“Moira,” Kalchia called in a voice no more than a whisper.
Moira startled at the voice and pivoted back to see Kalchia pushing up off of her bed, her eyes not their normal vibrant violet but a dull milky white.
“My Queen,” Moira responded and ran to her side, falling to her knees, and helping Kalchia to sit up. “My Queen tell me what to do and I will do anything to help you.”
“We will be fine child,” Kalchia responded barely able to crack a smile to calm Moira. “Winter is upon us and we are molting. Each of us is going to shed our summer skin for a set of winter scales.”
“I was afraid my Queen,” Moira admitted. “I thought you were dying.”
“I smelled your fear,” Kalchia responded calmly. “It woke me from my slumber, I knew you were scared and I had to calm you but now I must sleep again so that my winter scales develop. Watch over me Moira so that I might feel safe.”
“I will my Queen,” Moira promised as she watched Kalchia lay back down and quickly drift off again.
Moira sat guarding the King and Queen as they slept, she only left to get food or relieve herself and even then she took as little time as possible. She did start to see some reptilian people milling about the town later in the day, they looked different, bulkier, and no bright colors in their scale patterns only blacks, whites, light blues and greys. She also noticed the temperature outside was getting noticeably cooler and almost uncomfortable for her naked body, she did not know what she was going to do when winter really kicks in.
Moira sat most of the night before she noticed stirring on the King’s side of the bed and he startled her as she sat bolt upright. He stood quickly, stretched and then flexed his muscles causing his skin to bulge and then crack open.
“My King,” Moira said quietly so as not to startle him. “Can I help you in any way?”
“No!” he snapped at her and then calmed himself. “I do not need your help. Help your Queen when she wakes.”
Moira watched him pull shreds of his old skin off and underneath were new thicker scales colored black, deep blue, light blue and white in a mottled pattern. She watched him reach up and pull the milky white outer covering of his eyes off to reveal pearl colored irises. His coloring was almost totally different, just when she thought she was figuring them out they surprise her again. She watched the King stalk over to her and she was mesmerized by his stunning new appearance.
He smelled her up and down flexed his head flanges causing the flaps of skin between them to fan out and then spoke. “Do you like your King’s new form?”
Moira flushed and felt a rush of excitement run through her at the sight of him and answered thickly. “Yes my King.”
“When I come back from this next hunting trip, you will show me how much you like it,” he said as he moved closer to her his huge form dwarfing her. “For now I cannot be distracted by the flesh but when I come back I will take you, hard.”
“Yes my King,” Moira said in a whisper her eyes locked with his and a thrill ran through her at his words. “I am yours my King.”
She watched as a deep toothy grin came over his face and he pulled away and walked with purpose out of the hut. Moira breathed deeply feeling desire stir within her at the encounter she just had with the King. Movement on the bed shocked her back to the here and now, she looked to the bed and watched as Kalchia sat up and began to stretch. She was beautiful, Moira always admired her raw beauty and comely curves.
Moira watched as she crossed her arms, flexed and arched her back breaking her old skin and forcing her new scales out into the open. It was amazing watching her slide out of her old skin, the dull scales being shed and giving way to vibrant new scales of black, light blue, grey and white crossing her body in seemingly random patterns. Just like the King the last thing she did was remove the milky coverings on her eyes revealing striking ice blue irises.
“You’re stunning,” Moira said absently as she stared completely entranced by Kalchia’s beauty.
“You are too kind girl,” Kalchia replied and smiled warmly at Moira. “Thank you for watching over me, I felt more at peace.”
“Why didn’t you let me know it was going to happen?” Moira probed. “I would have gladly looked over you from the start.”
“It came on suddenly,” Kalchia admitted. “We were not prepared. Usually the winter molt comes later in the year, by at least another cycle of the moon but this year it is very early, the snow may begin at any time.”
“What will I do when the snow falls?” Moira asked with a concerned look. “I will freeze long before the winter ends. Is there no way I could wear clothing for the winter.”
“Silly girl,” Kalchia scolded as she walked over to her night table and opened a wooden box on top of it. She pulled a ring made of entwined, platinum sculpted in the shape of flames from the box and offered it to Moira “I would never let you freeze.”
Moira took the ring from her and asked. “What does it do?”
“It will keep you warm in any weather.” Kalchia answered with a smile. “Anyone you touch will also be given its benefit while you touch them. It was given to me by my mother, and now I give it to you.”
“Thank you so much, but would you not want to give it to your own daughter?” Moira asked as she slipped the ring on her finger and felt it shrink to fit her exactly.
Kalchia hung her head slightly and spoke softly. “I am barren, I will not have a daughter but I do have a best friend and I chose to give her this special gift.”
Moira did not say anything she just embraced Kalchia and hugged her tight and felt Kalchia return the hug. They stood holding each other for some time before letting go.
The rest of the day Moira spent walking the town at Kalchia’s side and they watched as more and more people emerged from their homes with their new winter scales. The town transformed over two days everyone had molted and it was almost like meeting entirely new people. Moira marveled at how she had lived with these people for months and still knew so very little about them, she decided that she was going to learn everything about them. That would be her new mission, to embrace these people as her own.

