I was staring at him, having barely heard past the first line. “You love me?”
He nodded. “With every inch of my being.”
I grabbed him and kissed him, practically climbing on top of him in my happiness. “I love you, too, Roman. I know it sounds crazy, but I do.”
“Then we love each other, and everything is good.”
I thought of something. “But what about the whole vampire thing? I’m going to age while you stay the same.”
He studied my face. “Do you want to become a vampire? I’m not going to pretend I don’t love having you warm and soft, and being able to feed from you turns me on more than anything else in the world, but if it’s what you really want, I can turn you.”
I chewed my lower lip. “I don’t know what I want yet. So much has happened in the last couple of weeks, I feel like I can barely think straight.”
He laced his fingers with mine. “You don’t have to decide tonight, Dakota. You don’t have to decide for years to come. I’m a vampire, and you can be, too, if that’s what you want, and then we’ll have forever.”
“Forever.” I smiled, placing my lips to his.
Forever with Roman Kramar sounded damn good to me.

About the Author
Marissa Farrar is a multi-published romance, fantasy, and horror author. She was born in Devon, England, has travelled all over the world, and has lived in both Australia and Spain. She now resides in the countryside with her husband, three young children, a crazy Spanish dog, and two rescue cats. Despite returning to England, she daydreams of one day being able to split her time between her home country and the balmy, white sandy beaches of Spain.
Even though she’s been writing stories since she was small and held dreams of being a writer, her initial life plan went a different way.
In her youth, inspired by James Herriot, she decided to become a vet, and would regularly bring home new pets to her weary parents. Upon discovering her exams were never going to get her into a veterinary degree, she ended up studying Zoology. Once she completed her degree and realised she’d spent the majority trying to find time to write, she decided to follow her dream of being an author. Seven years later, she was published and two years after that she was able to say goodbye to the day job.
However, she’s continued to collect animals!
Marissa is the author of over twenty novels, including the dark vampire ‘Serenity’ series.
