Seeing her half-lidded eyes right before she closed them and tilted her head upwards drove Chad crazy. A deep feral groan emerged from his throat. The lightning flicks of his tongue over her clit sparked an electric jolt through her entrance, and her body strained, tightened with every stroke. Her orgasm swelled and she was desperate for release.
He seemed to know her body better than she did.
Tilting her head heavenward, she felt his expert tongue stirring her into a frenzy, driving her to absolute madness. Her breath became shorter and shorter. “Chad, Chad, Chad!” Before she could say another word, Chad ceased what he was doing. Bonnie's eyes snapped open, and she gazed down at him.
“Say my name…”
“What?” Bonnie asked, barely comprehending him.
“Mr. Steel,” Chad said with a grin.
“Don't boss me—”
Two, slow, drawn out tortuous licks over her sensitive clit interrupted her and tore her in two. A shrill cry ripped through her body and pierced the room. She reached climax.
“Oh god, Mr. Steel,” she said as her hips pumped on his hungry mouth. Losing control, her rhythm became erratic. She gripped, white-knuckled, on the sheets. Her orgasm was overwhelming. She collapsed, face first, muffling herself in a pillow. Bonnie's body went limp while Chad applied tender kisses to her stomach.
Lifting her head and lowering her thighs from his head, she looked down on his glazed face, into gray eyes and a cheeky smile. She returned his smile. Whereas normally, it wracked her nerves, his impulse to smile was inexplicably attractive and infectious, provoking her to kiss him.
Cupping the back of his head, leaning in and planting a kiss on his mouth, Bonnie laid on his powerful chest and felt tranquil as his strong arms braced her. Her desire to rest in his arms was vying with her craving to feel him inside her.
He reached down and touched her ankles, his fingers touching her shoes. “Still wearing them? Good.”
“Jesus, Chad. That was fucking amazing,” Bonnie said as her eyes trailed his body.
He pulled a condom packet from beneath the pillow. However, Bonnie grabbed his hand, stopping him.
“I want to feel you inside me. Flesh to flesh,” she said.
Smiling, he hooked her by the hips, rose to his feet and stood off the bed. Taking her lips into his, pushing his tongue into her sweet mouth, they engaged in a breathy kiss.
“This is your night,” Chad said. “Tell me what you want.”
“I want to feel you inside me. One last time,” Bonnie said, breathing heavily. They gave each other a final look. Bonnie should have hated her body for wanting him so fiercely, but for once she was absolutely in tune with her longing for Chad.
He set her down on the bed, and gently spread her legs, teasing his tip up and down her nether lips. He used his erection to coax forth more wetness, getting her slick for penetration.
“Fuck me, Mr. Steel,” Bonnie said. She lifted her legs and put them on his shoulders.
“Good. Now, get ready.” Slowly shoving his pelvis forward, his hot, thick flesh slid into her and took what it so desperately wanted. He made a sound of bone-deep satisfaction.
“Oh yes.” Bonnie's murmur was followed by a sharp intake of breath. She took his strokes with a selfish pleasure. “Fuck me,” she repeatedly cried.
He locked his strong arms around her quivering thighs and pushed his entire length to the hilt. Although the sensation of his full entry was intense, it wasn’t violent or rapid. His thrusts came slow, deeper, deeper until her body tightened around him possessively.
The rhythmic slap of his heavy balls against the curve of her buttocks echoed through her body; she let the sensations of friction, heat, pleasure, and need roll and crash over her.
Grinning, he dropped her legs to his hips and leaned forward to capture her mouth in a slow and shallow kiss. His gorgeous face fell at her ear, allowing her to hear him pant. Abandoning his slow thrusts, he pushed inside her, letting her experience every inch, twitch, and throb of his desire for her.
Bonnie closed her legs around him, but otherwise couldn't move. She trembled as he molded his hips with her own. What came next shook her to the core.
“Be mine,” he whispered. “Stay with me.” Chad raised his head and gazed down at her.
Bonnie looked up at Chad. A soft expression loosened his tense features. Shutting her eyes, her orgasm took hold, drowning her in bliss. Their bodies locked together, pulsing, breathing, and flowing. Bonnie's mind dissolved into nothingness. Silence. His body shook violently. Her body shuddered as she relished his intimate embrace. The way he tucked her tightly against his heaving chest, hot, and sweat-beaded.
“Yes—yes,” Bonnie cried.
There was a moment of realization before they came together. Teetering on the threshold between fear and trust, Bonnie tugged onto his neck and held his head. The climax shattered her into a million pieces. A word echoed through her mind—yes, yes, yes.
Shock slapped her hard in the face—he's the one for me.
Feeling light as a feather and exhausted, sleep overtook Bonnie. She nuzzled into him, and before halfway drifting off to sleep, she felt Chad’s lips press to her forehead. He kissed her. Soon, they fell asleep holding each other.
Chapter Sixteen
He's gone.
Bonnie's thoughts swam out of her dream and into the morning light.
