Chapter Thirty One
Preacher
Preacher took a second to inform the girls not to come down to the cellar. He debated letting Daisy watch just to put the fear of God in her, but there was no sense in traumatizing the sweet, young thing… yet. That was how he looked at it anyway. He might end up calling the girls down later for Kathleen, but seeing the aftereffects of a session and watching the torture take place, were two totally different things. Judging by the look on the Raven’s face, she would be filling Daisy in on his hidden sadistic nature anyway. Club bitches gossiped… a lot. He gave both girls a slight smile as he turned to leave. By the time his back was turned and he was walking in the direction of the cellar, he wasn’t wearing a smile anymore. Instead, he wore a resigned look of determination to get the answers he wanted.
As soon as he entered the cellar, he immediately began talking. “Gonna tell ya something, prospect. I take a lot of pride in my torture chamber. I got it set up just the way I like. When you enter into this area of the compound, young man, you’re under my rule. Don’t touch anything, and don’t ask my prisoner any questions. You speak when you’re spoken to, do as I tell you, and you may just survive this without losing your mind or your dinner. It’s going to get real ugly up in here. It’s one of the reasons I soundproofed the room,” he smirked. One thing is for damn sure,” he patted Ricky on the back and chuckled, “we’re about to find out what you’re made of, boy.” Preacher eyed the prospect with cold, dark, empty eyes as he made his next statement, “Whatever you do, don’t beg me to have mercy on him. The last guy who did ended up on the block beside him. Let’s just say that I get in the zone when I’m working, and I don’t like being disturbed.”
He looked up to see Gunner and Beecher making their way in and smiled at them. “String ‘em up boys. Let’s get this party started. Now, remember what I taught ya. After you string ‘em up, use that winch to pull them straight and tight. I want them where their toes are barely touching the floor. In fact, take their shoes and socks off before I get started. Strip that motherfucker down to his underwear.” He nodded towards the man, who lied on the floor in a half-conscious state.
“Ah, the old psychological trick of being nude. Works every time,” Gunner chuckled.
“What?” Beecher asked as he worked with Gunner to get the man hoisted into position.
“Gives an edge to the interrogator when the prisoner is nude. It’s all in the head, man. You know, the embarrassed and ashamed thing,” Gunner answered him as he continued to work.
“Motherfucker is going to be a hell of a lot more than embarrassed by the time I get done with him,” Preacher snarled with contempt, looking at the man Kathleen had used to execute her deceitful plan.
“You want her nude too?” Gunner asked after they had finished subduing the man.
“Nope,” Preacher answered. “Dauntless doesn’t roll like that. The whole sexually abusing bitches isn’t our thing. I know you already know that and wouldn’t abuse or rape a woman, but I don’t want anything about this session to be sexual with her. If a bitch is into that, like some of the old ladies are, that’s one thing, but when a woman says no in this club, it means just that. No means no.”
“I know that’s right,” Gunner and Beecher nodded. By now, they had successfully subdued the pair, and tears were pouring down Kathleen’s face as she begged through the gag.
Preacher raised her face up to look her in the eye, squeezing her cheeks so hard she began to sob harder. “If I wanted to hear your foul fucking mouth, I wouldn’t have gagged you.” He smirked as he made his next statement, “You don’t have to worry, darlin’. I’m not going to so much as raise a hand to you.” The hope in her eyes quickly vanished with his next disclosure. “It won’t be me executing justice.” He knew exactly what he was doing by revealing just a tidbit of information. Now, not only would she have to watch her man suffer, she would also be wondering about her own fate.
The three club members looked up to see Tiny entering and making his way over to the large wooden table. He spoke to them as he came closer, “What’s up, boys? I mean, besides those two dirt bags there? He nodded in the direction of Kathleen and the man as he plopped his biker boots up on the table with a loud thud. He fired up a cigarette and pulled the metal ashtray within reach.
Preacher had thought about everything when it came to this room. He made it to where prisoners couldn’t access anything they could use to hurt a guard on duty or inflict harm upon themselves. If anybody died in this room, it would be by his hand only. Tiny’s wisecrack cut through the air.
“Hope you cleaned this fuckin’ table off after you fucked your bitch with a gun on it, Preacher.”
Heads jerked around to look at Preacher in shock. “Pussy ain’t dirty, Prez.” He cut his eyes at Kathleen and continued, “Unless it’s a traitor cunt like this one, and then it’s just plain old skanky.”
“I know that’s right,” Tiny glared at Kathleen. “She fucked up when she messed with my old lady’s SUV. It’s okay though… ‘cause I got something for her.”
“Yeah, what we discussed on the phone is very fitting.”
Kathleen looked back and forth between the two men in an obvious state of panic. Preacher was purposely laying on the mind fuck pretty thick.
“Well, let’s get this party started.” His mission would be twofold tonight. He would be dealing with the traitors and seeing what the prospect was made of. In all actuality, it would be threefold because he would also be inadvertently sending a message to their rivals. The streets had eyes and ears, and by the time he finished, everyone would have a nice, fresh reminder on what happened to those who dared to oppose Dauntless MC.
