He added another finger and thrust them in hard and deep. His tongue swirled over her bundle of nerves and she was so close she could almost taste her orgasm. He added another finger, giving her a full feeling and still he refused to give her the little extra she needed to cum. When she finally climaxed, he wanted it to be all consuming. It was.

Her body jerked and clutched at his fingers as her hands in his hair held him on place. Her legs and knees squeezing against his head stopped him from moving, too. Gods, the female was breathtaking as she climaxed. She screamed his name to the ceiling loud and long causing a smile to come to the lips coated in his woman’s juices.
She continued to buck around as her orgasm consumed her. It eased slowly and she calmed bit by bit. Her breathing was still harsh and her heart pounded in her chest. Her grip on him had eased enough that he began to slide up her body. His cock needed to sink into his woman now.

What would Clancy want him to do? She would be a scientist working for the Mazlans on Oison. Her life would be settled and perfect with or without him. Would she choose him at all? Duke wanted her to. “Clancy, I want us to mate.”
“What does that mean,” She asked.
He often forgot there was so much she didn’t know because of her upbringing. “Will you be mine, now and always? If you will, then I’ll also be yours.”
“Yes, Duke. Oh, yes.”
He kissed her to seal the deal. Everything else would fall into place or be worked out in time. A few days passed and life fell in to a routine. Razar had extra people guarding outside the building to secure it. Nothing had happened in several days and he hoped that would continue.
Life was funny and sometimes things worked out for the best. Clancy had agreed to be his and they had decided they would have a joining ceremony later. For now, they would try to work out their life in a way that would make them both happy. First, he had to talk to Cash and see what the big guy suggested.
“Cash here.”
“Hey Cash. This is Duke. I wanted to give you a heads up. Clancy and I are going to be mates.”
“Well, congratulations. Are you looking to stay in one spot or will you still want to take regular assignments?”
“What is available,” Duke asked.
“I’m going to have a position on Oison and it’s because of you so I feel you should have the right of first refusal.”
“What’s the position?”
“It will be running deep backgrounds on all new hires, doing interviews on all new arrivals, and running security on personnel.”
“Security for personnel?”
“No, you heard me right. He wants security on personnel with an emphasis on new hires. There’ve been too many problems with his employees. Mazlans are exempt since none of them have been an issue. This is only for outside hires. You don’t have to decide today, but the sooner you do, the better.”
“I’ll have to talk to Clancy. It sounds like a good fit since she’ll be working here on Oison.”
They said goodbye and he was excited to tell his woman about this possibility. They could both work on Oison and be together every day, or nearly so. He was sure trips would come up, but they would be few and far between. He left the surveillance room to talk search for Clancy.
She was in class but he called her to the hallway anyway. “Cash has a new position on Oison he offered me.”
Clancy jumped into his arms, kissing him excitedly. “You want it, right?”
“Yes, very much. I want to spend every day with you.”
“Then tell him.”
“Come with me and we can call him from the security room.” He grabbed her hand and led her there. She sat in one of the chairs while he dialed Cash’s number.
“Cash.”
“I talked to my mate and we agreed. I want the job.”
“Congratulations. It’s yours. I’ll be sending Duggin to you in a couple weeks and he’ll take your place there. I imagine you and Clancy will want a place of your own.”
It hadn’t even occurred to him that they could live elsewhere. The security would be a nightmare once the refugees disbursed and each found their own home. “Yes, I’m sure we’ll do that.” Now wasn’t the time to worry about that.
“Okay. I’ll let you get back to work.”
“You heard,” he asked. Clancy nodded. “We’ll find a secure place and I want you to train in self-defense and shooting a weapon.”
“Okay. It’ll help my peace of mind too.”
Maybe all the refugees needed to get lessons. It was something to discuss with Razar and have set up. There was a small gym here where they could train in groups of ten. He would feel better if he knew she had some way to protect herself. He escorted her back to her classes. Clancy would be through with book study and going to hands on training soon. While she would have a security team, so much could go wrong.
Epilogue
Duggin would be arriving any day now. He and Clancy had found a home and they would each get a small transport assigned to them once they moved. Everything was falling into place and he would start his new job a few days after Duggin arrive. Cash had told him some blood test results had come in and he would be coming to give them their results in person.
Duke thought it odd, but he had no choice but to wait until Cash came to inform them. One thing was for sure, it meant they both had relatives that had been found. Clancy had gotten so excited, he’d feared she would pass out from it. Since she had no family that she knew of, it wasn’t surprising that she was happy.
So much had happened to her recently, too. Razar had offered her a position on Oison taking charge of a large section of the farm lands. He had also approved a project she wanted to run dealing with the seaweed in the planets oceans. They took their foods seriously.
