Eneria shook her head, “when the upload is complete, the commander has the option to choose which version to reactivate. And if she had started my program with an older version, I would not have remembered what had happened to Baelentus or me, and the older version of my programming would have swapped the binding disks out without question, giving Enyali full control of the vessel.”

Jerren felt a shiver course throughout Eneria’s body again, and he said, “That makes sense, I’m sorry you had to endure her though,” Jerren tightened his hold on Eneria in an attempt to show her he would protect her, “you’re completely disconnected from the ship and me at the moment. If and when you decide to use the binding disk, just let me know.”

Eneria looked at Jerren and appeared to be befuddled as she asked, “you would be alright with me not bonding with you?”

When Eneria asked Jerren that, his heart plummeted and he felt as if he were about to get sick, but Jerren answered her, “From what little I’ve witnessed, you have endured more than anyone has the right to ask of you. If you chose not to bond with me, I wouldn’t protest.”

Eneria was surprised that despite being disconnected from Jerren and the ship, she could still feel the anguish that emanated from Jerren when she asked her question, and listened to his explanation.

The fact that Jerren was willing, albeit painfully not to force her to bond with him, made her heart pound with affection for him. Eneria looked into Jerren’s eyes and said, “We can do it now.”

Jerren smiled warmly at her and she could feel the relief emanating from him. Standing Jerren helped her to her feet and escorted her to the master control room.

  *****

Eneria walked around the master control room in astonishment, looking from one wall to the other, briefly stopping at the TDS 2 and TDS 4 walls. Shaking her head forlornly, she came to rest at Jerren’s side, “How do we do this?”

Jerren had called for the console and he let out a chuckle.

“What was that about?” Eneria asked him.

“This was not on the console when I left it. I was just thinking that it didn’t surprise me that it was already cued up.” And Jerren pointed to the console.

Eneria peered down and smiled as she read:

  TDS 5

Initiate Secondary binding disk (Yes) or (No).

Jerren selected yes and the lights in the room dimmed briefly, then a moment later a new disk sat beside the console. Looking to the display, he read out:

  TDS 5

Initiate Secondary binding disk (Yes) or (No).

  Initiating Secondary binding disk.

  Apply binding disk to host.

Jerren picked the secondary binding disk up, “Okay, you need to lay down there.” Jerren gestured to a point on the floor.

Eneria did and Jerren joined her on the floor. Holding her hand, he passed the disk over to her and lay back beside her. Moments later Eneria applied the secondary binding disk and felt the disk reconnect to the ship.

Eneria knew she had blacked out but she was astounded she was conscious of it. A second later, she was startled by Jerren’s voice.

  How are you doing?

Did you pass out as well? Eneria asked in mind

Jerren laughed, Kind of, we found out by accident that the secondary bonding required us to be in contact with each other. That’s why I laid down beside you. Both Justin and Jason passed out, though Jason took a header into the floor. And the process took each of them ten minutes. There are advantages to not going first you know.

Eneria and Jerren talked a little while and as if on cue they both opened their eyes and were looking at each other. Jerren made his way to a standing position and assisted her up as well, never taking his eyes off of her. So they were both startled to hear Justin’s voice.

“Decided to elope did you?” Justin asked.

Snapping her head around, Eneria noticed they had an audience, all of whom were laughing at Justin’s remark.

Jason seemed to regain himself first and explained, “Your life monitor went wonky and we couldn’t contact you. Imagine our surprise to find you passed out in here.”

Jerren seemed to blush a bit and chuckled, then looked down at the console, and Eneria peered down and saw that the display changed to read:

  TDS 5

  Binding process successful.

  Command interface required.

Jerren looked at her and nodded to the console.

Eneria closed her eyes a moment and a second later she opened them to read,

  TDS 5

  Command interface confirmed

  Command functions TDS 5 transferred.

  Data stream optimal.

After the process was completed Jerren pulled Eneria into a tight embrace, “there you have it,” Then turning to his extended family and with a smile in place Jerren said, “I knew I was forgetting something.”

Jason shook his head in apparent amusement, then looking to Eneria he said, “Welcome to the family.”

One by one they gave their congratulations to her then went back to their ships. Once Jerren and Eneria were alone again Eneria turned toward Jerren, “I didn’t understand why they all laughed when Justin asked about us eloping, what was that about?”

Jerren let out a little laugh and explained, “Right after Calia completed the binding procedure I made the remark ‘till death do you part.” It’s an Earth marriage reference implying they were married till death. He turned the marriage remark back on me.”

Eneria laughed, “Now I understand. You all have an interesting wit amongst you.”

Eneria turned to reenter the ship and Jerren rushed up behind her.

“Not so fast,” Jerren stated as he swept Eneria off of her feet. “I need to carry you over the threshold,” and with a chuckle, they entered their ship.

  Chapter Eleven

Jerren and Eneria had entered the ship and Jerren set her on her feet. Eneria turned to face him and instantly found herself in a passionate embrace. Her body was still suffering the effects of the Ambrose, at least in the respect of increasing her desire for Jerren, not that it needed it. She had feared that Jerren would be opposed to a relationship with an AI, but after seeing how his brothers interacted with theirs, and with how Jerren stated he felt for her, she put it out of her mind.