“Yeah,” he repeated, solemnly shaking his head. “Let’s get this party poppin’.”
Chapter Thirty Two
Daisy
Nursing a bottle of beer, Daisy sat in the great room with Raven and watched the other club members. Things were pretty tranquil for now. At least, they were in this area of the compound.
She fingered the top of the bottle nervously as she looked at Raven. “Just how dangerous is Preacher?”
Raven chuckled as she answered, “Just how dangerous are any of these crazy motherfuckers up in here?”
Daisy touched her arm and eyed her with sincerity. “Really, I want an answer. Should I be scared of the guy?”
“In the words of one of my very favorite characters, Be afraid, be very afraid.”
When Raven noted how worried Daisy really was, she set her beer down and started talking to her in earnest.
“As far as abuse, no, you have nothing to fear. Now, as far as betraying him goes, I wouldn’t want to be that girl. You’re going to be an old lady, so you have the right to know. He’s the member we use for interrogations.”
“Interrogations? You mean like torture and stuff?”
“Yes, I mean like torture and stuff.”
Daisy could see that Raven was surprised when she showed no fear, only curiosity, when she asked her next questions. “Is he brutal? What does he do to people?”
“Daisy, ingenuity doesn’t even begin to describe what your man possesses when it comes to torture. You’ve seen that room and been fucked in there with a gun, so you ought to know.”
“Well, I think it would be fair to assume I wasn’t checking out the tools that he uses to torture rival clubs and snitches while I was getting fucked with a firearm.”
“Was it loaded? I gotta ask,” Raven snickered.
“No, he had the decency to take the bullets out,” Daisy facetiously answered.
“What did it feel like?” Raven asked, leaning in with anticipation and soaking up every detail.
“Like I was getting fucked with a gun while my pussy got licked.”
“Oh my gosh,” Raven smacked her knee as she burst out laughing hysterically.
“Oh geez, I guess I should be scared. I can’t get a straight answer from you, you goofball.”
“Bwaha, be
afraid, be very afraid,” Raven spit out in between snorts of uncontrollable laughter.
“Every single person in this club is in need of therapy. I’m absolutely convinced of it,” Daisy resigned.
“Wouldn’t have it any other way, little sister.”
Chapter Thirty Three
Preacher
Preacher rolled the small medical table he used over so that it was within reach. He picked up a tool he had made out of bamboo shoot and showed it to the man. “Are you aware the Japanese use these little babies to get information?”
“Fuck you! What’s a little toothpick like that going to do to a guy my size?”
“Gunner, Beecher, I want this guy spread eagle, standing up.”
Gunner and Beecher hopped to it. This wasn’t their proverbial first rodeo. Preacher had constructed the chains on a movable rotary device so they could be set in various positions when rolled over the tracking at the top of the large wooden beams. He had also applied large metal clamps that, when pushed down, caused the rollers to lock securely in place. The end result was that a prisoner could be positioned in any way Preacher thought would be most effective to obtain the information he desired.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
“Answering the question you asked me,” Preacher calmly looked up from where he was knelt down by the man’s secured, and spread open, legs.
He very patiently took the miniscule bamboo shoot and slowly began to push it underneath his victim’s big toenail. Screams of agony reverberated off the walls as Preacher stood and coldly looked the man in the eye. In a voice thick with sarcasm, he asked, “Does that answer your question?” Being that he really didn’t give a fuck about the man’s answer, he knelt down and proceeded to do the same thing on the opposite foot.
He tuned out everything in the room. The looks on his brothers’ faces as they watched his horrendous acts of vicious retribution, the piercing screams that begged for mercy from a man who would never attain it, and the tremors of a body going in shock—none of it mattered. He was an unforgiving man with nothing but a taste for cruelty to fill the void in his black heart. The only thing that mattered was vengeance for his club.
He stood and spoke to the prospect, but his eyes never left the tear stained face of the man before him. “Give me his wallet.”
Ricky ran to do his bidding and brought it to him.
He spoke as he took the wallet from him, but his words were still directed towards the man. “If I open this wallet and find out you’re connected with law enforcement, you do realize I’m going to have to kill you, don’t you? That’s rhetorical, don’t be a dumb ass and answer, or you’ll piss me off. This is my calm and composed state.”
He could hear Tiny’s laugh in the background over the man’s pain filled screams. Obviously, having two precisely shaven down bamboo shoots shoved underneath the nail bed of each of his big toes, was a little more than the big guy could handle.
He slowly went through each and every credit card, slip of paper, and ID in the man’s wallet. To the untrained eye, he was being nosey, but in his world, he was looking for details. There were always certain things he looked for and questions he asked. Did the name match on each item? Were there any out of state numbers written on the tiny slips of paper? Were any of the IDs fake? These things mattered. It wasn’t just the issue of what this offender had done to Raven, though that was enough reason to kill the man. No, things went much deeper. Preacher wanted the whole story. Why did he do it? What was motivating this stranger to strike out against one of the most ruthless MCs in the nation?
