Salvadora (The Last Salvadoras #1) Page 3

by Natalie Bennett

Olivia was also very much older than she was and she knew had known Reyes a very long time. The women his brothers had been with were her friends and one was her sister. She was quiet on the way back to her house. That’s what came up? She shook her head. They got back to her house and all went in. Tracy and Troy she decided could just crash here. Alex went to his room and she went to hers after getting Tracy and Troy blankets. She had just changed into terry cloth sleep shorts and a tank top when she heard a knock on her door. Shadow, who was on his custom made pillow lifted an ear but didn’t move.

She laughed at him and pulled open the door to see Troy standing there. “I don’t wanna wait any longer.” He rushed out. He smashed his lips on hers. She shoved him, harder than she meant to and he skidded down the hall landing on his ass. Shadow was up in a flash his head low and growling at him. Alex flung his door open and burst into laughter as did Tracy from below. “What the hell Troy?!” She yelled. “I thought, I thought you were just using him to pass time, because you’re shy. I thought you felt the same.” He was bright red; Alex was pelt over laughing now. “I’m gonna go, I’m sorry.” He walked down the hallway looking ashamed.

She groaned, she just wanted to go to bed. “Troy wait!” She jogged down the hall Shadow by her side to catch him. “Shut up Alex.” She growled on the way passed. He was already outside. “You don’t have to go, its okay.” She smiled. It was actually not that okay but she wasn’t going to lose her friend over his bad signal reading. “Are you sure? I feel like an idiot.” She laughed. “You should feel like an idiot, but I’m sure, let’s just forget it.” He smiled sheepishly. “I’m sorry Widow, Hug?” She knew he was sincere, “Sure.” She hugged him back and was still hugging him when she felt him and heard his voice “What exactly is this?”

Tracy and Alex were watching from the doorway not as indiscreetly as they were trying to be, Shadow was sitting on the walkway watching as well. She turned to look at Reyes. Reyes was mouthwateringly, deliciously sexy. He like all his brothers stood at what she estimated to be six-two, his hair was black as coal and healthy and always slick backed, also like his brothers, they had the tan sun kissed skin, and no facial hair just smooth perfectly proportioned flawless faces. Reyes had tiger orange eyes, Khaos had marigold, Hades had amber and Storm had indigo. They were all perfect walls of hard firm muscle.

His eyes were usually bright but right now they were a little darker, she reckoned he was mad, that made two of them. Troy hadn’t let her go and looked from her to Reyes. “He has less than one minute to get his hands off you.” His voice which was always like smooth seduction dripping with masculinity was dark and low right now. She went to pull away but Troy still in idiot mode didn’t let her go. “She doesn’t have to listen to someone like you.” She didn’t even see Reyes move he pulled her out of Troy’s arms and pinned him to the truck by his throat. “Someone like me?” He asked his voice still dark. “Reyes, stop!” She grabbed his arm and tugged on it. Troy gasped letting her know just how hard he was squeezing. “I could snap your neck, I’ve never liked you, and you’re pathetic.” “Reyes, let him go!” She yelled and shoved against him. She was embarrassed when he didn’t even budge.

He glanced at her and let a sputtering Troy go that had imprints around his neck fading as he healed. “Troy, go inside okay.” She said helping him off the ground. He glared at Reyes but nodded and went into the house, her iron screen door slamming behind him. She whirled on Reyes where he stood looking calm and collected. She hated his poker face; it never slipped not even when he just had Troy by his throat. He stood looking as sexy as ever in an immaculate black suit. His eyes were still dark and looked even darker than they already had. “What is wrong with you?” She asked him. “I came to see you and find you in his arms; would you like to explain that?” She scoffed and put her hands on her hips “Would you like to explain why you were that thing? Nice bar by the way.” She said sarcastically. He grinned showing his perfect white teeth and retracted fangs.

“Little fae, are you jealous?” Now she laughed. “You’re giving yourself toomuch credit, are you jealous? I didn’t grab her by her throat.” When she thought about it that wasn’t a half bad idea. “I don’t get jealous; I don’t like someone touching what’s mine.” She glared at him now. “I am not yours Reyes.” He stepped closer now. “Do I know you? Did I know you?” She asked him finally. When he didn’t immediately respond she knew she did. They had actually been together, the dreams were actual recollections. “I can’t tell you about your past Widow, you need to remember.” She couldn’t even explain how she felt at this very moment. “Why can’t you?” She looked at him as he still remained impassive. “It won’t do you any good, I assure you, and you are mine.” He was impossible.

“You need to go away, and stay away from me.” She turned away to go back in her house to go process all of this. She always kind of figured Reyes was with her, but why wouldn’t he tell her anything? She was suddenly lifted in the air and scooped up. “What are you doing?! Put me down!” She wriggled but he had a firm grip on her. He walked her into the house where Alex and Tracy ran out of the entry like they hadn’t been watching the whole time. Reyes carried her to her dark bedroom and didn’t bother shutting the door. He sat her down on the edge of her bed and he stood above her. “Go away? Little fae I will never let you go again.” He sounded pissed. “You have been mine ever since I laid my eyes on your beautiful face.”

