She smiled up at him over his hard cock and looked sexy as fuck. Those sky blue eyes held his as she took him into her mouth. Her one hand gently pumping his cock as her tongue twirled and danced with it.

He felt his orgasm start to build by just watching those blue eyes.

  CHAPTER 22

“Stop.” Cayden said harshly and Anna abruptly pulled away, did she do something wrong.

“Sorry…” She said before moving next to him.

“Don’t be fucking sorry, I’m just too close and I want to come inside you, with you.”

“Oh,” Anna laughed as Cayden moved over her. She didn’t realize how much she had missed. Maybe she did but she didn’t want to admit it.

Now that he was here, ready to commit Anna struggled to believe it was true. Was it a…

All thoughts left her mind as Caleb’s mouth closed over the bundle of nerves nestled in her moist folds.

He licked his way up before circling; Anna bucked in reflex and felt him push two fingers deep inside her.

The world began to spin as his hands and mouth worked in perfect harmony to drive her insane. As she teetered on the edge of sanity Caleb moved over her with that arrogant grin. She heard a foil being ripped and watched him slide it on before he pushed her knees against her chest.

Fuck, Anna thought, this was going to be deep. But she didn’t move away or resist, she wanted Cayden deep inside her.

He nudged her entrance playfully before he thrusted into her. Anna heard a cry, not sure if it was hers, too shocked by the sensation of the deep penetration to care.

She wanted to ask Cayden to stop but then he started moving. Within seconds she was back on the edge of insanity. She found Cayden’s chocolate brown eyes focused on hers as thrusted again and again.

Anna bucked to meet him thrust for thrust and within seconds they both tumbled over the edge and into love.

“Wake up sleepy head.” Anna fought through the fog of the dream. How many times was she still going to dream about Cayden?

She felt a hand slip between her legs and a finger slip inside her. Even as the fog cleared and arousal took its place Anna opened her eyes and found Cayden smiling down at her.

  “Cayden…”

  “Yes, baby?”

“I thought it was a dream.” Anna said groggily.

“It was better than a dream.” He smiled as he retracted his fingers, Anna missed him instantly.

“Merry Christmas Anna,” he whispered as he leaned in to kiss her.

Anna stretched like a cat on the bed and realized this was the best Christmas present ever. Cayden Lee. “Merry Christmas Cayden.”

She pushed up needing to pee but jumped when Cayden’s hand landed on her rump.

  “Ouch!”

“Get a move on, we’ve still got to pack.”

  “For what?”

Cayden held up a keychain and took off a key. “I couldn’t have one made this morning but...” he got down on one knee in front of her. “Will you move in with me Anna-Sophia Jackson?”

Anna jumped into his arms. “Really you want me to move in with you?”

“Well come to think of it,” he stood up and rubbed his chin. “I might reconsider if you promise not to repack my closet, organize my kitchen or nag at me about wet towels on the floor, I’d like you to move in very much.”

Anna smiled as she took the key. “I’ve got to phone Callie, Frank and I’ve got to pack.”

  “Who’s Frank?”

  “My boss.”

“Oh right, you have one of those. You can’t phone him today it’s Christmas. We’ll phone him tomorrow.”

“I can’t believe this is happening.”Anna said feeling high from happiness. She stepped closer to Cayden and hugged him fiercely. “I love you.”

Cayden didn’t answer back, but that was fine with her. She didn’t need a declaration of his love to know he loved her. The fact that he wanted a relationship with her asked her to move in and spent the night with her were evidence enough of his love.

“I’m going to jump in the shower first.” She said and sprinted for the bathroom.

“I’m joining you.” Cayden said even as she heard his footsteps follow her.

The morning passed in a flurry of excitement, the packing of boxes and hurried kisses. Anna had briefly phoned Callie to explain her reconciliation with Cayden and had invited her to a New Year’s Party Hamptons Style.

