His mouth covered mine. Between us, we managed to unbutton his pants and push them down. Without looking, I groped around and found his erection. My fingers wrapped around his cock. It was thick and hard. My eyes widened up at him as I moved my hand from base to tip and back again.

“Jeez, Tommy. Is that all you?” I asked on a stunned breath.

He lifted his mouth from mine. “Every damn inch, baby. And it’s all for you.” He raised himself up and positioned himself between my legs. He braced himself on his hands. His massive arms and shoulders bulged as he gazed down at me. “Every damn inch.”

He moved closer and held himself up on one hand as he slid his free hand beneath my ass, lifting my pussy to meet him. I’d already been thrown into delirium with the first orgasm, where he’d essentially kissed and licked me right over the edge to ecstasy. I shocked myself when I realized I was ready again. The fresh rawness left behind by his mouth and facial hair still made my pussy tingle with need.

His intense gaze flashed hazel green as he pressed the slick, fleshy tip of his erection against my pussy. I reached up and clutched at his arms as I lifted my ass higher to meet him. With almost excruciating slowness, he penetrated me, filling me inch by inch, nearly teasing me to distraction with the idea of him filling me completely.

“Tommy,” I whispered. I was sure he couldn’t hear me over the clamor of the boxcar, but his eyes drifted shut.

“Again, baby, whisper my name just like that.”

“Tommy.” The whisper was even breathier, deeper than the first time as his cock filled me.

“I could hear you whisper my name like that over and over again and never tire of it.” He pushed in deeper. His heavy sac tapped my naked ass as he sank in farther.

“Tommy,” I whispered again. My legs went around his waist. I gripped him hard with my thighs as he rocked against me. His thrusts seemed to deepen with each pass. It seemed as if he was reaching all my sweet spots.

His hips moved faster, encouraging erotic friction against my clit. His arms flexed beneath my fingers as he pumped his cock into me. Several more full thrusts and my pussy clamped down around his cock. My body splintered into a million glittering pieces as a deep, low moan rolled up from his chest and he came.

He stayed there buried inside of me, catching his breath and gazing down at me like no one had ever looked at me before.

I reached up and pressed my hand against the side of his face. He closed his eyes at my touch.

  “Tommy,” I whispered again.

It was all a little hard to understand and a little surreal, stretched out naked in a boxcar with Tommy Sawyer tucked between my legs. But as dreamlike as it felt, it also felt right, as if this was where I’d belonged the whole time.

  Chapter 30

  Tommy

Andi curled into me with a sleepy sigh as the train came to a stop. Her face popped up.

“Are we at a town? Thank goodness we took the time to get dressed.”

I moved my arms down her back to her ass. “Huh, and I was just thinking the exact opposite.”

“Is that right?” She wriggled closer.

Voices and a car honking let us know that we had stopped somewhere near civilization. “Guess I should check it out.” I pushed to my feet, walked to the opening and peered up toward the engine. Several men were standing outside of the front car talking. We were at a train stop. There were buildings just beyond it.

Andi came up behind me. “Looks like a town, and I see a diner. I’m so hungry I could eat the old, stale piece of licorice hiding in the front of Dawson’s backpack.”

“Licorice? You’ve been holding out on me.” I glanced back at her over my shoulder. Her hair was a mess and a respectable rail riding smudge of dirt marred her creamy pink cheek. I couldn’t help but smile. “You are already looking the part of a boxcar tourist.”

She combed her fingers through her hair. “Boxcar tourist, is it? I like that.”

“Anyhow, my fellow traveler, I think we should probably jump ship. They might be checking cars for people like us.”

“You mean for people having wild, naked sex in their freight boxes?”

“Yep. I’m figuring if there’s a diner, there’s a motel nearby. We could keep our feet and our wild, naked sex on solid ground for a day. Then we’ll make plans from there. What do you say?”

The men who were standing near the engine were starting to move along the track.

