For more on Teramar, I am currently writing a sequel with the intent of maintaining many of the same characters. I do love Alian and Dr. Justine. Alexander, Quan Chung and Livia of course will continue to ride with us. However, I’ll will add new faces and pay greater attention to others who were briefly mentioned in the first book. My hope is that each character stands as a shimmer of each of us. When we laugh at Livia Uriah, we are really laughing at ourselves.
Writing to you today, the snow is blowing in fierce gusts. The lake is frozen in parts and the trees are now barren. The cycle of life is again rounding the bend for another long lap of senescence to rebirth. So while it is indeed a cold day today, the confident memory of life’s pastoral season, with its guaranteed inevitability, should be enough to nourish a tired soul. Push against misery’s seductive pull. Joy reaches those who are up and about and ready to catch her in a well-oiled mitt.
Take Christ’s gentle words, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Although I am not a true believer in any great Deus, in fact a proud atheist, Christ’s unstinting compassion for life’s predicament moves me. His words remind us that we all come from the same place offering a sincere encouragement to always carry on.
Take care, try be strong, and above all else never give up on yourself -
