“Just give in,” he whispered into my mouth. “Give into me.”

He lowered his head down and trailed kisses along my neck. Gentle caresses against my skin made me spasm in his grip. I was melting in his arms, struggling to maintain myself. I thought I would lose myself right then and there. My legs squeezed together involuntarily as more and more of my instincts began to take control.

  Sheila…

I was losing. Every kiss. Every touch. Every sigh. Each one was a blow to my resistance. It was a war I couldn’t win but I was desperately fighting.

“It’s all right,” he whispered. “I don’t care about what anybody thinks. This is just about us. This is just about right now. This moment. We’ll figure out the rest later.”

His words trailed along my skin as he continued to graze my neck with his mouth. My eyelids fluttered open and closed. A rush of sensations pulsed from my core and spread through me. All the while, Noah continued to hold me close.

With one hand on my breast, he used his other to grab my hand. He guided it between his legs. It didn’t take much effort to find it. I could feel it through his jeans. His hardness felt like a brick just trying to burst free from the fabric.

  Okay… It’s all right… Just go… Just breathe…

Just like that, the war was over. I’d lost. My mind was gone and my body had taken over completely.

I reached my hands up and wrapped them around his head. I knocked his beanie off and ran my fingers through his hair. I wanted to kiss him harder and deeper. I wanted more of him. I wanted to indulge in him as much as I could.

With a green light, Noah removed whatever restraint he had left. His hands reached for the bottom of my shirt and pulled it up over my head. The thin fabric fell to the floor. Seconds later, my bra followed. My breasts were exposed to the warm air for only a moment as his mouth quickly found its way around my nipple.

  Oh, God…

Touching. Teasing. Licking. Sucking. His mouth worked wonders on me, taking turns on each of my nipples. His hands cradled my breasts in their firm grip. I rocked my head back and ran my fingers through his hair, massaging the skin on the back of his head.

It wasn’t enough. My body wanted more. My legs hopped up from the ground and wrapped around his back. Noah held me effortlessly in his arms. He pushed forward and slammed me against the wall. I gasped as I thudded against it. My mouth remained open as I continued to writhe in his powerful grip.

He carried me through his apartment and into his bedroom. He tossed me down onto the mattress like I was his prize. I opened my eyes and stood there in front of him. I watched him take his shirt off and toss it to the side. His body looked like it had been carved out of bronze marble. The ink on his arm accentuated the muscles all over him.

While he undid his jeans, I did the same with mine. I couldn’t get my pants off fast enough. He stood before me in nothing but a pair of dark briefs, his bulge stretching the material to its maximum. The sight of him distracted me long enough to make me stop everything I was doing so I could admire him.

He didn’t stop though. He knelt down before me and tugged at my panties. He pulled them down to my knees. Another shudder shot through me as a gust of warm summer air met the wetness seeping out of me, dripping onto his sheets.

I closed my eyes and writhed helplessly on the mattress as he began. His tongue pressed against me, licking my folds. My knees began to move, out of rhythm with every touch of his tongue. He glided his way up to my clit and a sharp shudder made my whole body convulse. I reached out to the sheets to brace myself, holding on as if I were falling.

My hips began to rock back and forth, meeting his tongue with every thrust of it. His tongue was long enough to find my sweet spot. I was dancing to the rhythm he created like a puppet on strings.

My whole body shook. Sweat covered every inch of me. My muscles felt like they were going to explode. Fire replaced the blood in my veins.

Noah showed me no mercy. His tongue moved up and down in long strokes, over my folds, deep into me, then back up toward my clit. He worked his tongue like a butter knife, spreading my fluids over every inch between my legs.

  “Noah… Noah… I…”

His name was all I could get out. My lungs burned as I tried to breathe. I wanted to tell him I was close but couldn’t.

  “I… Oh…”

  Fuck!

Something unintelligible came out of my mouth. Words or sounds stuck in my throat. It didn’t matter. He knew. And when his strong hands tightened on my ass, I fell over the edge.

My body seized up. I sat up half way and gripped the sheets around me tight enough to make my knuckles turn white. Every inch of me froze. I held my breath for the longest second of my life before beginning to spasm. The waves of my orgasm slammed into me. An unknown force pushed my body into every direction at once. All the while, Noah continued to work his mouth all over me.

The pleasure spread through me. Tiny ripples vibrated my entire being, shaking my core. I sank deeper into the mattress. My vision was cloudy. My hearing was half-gone. I was lost but Noah was there to guide me.

He moved his mouth from me. I opened my eyes and saw him before me. A piece of Heaven standing right there in front of me in the form of a man. And as he lowered his underwear down to the ground, I saw just how ungodly he truly was. The length of his member was thick and erect, pointed upward toward me.

I laid on the edge of the bed, bent at the knees with my feet resting on the floor. Noah pulled my panties down the rest of the way down my legs and over one of my ankles. Then he pulled my legs up over his shoulders and took his place between them.

“Wait,” I gasped, still desperately trying to catch my breath. “Condom…”

I whispered it to him with the last ounce of sanity I had left. I didn’t know where it came from. Probably from the part of me that wanted to stay awake because it all felt like too much of a dream.