Remembering Jerren’s instructions on how to transport within the ship Eneria closed her eyes and willed them to not only the bedroom but on the bed as well.

“What!?” Jerren exclaimed just before he burst out laughing, “You caught on to the transporting fast.”

Eneria smiled in response, and then she turned her attention to undressing Jerren. She was flummoxed by the shimmering gold bodysuit he was wearing. Frantically she looked all over but was unable to find any seams or closures. In frustration she shouted, “How do you remove this?” Eneria could feel Jerren’s exhilaration at her excitement and knew he almost laughed when she shouted.

Eneria watched as he attempted to remove the suit himself, but he too seemed at a loss for how to remove it. The suit almost looked as if it was painted on, and she could feel his frustration mounting, and he closed his eyes apparently looking for the instructions.

A few minutes later Jerren chuckled opening his eyes then said, “Like this.”

Jerren had swept his hand from his head toward his feet and the suit vanished, leaving him in all his glory. Then he swept his hand down the length of Eneria’s body, and a moment later they were both rolling around on the bed entwined skin on skin.

Eneria rolled over and she found herself straddling atop of Jerren. His erect cock was pulsing as she rubbed the heat of her along the length of him, all the while kissing and nipping at his lip and tongue. Since eating the Ambrose her body had been aching with a need she was only too aware of and she was pleased that Jerren was willing to help her through it.

With one swift motion she settled herself with him buried deep within her. She figured there would be a little pain, it being her fi
rst time and all. It was however a little more than she expected, and on an indrawn breath she froze motionless.

Jerren seemed to freeze in place as well and said, “The pain will go away.”

Eneria smiled through her grimace, “I know. I was just a little too excited and rushed.”

Jerren chuckled, “Maybe this will help.”

Jerren bent up a bit and took one of her nipples into his mouth, gently rolling it between his teeth and tongue. The feeling was delightful, and every few seconds he would apply a bit of warm moist suction, and he switched from the left breast to the right as he caressed her backside.

It took a couple of minutes for the stinging to ease completely, and Jerren’s ministrations on her breasts she knew had helped to reduce her focus on it. Before she knew it the pleasurable tingling from below was back with a vengeance and the pain once felt was relegated to the back of her mind. As Eneria began moving, he matched her so their pleasure points would collide with every stroke. She could feel the heady euphoria from the Ambrose building stronger as their caressing, rubbing and kissing intensified, and her body began quivering in spasms of pleasure.

Jerren smiled and rolled Eneria onto her back, settling his hands just above her shoulders; he bent down and nibbled on her earlobe. It sent tingling down her spine, and she closed her eyes taking in the pleasure of it all. Working from the side of her neck he made his way back to her mouth.

Jerren’s tongue glided against her lips and she opened her mouth, and Jerren’s tongue delved into and flicked her tongue. A moment later Eneria’s tongue began dueling with his then he arched up and began his methodical and very sensual possession of her body.

Jerren’s hips resumed their gyrating, thrusting, and grinding against her, and she could feel her pleasure rising with his every movement. Stroke by stroke she felt his cock grow harder, then with what could only be described as a shattering of glass; Eneria felt a great release and cried out in pleasure as she scratched Jerren’s back, and a second later she felt a rush of emotions as his essence exploded deep inside of her.

Jerren took in a gasp of air then he lowered his lips to hers and kissed her softly.

Eneria was still quivering and gasping from the pleasurable rush and it took a good minute to gain her voice, “That was exhilarating,” She said as she continued to run her hands along Jerren’s back, “Did my scratching hurt you?”

Jerren seemed to catch his breath enough to say, “That was intense, and no you didn’t hurt me,” He rolled to his side to face her and said, “Best laid plans.”

“What do you mean by that?” Eneria asked.

Jerren let out a chuckle and said, “I wanted to take it slow, I figured it would be your first time, and I didn’t want to hurt you,” Then he ran his hand along her abdomen.

Goose flesh rose at his touch and Eneria smiled, “You did not hurt me. I was just in a rush. If what I know is correct, that was the worst of it.”

Jerren nodded, “Yes, it can be a little painful if we were to do it again before you’re fully healed, but the worst of it is behind you now. There were some things I was going to do to help, but like I said, best laid plans,” Jerren smiled.

Eneria considered how her body felt before, during and now, then said, “I do not feel any pain, actually I did not feel pain shortly after it happened. I would wager that the combination of the Ambrose along with the chlorophyll in my system has already healed me, it is one of the effects of the chlorophyll and also a rumored effect of the Ambrose.”

Smiling back at Jerren, Eneria reached up and caressed his cheek, “so, what did you do before you were embroiled in all of this? I only knew the basics about your family; Enyali was more concerned with eliminating all of you than any of your history.”

  *****

Jerren smiled and told Eneria, “My brothers and I joined the military at the same time. Originally I joined with the intent of being in the military police, but soon after getting out of basic training I saw a flyer for Pararescuemen, and I was accepted into the program.”

