Four Can Play That Game: Part One Page 6

by Ostle, J. L.

“I knew you were going to be trouble when I met you.” She laughs.

“I’m making your life interesting, and just think, you will have all these memories to reminisce about when you’re older.” I stand up, looking in the mirror at us both.

I walk over to my phone, wanting to take a picture of us. I take one of us on Snapchat and then I put it on Facebook, writing a status, asking if we look good. I take hold of Clarissa’s hand and we both take in a deep breath. I open the door and the place is full of people.

“How did it get this busy?” Clarissa asks.

“No idea.” We walk out, and I lock the door behind me. “All we have to do is stand in the corner of the room and the guys will come to us.” We head to the dining table and lean against the wall. We look around the room before looking at each other and I start to feel a little self-doubt.

  “You look nervous now.”

“I know. It's easier picturing this in your head. It always works in the movies, but we aren’t in the movies. What if we end up just standing here like idiots?” I start to mumble on and on.

Clarissa takes hold of my hands, squeezing them. “You’re meant to be the confident one. You’re starting to make me feel even more nervous.” She pauses and looks around the room. “We just have to look approachable. We need guys to come over to us.”

“Right, okay. Let me think.” I pause. “Do you trust me?”

Her eyes go big. “Five days of friendship and I’m at a party wearing hardly anything and you ask me if I trust you.” She giggles. “I guess so.”

I lean closer to her, pressing my body against hers, my hands going to her hips. I lean closer to her ear. “Put your hands delicately on my arms.” She does. “We just have to stay like this for a couple of minutes and hopefully someone…”

“Hi, ladies.” I turn my head to see a good-looking guy with thick brown hair and brown eyes, and he is with a friend who has blonde hair and blue eyes.

  “Hey,” I say sweetly.

“We thought maybe you would like some company,” the blonde-haired guy says.

“How sweet of you.” I take hold of Clarissa’s hand and we walk over to the dining table. I sit down and move Clarissa so she’s standing between my legs. I smile when she places her hands on them. I keep my hands on her hips. “You both enjoying the party?”

Their eyes are on our legs and hands. “We are now,” the brown-haired boy says. “What are your names?”

“I’m Jamie, and this is Clarissa, What about you?”

“I’m Steve,” brown-haired answers. “This is Ryan.” He points to the blonde-haired guy. I stroke my hands back and forth slowly along Clarissa’s hip to her stomach. The guys are following the movements. “It’s crazy that we’ve never met before…” he starts to say when a couple of other guys come over.

They introduce themselves as Aaron, Neil, and Daniel. We’re all talking about anything and everything, with each of them trying to flirt with us. I can see some of them are starting to get competitive, wanting our attention to themselves.

Each time Clarissa kisses my cheek, or if I kiss her neck, more guys come over to where we are. We have guys standing behind us, leaning in, trying to be part of the conversation.

I’m actually having fun and I’m getting a real self-esteem boost when I notice a few guys being moved aside. I smirk when Devon, Benjamin, and Zeal stand in front of us. Their eyes trail over me and Clarissa.

“What do you think you’re doing?” Devon asks.

“We’re enjoying the party. I thought this was a party to welcome me to my new home.” I lean further into Clarissa, and my hand starts to trail down her stomach to her legs. Each guy watches, even the trio.

“Wait, you live here? I guess I know which parties to come to,” a guy says, and a few others cheer, agreeing.

“I live here, boys, so you know where to find me if you. Need. Me.” I say the last words slowly and there are more cheers.

“We know what you’re doing?” Zeal leans in.

I give him a dumb look. “I don’t know what you mean.” I smile. “I have never had a threesome; do you think any of these guys will be willing to help me lose my threesome virginity? I guess Clarissa will be taking my girl virginity. That is quite a few firsts. Maybe we should let all these people watch. You guys seem to find the living area a great place to have sex.” A few guys have moved closer and the trio looks like they want to tell them all to get lost.

