“What do you mean? What’s wrong?” Connor spit out the words, concern clearly evident in his tone, but at least he’d lowered his voice.

Tyler pointed toward the bed. Connor peered over his should. “Oh.”

Yeah, oh. Looked like dessert wasn’t on the menu tonight after all. Tyler edged further into the bedroom with Connor hot on his heels. They both rounded the bed, one on either side. They stopped and glanced down at their wife. Their sound asleep, softly snoring wife.

Angela had gotten naked for them, as they’d asked, but then she’d obviously lost the steam to wait. She lay curled up on her side, her hands tucked under her chin, looking as sweet and innocent as a child.

With a heavy sigh, Tyler reached down and pulled the blankets up over her. Then he and Connor flicked off the bedside lamps she’d left on and backed out of the room. They didn’t say a word until they returned to the family room and turned the lights and television back on.

  “Want a beer?” Connor asked.

  “Sure, why not.”

“I think there’s a hockey game on tonight,” he added.

“Nothing better to do.” Tyler raised his gaze to the ceiling and snickered. “Guess she was more tired than she thought.”

Connor paused before he reached the doorway to the kitchen. “Should we be worried, Tyler?”

Tyler sensed a hint of fear in this friend’s concern. He’d been trying hard not to ask himself that very question, because venturing down that path scared the living hell out of him. Ignorance was bliss, right? But he couldn’t not know. If there was something wrong with their wife, he would move heaven and earth to make her better. Nothing would stop him. Her needs, her desires always came first for him.

And he didn’t have to ask to know Connor felt the exact same. His friend may not have been committed to Angela for as long as he had, but his love for her was just as fierce. Together they would help Angela deal with whatever was going on.

But first they needed to find out what the hell that was.

“I hope not, Connor. We’ll give her a week. Let’s get through Valentine’s first, and if nothing has changed with her condition or her behavior, we’ll force her to the doctor’s office. Even if we have to drive her there ourselves and carry her into his office.”

Connor just nodded. Then he turned away to get their drinks.

But worry wormed its way into Tyler’s gut regardless, settling like a lump of concrete.

  CHAPTER THREE

A tingle of excitement zipped along under Angela’s skin as they pulled around to the side of The Vault. They’d been coming to the exclusive club for well over a year now, and each trip was like entering an adult play land. One never knew what they’d see.

Thankfully, Gabe McBride and his brothers ran a top-notch business—one so different than the typical public dance bars. When they felt the need to be more open with their lifestyle, outside the confines of their close friends and family, they had new friends and what felt like family at The Vault. At the club, nobody questioned their living arrangement. Nobody looked at her like she was easy.

Though she, Tyler and Connor had toured the actual vault, the room in the basement the club was named for, they weren’t into the whole Dominant/submission thing. Experimenting with makeshift cuffs and silk neckties were as far down the BDSM path they were willing to go. That didn’t mean they didn’t like to watch, but there was enough action happening in the ballroom and up in the playrooms to fill their curiosity. Most of their true play was done in one of the private rooms, but foreplay definitely took place in some of the more crowded areas of the building.

Dinner with her guys had been fantastic, though she hadn’t been able to eat as much as she would have liked. This past week she’d actually been feeling pretty fine. So good in fact, that after those initial days of discomfort, she’d hoped her bouts of morning sickness were over. Even her need for afternoon naps had disappeared, which meant the guys had relaxed around her and stopped watching her so closely. She still sensed their concern, but after tonight, they’d know everything.

However, today she’d felt off again. She hadn’t wanted to say anything because the guys would have canceled the evening, and they needed this night just as much as she did. Sitting in the back seat of Tyler’s Camaro, she had discretely settled her hand over her belly. Initially, she’d considered telling them about the baby over dinner, but the restaurant had been far too busy, noisy and just not the right atmosphere to break the news. And she didn’t want to do it at the club either, so she finally decided to wait until they got home later. She had their cards with the baby booties inside tucked away in her dresser drawer. She couldn’t wait to see their expressions. They’d agreed children were in their future, and they’d had unprotected sex for the last few months, but sometimes once faced with reality, opinions changed. She just hoped they’d be as excited about becoming parents as she was.

