. “It’s just a pellet gun, knob. You honestly think I would carry a real loaded weapon?”

Jariko relaxed. Thank fuck. Kendal laughed nervously. “Your daughter sent a basket. She’s mean,” he commented. Jariko could have slapped him. Fuck, he wanted to slap him! You don’t tell a mother her offspring is mean!

Mag stared at him. They had talked to Dane? She looked at the baskets on the ground. One had muffins spilling out. “We brought you muffins and coffee…sorry,” Kendal murmured. Both coffees lay on the ground open, draining into the earth. Mag released a short laugh. She crossed to them and lowered. She gathered up the cups. Kendal was quick to take them from her. “I got it,” he murmured. His hand touching hers, he stilled, his gaze meeting hers.

Magan swallowed the lump forming in her throat and stared back into his eyes. “You two shouldn’t be here. You should have left it with Dane,” she murmured. She righted her basket.

Jariko knelt and straightened his out. “We wanted to see you,” he replied.

Mag couldn’t look at him. He was intimidating, and if she looked at
him she would do things that she shouldn’t be doing. Kendal, she could take him. She knew to say no to him. She plucked the note from the basket, glancing at the two and quickly wondering if they had read it.

Kendal blushed. “I read it. Jariko wouldn’t…he even called me rude,” he mumbled.

Mag smiled. She couldn’t help it. She read through the short note, her smile growing. She loved her daughter to bits and pieces.

Hot mom…blond’s a bit of a douche but cute…tall, dark, and the devil is what the other is. Don’t stare too long, he might drag you to hell? Don’t know? You owe me an explanation. I expected one man, but two? Are they father and son?

What the hell! Mag rolled her eyes, folding the paper. “My daughter tells me you’re a douche and you’re the devil. You should both leave and not drag me to hell.”

Jariko snorted. That note alone showed what the daughter knew, close-minded woman. She should be cheering her mother on for having the gall to take on two men. Two entirely different men! Different ages and different personas.

Kendal laughed. “Your daughter is rude. You know she expected us to just trust some strange girl with your personal belongings?”

Mag looked at him. He wanted to return her purse to her in person. Why was he always calling her daughter names? “She even threatened to sic her brother on me and the two of them on Jariko,” he filled in.

Mag smirked. Not sure if Tavis could take Kendal, but yes it would take the both of her children to down the devil. “You shouldn’t have been rude to her then.” She was sure they had to have been rude to Dane if she had been rude to them. She swallowed as her eyes landed on the devil’s intense stare.

“Calling us rude, you can’t even look a man in the eye,” he pointed out.

Mag narrowed her eyes. Shit was he an ass, a beautiful, sensual, all-consuming ass. She clenched her teeth. “I have work to do. You should have left my wallet with my daughter,” she replied, passing them.