He gently cupped her face in his hands. “I know you’re upset, you want answers, and you will have them.” She couldn’t do this with him touching her.

She stood now which actually worsened the position because she was now pressed against him. “I will tell you a reaper killed you.” He said lowly. She almost had a heart attack right then. “What is it?” He asked tilting her chin to look him in the eyes. “I don’t know yet.” Not a full lie. “What happened to it?” She asked instead. “It went away.” He said it darkly. He kissed her then, not a soft gentle kiss, a hard possessive kiss. This was always a thing with them; she kissed him back like they hadn’t just been semi arguing over some kind of important information. “I have been waiting on you, a very long time.” He pulled away to say. When he looked in her eyes it was as if he was looking into her soul. She pressed her head to his chest and held him close. Why did he make her feel so sure, so comfortable?

She lifted her head to kiss him again. He pulled away again but this time he pushed the door shut plunging the room into further darkness, as her eyes adjusted he already had his whole upper body bare. He came closer so she could touch him and she ran her palms over his perfect chiseled body. He tugged her shirt over her head and quickly unclasped her bra and tossing it to the floor. He pressed them together and her bare chest now was smashed against his. He kissed her hard his tongue exploring her mouth. He pushed her so she was on her back and tugged her shorts and panties off in one motion, not a minute later he stood completely naked.

She loved his body; her mouth went dry at the sight of him. She was already wet and ready but that didn’t stop him from kissing his way up from her ankle. He kissed her Salvadora S mark that was on her left lower hip intertwined with a henna-esc flower design she was born with. He kissed his way down the swirl of the flower where it ended right above her core. He sucked her clit in his mouth and she moaned low and quiet. He began moving his tongue up and down on her causing her to moan louder, after a few minutes and she was almost begging for him he moved up her body and roughly kissed her. “You have no idea how beautiful you are.” He murmured huskily.

She smiled at him glad the room was dark even though she knew he had to have some amazing eyesight compared to hers. She felt him at her entrance and he shoved her legs further apart. “I’m going to fuck you until your screaming your mine.” He shoved in and as she cried out he hissed in sharply. He didn’t give her time to adjust. She couldn’t hold back the moans falling from her mouth. “You’re so perfect.” He growled. “You’ve always been perfe
ct.” He grunted. She dug into his back her back arching as he hit every spot. He was so big she still wasn’t used to this. He leaned in lower and she knew what he wanted. She suckled on his neck before letting her fangs extend she bit down and moaned as he thrust harder.

Reyes tasted like the finest delicacy in the world. She drank him in greedily before letting him go, as soon as she did he swooped in and bit her own neck. “Reyes…!” She cried out. He thrust harder, “Say it.” He growled out. She refused. “Say it.” She didn’t know how it was possible he went harder the bed sounded like it was about to fly through the wall. “I’m yours.” She yelled out as he bit her again. She had no idea when they finished but she knew she spiraled into a deep sleep.

  CHAPTER FOUR

  ***********************************************

She was exhausted; they had drug four bodies down to the pit and buried them. She stepped out of the tub and wrapped herself in her long floor length robe; the bedroom was dark besides a candle burning. She knew it was there, she ignored it. The sadness was over whelming sometimes. She missed him so much, she had never felt so broken or so lost and she didn’t realize she lived for him, breathed for him until now and now he was gone. She felt the tears roll down her face and the fucking monster stepped from the shadows and wiped her tears.

  ***********************************************

She woke up and it was still dark in the room. She shifted and felt a hard body beside her. She looked up and at Reyes who was still here and right beside her. His fiery eyes met hers and he stroked her cheek. “You looked peaceful.” He mumbled. That dream was not peaceful, she had felt the old hers sadness like she was losing her grip and just wanted to die kind of sadness. She laid her head on his hard chest and he pulled her into him. “I think you should consider moving in with me.” That woke her all the way up. “I just moved here, and were not even a real..” She adjusted and looked up at him from on her stomach. “Couple, yes we are, I planned on letting that be known at the Endless ball in four weeks publicly, and I don’t care who knows before then.” She just looked at him. This is what she had wanted kind of. “Tell me what you want.” He flipped her onto her back and looked down at her. “I can’t.” She sighed.

It wasn’t just the fact she didn’t expect Reyes to be loyal to her he had no idea about her Cimmerian issues. “I will be devoted to your every need little fae.” She wanted to scream in frustration yet, if anyone got dark it was Reyes and as she looked into his eyes she could sense his so strong just lurking behind his eyes and she loathed him for how he dealt with it with such ease. “I don’t really get fuzzy feelings picturing your bed, or any other surface of your home.” She said it sarcastic but she meant it. “Then well remodel it however you want, or we can get a penthouse until we fuse.”

Whoa, that was the first time he said that at all. “We can talk later; I need to be inside you.” He nudged her legs apart, she would rather talk but she wasn’t turning this down. “You’re so responsive to me.” He grinned down at her. She was already ready for him. He pushed his way in and made a low sound in his throat. He went leisurely this time consistent easy thrust. Reyes could go for hours or he would finish and be ready again the next minute. She was moaning low and holding him tight. “I will never let you go.” He said in her ear and finished shortly after with rapid thrust that had her saying his name over and over like a chant.