She awoke and took in her surroundings. The first thing that hit her was the sinfully sumptuous bedroom. The cream walls were bare and the ceiling seemed as high above her as the sky. There was an antique cabinet and a large window frame where light poured through a parting in the curtain.
Bonnie wasn't aware of the particulars of the room last night, but it was impressive to say the least. Unlike where they dined, the bedroom was situated on the top floor of the hotel.
Oh, god, he came inside of me!
Bonnie sighed, thankful that he wasn't in the bed, thankful she didn't have to look at the smug look of triumph on his face. However, turning on her side, she found herself staring into his heart-stopping face, his wild and dazzling gray eyes. Surprisingly, the smug look was absent. He was propped up in his elbow, regarding her with his dreamy eyes.
“Were you watching me as I slept?” Bonnie asked.
“Nah, I’ve just got up myself.”
“Oh,” Bonnie said.
“But… I just wanted to look…” He studied her.
“What?” Bonnie said, drawing the sheets up over her breasts. “What did you want to see?”
“I just wanted to look…,” he repeated.
“Fine. Be that way.” Bonnie squinted her eyes. Unable let it go, she asked, “What?”
“You look lovely,” he said.
He fell on his back; whether out of exhaustion or just deciding to give her a break, she didn't know, but she was glad. He made her feel so self-conscious, she practically squirmed. And of course, she'd just had sex with him, he'd just came inside her, and she was naked as the day she was born, yet still, she flushed warm under his gaze.
Henry never looked at her first thing in the morning; he always waited until she put her makeup on. She hadn’t gotten used to Chad's apparent infatuation. A part of her believed he must have been mocking her.
She observed his profile as he looked at the ceiling.
“This was crazy,” Bonnie said.
“But, you liked it didn't you?” Chad glanced sideways at her.
“Eh, it was alright.” Bonnie smiled, forcing nonchalance.
“Well, I watched you fall asleep. I saw the smile,” he raised his eyebrows playfully.
“Oh, yeah. How do you know it had anything to do with you? Maybe I was paying the man of my dreams a visit?” Bonnie stuck her tongue out at him.
“Yeah? After last night, I'm surprised he stuck around. Didn't he get the memo; you belong to me.”
“So did you bring me all the way over here to gloat about your skills? Typical Chad.”
“Hey, how come
I'm the bad guy all of the sudden?”
“You're always the bad guy Chad, nothing's gonna change that,” Bonnie said.
“I don't know. When I was inside you, I felt pretty damn good.”
Bonnie face turned red. Try as she might, she couldn't ignore that he came inside her.
“I don't want to talk about it,” Bonnie said in a low voice.
“You didn’t want the condom. How could I refuse?” he smirked.
“Drop it Chad.” She punctuated her words with a turn of her back. Exhaling a hiss of air, Bonnie dreaded to think of the consequences of her actions. Why did she tell him not to wear the condom? Had she lost her mind?
Her train of thought was derailed by the warm feeling of Chad's leg rubbing against hers. Positioning himself closer, his large frame spooned her. His palm cradled her stomach, held her possessively, and stimulated her knot of arousal. They lay silent as a few minutes passed.
“Want know when I decided to get my shit together?” Chad asked.
Bonnie half-turned, surprised at the sudden seriousness of his tone.
“Yes.”
“It was Bobby. His mom was sick in the hospital. She had stage four cancer.” Chad voice was barely audible. “I hadn't seen him for months. He didn’t return my calls or anything. Fuck him, I thought. Grabbing Dean along for the ride, I partied hard, fucked like crazy, and called Bobby a traitor.”
She faced him. It was her turn to study Chad. His jaw was tight; Bonnie could tell he was angry. But with who?
“What happened?” Bonnie asked. “How'd you find out about his mom?”
“I had an accident, I had a few too many drinks and crashed my car into a tree. I ended up looking like a fucking mess and wound up in the hospital. I was dumb and didn't give a damn about anything. Dad never loved me, even though he left me a large sum of money, I had little else. I never knew my mother, so I felt like a reject. I’m not making excuses, but that’s how I thought back then. I played the victim and believed the whole world was against me. Then I learned there were people with harder lives than mine.”
She moved closer to him, nestling into his chest, and placed a soothing hand to his face. His hand hugged her waist.
“That's when I saw Bobby, he'd been asleep in the waiting area. Patient visiting hours were up.”
“Chad…” Bonnie's voice trailed off. She held him tight.
“He was obviously going through hell. But in my self-centered head, I wasn't going go over and speak to him.” Chad's arms tightened around her. He laughed bitterly. “Imagine if I'd got out of my own way, fucking hell, that would've been a miracle…”
“But how were you supposed to know?”
“Just because dad wrote me off as a lost cause, it didn't mean I had to be a fucking prick. I acted like dad’s money was owed to me and that I could just do with it whatever the hell I wanted it.” He hissed the words, releasing Bonnie as if he didn’t want her to feel his self-loathing.
