After the freeze
Waiting For My Life
All these days
I took for granted
And all these nights
I am left alone
All these months
They fall behind me
All these years
Are left unknown
Don’t tell me
I caused, all your pain inside
I'd rather be left alone
So I can keep my pride
I feel I’ve fallen down
Too far down to even cry
I’d like to lift up again
Up again
I’ll tell you why
It’s lonely down here
Waiting for my life
I Need You
I need you,
Right here next to me
I feel you,
So close to me right now
But you never want
To speak to me
Never want
To call my name
Never want
To lay with me
And you always
Feel the same
I see you,
Lying in bed
I kiss you,
On your head
You don’t care
You should care
But you never want
To speak to me
Never want
To call my name
Never want
To lay with me
And you always
Feel the same
But, I still need you
The Road Part 2
The road
Only knows what's on it
Be it tire or soles
When we hit the pavement
The sound is deafening
The breeze
Takes my breath away
Whether running or riding
Speed
It courses
Through my veins
The road
Only knows what's on it
Now I know
About the road
The Journey
Even in the dark
I go forth
With an uncanny
Wit about me
For he who enters
The valley of death
Shall not be punished,
But rewarded
For their journey
And he who comes back
From the journey
Shall not be a GOD
But a wiser man indeed
Lightning
As the lightning strikes
I see fire from the sky
Clouds dancing like jesters
Feeding the night
As GOD bowls his last string
We hear the pins drop
STRIKE
Thoughts
It's been awhile
Since I have awoke
Before the sun
I forgot
How I liked that slumber
The silence,
Right before
Mother nature
And all her creatures
Start the day
Before the first bird chirp
Before a motors rev
I am left with just this,
An early morning thought
And the morning dew
Flirting With Disaster
I put my phone
Over my heart
So I can feel the vibration
Of your voice,
Coming through the speaker
So I can feel
Closer to you
For at least, one more night
It’s a sense of comfort,
And peace to know
You’re on the opposite end
I don’t like flirting with disaster
But it’s so sweet
As The World Turns
The disco ball is bright
But I don’t have the might
To tell you,
How I’m feeling inside
As the world slowly turns
And my heart still yearns
For the smell, of your hair tonight
So tell me were doing fine
And that you’ll be mine
I can’t tell you, how sorry I am
All the beers in this bar
And the smoke of cigars
Can’t mend a broken heart
So I’ve done all I can
This road never ends
Feels like, I am chasing the wind
As the world slowly turns
And my heart still yearns
For the smell, of your hair tonight
Now the party is over
And I am feeling quite sober
I sit here, collecting my thoughts
All the times we’ve had
Have not been all bad
They've all gone by so fast
As the world slowly turns
And different hearts yearn
For different people in life
A House
This house
It still stands
The walls are all bare
All memories lie here
If you can’t see them
Close your eyes,
Then open them
The windows,
All broke
The door,
Off its hinge
A tree stands alone
To mask a cloud
And shade the sun
I sit with reverence
The Singer
It’s been four days and three nights
Till I can come home to you
And I can’t think
Of a better thing
That I would rather do
Been sweaty
And singing all week
Just so I can make change
But the tip jar is empty
It’s all just one and the same
I’m drinking too heavy again
That’s what I seem to do
I’ve been listening to Hank
Just long enough to get through
There’s so many places
Now, that I’d rather be
Then spinning my wheels
On the highway to route 63
So please believe me
When I say,
This road takes its toll
As the passing
Of cities and towns
Makes a man, grow so old
I’ll call you,
To tell you I love you
When I’m six towns away
But this singers heart
Wouldn’t have it
Any other way
Together
Let me take you on a walk
Maybe we can sit and talk
Maybe, we could go for a ride
Throw our fears away
And just glide
With the pavement by our sides
There is no better place
We can put the top down
And drive so fast
So we won’t,
Have to dwell on the past
We are together for right now
Let’s take this moment
And make it, last together
