Jeremy groaned. Charlie hugged him. Jeremy sighed. “What have I gotten myself into? Two scary grandmothers?”
“Oooh!” Tyler raised a finger like he had a great idea. “We totally have to get the two of them together for the holidays.”

Later that night, after most of the guests had retired to their rooms in the mansion, Glen and Tyler took a walk on the beach. They stopped a ways away from the house, security guys trailing along behind them.
The sea was black and lapping at the shore. The sky was alight with stars twinkling like fireflies on a hot summer night. So many more of them were visible that it was like being inside a planetarium the size of the world.
Glen held Tyler’s hand, and they both drank in the view. Waves nibbled at their toes like eager puppies.
“That was a good party.” Tyler sighed.
“It was. You even got to have your big scene with the mole. This sum-up thing is starting to become a habit.”
“Yeah, I just can’t help myself.”
“Don’t sweat it.” Glen squeezed his hand. “You’re damned good at it.”
They were quiet again, taking in the view.
“So. No more crazy gun battles, rocket attacks, pirates, cartels, or crazy brothers for the next adventure?” Glen turned to face Tyler, and put his arms around him.
“There’s going to be another adventure?” Tyler looked up at him, Glen’s face lit by the stars.
“With you? Every day.”
They kissed.