Noah hesitated for a moment, his cock throbbing in one of his palms.

  “Condom…”

I repeated it to him. I wouldn’t have blamed him for not understanding me, considering how incoherently it came out.

He seemed resigned to it. With a nod of his head, he reached toward the drawer on the dresser next to us and pulled out a condom. I watched him sheathe it quickly before pressing it against me.

The tip spread my lips open and elicited another gasp from me. My head rocked back and my eyes closed. He pushed forward and slowly started to split me apart.

  Holy shit…

He was bigger than anything I could remember. Or maybe it had been so long I forgot what it felt like. It didn’t matter. He was too hard. I was too wet. It was a bad combination for my sanity.

Noah started by teasing me with his length. He pushed against my walls and rubbed against them with his thickness. Even with a barrier of latex between us, the friction was enough to make my body shake.

I was rocking back and forth on the bed. The mattress squeaked and filled the room. It was a beautiful chorus of our bodies colliding and Noah grunting hard with every thrust. I would have joined him but nothing came out. All of the moans I had were compacted within my throat, unwilling to escape no matter how hard I pushed.

His chest pressed against mine. His tongue found its place back home inside of my mouth and I welcomed it. My legs wrapped around him and my arms did the same. I sucked him into me, consuming every inch of his length with every ounce of my body.

His muscles were hard. The sweat on his skin dripped on me. He was driving himself into me, going deeper with every stroke. All of him was bigger than I could have ever possibly imagined.

“I don’t want this,” he whispered to me suddenly.

  “What?”

“That’s what you said. You’re too old for me.”

“Right… I’m… too old for you.”

  “I’m too young for you.”

  “You’re… too young for me.”

I said it, laughing slightly, deli
rious from all of the pleasure. The absurdity of it only hit me for just long enough to realize it. If this was wrong, it certainly didn’t feel that way.

I quickly found myself back near the edge. My right leg began to shake against his back. It stoked a fire in him. Fast and deep strokes, pumping into me like a jackhammer. It wasn’t just the mattress that was shaking. The entire building felt like it was going to collapse.

  “Noah… I’m… I’m gonna come…”

“Come with me… Come with me…”

He worked his cock into me at a rapid-fire pace. I tightened my grip around him. My arms and legs squeezed his hard frame tight as I felt myself beginning to fall.

  “Oh… Fuck!”

I whimpered a deep groan as another orgasm slammed into me. My body convulsed underneath his grip. The ripples of my last orgasm were joined by even more. The pleasure made me writhe against the mattress and against the hard body pinning me against it.

  “Sheila…”

Noah grunted loudly as he lost himself. I tightened myself around him as his cock began to empty into me. Thick, hard and throbbing, his length was going to break me. My orgasm was enough to make me lose my thoughts. Feeling Noah inside of me only pushed me deeper into a place where my mind no longer existed.

I lost track of time before everything began to subside. My breath slowly returned to me. The smell of our sweat and fluids filled my nostrils. The sound of the traffic in the city came in through the window. A gust of warm air followed, another reminder summer in New Gardens was still here.

Noah pulled out of me and collapsed on the bed next to me. He didn’t say anything but I knew he was there. I could feel him.

My thoughts came back to me. My mind cleared. But it was only long enough for me to close my eyes and succumb to the fatigue of pleasure.

  Chapter 10

I got up later than I usually did that morning. Technically, it wasn’t still morning. When I woke up to find Noah missing and nothing more than a few text messages telling me to make myself comfortable in his place, embarrassment replaced the lingering pleasure from last night. I didn’t need another reminder that we did what we did. The memory of it would stick with me forever even though most of it was a blur.

I couldn’t remember the last time I’d woken up in a man’s apartment. It wasn’t something I was ashamed of, but I thought that phase of my life was over. It turns out I was just reliving that phase all over again because Noah was still going through it for the first time. But that’s all it was. I didn’t want to think any longer about what it really was or what it meant. It was just a moment we shared. I had to leave. I had something to do.

Noah and I planned on heading to Harbor Drive together. The truth was this was my obligation. I was the one who owed this to Kimmy. Noah had his own life. He had a job that demanded his presence on a daily basis. I couldn’t let him get involved more than he already was.

So I did it myself. I pieced together the outfit I wore last night, noticing some of the tears Noah left in my underwear. Then I left his apartment quickly and ignored all of the tenants that saw me leaving Noah’s place. I headed home for a shower, breakfast and a moment to recharge my batteries. I needed to find out who Victor Castle was but I couldn’t do it with any distractions like an empty stomach.

It was in the late afternoon when I finally decided to head over to Harbor Drive. The cab took longer than I was used to. I’d been in town for months but there were so many parts of the city I had yet to explore. I was still occupied with the people of the shelter. The people out here needed my help, too, but I couldn’t get to them yet.