Andi turned away from the opening. “I say let’s get out of here. I’m in no condition for a mug shot. Real food, a hot shower and a real bed sound divine.”

I rolled up the sleeping bag and strapped it to my backpack. I placed mine on my shoulders and held onto Andi’s. I leaned out the door. The men were still a good twenty-five cars up the line. They were focused on something between two cars. I took hold of Andi’s hand and helped lower her out of the boxcar. Her feet landed on solid ground. She turned around and reached up for her backpack. I hopped out.

We took off at a slow jog and stopped once we were clear of the train. The train tracks continued on behind the small town, a quiet place with a lot of matching yellow brick buildings with red awnings. A few miles of houses dotted the landscape past what must have been deemed the commercial area.

  “Where are we?” Andi asked.

“Don’t know. Forgot to turn on the GPS in the boxcar.”

“Funny man. As long as there’s food in Oz, then I don’t care where we are.”

  “Oz?”

“Surely you noticed the yellow bricks?”

“Yeah. Looks like they had some extra yellow paint and decided to just paint everything the same color. Let’s follow the yellow bricks to that building on the corner that seems to have the scent of bacon floating out its front door.”

An older couple stepped out of a hardware store as we passed it. They were carrying a new rake and shooting us suspicious looks.

“Something tells me this town doesn’t care for strangers,” Andi said. “Guess it’s the same in Bluefield. When you live in a small town, you know every face. The ones you don’t know, look out of place. Guess we’re the out-of-placers now.” She glimpsed sideways at me. “The big backpacks probably don’t help, especially on a massive, heavily tattooed man.”

“Are you saying I look unsavory?”

“Well, you did just jump off of an open boxcar. Plus, I know what you were doing in that boxcar just a few hours ago, so—”

I stopped her in front of the small post office with its giant flagpole and flag waving proudly above the squat building. I took her arm and turned her toward me. “Just mentioning the fun in the boxcar has stirred up a different kind of appetite. Maybe we should get the food to go, strip naked, climb into bed and eat pancakes along with some other activities.”

She kissed me, and I was starting to get used to it. All these years of dreaming about Andi hopping up on her toes to kiss me had finally turned real. It was as fucking awesome as I’d imagined.

“We could get the food to go, but there’s one small hitch in that plan. We have no place to actually go.”

“Good point. Besides, I’m not sure how far I can walk without food energy. We’ll eat first, then we’ll find a place to get naked. By then I’ll have plenty of energy for whatever activity we plan.”

We walked across the street to the diner. The aroma of grilled burgers and onions hit us the second we walked inside.

I took a deep breath. “We’ve found food paradise, it seems.”

A young woman with short strawberry blonde hair, freckles and a pretty smile walked over with two menus. She flashed me her white teeth. Her blue eyes looked me up and down. “How many?” she asked without even glancing at Andi.

Andi put up two fingers and held her hand in front of me. “There’s two of us. But, apparently I’ve disappeared into another dimension.”

The server looked briefly toward Andi, clearly confused about her dimension comment. She quickly returned her batting eyelashe
s my direction. “Follow me.”

Andi shot me an eye roll as she passed me. It seemed every face in the place, including the short order cook behind the kitchen window lifted to watch us walk past. About the only person not casting us judgmental scowls was the server.

A sparkly grin was plastered across her face as she, with slow precision, placed the menu in front of me. “I’m Sabrina, if you need anything.” Then she tossed the second menu in Andi’s general direction before walking away with an exaggerated sway of her hips.

“Well, shit, don’t let me put a crimp in your style there, Huck.”

“What? So far she’s the only person in this town who hasn’t looked ready to chase us off with fire and pitchforks.” The front door opened, and two police officers walked into the diner. One was an older man with thick gray facial hair and an angry pair of eyebrows. The other, a younger, less serious looking man, had a belly that looked as if he’d swallowed a beach ball. They made a point of nodding hello to all the other customers, but when the older officer’s eyes drifted to our table, his gaze and the polite nods stopped. He stared openly at me. Andi was facing the back of the diner and hadn’t seen them walk inside.