Anna couldn’t remember the last time she had felt so happy. She had to pinch herself every few minutes to believe it was really happening. Touch Cayden just to be sure it wasn’t all just a figment of her imagination. She knew she was taking a huge leap into the unknown by moving in with him, but this was what she wanted. And if all went well maybe she would get her happy ever after with Cayden after all.

With Cayden’s car stacked they were heading home to the Hamptons. Anna would be back later in the week to collect her car and the last of her things.

She felt Cayden’s hand rest on her knee and smiled to herself.

“What are you smiling about?” he asked cocking a brow.

“Nothing…everything.” She turned in her seat to face him. “Cayden three months ago I thought I’d never see you again, and here I am packed and ready to move in with you after running into you by accident last night. I’ve never done anything this impulsive in my life. I think I’m still digesting everything’s that happened. I mean I haven’t even quit my job yet.”

“As for everything’s that happened, I’m ready for another round.” He winked at her before continuing. “Don’t worry about your job, Lydia wants to work in the city. We’ll phone Frank after the holidays and see if he’s interested in interviewing her, that way you won’t leave him in the lurch.”

“Wow,” Anna exclaimed. “It sounds like you’ve thought of everything?”

“Maybe.” Cayden smiled as he kept his eyes on the road, “but mostly about you.”

Anna cherished the thrill that coursed through her body. She knew there would be many more hitches in the road to happiness but surely she could ride this wave of happiness for now.

They pulled up outside Cayden’s house a little before lunch time. The reality of the decision she had made kicked in. She glanced at Cayden hesitantly.

“Relax, we’ll be fine.” He said reading her hesitancy. “Besides I can’t wait to look at you all day at work again.”

“I haven’t agreed to work for you again.”

“You will,” he said confidently. “Let’s just say I’ve got ways to persuade you.” The sexy glint in his eye had Anna’s nerves thrumming with excitement. All of a sudden she couldn’t wait to unpack and be persuaded.

Cayden lugged all the boxes in while Anna started to find a place for everything. She started with the easy things like her DVD’s, ornaments and her Royal Albert teacups. Then she moved to the bedroom.

She stood in front of the beautiful ornate oak cupboard and fear clutched her throat. This was going to be the hard part. How was she going to ask Cayden to make some closet space for her? The man was known for commitment issues, it was one thing asking her to move in with him, it was another to make space for her.

She opened the closet carefully, as if a boogeyman was going to jump out and felt a smile spread across her face as Cayden’s hands circled her waist from behind.

“I was one step ahead of you,” he whispered in her ear.

“When did you do this?” Anna asked surprised and turned in his arms to face him.

“While you were fussing with those damn teacups for about a half hour.”

“One day I’ll tell you about those damn teacups but now I’m going to unpack my clothes.”

“Great! Listen I’m heading to the store quickly to pickup something we can make for dinner. Do you need anything?”

Anna smiled at him playfully. “You don’t have a Christmas tree?” She asked with the excitement of a child.

&n
bsp; “Seriously? You want me to hunt down a Christmas tree on Christmas day?”

Anna laughed. “Well I’d like you to but I know it’s ridiculous.” She waved the thought away. “Just get something for dinner okay?”

“See you later.” Cayden said kissing her forehead before he headed out.

Anna unpacked her clothes and enjoyed the feeling of contentment every time one of her things touched his. She knew it was pathetic, but for her it felt like he was giving her the world.

She heard her phone jingle on the bed and rushed over to answer it. “Anna? S’dat you?” Her father’s drunken voice slurred over the phone.

“Hi, dad. Yes it’s me. Merry Christmas.” The usual sadness that passed over Anna when she spoke to him settled over her, as the weight of his drinking problem settled on her shoulders she sank down on the edge of the bed.

“I jusss wanted to phone you to tell you sumting, seeing as I won’t be making calls for sssome time.” Anna could hear from his voice his health had deteriorated. Two bottles of cheap scotch a day would do that to you.

