Messiah didn’t have to say a word in return. They knew He loved them. It was as though liquid love flowed out from Him, overwhelming all who were near. His presence was transforming every single person who bowed to worship Him.
Monte brushed the tears from his eyes, finally daring to look upward into his Messiah’s face. Messiah’s eyes met his and, at that moment, Monte’s Messiah reached His hand out to him. Something about the gesture temporarily distracted Monte. It was the hands. There were scars in His hands.
Monte spoke before he realized what he was doing. “Messiah, where did You get these wounds?” Even as he asked the question, Monte knew what the answer would be.
“I received these in the house of My friends.” The reply was without bitterness or hatred—just a simple statement.
Then Monte understood everything. Now it all made sense. “So You’re Jesus?” he inquired.
“I’m Jesus,” came the affirmative reply.
“O Messiah, we have been so blind! We have been so stubborn! O Messiah, could You ever forgive us?” By now Monte was weeping uncontrollably. But even in his repentance he felt the love emanating from Jesus. Jesus took him by the arm, raising him to his feet. Monte couldn’t explain it, but he knew beyond all doubt that he was forgiven totally and completely.
And one shall say unto Him, What are these wounds in Thine hands? Then He shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of My friends. Zechariah 13:6

As the crowd chanted, “Arachev, Messiah. Arachev, Messiah,” Moshe looked on in amazement. His emotions exploded into shocking horror when Pope Peter II swept his white robed arm toward Arachev, “The world’s long-awaited Messiah. Receive him!”
Louder than ever, the chant resumed, “Arachev, Messiah. Arachev, Messiah. Pope Peter II is his prophet. Pope Peter II is Elijah!” The crowd began to clap in rhythm as they chanted. Soon thousands of people were chanting, clapping, and stomping their feet. The rising crescendo of the chant was utterly enthralling. The scene was captivatingly euphoric as it engulfed the crowd, sucking almost every person on the Temple Mount into its vibrating vortex.
Moshe looked on in stunned fascination and horror. “Is there any truth to these incredible revelations? Surely not! But where will all this lead?” Moshe had lived long enough to recognize the birth of a mass movement. He also was certain that the day’s developments were not as spontaneous as they appeared. This entire charade had certainly been orchestrated. How masterful the manipulation had been!
Where would all this lead? As Moshe pondered the day’s events, searching in his mind for answers, one thing became obvious to him. The world was being led by a well-thought-out plan. The forces sweeping the world into the arms of Michael Arachev were not a spontaneous phenomenon.
But what was the plan? He must understand what was going on if he was to resist the force of this global movement and warn others. But how could he? It was all so confusing!
A thought was slowly emerging in his mind as to where he might find his answers. He needed to learn about Michael Arachev. The man was a master manipulator. If he could understand the power that had shaped the man, then he would understand the plan.