The next day the King and his warriors left on the last hunting trip of the year, Moira and Kalchia watched them leave from a hidden spot on the edge of town. When they could no longer see the group of warriors they started back toward town center along one of the cobbled paths. Almost as soon as they were back in the main part of town they were approached by a tall lean reptilian male.
“Kalah,” Kalchia spoke with authority. “Why do you approach me?”
Kalah bowed his head and spoke. “I have urgent news my Queen, and it requires your immediate attention.”
“If it truly is urgent, then loosen your tongue Kalah,” Kalchia ordered.
“Yes my Queen,” he responded and took a deep breath before he continued. “We have found an intruder in our lands, a…Human intruder.”
Moira sat shocked at the words that she just heard, she was once that intruder and she knows what happens next. They will wake up in a cell, scared and alone and they will stay that way until someone comes in to give them a bit of warmth and companionship. Thoughts started to cross her mind if it was a man or a woman that they had found, and she wanted to be involved in the process of introducing them into the town. She has made a lifelong friend in Kalchia and she wanted the person that is here now to have a bit of what she had.
“Male or female?” Kalchia questioned.
“A female,” Kalah replied a bit hesitantly and nodded in Moira’s direction. “A young female, maybe as young as her.”
“Put her in the cell,” Kalchia ordered with a concerned look. “Let me know when she is in there and I will handle the rest.”
“Yes my queen,” he responded as he turned and rushed off toward the main entrance to town.
Moira watched Kalchia turn to look at her and she could see a sadness in Kalchia’s eyes. She did not understand the sadness, t
hey were going to introduce another girl into the town and she would be someone Moira and Kalchia could share experiences with.
“Why do you look so sad?” Moira asked with a smile as she stepped up to Kalchia looking deep into her eyes. “This could be someone we could have amazing times with.”
“You only see the good Moira,” Kalchia responded smiling back. “I have seen others come and go Moira, you are the only one I have gotten to know well. All the others, either they became violent and had to be dealt with or they leave in the night never to be seen again.”
“I am the only one that chose to stay and accept my fate?” Moira asked her smile disappearing.
“You are the only one strong enough,” Kalchia answered honestly. “The King’s appetite for mixed pain and pleasure is an acquired taste. Most women do not have the stomach for it, and some would rather die than endure it.”
Moira had never thought of herself as strong, she had always thought of herself as weak and childish. She stood there saying nothing just trying to soak in the knowledge she had just acquired. She could not fathom running off and dying in the swamps or becoming violent just to get back to her life before. She liked it here and more and more found herself thinking she is not sure she would go back even if she could.
“You helped me,” Moira said suddenly. “You gave me strength, and you helped me endure.”
“I just showed you our ways so you would not offend others and get yourself killed,” Kalchia said hanging her head. “I showed you how to please your captor.”
“You taught me to live here,” Moira said smiling again. “You showed me love, you showed me how to endure, and you heal me when I am hurt. You do not have to heal me you could leave me to heal on my own.”
“You have made your point child,” Kalchia said smiling and beginning to walk toward the holding cells at the far edge of town. “I will hold hope that they are as open minded as you.”
Moira skipped up beside Kalchia and hooked arms with her as they walked together to the holding cell. They did not talk but just enjoyed the walk and each other’s company. The first flakes of snow for the year started to fall and Moira watched them flutter down in around them as they walked, it was beautiful and made her think of her family and how her mother loved the snow. She quickly dismissed the thoughts as they caused a longing within her that could not be satisfied.
As they neared the cells by the blacksmiths forge Moira’s mind turned to new thoughts of the girl that was being held captive. Every hit of the smiths hammer brought back her days in isolation, his hammer striking the metal on his anvil was the only sound she heard in all those days she was kept here. The experience affected her deeply, maybe more deeply than she gave it credence. A chill ran down her back at the sound as she walked away from the forge to the holding cells.
“This is hard for you?” Kalchia asked suddenly. “Hard for you being back here in this place where you and I first met?”
“I…I guess it is,” Moira said shrugging off her obvious discomfort. “I did not know I had some of these feelings, or maybe I did know but just stuffed them way down.”
Moira looked ahead down the path and could see there were four large, iron bound, wooden doors mounted at even increments right into the surface of a large natural stone mound. In each of the doors there were two holes cut one at the bottom just big enough for a plate of food to be slid into the cell and the other near the top about one hand square, just big enough to let some light into the cell during the day. All of her days inside there came flooding back, the isolation, the fear, the helplessness and then the despair. She pushed all the feeling down, that was a different time and she was a different person then, she had to keep her mind on who she is now.
She followed Kalchia to the last cell door in the stone mound and they were met by a tall well-muscled warrior, his scales were mixed patterns of dark blue and grey, his eyes a light blue, and his head flanges and spikes were short marking him as a very young warrior.
“She awaits you inside my Queen,” the warrior said in a deep hiss of a voice. “She will be unconscious for quite some time.”
