Fight 4 Us (Book 4): Conquered Page 17

by Grenda, Brian

“I like this one. The precision of the scope is nice to have,” says a Warrior to Jeremy.

“That is a good gun, Ricky. I like this one though. It has more bullet capacity,” says Jeremy.

William says, “Both are fine weapons, get familiar with them as these guns will help us remain safe in this world.”

I walk over to William, Jeremy, and Ricky.

“Hey guys. How we doing today?”

“Very well Ryan. Hello Lauren. How are you today?” asks William.

“I just got beat up by Bruce for a couple of hours, but other than that, I am doing good.”

Jeremy and Ricky take their guns to the shooting targets.

“Bruce is a formidable opponent and great teacher. I trust he taught you well,” says William.

The sound of gunfire goes off as Jeremy and Ricky shoot at the targets.

Suddenly a loud boom goes off in the distance.

  BOOM!

William looks at Jeremy and Ricky, but the loud noise didn’t come from them.

The sound seemed like a loud explosion that came from the West, far away from the school though.

William, Lauren, and I exit the courtyard and go into the school parking lot.

A large line of smoke is seen in the distance.

“Oh my god. That’s about where Citrus Oaks is!”

Lauren looks at me with a concerned look.

“We need to get back home. I have a bad feeling about that explosion!”

Lauren and I run back into our room to get our belongings.

As I’m packing up my gear, clothes and weapons, William knocks on the door.

  KNOCK! KNOCK!

William walks into the room and says, “Ryan. I have a gift for you. Well two gifts. The first one is that we are coming with you back to Citrus Oaks.”

“You don’t have to do that William.”

William replies, “Actually I do. My people are living there now too. I need to help protect them.”

Before I can respond, Bruce walks into the room carrying a suit of Japanese Samurai armor.

I’m taken back by the beauty of the red and black armor.

Lauren finishes packing up her bags and says, “I’ll be in the SUV. Bye guys.”

Bruce says, “Looks like we are going to battle Ryan and you need armor for this.”

I point to the military body armor chest plate and say, “The Samurai armor is beautiful, but it won’t stop a bullet. I need to wear the body armor on my chest though.”

Bruce looks at the armor and says, “We can fit the body armor with the Samurai armor.”

William says, “My men are getting ready to make their way to Citrus Oaks now. Let’s let them go in first and then we can be the second line of attack.”

I pick up the body armor chest plate and say, “Let’s make this body armor custom fit with the Samurai armor, before we head back home.”

I try on the Samurai armor and Bruce comes up with a plan for altering the armor to have the chest plate fit in nicely.

“Looks good Ryan. I can have Li alter this armor very quickly. We can leave for Citrus Oaks in a couple of minutes,” says Bruce.

William excuses himself from the room and plans to meet me and Bruce outside by the vehicles.

I load up my bags and weapons into the back of my SUV and wait for William and Bruce to come to their vehicles.

Lauren walks over to me and asks, “What are you wearing?”

“It’s Samurai armor. Well half of it, Li and Bruce are connecting the body armor chest plate that I got from MacDill to the armor. So, I will be protected with the bulletproof chest plate and the Samurai armor.”

“Samu-Ry huh? I kind of like that,” jokes Lauren.

William and Bruce make their way over to Lauren and me.

Bruce hands me the top half of the armor and I try it on.

As I slide the armor on and adjust the fit, I must say that I feel kind of invincible with the body armor on.

Jeremy and Ricky come running over to William.

“What car are we taking?” asks Jeremy.

William says, “Excuse me Jeremy? We?”

“Yeah. Rick and I are coming with you. You can’t do this alone,” says Jeremy.

I get into my SUV and close the door. Lauren hops in and we wait a couple of seconds for William and Bruce.

“I’m not sure you coming is the best idea Jeremy,” says William.

Tran walks out of the door and over to Bruce.

“Take the black supercharged sports car over there. It’s got a full tank of gas and really moves,” says Tran as he gives the car keys to Bruce.

  BOOM!

Another explosion goes off in the same direction and distance of the first one.

“We really need to go guys!”

Bruce runs over to the black sports car, followed by Jeremy and Ricky.

William shouts, “I guess we are all going now!”

William gets into the black sports car and Bruce starts up the engine.

I drive through the open gate of the high school and Bruce follows behind me.

I can’t help but to be nervous about Citrus Oaks and the safety of everyone back home.

  BOOM!

A Conqueror blows up the South entrance gate and walls with a rocket launcher.