Tyler brought the car to a rumbling stop and shut off the engine. He and Connor climbed out and Connor slid the seat forward and tilted it up, then held out a hand to help her. At least it wasn’t bitterly cold tonight. Just normal cold for their area of the northern US. She’d chosen to forgo winter boots and her heavy parka, instead wearing a simple black wrap which she clutched around her shoulders. But a chill skated down her spine and her breath fogged the air in front of her while she glanced up at the full moon. An odd, queasy feeling came over her. Frowning, she shook it off.

“Ready for some dancing?” Connor looked handsome in his dark, double-breasted suit. Other than at their commitment ceremony, this was the only other time she’d seen him so decked out. As a Project Manager and owner of his construction company, jeans, work boots and a shirt seemed to be the company uniform. Both men had surprised her tonight when she’d walked into the living room to find them snazzed up in their sexy attire. They’d been speaking quietly and stopped suddenly when she appeared. Assuming they had a Valentine’s surprise for her, she had ignored their behavior. But she had yet to receive anything from them. Not that she needed anything, but a card and maybe a small heart-shaped box of chocolates would be nice.

“I’d love to dance with the two of you.” She placed her palm into Connor’s just as Tyler came around the front of the car and wrapped his arm around her waist.

“Well then, let’s get inside and get on that dance floor.” Tyler nuzzled her neck and licked a path up to her ear. “But we’re not planning on spending too long there, baby. We have a room booked and plans for you.”

His words whispered over her skin, and his breath warmed the side of her face, the heat from both their bodies keeping the cold at bay. Sandwiched between them, she had no need for any outer layers. The internal fire generated just being around them was more than enough to keep her warm.

“Sounds like a fantastic idea to me.” She turned her head and captured his lips in a scorching kiss. When she pulled away, her breathing was heavy, her body ready for them, but she needed the taste of her other husband as well.

Connor’s kiss, always a touch more firm than Tyler’s, never failed to arouse her. Her two husbands were polar opposites, and yet they balanced each other perfectly. Where Tyler was light in hair and eye color, Connor was dark. Where Tyler preferred charm and sweetness to get his way, Connor tended to be more straightforward, definitely the more intense of the two. They both cherished and protected her, sometimes too much so. Conner was quick to anger, while it took a tsunami, or a threat to her, for Tyler to reach his boiling point.

But the two of them together were like her very own brand of peanut butter and jelly. Good each on their own, but so delicious when blended together.

After pulling her mouth away from Connor’s, laughing softly at his groan, the three of them walked across the parking lot and into the large mansion through the side entrance. They stepped into the large, luxurious mudroom and wiped off their shoes before making their way down the hall to the ballroom.

The muted thump of the sexy be
at playing beyond the great doors greeted them as they entered the main foyer of the house. Wendy, the club’s hostess was currently chatting with a couple of regulars as they signed in. While they waited their turn, Angela let her gaze wander around the open area, which was bathed in low lighting from the most beautiful crystal chandelier overhead. Each time they came here, the opulence of the home took her breath away. Serene color palettes, a gorgeous winding staircase reminiscent of old Hollywood movies, and gorgeous wall sconces created a subtle but elegant atmosphere.

Nobody standing in her four-inch black peep-toes would even know that beyond the double doors to their right, the ballroom contained people engaged in slow, sultry, sexy dancing, displaying moves not appropriate in your standard dancing establishment. Or that up those carpeted stairs, you could watch a couple or threesome or moresome play out their light bondage fantasy on a small stage for everyone else to enjoy, or that down in the basement, those with a more serious taste of BDSM had their choice of equipment and stations to experiment with, where Dominants and submissives played in a safe, sane, and consensual environment, free from disapproving eyes.

