Molly looked around the room quietly and watched as everyone looked at sweet little Bennett. Justin and Chloe walked in with their baby daughter, Nora. They all smiled and laughed about the birthing experience. Jake and Justin held their babies next to one another and compared fingers and toes. Jake made a joke about his son dating Justin’s daughter in the future. Justin wasn’t having any of that.
Molly made her way over to Lane’s side, “Congratulations.” She leaned down and gave her a tight hug.
“Thank you. Do you want to hold him? I’ll get him back from Jake.” Lane smiled up at her.
“No, that’s fine. I’ll wait until you get home and settled in.” Molly smiled, “I’m going to take off. I’ll come by this weekend, okay?”
“Don’t go. Stay.” Lane begged.
Just as she was getting ready to dismiss Lane’s request, Cole - or Rook as Molly had learned the guys called him - came into the hospital room. He was the youngest on the force. He was very sweet, but definitely immature.
“Check it out, you guys! In honor of this momentous day, I decided it was time to live life like there is no tomorrow. With no regrets. So I got a tattoo!” Cole rolled up the sleeve of his shirt and held out his left forearm for everyone to see. There it was in permanent tattooed ink on his skin, NO REGERTS. Oh no.
Sierra came into the room as everyone was looking at Rook’s new tattoo.
“What are we looking at?” Sierra looked at his arm, “Oh, you dumb motherfucker. Really? Not even one regret?” she asked sarcastically.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Rook yelled.
“Regrets is spelled wrong, Gert.” Sierra rolled her eyes at him.
They all started laughing and poking fun at the young rookie. Poor kid. It was clear Sierra had just given Cole his new nickname. He probably didn’t care, though, so long as he was no longer known as “Rook.”
As the room became more crowded, Wesson was forced to stand close to Molly. Someone started joking about how much sex the two new moms in the room needed while they were pregnant. “Don’t you have to wait like six weeks before you can have sex again?” Wesson asked. “Man, you must love your wives, because that is something I could not go without for that long.”
Now was as good a time as ever for Molly to leave.
She spoke over everyone, “You all have some issues I can only imagine having. I’m out, I'll see you all at Brenden and Sierra’s next weekend for the Fourth of July festivities. Congratulations!”
As she tried to slide past Wesson, he muttered under his breath, “I’ll give you some issues, Molly. You won’t walk straight for a week.”
What?
Molly felt heat move from her stomach to between her legs. Holy shit. Wesson had never had that effect on her before. She had to admit, she liked it. Don’t show your hand, Molly. She stepped out the room and took a deep breath.
As she walked to her car in the parking garage an idea popped into her head. She’d seen Wesson with women before. She knew he was experienced. Hell, he’d admitted that much in the hospital room just a few minutes ago. Maybe he could help her with her situation? Help her move past her mental block and get her ‘in the saddle’ for the first time ever. In turn, maybe she could offer to help him with something?
This could be the best idea she’d ever had. She just had to figure out some way to talk to him about it first...