She was woken by Reyes directly a few hours later, or it felt like hours later and there was sunlight coming in from outside. “I have to go; I’m taking you to dinner tonight so I’ll pick you up at seven thirty.” He kissed her forehead and then placed a soft parting kiss on her lips. She laid there half asleep for maybe ten minutes before getting into gear.

After she got ready for the day and dressed simple figuring she could just change before Reyes came back she threw on a pair of denim shorts, a white tank, a light navy zip up hoodie and navy tennis shoes. She went down to the kitchen and Alex leaned against the fridge with a smirk on his face. Troy had gone home but Tracy remained. “Troy thought you were shy huh?” Alex grinned. “Based off the sounds me and dear Tracy heard all night and morning I have to disagree.” She felt herself blush “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She laughed. “Poor, poor Shadow.” Tracy faked sadness. She laughed again and shook her head

“So, what are we doing today?” Tracy asked. “Chelsea text saying she found some stuff out, so meeting her at Pat’s.” Pat’s was a cute modern diner they frequented. Tracy showered in the guest bathroom and changed into clothes she had there.

She let Alex drive and they all rode together to Pat’s, they went in and went straight to a back booth where Chelsea and her sister’s already sat. “What do you know?” She asked after ordering a Fae Slam and a frappe. “I think you guys have a major problem.” She studied her friends face and could feel the distress signals.

“Reyes, told me I was killed by one of these things.” She said quietly. “So were we, Kas told me last night.” Scarlett said. “Reapers are dead.” Chelsea spit out. They all looked at her. “You mean what we saw were ghost?” Jenna raised her brows and bit into a piece of toast. “No, reapers were the top breed of vampire before any other kind; a group got stronger and took out the rest of their kind to get them out of the way. I meant that when a very strong vampire used to die they could unlock some part of them and change to a reaper, that’s why they have pale skin and red eyes, they were said to be made up because no one’s seen a reaper in hundreds of years, vampires aren’t strong enough to change into them anymore.”

She remembered the reaper that had wiped her tears in her dream. “You said we have a problem?” She cut up her pancakes that were now in front of her. “Yeah, they’re going to hunt you.” Chelsea said. “They had to of known you were in this state, city whatever to come here; I think they’re going to use two of you as anchors.” They all just looked at her. “Anchors meaning?” Clover asked. “They want to manifest back to life, they’ll need power, power you guys are said to have. They can’t kill you right away though; they need you probably six months or so to finish the change back to them.” She was in her historian mode clearly. “How does this happen?” She asked now. “Um…fusion.” Chelsea said.

She just gawked at her. They all did, the only way to fuse was sex, it could be forced but that was the essential of raping the mind and body. The damage was said to be irreparable to who it was forced upon. She could not imagine that thing having a stake in her legion and the power to make choices freely. “What do we do?” Scarlett asked. “You can’t kill it on your own, there’s said to be a chest of alchemist daggers that can only be used once and straight to their hearts to kill them.” Piece of cake, yeah, no it wasn’t.

“Well, do you know where these daggers are said to be?” Alex asked speaking up. Chelsea shook her head no. “I’m working on it. I have a theory you’re not going to like.” They stared waiting for her to go. “I think they killed you because you weren’t strong enough back then for them to use as anchors, they probably went down two at a time and…I think they’re who brought you back.” She rushed this all out. “Why wouldn’t they just use someone else then?” Jenna asked.

“Hello? You guys are freak of nature hybrids, you were crazy strong back then, no one is coming close on the power scale spectrum plus you guys are like sexy kick ass sirens, who else but you?” She smiled shyly “No offense at the freak thing.” She laughed, none was taken. “So, we have super strong beautiful demons that want to use our bodies for their gain, sounds like every other fuck boy.” Scarlett said shaking her head. Her phone buzzed and she looked down at a text from Reyes. -If your friends aren’t busy invite them to dinner, I will make amends with the Boy Scout as well.- She sighed, Reyes didn’t apologize he was up to something. She asked him what he was up to. He quickly responded nothing stop thinking so low of
him. He probably laughed after he sent it she knew it was sarcasm.

That’s how they all ended up in a hummer limo on its way to Reyes house he shared with his brothers. They were all here, Troy hadn’t wanted to come at first but changed his mind when he found out everyone else was. Reyes said they could leave in the morning and had the guest rooms set up for them. She wondered what they were up to. She was in a black criss-cross dress that tied around her neck and paired it with sexy black heels; Scarlett had gone that route as well and was in a mesh skater dress and black heels. Jenna had on a Lucy Lace cocktail dress and Clover had chosen a sexy navy cocktail dress.

She looked out the window as she noticed larger newly developed houses; the scenery started to change from nice expensive homes to a long bare back road and then another with tall trees all around them. Twenty minutes after going down one of these roads a fence started. It was tan brick and black iron. It went on and on and then a dark lake came into view alongside it. The limo pulled into a driveway that had two heavy iron gates that were open at the present moment.