Nobody would realize that the people who frequented this club were open-minded, and didn’t look down on others who chose not to live their version of normal. The friends they’d met here accepted and supported the choices she, Tyler, and Connor had made. She hoped they’d continue to feel that same sense of welcome as their lives changed over the coming months.

  “Angela.”

Angela stopped her navel gazing and turned her attention to the stunning brunette dressed in a long, red gown, drifting toward them. “Hi, Wendy. How’s the night going?”

Wendy offered a slight shrug. “Good, but not overly busy. I’m sure plenty of people might be celebrating Valentine’s in private tonight.” She leaned forward slightly, her voice changing to a secretive quality “I noticed you three have a private room booked.”

“For later,” Tyler said from Angel’s right.

“We plan to get her warmed up on the dance floor first.” Connor added.

Wendy reached out to touch Angela’s arm. “Well, don’t let me keep you then. Just add your names to tonight’s registry and enjoy your evening.” She gifted each of them with a warm smile and then directed her attention to another couple wandering down the hall.

Connor added their names to the guest book and then turned toward the ballroom. As soon as they’d opened the doors, the music surrounded them, as did the murmur of voices, and the sounds of people enjoying the pleasure of dancing with their partners. Women and men dressed, or not, to entice their playmates. Lights sparkled throughout the room like stars in the night sky. Hearts of various sizes hung from the ceiling. Pink and red appeared to be the color of choice for clothing tonight, in honor of the romantic holiday.

The guys swept her forward to an empty table where they hung their suit jackets and her wrap over the backs of the chairs and she laid her purse on the table next to the small floral centerpiece. Tyler grabbed her hand and tugged her straight out to the dance floor, where he twirled her around and then hugged her tight to his chest. Connor snuggled up close behind, his erection firm against her ass.

She snickered and wiggled. “That didn’t take long.”

He stroked his hands over her hips and tucked his head near her ear, almost purring like a cat. “Never does when you’re around me, honey. Especially when you look as hot as you do tonight.”

  “You’re such a smooth talker.”

“He’s only speaking the truth, babe.” Tyler took her hands in his, lifting them so she could wrap her arms around his neck. “I say we get some dancing done so we can have our wicked way with you in the room. It’s feels like forever since we’ve had you.” He dipped his mouth down to brush his lips across hers. “I’ve missed you, Angela,” he whispered. “We’ve both missed you.”

It was true. Lately she’d been so tired; she’d been out cold as soon as her head hit the pillow each night. And last week when they’d promised to smother her in dessert sauce and lick it off her, she’d fallen asleep while she waited for them. She’d felt horrible the next morning, but they’d waved it off, saying her need for sleep took priority over their need for sex.

Well, in just a few hours she’d tell them her news. And then they’d understand the tiredness, hunger, and mood swings. At least with the lack of sexual spontaneity in their lives lately, they hadn’t had the opportunity to really notice the changes in her body. Even if she wanted to, she couldn’t keep her secret any longer. She’d squeezed herself into her dress for tonight.

Angela looked up into her husband’s eyes. “Well, we’re here now, so let’s not waste a moment of it. I’m just as anxious to get back home tonight with my two favorite guys.”

“Angel, honey, we could have stayed home tonight if that’s what you really wanted,” Connor said over her shoulder.

She swiveled to glance back at him. “I know. But I wanted to come out. We all needed a night out. But I do have a surprise for you two, and I want to wait until we get back home to give it to you.”

“Angela, sweetheart. You are all we need.”

Both men planted their lips on her. Tyler on her mouth, Connor on the curve of her neck, his breath a blast of heat against her sensitive flesh. Together the three of them swayed to the music, rocking their hips in perfect sync, both men loose in the knees so Tyler’s hard erection pressed against her tummy, Conner’s against her behind. She literally ached to feel them inside her, to know their hardness filled her. To know they loved her.