“And let the pitch-forking commence,” I muttered.

Andi moved to twist around, but I tapped her shoe. “Don’t bother to look.” I sipped my water. “It’s two police officers, and they don’t look thrilled to see us. Or, I should be more specific . . . me.”

Andi’s brow furrowed. “I’m about ready to stand up on this table and tell everyone that their little town sucks and that they’re a bunch of grumps.”

“Yeah, don’t think that would help our case.” We glanced over our menus.

“I’m so hungry, everything looks good. But I’m going for the burger and fries.” Andi folded up her menu.

Sabrina, our server, returned and whipped out her order pad. “What can I get you, sweetie?” Again she focused her attention directly at me.

“I’m still deciding, you can start with her.”

Reluctantly, she looked over at Andi.

“Yes, hello,” Andi said with an overly sweet grin. “I’ll take a burger and fries. No onions.” She added with a wink. “Never know when a spontaneous urge to kiss Mr. Sweetie, here, will pop up, and I don’t want to be dealing with onion breath.”

Sabrina’s mouth twisted angrily as she scratched Andi’s order on her pad. She turned back to me.

“I’ll have the same. No onions. Wouldn’t be fair.”

She shoved the order pad in her apron and turned to leave.

“Uh, Sabrina,” I said. Her face shot around, and her smile returned. “Is there a motel nearby?”

Smile vanished and now her whole demeanor got less friendly and more like that of her town mates. “Maggie has a bed and breakfast. Well, it’s more of a house where she rents out a room for a night. She’s in the old Victorian house at the end of Main, but she’s pretty particular about who she rents to. You might be better off moving on to Huntley. That’s the next town over. There’s a motel off the main road.”

“How far?” I asked, deciding not to figure out what ‘pretty particular’ meant. This was obviously an ignorant, paranoid little town.

  “It’s about twenty miles east.”

  “Twenty miles? Thanks.”

Sabrina walked away. The two policemen had planted themselves at the counter and they hadn’t looked our direction more than once since.

“What a charming little place we’ve landed in.” Andi unfolded her napkin and put it on her lap. “I might not have been that far off about Oz. Maybe the lady who owns the bed and breakfast is the Wicked Witch.”

“Maybe we can catch the bus to the next town,” I suggested. “Sorry about all this.”

She reached across and grabbed my hand. “Sorry about what? I love this. I’m having fun, even in Oz. We’ll have an easier time figuring out what to do next when we get some food in us. I think low blood sugar is making everything seem a little dark. A burger and fries are sure to brighten things up.”

“And that, my pretty little Sulli, is yet another reason I’m nuts about you.” I leaned back and noticed that the two policemen were once again, checking me out. I decided a polite nod their direction might help.

“Who are you nodding at?” Andi asked.

“Sheriff Andy and Deputy Barney, over there. They keep looking my way as if they’re waiting for me to rob the place.” I heard a stool move and looked their way again. “Now the old guy is heading this way.”

The officer’s furry brows pinched together as he glowered down at me. He hooked a thumb on his shiny black gun belt as if to remind me that he was armed. He looked pointedly at our backpacks propped up on the seats next to us. “Did you folks come off the train?”

I glanced at Andi. Her eyes were wide. I hadn’t really prepared myself for an interrogation.

“Train? No. We’ve been traveling by bus, mostly. Some hiking.” I inclined my head toward my pack. “As you can see. Is there a problem, officer?”

The last question made his bushy brows knit tighter. “Are you being a smartass?”

“No, sir. You’d know without a doubt if I was being a smartass. I think I just asked a reasonable question.”

“We’re here to eat a couple of burgers before we move on our way,” Andi added curtly.

The man stood glowering down at the two of us as if there had just been a bank robbery and we were wearing t-shirts with the names Bonnie and Clyde.

