The Hunted (The Coven Series Book 1) Page 6

by Destiny Hawkins

A loud squawking occurred above us before a very large and familiar pink and black bird landed a few feet away. I smiled, grateful to see that Cristania had made it here safely. She looked slightly different with her pink hair now pulled back into a long pony tail, along with a silver metal symbol glistening on her forehead.

“It’s good to see that you finally made it!” Cristania said. “I was beginning to get worried.”

I could see two teens flying around on broomsticks over the camp. It was my first time seeing flying broomsticks in person since they were only brought out for one specific reason… “What’s going on here?”

Cristania stared down at me, her smile fading. She turned her head to face the camp, then turned back to us. “We’re building an army. We’re going to fight the Hunters.”

  Aveena: The City of Gold

When Michael was a slave, he learned freedom of mind, and after he was freed, he learned freedom of choice, but he never experienced true freedom. Not until he met a Raluzan Princess in the woods of Van Horn, Texas.

On one of the hottest days of the year, Michael found her shackled by a tree, surrounded by ice. A few days later, unexpected occurrences left him of no memory of her, and in a mystical world called Raluza. Everything seemed perfect, especially after realizing that the people weren’t segregated by the color of their skin...but even this world had its downfalls.

Raluza, ruled by King Lavier, segregated his kingdom by social class. The Gem, Zyla, Ruq, Ponz, and the Zext. The rich stayed rich, the poor stayed poor, and whoever disagreed with that were sent to the Zext quarter. A punishment worse than death.

After spending five years training, Michael joined an organization of skilled fighters that sought to restore the Kingdom back to the way that it was before the previous king’s mysterious death, but there were steps that they had to take in order to accomplish their goal. The first one being to kill the Raluzan Princess.
