“Yes … yes … yes…” She bucked up to meet him and her orgasm claimed her. “Ah, Seb … fuck, yes … it’s here.”
Her body jerked, her pussy spasmed. White-hot needles of bliss spread over her skin.
She grabbed his head and kissed him.
He pumped his hips frantically and found his release.
She continued to spiral into ecstasy, every touch of his body on hers sending renewed sparks of pleasure through her.
“Ah, Jesus … fucking hell…” he shouted. “Yes.”
She cried out, her climax deep and intense. She clung to him, pulling him nearer, higher, she wanted everything he could give her.
He slowed the pace, still moving over her, inside her, but becoming more gentle. “That was a true test of stamina.”
“I think you passed the test, soldier.”
“I’m glad you think so.” He raised up, locked his arms, and looked down at where they were connected.
She ran her fingertips over his tattoo, tracing the feathery shape and the words Lest We Forget.
“I don’t want to be without you,” he said. “I needed these last few weeks alone, but it’s not how I want to be anymore.”
She was silent.
He withdrew and flopped onto the bed next to her. “Some people might say our romance has been fast, or a whirlwind, but I don’t feel like that.”
“No, me neither.”
“It’s how it is for us military folk, we work hard and play hard.”
“I’d say you definitely play hard.” She ran her hand over his belly to his cock. It was still semi-erect.
He grinned. “And I’m going to be hard again in a few minutes so prepare yourself for more orgasms.”
“I can live with that.”
He leaned forward, kissed her right nipple then stood.
She admired his cute butt as he reached into the pocket of his trousers.
“Come here,” he said, turning back to her.
“What?”
“Just come here, Officer, that’s an order.”
She stood, naked, before him. “Orders now, huh?”
She thought he might smile, but he didn’t. Instead he got down on one knee and took hold of her left hand. “Jenna.”
“What … what are you doing?”
“I don’t want to be without you. I’m in love with you. Marry me.” He opened his palm and revealed a diamond ring.
Shock filled her. Marriage? To Seb?
Her heart rate picked up and a slightly giddy feeling attacked her brain.
“It’s the only way,” he said. “We’ll get married quarters, our postings will be aligned. I don’t want to be there and you here or vice versa.”
“But … now it really is a whirlwind.”
“Life is short, unpredictable. I’m not waiting around to tell you what I want, Jenna.” He paused. “And that’s you, in my life, my bed, at my side. You’re everything I’ve ever wanted in a woman and then some more.” He hovered the ring over her finger. “So please, let me put this on and know that you’ll soon become my wife.”
Shouldn’t they wait a while? Spend more time together? What would people say?
Life is short.
“Seb … I love you, so much.” She swallowed down a bubble of emotion that had tightened her throat. “And, yes, I will marry you. I don’t want to be without you.”
“Thank fuck for that.” He slipped the ring on then stood, dragging her into his arms.
She kissed him and held him close. This man, this gorgeous brave soldier, was hers and was going to be hers for all of time. How had she gotten so lucky? She’d truly found her soul mate, someone who made her feel both female and strong. He’d never ask her to compromise her job, he understood her need to work in a danger zone, to heal, to try and make a difference, because it was what he was doing with his life, too.
They were the perfect match.