Sabrina scooted past him, almost shoving him out of her way with the two plates of food. “Scoot, Daddy, these plates are hot.” She grinned at me as she placed the burgers down in front of me and Andi. She straightened, completely ignoring the angry scowl Daddy was showering down on us over her shoulder. “Ketchup and mustard are right behind the napkin holder. Anything else I can get you?”

“No, Sabrina,” I said politely, “this is fine. Thanks.”

She turned back to her dad in a huff. “There you go again scaring off my chances for a nice tip.” She scurried off, leaving an even grumpier officer behind.

“We don’t like to play host to rail riders here. So make sure you stay off those tracks. You eat your burgers and then be on your way.”

I nodded at him, no longer in the mood to chat. I turned my attention to my burger, and Andi did the same. We both took our first bites with him still looming like a giant, angry gray bird over our table.

“Daddy, here’s your food.” Sabrina clanked his plate extra hard on the counter.

  He finally walked away.

Andi’s shoulders dropped with a sigh of relief. “Asshole,” she mouthed to me. I nodded in agreement.

“The ambience isn’t great, but the food is damn good.” She took another hearty bite.

We ate without intimidation or excitement for several more minutes before a panicked clamor started in the middle of the diner. The roly poly officer had stumbled off his stool, his plate crashing to the floor as he leaned over with a red face. He was holding his throat, and his eyes were bulging from his head.

Andi spun around to see what the excitement was about. “He’s choking,” she cried as she flew from the booth. I followed.

“Give me room,” Andi ordered, waving people back with her arms. The officer was flailing wildly in his attempt to get oxygen, while everyone else, his partner included, looked on in horror.

Andi moved around the man, and I steadied him by grabbing his arms. Andi disappeared behind the round man. Her thin arms reached around his belly. She made a desperate attempt to clasp her hands together in front of him, but he was too big. “Damn it. He’s too much for me.” She peeked around his arm. “You’ll need to do it, Tommy. Hurry. I’ll tell you what to do.”

The instant I let go of his arms, he nearly pitched backward on top of Andi. I grabbed his shirt to keep him upright. His face was turning purple, and it seemed he wouldn’t be standing upright much longer.

I circled around behind him and w
rapped my arms around his belly.

Andi moved to the front and positioned my hands just right. “Move your fists inward and up.”

My first attempt did nothing. The man was close to falling on his face from lack of air.

“Again, Tommy. More power behind it. He’s a big man.”

I drove my fists into the man’s stomach again. The tightness in his belly loosened as if a plug had been let out of a ball. I heard a cough, followed by another. The officer dropped to his knees and took me down with him.

“You did it, Tommy. His airway is clear.”

I lowered my arms and heard the officer taking deep, desperate breaths. I pushed to my feet as Andi helped the man to his. Everyone in the diner had circled around to make sure he was all right. The older officer was wearing a much friendlier expression as he approached me this time. He had his hand out to shake and I took it.

Sabrina came around the counter with a glass of water for the man Andi and I had just saved from choking. She smiled at me. “I think you shouldn’t have any problem renting a room from Maggie. Heck, she’ll probably give it to you for free considering you just saved the life of her son.”

  Chapter 31

  Andi

“Yep, I’d say we make a pretty good team.” I broke off a piece of the warm chocolate cookie, a treat courtesy of Maggie, the owner of the makeshift bed and breakfast. As Sabrina predicted, Maggie had insisted that Tommy and I stay in her best room at no charge. Apparently, Officer Grant was her only son, and only family. When others from town relayed the scene in the diner and how the two out-of-towners had saved her Mikey’s life, she’d invited us in with open arms and an oven full of treats.

I searched through the basket of goodies she’d left on the pillow covered window seat. “Oh my gosh, there’s even homemade fudge.” I pulled out a piece and pushed it between my lips. “A slice of heaven wrapped around some chopped walnuts. Want some?”