Jerren explained the basics of what he had done, and that he was trained in weapons and combat tactics as well as being a medic, then what he had to do to rescue Jason when he was captured. “Well soon after my team rescued Jason, he had been medically discharged from the service, and a couple of years later Justin’s stint was up and from what I recently found out he had no desire to stay in the military. I had put in the original six-year enlistment, but I re-enlisted for another six-year term…”

Eneria looked aghast through his explanation of what he did and once he stopped speaking she asked, “Let me get this straight, you would jump out of aircraft and plummet to the ground?”

Jerren couldn’t hold it back, he let out a laugh and said, “I wouldn’t call it plummeting but yes, I did jump out of planes. My second enlistment was up a couple of years ago, and since I’ve been out I’ve worked in private security with some people I met while I was serving in the military. But it didn’t suit me.” Jerren could see Eneria wanted to know why and he said, “The pay was very good, but I was asked to do a job I found morally unconscionable, and I decided to distance myself from that element, so I took a little time off to find another career path.

“I debated about going back to the military and putting in the time to retire from the service, or starting my own skydiving school, seeing as how I am a certified instructor, but I just decided to become a smoke jumper instead, then all of this happened,” Jerren saw Eneria’s confusion and explained, “A smoke jumper is a firefighter who parachutes from a plane or repels from a helicopter into a hot zone to extinguish fires.”

“That sounds very dangerous, were you trying to kill yourself?” Eneria asked with obvious concern.

Jerren smirked, “You will probably get along with Calia splendidly. She didn’t like the idea of Justin jumping either. And to answer your question, no, I wasn’t trying to kill myself. I just really love skydiving, well the free fall most of all. There’s nothing I’ve found that’s quite like it, it feels as if you’re flying like a bird.”

Eneria smiled warmly at Jerren and said, “I can feel how much you enjoy it. It still sounds extremely dangerous though.”

Jerren nodded and told Eneria the same thing he told Calia, “It can be dangerous, but it hasn’t killed me yet.”

Eneria shook her head in apparent astonishment and said, “Well I cannot think of a reason you will ever have to do that again. Now that I have a body that can take mortal damage, it is making me consider wearing a padded suit. Just look at that rough pounding you gave me a minute ago, it almost felt like you shattered me,” Eneria ended with a laugh and a smile.

Jerren could feel that Eneria was playing with him and he replied, “Oh I’m so sorry, I will never do that again then.”

“Yes you will!” Eneria barked with laughter. “As a matter of fact, you need to do it right now,” Eneria said then she nibbled her lower lip in apparent anticipation.

Jerren argued that it was still too soon, but Eneria wouldn’t relent, so smiling he stated, “I will agree, but only if you do exactly as I say.”

Eneria looked at him quizzically, “and what would that be?” she asked.

Jerren rolled her to her back and extended her arms above her head, and then he said, “You need to remain just like this. Don’t move a muscle until I say so. If my calculations are right, the effects of the Ambrose will last at least another three to four hours, and I plan on pleasuring you until either you or I pass out.”

Eneria giggled and taunted Jerren by saying, “Prove it.”

It took a while, but Jerren did indeed prove it. Their pleasure had built so intensely with their new neural connection, that when Eneria found her release Jerren was pulled into it as well. The heady euphoria he had felt from eating the Ambrose was nothing compared to it, and they cried out in pleasure as they lost their bid for consciousness.

  Chapter Twelve

Eneria woke with a smile affixed. She had
never fallen asleep before, well to be perfectly honest with herself she had passed out, but she did wake from a slumber. She was not quite sure of the protocol after what they had just shared, but she thought, There is no way I am going to follow Enyali’s example though. She was a sick and twisted person.

Justin yawned and asked, “What example?”

Eneria was startled out of her thoughts, “Oh… you heard that?”

Jerren nodded and reached over and caressed Eneria’s arm and she explained, “I was just wondering what the protocol is now? Enyali is not a good example to follow.”

That statement seemed to draw Jerren’s full attention, “What did she do?” he asked.

“Without going into gruesome details, all I will say is she was like the black widow spider on Earth,” Eneria said with a shudder.

Jerren frowned, “You’re right, Enyali is a very bad example to follow. As for how we proceed, it’s up to you. I know you’ll need to sleep now, where you didn’t have to before. So if you would like it, you could share this room with me, or we can set up a room for you on the second level.”

Eneria thought about it a moment, “What would you prefer?”

Jerren let out a booming laugh that seemed to fill the room, and then he said, “That’s a loaded question. I would love to share the room with you, but if you would prefer the solitude of your own room I’ll have no problem with that.”

Eneria smiled, moved closer and kissed Jerren on the cheek, “I will stay in here with you then.”

“That’s wonderful,” Jerren stood up and gestured for Eneria to follow him, “I think it’s time to clean up and get ready for our day.”

Jerren led Eneria into the Ion shower and a moment later they were clean as could be.

Eneria looked down at her body, “It looks as if I need to find a wardrobe.”

Jerren closed his eyes a moment in apparent concentration, then he waved his hands up his body and his shimmering gold bodysuit was back in place. He looked at Eneria a second then waved his hand up her body and she too was enshrouded with the same shimmering gold bodysuit.