When he was satisfied the man wasn’t a cop, he went one step further and gave the wallet to the prospect. He whispered in his ear, “Go give this to Hackman, tell him I said to find out who this motherfucker is, and then get your ass back out here. You got five minutes, prospect. Oh, and by the way, the clock’s ticking. Tick tock, prospect!” Ricky took off running with the wallet in his hand.
Preacher rolled the small medical table over a bit closer and picked up a dental gag, showing it to the man. “Do you know what this is?”
The man sniffled, shaking his head.
“It’s peace,” Preacher told him and shoved it in his mouth, yanking the man’s jaw open uncomfortably wide. “I’m sick of hearing your mouth!”
Preacher shook his head and rolled his eyes before he turned to eye Tiny. “Ahh, blessed quiet.” He didn’t give him time to answer but turned back to the metal table. “I bet you’re quite a hit with the ladies, you being so pretty and all. All that is going to change tonight.” He held up the tool he had chosen and showed it to the man, who now had a gaping mouth. “These are extraction forceps.” He directed his attention to Gunner and Beecher, “Boys, I might need you to hold him. Even though he’s chained, he might still thrash a bit.”
He looked back at the man who was once again sobbing. Snot and drool were freely flowing down his face due to the gag.
“Now, normally a dentist will numb their patient. Sometimes, even I’ve been known to offer whiskey to a man I’m torturing, but seeing how you’ve been so rude to me, you don’t get nothin’. So, here’s what’s going to happen… when you pull teeth, it isn’t a matter of just yanking them out. Just like a tent stake won’t come straight out of the ground when it has been driven deeply into soil, a tooth won’t either.” Preacher shoved the forceps into the man’s mouth and hooked it on his front tooth. He continued talking as he used the instrument to rock the tooth back and forth. “See, that bone is spongy, so it will give. Don’t worry if it doesn’t; I have a dental elevator for that.”
Chapter Thirty Four
Daisy stood at one end of the ping-pong table while Raven stood at the other. Both girls had shots lined up in front of them and a longneck beer for good measure. After all, a girl needed a chaser.
Daisy slammed a red Solo cup down in the middle of the table. “We’re playing Gaucho Ball with shots.” She bounced the ball off the table and into the cup. “Down the hatch with that shot of Jack, baby,” she snickered, quite pleased with herself.
Raven slammed back the shot and mimicked what Daisy did. “Ha ha, bitch, down the hatch,” she snickered when the ball landed inside.
“Well, I see you’ve played this before.” She tossed the ping-pong ball onto the table and it bounced off the other end.
“I nominate we both take a shot. Fuck the rules,” Raven shouted, tossing back another shot.
“Here, here, I nominate two,” Daisy giggled, slamming back two shots in a row.
“Girls…” the bartender chastised them. The girls stumbled into each other, laughing.
“Hey, my phone’s vibrating, or is it?”
That took them into another fit of laughter.
“Raven’s old man is on the phone, girls,” the bartender yelled, holding up the phone in evidence.
Raven stood akimbo, looking at him in accusation, “Did you snitch?”
He held his hands up in mock surrender. “He called here when he couldn’t get you on the cell. Wants you girls down in the cellar.”
Raven looked at Daisy and spoke, “Looks like you’re going to get to see firsthand why you should be very afraid.”
Preacher
Preacher eyed the prospect as he came running back in the room, trying to make sure he hadn’t gone over his allotted time limit. He ignored the young man, who was clearly out of breath, and walked over to where Tiny was sitting.
“What do you want to do with this guy, Tiny?”
Tiny wasted no time answering him, “I want to kill his ass, but finding out who he’s connected with will determine my final decision.”
“Well, I guess it’s a matter of hurry up and wait then, Prez. I doubt it will take Hackman too long to find out who the boy is though.”
Tiny’s phone rang as if on cue. Preacher patiently waited as his president talked to Hackman, curious to know what the computer search had revealed. Tiny hung up and eyed him, speaking in a low, hushed tone.
“You ain’t going to believe who frat boy is.”
“What, a cop’s son or something?”
“Or something…” Tiny chuckled. “The son of a bitch is the nephew of that lawyer, Luke, we worked over for harassing Talon’s old lady. Hold on and let me get Talon on the phone.”
Preacher observed as Tiny contacted Talon and filled him in on what was going on. The resigned look on Tiny’s face told him things didn’t look good for the boy.
Tiny spoke in hushed tones as he revealed what he found out through Talon. “We got no choice but to kill this kid. Talon’s convinced he did it in retaliation for what we did to his uncle.”
Preacher stormed back over to the man and pulled his head up from his chest by a handful of hair. “Did your uncle send you here? Don’t fucking lie to me.”
“I tried to run that bitch off the road because of him, but no, he didn’t send me. It was so fucking easy… I went to the club and found the first girl I could who didn’t kowtow to that bitch queen bee. I didn’t even have to tell her about my uncle. I just led her along like I wanted to help her and acted like I felt sorry for her. She wanted to believe me so much that, in no time, she was fucking me and sucking me like the slut she is. She thought I was her knight in shining armor; she was so easy to fool. First time I told her I loved her, the dumb ass bitch was putty in my hands.”
