“Don’t worry. I’ll kick his ass myself,” Tom piped in.
He got up and pulled her into his arms and lifted her high. He kissed her with face paint and all. This time it was her that left it smeared.
“I love you so much Sasha. God knows I promise, I swear that no matter what, I will make it up to you for the hurt and the pain.” Adrian kissed her. “I ached for you. I missed you. No crummy job. You’ll start your own business and rock this town. I’ll be your dragon and your prince, and we’ll play ghost lovers every night for the rest of our lives.”
“You have my heart, Adrian Faraday. You’re the one that I want, always,” she replied and laughed as he swung her around. “Now how long do we have this set up? The kids at the hospital will love it.”
“It’s yours for as long as you want it, my treasure.” Adrian took her hand. ‘Let’s go entertain the kids.”
Her heartache lifted. She felt like the world was opening again. Her lover, her clown, her Irish sweetheart. From their first dance in the pub that night, their lives were intertwined. She believed destiny and fate walked hand in hand. Just like her and Adrian.
