He shrugged. “Well then, we better put on a show.” He dipped her and they applauded.
“They liked that;” she laughed as she continued to evenly sway in his arms.
“Then they will like this even more.” He placed a finger under her chin and lifted her mouth to his. She softened against him and soon discovered that he was correct; they erupted into a bout of cheers.
“Hm…” she sighed as they parted.
“I love you Megan and there’s only one thing that would make this day any better.” Her heart began to beat faster as he got down onto one knee. “Megan Prescott, the day we married was the best day of my life and everything was perfect. I want to make that memory again. Will you marry me…again?”
“Are you serious?”
“It’s all set.” She looked over and saw the same pastor that had married them the first time, as he emerged from the spectators. “All you have to do is say the word.”
“Yes;” she pulled him up and they kissed. “I love you Peter.” Everything happens for a reason and she knew that it was a new beginning for them. She couldn’t wait for it to start.