One of Clancy’s friends, Brigeta, was interested in trying to find tasty dishes to put the seaweed in. They would be working together on the project and his female was happy about it. Clancy had also ordered a wide array of plants for the yard of their new home. She would have some time right after they moved in to furnish, decorate, and set up the home and yard. He had to admit he was glad Clancy was excited about doing it because
he wasn’t the homemaker type.
He’d heard Razar had done most of his own home to prepare it for his mate. While he admired a male that could do that, it just wasn’t his thing. He would help her, but he didn’t know a thing about choosing colors or where to put plants. It wasn’t that he considered it women’s work, it was anybody but him work. He would provide strong arms to carry and distribute whatever she needed relocated.
Duke could do basic repairs if any were needed. He’d mow the lawn, help harvest produce, and he was great at demo work. He could go hunting or fishing, even dress and cook game over a fire, but decorating left him cold. It was best that Clancy understood his limitations right at the beginning. She seemed to understand and didn’t seem to mind much.
Just yesterday, Clancy had accompanied him to Razar’s headquarters where Duke’s new office was being prepared for him. He’d been excited and she’d supported him. Razar was making sure he had the best internet and computer system available to get the deep background checks done and returned as quickly as possible. The cameras and monitors for the surveillance were also the best available. Failure was not an option and he would have no excuse if he did.
“I like your desk,” Clancy had admitted.
“You’ll have to come visit after the office is done. We’ll break it in right.”
Clancy had turned red, but she hadn’t said no and that gave him something to look forward to. The chairs were all comfortable and he even had a conference room next door he shared with one other guy. His desk chair was custom made to fit a big guy like him.
“We’d best head back to our building,” Duke suggested.
“Not our building much longer,” Clancy pointed out.
They got back and Clancy sat with him in the surveillance room. There were row after row of monitors, each showing a different spot around the building. This was the task Duggin would be taking over once he arrived. Their future couldn’t truly begin until his friend and fellow hunter made his appearance.
They stood outside the building waiting for the shuttle to land so he could begin to train Duggin in the duties of this position. Only he and Clancy stood outside although the others waited in the cafeteria, the largest room in the building. They had set it up for a party. It would be an informal way to break the ice and introduce his buddy to the people he would be protecting until the situation resolved itself, or everyone was trained in some career and fit into Mazlan society.
The ladies seemed particularly excited about meeting a new hunter. For some reason, their reputation as handsome males had spread about like wildfire. He wasn’t the best judge of males, but he had to admit none of the male hunters were ugly. The job required a level of fitness that made all their bodies hard and muscular. Their wild reputations were often romanticized and many of these females seemed to like the idea of bad boys with good hearts.
“I hope your friends won’t be disappointed when they meet Duggin. He’s not what I would call ladies’ man.”
“They won’t be. Sharon already researched him and pulled a picture off Moon Hunter’s site and printed it for the other ladies.”
“You’re kidding?”
“No, I’m serious as a heart attack.”
“Where are you coming up with these saying from?”
“I’ve been reading old Earth books. Getting back to the ladies, they have bets going on who will interest him.”
“Are you involved in that?”
“In trying to interest him? Of course not, but my money is on Sharon.”
“Gods help us all.”
Clancy just smiled and looked toward the shuttle that was now visible in the distance, but coming closer by the second. Duke thought about warning Duggin, but he was afraid he might turn and run. Duke wanted him to start his new job too badly to take the risk. Duggin would figure things out and it would all be alright, Duke was sure of it.
The shuttle came in for a flawless landing. Hopefully, that was a sign of things to come. It was a few moments before the door opened and Duggin was the first one out the door. He hurried to Duke and gave him a half hug, the type they usually exchanged when they hadn’t seen each other in a long while.
“Hello, old friend. This is my mate, Clancy.”
“Wow! A mate and such a lovely lady too.” Duggin took her hand and kissed it like a knight of old. Clancy flushed and giggled like a teenager. When had Duggin become so smooth?
“Nice to meet you, Duggin,” Clancy said. They turned to walk to the building with the ladies lying in wait for Duggin.
“Anything I need to know about,” Duggin asked.
Duke might have considered warning him before, but it seemed Duggin had learned how to handle the ladies better than he used to. It was about to come in handy. “Nah, nothing I can think of,” Duke answered.
He opened the door to let Clancy and Duggin enter in front of him. The next doors were those into the cafeteria and as Duggin stepped in, Clancy moved to the side. The ladies surrounded Duggin and Duke could only see the top of his head. Things were about to get entertaining.

He’d been called in to back up Duke, because whoever backed the labs was coming after the refugees with force. When he met Sharon, he was immediately intrigued. Somehow, she was taken and all he knew was he had to get her back.
All Sharon could think was why me? The bad stuff always seemed to happen to her. This time she’d put herself in danger on purpose to prevent her pregnant friend from being taken. She’d do it again if she had to, but things had just started getting interesting with Duggin and now this.