“You’re bluffing. You’re trying to get under our skin, but it's not going to work.” Devon crosses his arms.

“You’re right. I guess nothing I can do will get to you.” I grab Clarissa’s face and plant my lips on hers. I was just going to give her a closed mouth kiss, but when her mouth opens and I feel her tongue on the bottom of my lip, I open my mouth, giving her entrance and we kiss slowly, then we pull back. When I look into her eyes, a little surprised, she gives me a wink and it takes a lot not to laugh and shake her head in amazement.

“That was hot,” a guy in the crowd says.

“I’m so glad I caught that on camera,” another says.

“Right, that’s it. The party is over. Come on, everyone. Leave.” Benjamin claps his hands. People start to disperse, with a few groaning and booing.

Clarissa and I stay where we are, and a few cards and pieces of papers get handed to us with phone numbers and names on them. I start looking through the names when I feel them being grabbed from my hands and being thrown into the air.

“I bet you thought you were so clever!” Devon stands in the middle of the other two.

“I don’t know what you mean. I was just having fun at the party you threw. And I guess I was making new friends. Being a new girl and all that, you can never have too many friends.” I bat my eyelashes and each of them rolls their eyes.

“You had to get Clarissa involved.” Zeal swipes his hand up and down her.

“I think she looks hot. Come on, if you guys knew all this was under those cardigans, you would have tried to fuck her. Look at those legs and that cleavage. And she is a good kisser.” She turns, facing me, blushing, and I blow her a kiss.

“You two stop that.” Devon groans. “I can’t think when you’re dressed and acting like that. We know you did this to get back at us for throwing a party. Just take it like a man and admit it.”

I tap Clarissa’s outer thigh, indicating for her to move, and we stand up. “Well, you did think I was a guy so, yeah, I admit it. You throw a party hoping it will be enough to scare me away. But it annoyed me and that just fueled me to retaliate. I guess the best person won.” I point to me. “Nice try, boys.” I take hold of Clarissa’s hand. “Better luck next time. I guess it’s time for me and Clarissa to get some sleep.” We walk over to my door, unlocking it, and I stop, turning around and smiling. “That is if we get any sleep.” I wink at them and we walk into my room and lock the door behind me.

My heart is hammering so hard. I can’t believe that worked.

“We won. Holy shit. Did you see how angry they looked? They didn’t like that you were getting all that attention.” She goes over to my desk and grabs a face wipe, wiping off her make-up.

“I know. Justice feels pretty good. But what about you? Damn, girl. I didn’t think you had it in you. Especially the kiss part. I hope the video gets leaked. I want to know how hot we looked.” We both laugh.

“Those guys were acting like you were the one who was in the wrong. I had to back up my best friend. Besides, now I can cross kissing a girl off my bucket list.” We laugh again.

“Yeah, I can cross that one off too.” I walk over and grab a wipe, cleaning my face too. “Thank you again for helping me out.

“No problem. Do you think that will be it now?”

I think it over and I highly doubt it. I don’t think they like losing. “If they do pull something, I will get them back. I’m no quitter.” I grab my remote, walk over to my bed, and climb under the sheets. Clarissa joins me.

We can watch the rest of the movie in peace now.”

“Here, here. Now I can watch my favorite part with no one trying to bang down my door.” I hit play and smile when the two characters kiss.

I can go to bed happy.

I wake up with the hugest smile on my face, but it falls when I sit up and see my bedroom door is missing.

  What the actual fuck?

I scream out loud, causing Clarissa to wake up. She seems confused until she looks to where I’m staring, and her mouth hangs open. I climb out of bed, heading to where my door was. I look in the living area and kitchen but it’s nowhere. It must be in one of their rooms.

I storm over to their doors and start banging on them. I keep going, even when I hear them cussing or telling me they’re coming. I keep knocking until their doors open. I barge into Zeal’s room first and look around before I walk into Devon’s and then Benjamin’s.