TJ and Janet drive away from Joseph and The Conquerors and park their vehicles at a house in the neighborhood across the street from the South entrance of Citrus Oaks.

TJ looks at Odin and says, “I need you to be quiet boy. Stealth mode.”

TJ and Odin exit TJ’s jeep and meet Janet at the back of TJ’s jeep.

Janet is holding a pair of binoculars and a rifle.

TJ opens the rear hatch of his jeep and takes out his own high-powered rifle with precession scope. TJ finds the silencer for his rifle and attaches it to the gun barrel.

Janet and TJ decide to go into the house that they parked in front of. The house gives a perfect line of sight into Citrus Oaks.

TJ kicks down the front door. Odin and Janet go into the house and secure the first floor.

TJ says, “We need to get a good view into the neighborhood. Let’s find a better view from the second floor.”

TJ runs up the stairs into a bedroom.

There is a zombie standing in the corner of the room as TJ enters.

TJ takes aim with his rifle and puts a bullet into the frontal lobe of the zombies’ head.

TJ walks over to a window that will face the South entrance of Citrus Oaks.

TJ opens the blinds, slides open the window and screen, then takes aim at the South entrance of Citrus Oaks.

Janet and Odin come into the bedroom.

TJ can barely see through the smoke that was made by the rocket launcher explosion.

“Man, they really did a number on the South entrance. It’s destroyed and the lookout platforms are gone. I hope no one was on there,” says TJ.

Janet looks through her binoculars and sees The Conquerors are going into homes, fighting with people, and causing chaos.

  BOOM!

The Conquerors just blew up the house next to Chris old house in the cul-de-sac.

“Oh my god. They just blew up someone’s house. These people are ruthless,” says Janet.

Joseph exits the driver side door of the red truck he was driving.

He lifts a medication pill bottle to his mouth and swallows the last two of his pain pills. He throws the empty pill bottle on the ground and walks to the back of his truck and opens the truck bed.

Joseph reaches into the truck bed and picks up a huge broadsword.

Screams, smoke, and gunfire fill the air.

The house The Conquerors blew up is on fire.

The South entrance is wide open now. The gate, several rows of cinder blocks, and the lookout platforms have been destroyed.

Joseph raises his sword and shouts, “Kill them all!”

TJ takes aims at several Conquerors and kills them with head sh
ots.

Janet moves next to TJ and takes aim with her rifle.

Odin hears the gunshots and whimpers in the corner of the room.

Joseph walks down the center of the street into the cul-de-sac where his men blew up the house.

Justin kills a male Conqueror with a gunshot to his chest and then takes aim at Joseph as he walks towards him.

  CLICK!

  CLICK!

Justin is out of bullets with his gun. He drops his gun and points his spear at Joseph.

Joseph starts to laugh and shouts, “What are you going to do with that pig sticker!”

Justin runs towards Joseph and stabs the spear towards Joseph’s chest.

The spear does not penetrate Joseph’s skin though.

Joseph is wearing a body armor chest plate.

Joseph laughs and says, “Nice try China man!”

Joseph swings his huge broadsword over his head and down towards Justin’s skull.

Justin tries to block the sword with his spear.

Joseph’s sword easily slices through the spear and cuts Justin in half.

Justin’s body falls to the street in two pieces.

Janet sees the whole thing through the scope of her rifle.

Janet screams in terror and can’t believe what she just saw.

  Janet starts firing at Joseph.

  BANG! BANG!

  BANG! BANG!

The bullets hit his body armor and knock Joseph to the ground.

The Conquerors notice where the gunfire came from and take aim at the house.

TJ notices them taking aim at the house and grabs Janet.

As TJ exits the room, he shouts, “Come on Odin!”

Odin, Janet and TJ, rush out of the bedroom and into the hallway.

  BOOM!

The second-floor bedroom of the house that TJ, Janet, and Odin were in explodes.

Thick smoke and flames fill the air.

The second floor of the house is on fire.

The Conquerors run over to Joseph to see if he is still alive.

Joseph let’s out a big groan and starts to stand up.

Two of the Conquerors help Joseph stand up.

“Did you get that bastard that was shooting at me?” asks Joseph.

“Yes sir. We shot a rocket up their ass into the house,” says the Conqueror who destroyed the second-floor bedroom of the house.

“Good. Good work. Let’s kill the rest of these people and take what’s ours,” says Joseph.

Joseph picks up his sword and shouts, “Guess who’s back bitches! Where is Ryan at? I want to chop his head off and feed it to my dogs!”