Self-loathing was something Bonnie knew all too well, but had learned to cope with it over the course of her life.
“I never spoke to Bobby that night. It took me a week before I found out about his mother and I contacted him immediately. They were struggling to pay medical expenses, so I paid for everything, stood by Bobby almost every waking hour. But it was too late. She was gone within weeks of me finding out that she was sick.”
At this point Chad sat up, his bare back facing her. Bonnie's mind raced. The sudden shift in tension shocked her. Up to this point Chad, was a two-dimensional character perpetuating an even more two-dimensional caricature of himself.
“Chad, I'm so sorry.” Bonnie reached out to touch him. Her hand felt cold, despite the warm temperature.
“I brought Bobby and Dean into the business because they have families who they care about. I don't want them to feel helpless again.” There was a solemn edge to his resolve.
They needed each other more than they ever had. For warmth, reassurance and fulfilment.
“Chad, come back to bed,” Bonnie whispered. They needed each other more than air. Sex wasn’t just a way to approach the raging conflict within themselves, but it might help them heal.
Chad turned to her. “About last night…” He began when a chiming disrupted the moment and dispelled the intimate atmosphere. Chad grabbed it. “Shit, I thought I switched it off.”
“It might be important,” Bonnie shrugged.
“It’s Heather. Shit.” Chad groaned before answering it. He stood and began to pace. Naked. Pure. Masculine.
After Bonnie drank in the sight of him, enough to leave her intoxicated, she looked away and clenched her eyelids so tight she strained from the effort. Although it did little to stop the thoughts and sensations that encroached on the shore of her mind.
He looked the same, sounded the same, and felt the same. But in the last twelve hours with Chad—god, she wanted more time to know him. Experience him. Before it was all over. But with every passing second, their time together drew nearer its end. Her body tensed at the thought.
“Fuck,” Chad said, hanging up. “We have to be back on set in thirty minutes. Leslie is losing her head.” He leaned to her and kissed her tenderly.
Although her shoulders slightly relaxed, she moaned from the loss of his lips. It was to be their last kiss.
***
Bonnie was pensive and silent during the entire journey back to the building where the party was taking place. Chad was bombarded with call-after-call, business calls, calls from friends who watched the show and were concerned about his whereabouts, not to mention anonymous numbers that turned out to be fans.
“Some asshole has given out my number again. Looks like I won't be using this phone for a while,” Chad said. “You okay, babe?”
Bonnie nodded and did her best to preserve the smile that threatened to slip away from her face.
His cell rang again.
“Yeah… tell them I don't mind taking the role. I'd piss off Channing Tatum.” He laughed as he clutched the cell to his ear. Every so often Chad looked at Bonnie. Eventually he hung up.
She faced away from him so he wouldn’t suspect anything. Bonnie wasn't certain exactly what transpired between them that caused her to feel so alone, but she knew everything would be different from here on out.
“You alright?” Chad said, but again, his cell rang. “Talk to me, Gabe. Yeah... yeah...”
Bonnie leaned back and closed her eyes. Her body was tired, sore, and completely satisfied from last night. But her mind was in a flurry. Her thoughts and opinion on Chad were jumbled, confused. While in the throes of orgasm she'd declared herself his. Was that just the heat of the moment?
She went over and over the details of when she first met Chad. Define serendipity—how about catching the eye of Chad, the epitome of temptation, after breaking up with Henry; did that count? Chad was sexual pleasure made into flesh, sublime and irresistible. He was the complete opposite of Henry.
“Hey, gorgeous, you okay?” Chad looked over at Bonnie. His brows drew together and his lips tightened as he studied her. “I'll call you right back, Gabe. Yeah, everything’s good, don't worry about it. I just have to go.” He hung up.
“You shouldn't have hung up,” Bonnie said.
“Well something's up. You might as well tell me because it’s clear something's eating at you.”
Bonnie sighted the bottle of whiskey he'd offered her last night. Opening it, she took a sip.
“Whoa there, should you drink this early?” Chad tried to reach for the bottle, but she pushed his hand away.
Bonnie swigged from the bottle, only to feel more miserable, when it burned like swallowing hot coal.
“Ack!” She dropped the bottle onto the car floor.
“Right.” Chad said. He turned off the road. The car came to a screeching halt. “What the hell, Bonnie?” He picked the bottle off the floor and placed it on top of the dashboard. Half of its contents had emptied.
“Me? You're the one
with the bottle of whiskey in your ride. After the story you told me last night, I thought you would've learned your lesson.”
“Straight for my balls, huh?” Chad gave his signature smile.
Seeing the look on his face only added to Bonnie's frustration.
“Everything's all one big joke to you.” She fumed. “Well, I'm not laughing.”
“So you mind telling me why you're freaking out?”
“Do you have a shred of decency; you came inside me…” Be yours you said. You told me to stay with you. A desperate needy feeling clouded her mind. “…now you’re acting like it never happened.”
