Postcards
I've read your postcards
And the letters that you sent me
One day in the summer of last year
I really hope
Your feeling special
Really hope you're doing fine
I really hoped
That we would never part
But your first touch
Was like the sunshine
Staring out against the clouds
Covering me with warmth everyday
And your first kiss
Was like the sunset
Moonlit glow against the tides
Shimmering and radiant
A vibrant glow so decadent
I have your lipstick
On the dresser where you left it
One night in the winter of last year
I really hope
You'd come back for it
Really hoped, you would stop by
One step closer to recovery
Break Up
I don't know if I'll ever wake up
But I'm dying to see, I'm dying to see
I don't think I can stand this breakup
But I'm dying to see, I'm dying to see
But the look on your face is like so
You're ready to go, you're ready to go
And I'm trying all I can
To be a better man, to be a better person
But these things inside can't cure
And I'm trying to get by
In the blink of an eye, the blink of an eye
I don't know if we'll ever get back
To the way it should be, the way it should be
And I don't think we can shake a make up
But I'm dying to see, I'm dying to see
But the look on your face was like so
You're ready to go, you're ready to go
And I'm trying all I can
To be a better man, to be a better person
But these things inside can't cure
And I'm trying to get by
In the blink of an eye, the blink of an eye
The blink of an eye
Time Flies By
Time is going by
Faster than I'd
Like to notice here
And we,
We are all grown up
And things never change
Maybe the faces
And the places we have been
So hold on now
And brace for a long ride
It won't be a rough ride
And buckle up
It might take a while
But it's worth it
To see you smile
Alone
Sometimes
I feel so alone inside
Can't hide my fear again
You burnt me up
And spit me out
When we came
Face to face again
It felt so right
But it also felt wrong
How could we love again
You comforted me
And made me see
That I still feel alone
Shooting Star
Remember the times
We laid down on the car
Watching airplanes land
Down by the boulevard
The air was so cold
Our jackets not that warm
So we lay a little closer
You're my shooting star
And it won't matter where you are
I know you're right here with me
And you're not far away
I'll look up and hear you say
Those three words
And things will be ok
What's Next
As I lay in my bed
Wondering what's next
Counting the tiles
Till the end of the hall
Thinking of you
And all we've been through
Feels like forever, we sang out that song
And now here it is
I love when we sit on the front porch
Watching the world go by
Sat on our beach blankets
Then we cried
I loved when we kissed
Your tongue was so sweet
The smell of your hair
Made me complete
For A While
Everyday,
I'll sit down for a while
And think of ways
To make you smile
When you are
Not very near
I think of ways
To get you here
When you are feeling sad
I know the ways
To make you glad
Everyday
I'll sit down for awhile
And think of ways
To make you smile
The Watcher
As I watch,
Out my window
Watching
The cars rolling by
I wonder
What if
When
Why
Or how
And come
To no conclusions
But faded dreams
Faded jeans
And faded memories
Sometimes
Sometimes I wonder
If I will live forever
I wonder,
If the clouds go home at night
And I'm thinking
Of my loved ones
Every moment of the day
Sometimes,
I think the world
Is at its end
Sometimes,
I sit around
And just pretend
I think of the days
That have all passed me by
I feel I have wasted my whole life
So tell me,
Is this the way
Please tell me, I'm not crazy
Somehow I know
I can't hold my own
So what am I to do
Pacific Sun
Pacific Sun,
You had me at goodbye
I love all your beauty
As you set down over Los Angeles
You make me, feel warm here
You make me feel wanted
On your journey
From the east coast to the west
So keep on shining
And keep on burning
And keep on moving
So I can
Keep on watching
Keep on wishing
Keep on waiting
For my Pacific Sun
Tonight Will Be Our Night
This house is so empty
No pictures on the wall
Faded paint and memories
Followed down the hall
And I think
Of those times
We sat down by the bay
Choosing our words carefully
When we don't know what to say
So I'll stay here waiting
As long as it takes, to get it right
And we'll stop losing
As tonight, will be our night
As long as you're willing
We can find a way
To pick back up the pieces
We have lost along the way
And I think
Of those times
We sat down by the bay
Choosing our words carefully
When we don't know what to say
So I'll stay here waiting
As long as it takes, to get it right
And we'll stop losing
As tonight, will be our night
Back To Vegas
Are you stopping by to see me
Or am I just here alone
