Escape from the Overworld Page 7

by Danica Davidson

“Hey, Maison,” I said, a little uncomfortable. “Do you think it might be okay for me to come visit you in your world again?” After all the havoc I’d brought last time, I didn’t know if she’d want me to come back. Ms. Reid might have wanted me back, but Ms. Reid didn’t know I’d accidentally brought mobs with me and caused all those problems. Maybe Maison only wanted to come visit me and she didn’t want me to go back with her.

But she smiled over her shoulder at me. “Of course!” she said. “I still have to teach you how to play baseball. A baseball bat really shouldn’t be used as a weapon—it’s just that desperate times call for desperate measures, and I’d say a mob attack is pretty desperate.”

That about made me sigh with relief. “I think we need a few more blocks over here,” I said. “What do you think?”

“I think you’re right,” she said, coming over to my side. “And I think this tree house is going to be perfect.”