“Yes, dad.” She hated the irritant tone of her voice but couldn’t help it. How many times did he call her in drunken stupor? How many times did she need to listen to him weeping over the phone for her and her mother? She was happy today; she didn’t want to deal with her drunken dad on Christmas.

“I’m checking into a rehab centre…now wait before you go interrupting me.” He’s voice held the long ago memory of a man that used to have a firm hand when it came to his only daughter.

Anna held her breath and sighed as he continued to talk.

“I know this is my fifth time, but it’s different this time. I met someone Anna… Her name is Rose and she’s kind and beautiful and for some reason she loves me. I want to be a good man to her Anna, I need to sober up.”

Anna bit back the words that she needed him to be good man for her years ago. “Dad I can’t pay for another stint in rehab.” She let the words hang in the air between them. She’d only just finished paying for his last stint.

“You don’t have to baby-girl.” Anna swallowed the tears that rushed up at his nick-name for her. “I’ve sold the trailer and my car and the difference Rose is going to loan me until I find another job. That’s one of the things Rose has made me see, I’ve never had to give anything up to stop this demon that’s haunting me. If I come out this time I’m cutting ties and I’m paying for it on my own dime, that way I’ll think twice before picking up the bottle. I’m moving in with Rose when I get out and won’t have any contact with the boys anymore.”

Anna knew he spoke of all his drinking buddies, but she didn’t believe him.

“Baby-girl, there’s something else.” Her father’s voice was heavy with emotion.

“Yes dad,” Anna sniffed as emotion clogged her throat. “I’m really proud of you. I’ve never said that before and I needed to. You need to know that a father couldn’t be prouder of a daughter. I think I’ve drank a few times in my life because I was jealous of what you’ve made of yourself, this time Anna I’m going to make something of myself. I’m going to be the one that makes you proud.”

Anna nodded, to afraid to speak.

“And Anna when I’m clean and sober, I’d like you to meet Rose. In sssome ways she reminds me a lot of your mother. In the beginning it felt like I was betraying your mother, but Anna a man’s allowed to love right?” The drunken lilt of his voice had taken a back-seat to the honesty in it.

As the tears spilled Anna gripped the phone closer. She could hear this wasn’t the ramblings of a drunk man today, but rather the honest revelation of a man who had made mistakes. “Of course. I hope she makes you very happy and I can’t wait to meet her.”

“I love you baby.” Her dad said as she could hear the emotion clogging his throat.

“Love you too dad.” Anna greeted before she ended the call. She heard Cayden’s footsteps in the hallway and quickly brushed the tears from her cheeks.

“What’s wrong?” He asked worry shining in his eyes.

“Nothing, absolutely nothing. I just spoke to my dad. He met someone Cayden, he’s going into rehab today, and this time I believe it’s going to work.”

Cayden smiled broadly as he picked her up and swung her around. “I’m so glad for you Anna; I’d like to meet him someday.”

“Soon, hopefully.” Anna said as Cayden sat her down again.

“Come on, I’ve got a surprise for you.” Cayden grabbed her hand and tugged her towards the living room. In the centre of the room stood a small plastic Christmas tree complete with baubles and tinsel.

“Cayden? Where did you…?” Anna’s voice trailed off as she walked closer to inspect the little tree.

“Well it’s Christmas and it’s not like the restaurant will need them tomorrow, so I spared the staff the effort of packing this one away.”

Anna laughed as she turned to him. “That’s right, forever the considerate boss.”

  NEW YEAR’S EVE

The music blared from the sound system over the bar as more and more bodies piled into a cheerful Rosi’s. A long ago tradition started by his parents had been taken over by Cayden the same time he took over the restaurant.

  Rosi’s New Year’s Eve Bash.

All of his friends were there amongst the crowd of happy patrons; all waiting to lead in the new year with good spirits and good friends.

Cayden looked around and found Anna sitting between his friends, a sight that warmed his heart even as he hoped to God that the guys wouldn’t be telling her stories of his horrid playboy past.