Connor’s fingers danced up the sides of her ribcage before sneaking between her and Tyler to cup her breasts. His thumbs grazed across the very tips of her nipples, sending them into a tizzy, and firing a delicious shiver down her spine. She squirmed within the circle of their arms.

Tyler palmed her hips, his long fingers stretched to grip her through the thin material of her dress, slowly inching it up while they moved to the sensuous music, the silky slide a decadent sensation on her skin. Tyler’s lips brushed hers, his tongue slipping between. She tasted coffee from their dinner earlier as she played with and sucked on his tongue as it tangled with hers.

Needing a breather, she moaned and pulled away, only to drop her head back onto Connor’s shoulder. God, what these two did to her. She loved nothing more than to be tight between them, to have them hold her in their arms. To feel their touch, to know their unique tastes and scents.

Tyler ducked his head to capture one of the breasts Connor had exposed and offered him, his teeth closing over her hard nipple. She gasped at the tiny bite of pain. He raised his dark smoldering gaze to hers. With Connor behind and holding her up, she began to melt into Tyler.

Coming to the club gave her an excuse to let go and undulate her body like she’d always dreamed of. As one song moved into another, she raised her arms over her head, closed her eyes and just moved with the music. She let her hips sway from side to side within the confines of their hold. As a threesome, they changed their movements to match the tempo. Slow and sultry. Sexy, raw. Pelvis grinding. Wicked. She never felt as alive as she did when they danced like this. The act of dancing in a place like this was no less than foreplay, leaving the participants so hot and horny; the transition to actual sex was a foregone conclusion.

Behind her Connor’s heavy breathing matched that of Tyler’s in front of her. She could almost feel the thumping of their hearts. Most certainly their arousal and need for her became harder with every second. And she wanted her two men, needed them. It was time to move this party to a private location.

“I think we should get a room.”

Connor’s heavy chuckle at Tyler’s joke made her laugh. Like so often over the last year and a half, their thoughts were in sync as often as their bodies were.

Tyler stepped away when the song ended. Thank God Connor had wrapped his strong arm around her waist or she might have stumbled forward on her desire-weakened legs.

  “Gotc
ha, babe. Come on. Let’s go find us that room so we can strip that pretty dress off you and spend an hour to two showing you just how much we love you.”

She turned and tipped up on her toes to kiss him. Because he hadn’t been facing her while they had danced, she hadn’t had a good opportunity to really kiss him, and she’d missed the taste of his lips.

After an impassioned kiss that left her breathless and them standing in the middle of dance floor, completely unaware and ignorant that the music had changed again, she pulled away. Tyler was already heading over to their table to grab their things. She followed him on shaky legs.

  “I’m right behind you.”

  She smiled up at Connor.

Tyler led them out of the ballroom and up the stairs to one of the private bedrooms. They passed a number of rooms where the activity inside had drawn crowds. The sounds of sex, of bare hands spanking bare backsides and the moans and grunts of pleasure trickled past her ears as they strolled along the hallway. Angela nodded a polite hello to people she recognized, but frankly her focus was on her husbands and what plans they had for her once they were behind closed doors.

Finally Tyler came to a stop in front of room three and stepped aside so she and Connor could enter. She walked forward a few steps, her gaze travelling around the room, hardly noticing the king-sized bed, the long six-drawer dresser or the spanking bench in the corner. They’d used this room before. She was well aware of the toys and supplies inside those drawers. She was familiar with the soft coolness of the red sheets on the bed, of the warmth of the black fleece blanket folded and resting along the bottom of the firm mattress. She knew the shower in the attached bathroom easily accommodated more than two people.

The door closed behind her and she heard the click of the lock. Then Tyler and Connor strode toward her. She felt their presence at her back. Her glance flicked over to the lit candles on the top of dresser. The flame fluttered, sending a hint of vanilla throughout the room. A basket that held an assortment of condoms sat next to the candles. Condoms they no longer needed to use.