“Thank you Samian,” Kalchia replied and motioned him to leave. “You can leave us now.”
“My Queen….” Samian began but was cut off.
“I said you may leave us,” Kalchia interrupted him with a stern glare. “Now, Samian.”
“Yes my Queen,” Samian conceded as he turned and left beck toward the blacksmith’s forge.
Moira watched Kalchia turn back to the cell door her scaled hand grasping the heavy iron bolt that held the door shut and slid it so the door could be opened. She watched Kalchia push the heavy wooden door open easily, it seemed to be perfectly balanced as it swung in with the barest of effort. Inside Moira could see a girl lying unconscious and naked on a mound of hay. She was young maybe the same age as Moira, long dark hair that flowed and covered her face in the position she was in, and she was tall for a girl, lean and muscular with large round breasts sitting high on her chest. She was beautiful and looking at her lying there naked and helpless made something stir inside of Moira.
“You like her?” Kalchia asked in a soft kind voice as she smelled the sir around Moira. “I can smell it on you and it excites me. I love your scent Moira.”
Moira flushed at her words as she spoke, “I find it excites me to see her helpless and at our mercy. I want to touch her.”
“Then touch her,” Kalchia said plainly and offered up a truth of her own. “I touched you when you were lying unconscious on the hay. I ran my hands all over your smooth body feeling every inch of you watching your nipples harden at my caresses, I listened to you moan at my touch.”
Moira felt a fire ignite within her at what she was listening to, she several steps toward the girl and then kneeled beside her. She knew it was wrong to do this but she wanted to feel the girl in this state, she wanted to touch her and make her moan like Kalchia had done to her.
“Touch her,” Kalchia prompted panting heavily as she talked. “I want to touch her too but I want to watch you do it first.”
“It’s wrong to touch her without her permission,” Moira whispered as she leaned closer to the girl, “It’s not moral.”
“Human morals,” Kalchia countered with an excitement in her voice. “Our morals are different we take what we want, when we want it from those that are our captives. It is our way Moira.”
Moira reached forward and brushed the hair out of the girl’s face and gasped as she realized she knew the girl. Her name was Candice and she was the eldest daughter of a man named Claude. He was the tax collector in their region, Moira’s mind wandered back to all the days she worked with the girl filling the tax collectors cart with the portion of her father’s crop that went to the King of men in this area. Moira had admired the girl, she had come into womanhood early, her breasts became large and full last year by harvest time and her figure had become shapely like a real woman. They were the same age only a month or so difference and Moira was slightly jealous of her but now she looked down at Candice and could do what she wanted.
“You hesitate, why?” Kalchia asked as she kneeled beside Moira and breathed in deeply through her nose smelling Moira’s excitement. “I can smell you want this.”
“I know her,” Moira admitted and kept staring at her naked form. “Her father is a tax collector for the King of men.”
“What is a tax collector?” Kalchia asked with obvious confusion on her face.
“In the world of men we pay a portion of our crops to the King to help support the kingdom that we live in,” Moira explained not knowing if she would understand. The concept of taxes was foreign to the lizard people their King demanded only obedience and that everyone pull their own weight.
“I am not sure if I understand,” Kalchia said honestly. “She is a daughter of an emissary of your people’s King.”
“Yes,” Moira responded quietly and reached forward placing her fingertips on the girl’s flat stomach
, feeling her warm soft skin. Moira exhaled long and slow as her hand moved to the girl’s breast and cupped it. She could feel goose flesh rising where she touched and she could see the girl’s nipples hardened. Moira gasped slightly as she felt the hard nipple and squeezed it between her fingers.
Moira kept touching Candice running her hands all over the girl’s body and the heat between her legs was becoming unbearable. She watched as Kalchia joined her and she could see that Candice’s breathing had deepened and she was moaning slightly with every touch. Moira pulled back and sat on her heels with her knees spread exposing her lower lips and Kalchia leaned in close to her and breathed in her scent deeply.
“We need to check if she is still a virgin,” Kalchia said softly. “I will do it.”
Moira watched Kalchia position herself between Candice’s legs spreading them wide and then slid two fingers down the girl’s pussy lips spreading them slightly. She watched Kalchia raise her scaled fingers to her mouth and lick them until they were slick with saliva and then lower them back to Candice’s pussy. With one fluid effortless motion Kalchia slid her fingers deep into Candice, Moira let out a low moan at what she was seeing.
“She has not been a virgin for quite some time,” Kalchia said confidently as she slid her fingers in and out of Candice several times causing the girl to moan deeply in her mostly unconscious state.
“Did you do that to me when I was lying unconscious?” Moira asked throatily not able to take her eyes off of what Kalchia was doing to the girl.
“You were so tight,” Kalchia said remembering the experience and feeling her excitement build deep inside. “I could not get more than the tips of my fingers in you without resistance. I knew the King would want you as his and if he wanted you then I could have you too.”
“You never told me this before,” Moira stated in a soft voice as she ran her fingers over Kalchia’s finely scaled head while she looked deep into her eyes. “You wanted me first and you convinced the King to make me his concubine?”