After one week of living with her, Cayden couldn’t imagine wanting someone else ever again. She was everything he wanted and more. She did small things that Cayden would never expect but appreciated nonetheless. Like the coffee she brought him in bed every morning, or the way she rubbed his shoulders when he seemed tense. Unfamiliar small acts that Cayden realized made up the contents of a relationship.

Over the past week emotions he had long since forgotten had pushed to the surface. The shock of terror every time he opened to find it organized within an inch of its life. Anna had even organized his small bookshelf alphabetically. The feeling of having a home instead of a house whenever she busied herself in the kitchen. Cayden had never realized that Anna was actually quite handy in the kitchen. And of course the overwhelming feeling of love every time she smiled at him punched him drunk. He still needed to learn that even though he wasn’t perfect Anna loved him anyway. He’d learn to live with all of it and her.

He caught her sky blue eyes watching him across the room and felt a grin spread across his face as he thought about their quickie before leaving for the party.

She couldn’t expect him to leave her alone when she wore a sexy little red dress, with fire hydrant red lips and fuck-me heels. Honestly, who could blame him? She couldn’t, he smirked to himself. She had an earth shattering orgasm and didn’t even need to touch up her make-up.

As he neared the table he felt a small sense of satisfaction as she talked with his friends.

“Cayden, where have you been hiding her?” Skye asked as she lovingly stroked a forefinger over her newborn baby’s cheek. Garret’s baby was born on Christmas day and even though Cayden would’ve never guessed, being a father suited him. His friend stood taller, smiled broader and was even more in love with his wife than on the day of their wedding.

“I told you, I needed to work some things out first.”

“I’m glad you did.” Garret said slapping him on the back. “Because if you didn’t, a certain friend of yours would’ve. Stefan’s been all over her like butter on bread.”

Stefan laughed cockily. “I have not been all over her.” He turned to Anna, “have I?”

Anna laughed, “no you haven’t, although you could stop the twenty questions.”

“Just looking out for Cayden.” Stefan winked at Anna.

  “They’re not too much?”
Cayden asked as he sat down next to Anna.

She picked up her glass of wine and smiled at him conspiratorially. “Too much? Well I must say having FAWN sit next to me was a bit of a shock. You could’ve at least prepared me for that.”

Next to them FAWN burst out laughing. “Honestly, you’d think I need to be in a gilded cage at all times. Seriously I’m just another person, at just another New Year’s Party.”

Seth pulled FAWN closer for a squeeze. “But you’re not babe, you’re famous and people find it hard to relate with you being so awesome.” Seth turned to Cayden. “Do you maybe have a gilded box we can put here for the rest of the evening? We can make her sell autographs for free booze.”

Cayden laughed as FAWN playfully swatted Seth’s arm. “Honestly, you’re incorrigible.”

Anna laughed and touched FAWN’s hand. “Don’t worry I won’t let them put you in a cage, at least not until you’ve finished telling me about your new folk album that’s coming out in the spring.”

“I’d love to.” FAWN said turning away from Seth.

A tiny cry of discomfort pulled everyone’s attention back to the baby in Skye’s arms. He looked so tiny.

“So have you decided on a name?” Cayden asked.

Skye and Garret looked at each other before they started laughing.

“It’s a tossup.” Garret said. “I want to call him Duke and she wants to call him Julius.”

“Duke as in Dukes of Hazard and Julius as in Julius Caesar?” Stefan quipped.

“Yup.” Garrett shrugged. “It’s hard man, knowing he’s got to live with it for the rest of his life.”

“Well I’d say it’s quite easy.” Cole said from the other side of the table, where he had his arms slung around Rose’s chair. Cayden was glad they had decided to join them for New Year’s. They’re relationship had started amidst a serial killer targeting their neighborhood and Rose had almost been his last victim if it hadn’t been for Cole. “If you want the kid to be a clever bad-ass, you call him Duke Roth. It’s strong, it’s clever and the chicks will dig it.”