Will you send it in a letter
Or call, on my cell phone
And the daylight's, getting thinner
As the night time closes in
So I'm sitting here
Waiting for you
Like I did back when
So where are you now
Are you going back to Vegas
Are you leaving, this small town
Then don't turn around,
If there's nothing here for you
Than the one who still adores you
Right now
The Drive
These warm summer nights
I stare up at the sky
Stars shine like diamonds
Moons my candlelight
Street lights, spell your name
Like the billboards in LA
Fleeting moments pass
Then there gone forever
And the wind will whisper
Love songs in my ear
And I'll say
Goes by,
These lines go by fast
And stretch out long
I can't think of anything
So tired
From all of these miles
Street signs fade
I can't think of anything
The leather is cold
When you're all alone
I count all these miles
So I can rush back home
Then I'll see you standing there
With a radiant stare
And I can't think, of anything better
Feels I've been gone forever
Thinking Of You
Keep my letters by the phone
To remind you, that you're not alone
I'll be here, thinking of you
And all that you are going through
I can't wait another day
To hear, that you are doing okay
Take my pictures from your bag
And look at them, when you are sad
I'll be here wondering what to do
I'm here, thinking of you
I can't think of things to say
And this all, just fades away
And it sucks, you're really far
I'll find you
No matter where you are
I'll keep thinking of you
And all that you are going through
The Pessimist
I can’t wait another day
For you to pass me by
Ignorance is bliss they say
So I’ll give it one more try
I say hello
You always walk on by
Always sticking up your nose,
Is it because You dress like them
In your fancy clothes
I’ll try to catch up to you
To see how was your day
But the response
Please go away
Maybe someday
I’ll win over your heart
Ignorance is bliss they say
So I’ll give it one more shot
Captains
Tell me, what I've done
And I'll try to make adjustments
In the man that I've become
I've searched, so hard for you
For you to go and tell me
That we might be through
So captains,
Untether your boats
Let’s sail, to a land so far away
And watchmen,
Climb up from the decks
Who knows
What we'll find along the way
And I'll miss you to
If you say, you and me are through
But I'll be back soon
So captains,
Untether your boats
Let’s sail, to a land so far away
And watchmen,
Climb up from the decks
Who knows
What we'll find along the way
Take Me Tonight
These walls won't stand alone
Feels like I'm holding my own
In a world that never sees
I'm begging you
Begging you please
Take me tonight
My arms, are open wide for you
And turn down the lights
My heart, will beat so hard for you
My head is hanging down
Feels like, I can't touch the ground
In a world that never sees
I'm begging you
Begging you please
Take me tonight
My arms, are open wide for you
And turn down the lights
My heart, will beat so hard for you
So hard for you
Forever
When I looked into your eyes
I could see we'd be together
And when I saw that smile
It was stuck in my mind forever
I couldn't escape, these thoughts of you
My rainy days
Turned to skies of blue
I only want to be with you
Now that the years have past
And the days roll on
I hoped to GOD
You make me strong
And every night
I kneel and pray
I scream out loud
You’ll hear me say
You're the one,
The one that I want more
You're the one,
Who makes me feel secure
You're the one,
I'd give up all my time
Someway somehow
I'll find a way
A way to make you mine
Dreaming
Hello,
My name is lost
And I'd like to take you out
For a drink and see
How we could
We could live so happily
And I think
Of all those times
I thought about you
And how
I never stopped
Squeezing you
And I never could
See right through
I was dreaming,
About the things, I could have had
And I'll think all day
And think all night
And I can't
I can't find a place
And I'm shaking
And wondering about you
And how
I never stopped
Squeezing you
And I never could
See right through
I'm dreaming
Without You
I am lost,
I can't find myself
In this tragedy
I call home
/> You weren't there
With no thoughts to share
You left my heart
On a string
And I wondered
Why you had, to go away
And I wish that
I had something more to say
You weren't there,
With no thoughts to share
You ripped a hole
Right through my chest
And I wondered,
Why you had to go away
And I wished that,
I had something more to say
So bye now, bye now
I'm without you
Don't Let Me Fall
Here I am
Speaking in riddles
When I can't, find things to say
All these things
Seem important
But they all, will fade away
So don't let me fall
Please not today
I swear I'll be there more
Like every day,