My door is missing. I walk into the living area and the guys are smiling when they join me. All I want to do is slap their smiles off their faces.

“Where the fuck is my door?” I shout, pointing to my door frame.

“That’s not really ladylike.” Devon smirks.

“If you smirk at me one more time, I will knee you again.” The smirk falls off his face. “Where is my fucking door?”

“We don’t know. Someone must have come in when you were sleeping and taken it.” Zeal shrugs.

“I swear I’m going to get you for this.” I go back into my room, and I hear them laughing behind me before they go back into their own rooms.

When I think they can’t get any worse, they do. I am going to make them regret this. I just need to think of something as devious. I need them out of the house first. Then I can put my plan together. I grab Clarissa’s hand, dragging her into my bathroom. I don’t want the guys to overhear.

“What are you going to do?” she whispers to me.

“I’m going to kick their asses.” I take in a deep breath. “Right, I have a plan, and you know everyone, so I’m definitely going to need your help.” I look her in the eye while I tell her what I have up my sleeve, and soon, her smile is as huge as mine.

Okay, so I’m being childish, but right now, I don’t care.

Clarissa makes some calls, and once we know we’ve got help to make this plan work, I need to make the guys think I’ve left. I don’t want to take any chances in them searching for me, so I take out my suitcases, placing myself inside, and Clarissa zips me up leaving a little gap for me to be able to get myself out later, and places me under my bed.

I pray the guys don’t stay in all day. My legs will ache otherwise, and I will cave and release myself.

Earlier, we went outside, far away from the house to make a recording of me yelling. Clarissa leaves the room, and when I hear my voice in the distance from her phone and the front door bangs shut, I know the plan has now started. I have to cover my mouth with my hand to stop me giggling.

I hear some movement and then I hear voices. I hold my breath so I can listen.

“Where did our princess go? Please don’t tell me she can’t take a joke.” Devon chuckles.

“Maybe we did go a bit far,” Benjamin says.

“She was upset and angry and said she’s going to go to her parents’ for the day to clear her head,” Clarissa says calmly. “I think you guys are pigs. I hope you’re pleased with yourselves.” With that, it goes silent, until I hear the front door slam shut again, indicating she has gone. She will be waiting until I tell her to come back.

I’m still listening in when my phone lights up. I made sure it was on silent. I don’t want anything to go wrong.

Clarissa: They bought it. Tell me when they have left x

Me: You did good. Hopefully they go soon x

I put my phone down. Already, I’m uncomfortable. I just want to stretch my limbs out. I’m letting out a little yawn when I hear movements in my room. I cover my mouth again. I can’t tell if I’m breathing loudly or not.

“I knew this wasn’t a good idea. Why did I let you talk me into it?” Zeal says.

“Oh, come on. You were up for it. It's not my fault she’s taken it to heart. We all know she can’t stay here, and we haven’t got that kind of money to give. We will pay her back what she’s owed but she has to leave as soon as possible,” Devon explains.

“Would it be that bad having her stay? I like her.” I melt a little hearing Benjamin stand up for me.

“Yeah, that’s the problem also. You know things will change if she stays. She isn’t into what we’re into. What if she starts a relationship with one of us? Do you think the other two will understand that? We’ve known each other since kindergarten. We’ve tried single relationships…” Devon’s voice softens.

“I know. I love you guys. You’re right. She has to go.” Zeal sighs.

“It's for the best. Besides, she will turn our worlds upside down if she stays. Once she gets that ass out the door permanently, everything can go back to normal,” Devon says, before I hear them leave my room.

I start to second guess myself.

I’m ready to get out of my suitcase when I hear the guys muttering and then Devon’s voice gets louder. “Right, if she doesn’t leave by the end of next week, maybe we can cover her bed with cockroaches and spiders?”

“Yeah, and let them crawl all over our house, planting eggs.” Zeal chuckles. “I don’t think so. I’m going for a run. You guys want to come?”