I knew I was at my destination when the scenery changed. Dozens of ships lined the ports, each one a different size from the next. Longshoremen hustled and worked together to load and unload everything coming in and out. Giant construction cranes swung massive shipping containers and stacked them together like bricks. Just from looking at it from a distance, it appeared to be a maze.

I knew I already had my work cut out for me. Finding and confronting Castle was going to be enough trouble. Doing it without drawing too much attention to myself was going to be an impossible task.

I stepped out of the car then listened to it speed off. My last chance at heading back to the life I knew had left me.

All right, Sheila. You can do this.

I inhaled a deep breath through my nostrils and exhaled before stepping forward onto the docks to try and find the answers I was looking for.

I headed to the building at the center of the docks. It was only big enough to house one person, a man who looked like he wasn’t in the mood for conversation. He was a middle-aged guy with thinning gray hair. His forehead was constantly wrinkled as he furrowed his brow reading whatever it was on the stack of papers in front of him. His t-shirt looked like it hadn’t been washed in days and some of the holes on it made me wonder if he even cared.

As I approached the tiny window he stood behind, I could hear him grumbling to himself. I didn’t know what he was muttering. His complaints were accompanied by the sound of him scribbling his pen on each piece of paper he came across. I wondered if he was actually writing anything at all.

I stood in front of the window for a few seconds but he didn’t notice me. Or he just chose to ignore me.

  “Excuse me,” I said.

He went on about his business.

“Excuse me,” I said a little louder, clearing my throat.

He heard me but he still didn’t pay me any attention.

“Excuse me! Can I get some help?”

I banged on the window. That got his attention.

The grumpy man glanced up at me and stopped grumbling long enough to acknowledge me before turning his attention back to the papers in front of him.

“What do you want, lady?” he asked, his voice even angrier than his demeanor.

“I’m looking for someone,” I replied. “I thought that you could help me out.”

  “Everybody’s looking for someone.”

  “Look, I—”

“No, you look. I got hundreds of these shipping manifests I gotta go over. The assholes who were supposed to be here to look this over called in sick. That means they left the job to someone else. Take a guess who they left it to.”

  “I—”

  “No. Take a guess.”

  “…You?”

“That’s right! Me! So if I had to go out of my way to help every dame that came up to me, you know how much time that would cost me?”

“Listen, I only need a few seconds. I just need to know—”

“If you’re looking for someone, check that.”

He pointed over to a binder on the counter next to the window.

“That’s got all the information for everybody who’s using the docks. If you’re looking for somebody on a cruise ship, you gotta go to the hospitality and tourism booth and that’s all the way on the other side of the waterfront.”

“No, that’s it. That’s all I need. Thanks—”

  “Yeah, yeah…”

I left the man alone to his work and began sorting through the binder, looking for any mention of Castle’s name. I would have felt overwhelmed if I weren’t used to dealing with such massive amounts of paperwork for the shelter.

I combed over every page. My finger glided over the glossy paper. I searched for Victor. I searched for Castle. But there was nothing. I searched again and still couldn’t find anything. I spent half-an-hour looking for even his initials but nothing came close.

I closed the tome-like binder and turned back to the man who was still muttering to himself as he signed off on all of his paperwork.

“He’s not here,” I said. “I mean, there’s no mention of his name.”

“If he’s not there then he’s not here.”

“He has to be. How can this binder have no mention of Victor Castle? How can—”

  The man’s eyes perked up.

“You know him, don’t you?” I said.

  “Never heard of him.”

He quickly turned his attention back to his paperwork.

“Yes, you have. Don’t lie to me. I need to speak to him.”

“I told you, lady. I don’t know who you’re talking about.”

“If you don’t tell me what you know, I’m gonna stand here and bother you for the rest of the day. You’re already miserable. I’m gonna make it even worse.”

He held some of the papers in his hands. I watched as he slowly crumpled them slightly before setting them down in front of him.

“What kind of business does a woman like you have with Victor Castle?”

  “It’s personal,” I said.

“Everybody’s business with Castle is personal. You’re gonna have to be a little more specific.”

  “I just…”

I searched for an answer that was believable but not the truth.

“…I just have a business proposal for him. And I can’t share that with you.”

The clerk looked at me for a few seconds before finally reaching for the walkie-talkie next to him.

“Got someone for Castle,” he said. “Some dame wants to talk to him.”

He set the receiver back down and went back to his work, ignoring me completely like he had been this entire time.

“Just wait right there,” he said. “Someone will be along shortly.”

I took a step back from the tiny building and looked around the docks. Everybody was still hard at work, toiling underneath the summer sun. I was so caught up in all of it I didn’t notice the black limousine that had pulled up next to me.

One of the back doors opened and someone stepped out. My eyes widened as the massive man extended his legs and towered over me. He was the kind of man that made you wonder if he was even real. He was like something out of a comic book. His skin was tan and his muscles bulged through the plain white t-shirt he wore. Veins trailed along the tightness of his skin, indicating he was just as muscular as he was big. His head was shaved bald. His eyes were brown but gave me an empty stare. He wore a pair of blue jeans that would have gone up to my chest if I wore them. I creaked my head up to look at him and he stared back at me with no emotion.