“It’s Saturday morning. I’d rather chew my foot off,” Devon replies. “I think I’m going to go to the gym to prowl for our next fix.”

“You won’t run, but you will work out?”

“Who said anything about working out?”

“What about you, Ben?” Zeal asks him.

“I think I’m going to go for a swim.”

“Right, I will see you all later,” Devon says, then the door slams.

“Devon is right, isn’t he?” Benjamin asks.

“I think he is. Think back to before we found out she was our roommate. I liked that she could be at least our friend, but the longer she lives here, the more complicated things could get. Devon seems to know what he’s doing, so let him do his thing.”

“Like add spiders to our house?” Benjamin laughs.

“Except that. Maybe we can shut off her water,” Zeal jokes. He’d better be joking.

After ten minutes, Benjamin leaves, and another twenty minutes later, Zeal leaves too. I slowly unzip myself and stretch out my arms and legs. All I want to do is groan out from the pleasure of it.

I crawl to my doorway and look out, making sure I heard everything right. Once I know I’m the only one left in the house, I call Clarissa, and within five minutes, she arrives with bags in her hands, with ten other people behind her with huge smiles on their faces. I guess they’re happy to help with our plan.

We start with Devon’s room first. Guys start unhinging all their doors, including the bathroom ones, then we all divide up changing their bed sheets to pink, with Barbie or Playboy covers.

I hang up pink curtains, placing soft toy puppies on each of their beds. After thirty minutes, the rooms have pink rugs, kitten toilet seats, and loofahs in the showers. Each room has had a complete makeover and I know the guys are going to hate it.

All they’re thinking about is sex. Because I won’t be in to what they’re in to. What if a guy did move in? What if he wasn’t okay with the whole thing? Would they have kicked him out? Makes no sense.

Clarissa has agreed to let the doors and the guys’ stuff stay in her dorm room until I’m ready for them to have it back. Everything is packed away. Clarissa hugs me before she leaves, telling me to call her later.

I decide to sit on the couch and watch TV. I made sure a sheet was placed down as I have seen way too much shit happen on this couch.

I’m continuing to watch Fuller House when I hear the lock turn. I keep my eyes on the screen, and when the guys walk in, they freeze when they spot me. I d
on’t say a thing. I keep my face blank.

“You’re back then?” Zeal comes towards me, but I don’t answer him.

“Still looking for your door, princess?” Devon laughs.

  Yeah, keep laughing, asshole.

They all start to head to their rooms, but stop again when they see that their doors are all missing. I turn and watch while they walk slowly to see that I’ve got them back. They all face me, and I smirk at them.

Devon runs into his room and groans. I finally let out the giggle I’ve been holding in. I take out my phone and start filming their reactions. Each guy complains, telling each other what has been done.

They all head back towards me, glaring at me, and I’m still filming them. “Do you like your new rooms? I think they’re adorable.” I smile.

“Where the fuck is my stuff?” Devon comes closer to me. “Where is my fucking door?”

“It isn’t nice, is it? I guess you now know how I feel. I have to admit, though, I have never seen so many condoms in someone’s drawer before. Just hope you have a secret stash somewhere, or you don’t mind going bareback.” I giggle. “Don’t want to catch something.” I laugh a little harder.

“Jamie, seriously, where is my stuff?” Benjamin stands at Devon’s side.

“Wow, I guess now that you said seriously, I should just tell you. Just like you told me where my door is.” I arch my eyebrow. “What is that saying?” I tap my lip with my index finger. “Oh, yeah. Payback’s a bitch.” I continue to film them.

  “Jamie,” Zeal says.

I stand up. “No,” I say sternly. “Give me back my door and I might be kind enough to start giving you your shit. Slowly.”

“We will just take your shit.” Devon glares at me.

“I’m sure your shit is more important and more expensive than mine.” I smile sweetly. “All I have is clothes and toiletries. And remember, I’m two for two. Want to see what happens if you do anything else?”
