Get Out Of My Dreams Page 6

by Allan J. Lewis

Again, Alice was trying to dictate the dream by bargaining with him. Even though she was challenging him, a new experience for the Magic Man, he was enjoying her spunk. “That’s the deal, boys, you are to treat Mrs. T. like the lady that she is.”

In Alice’s dream, Old Joe opened the cell door for her, but in reality the Magic Man was miles away, lying in his own bed, with a playful smile on his face as he played out his fantasy with Alice.

“No rough stuff, boys,” Old Joe said with a wicked laugh. “Just make the lady glad she made the deal.” And we’ll see how you feel about the deal in the morning, Alice, he thought as he felt the rush of excitement course through Alice’s body.

“Okay then, boys,” said Alice as she pulled three condoms out of her purse, “you’ll use these, or we aren’t playing.” She stepped into the cell, and Horse took the three condoms from her while the other two started to undress her.

Alice fell into the role the Magic Man wanted her to.

John had sat up in bed, under the Magic Man’s bidding, and watched Alice act out putting on her stockings and suspender belt with unseeing eyes. He’d smiled as she gave different poses for him. The Magic Man looked on as he was in John’s head and body, as well as Alice’s; he could feel John’s erection, and see what John could see. He told John to get up and get three condoms ready. John did so, and then tossed his t-shirt and shorts on the floor, put on a condom, and got back into bed and snuggled up to Alice. He whispered the Magic Man’s words in her ear: “It’s all right, Mrs. T., we are going to treat you like a lady, aren’t we boys?”

  ~

Alice woke up naked, bathed in sweat. She sat up and looked at the clock––4:01 a.m. Alice’s dream flashed before her, and in a panic she went to wake John to tell him. The panic disappeared as the Magic Man calmed her down, and she stopped and smiled to herself, knowing she had kept her part of the deal–

–she’d had sex with all three prisoners. As she fell back onto the bed, thinking about it, she was too tired to do anything. She’d had at least three orgasms. Alice’s heart was beating like mad, and she was gasping for breath. She looked under the sheets. Thank God. John was naked, as well. What a dream! she thought. As she drifted back off to sleep, she wondered if she should wake John to tell him, but a little voice in her head told her to wait until morning. The Magic Man had erased her thoughts of panic and replaced them with a warm feeling of success. Mission accomplished.

  Chapter8

The morning sun was streaming through the window, filling the room with shafts of yellow light. John was the first to wake; it was 8:15 a.m. That was late for him. He

stretched and yawned, not surprised to find himself naked. His tshirt and shorts were on the floor, and he knew the Magic Man had been in their dreams again, and what Alice had had planned for last night. Remembering Alice’s moans in the night, he knew Old Joe had taken her to meet Vince, Tony, and Horse, just like he had taken John before. John still felt guilty, putting Alice through such an ordeal, but if it had taken the Magic Man out of his dreams, it was worth it. He couldn’t recall having a sexual dream last night, so he guessed Alice had taken his place with the prisoners. He looked at the bedside table, expecting to see an empty condom packet.

“Three! What the hell happened?” He shook Alice awake. “What happened last night?” He didn’t wait for her to respond. He pulled the sheets back, exposing her nakedness. “There are three empty condom packets; what the hell did you get up to last night?” He shouted, a hint of anger in his voice.

Alice was groggy. She could hear the urgency in her husband’s voice as she tried to wake up. At the mention of three condoms, she shot up and stared at the empty packets. “Oh my God, I don’t believe it!” She put her hand to her mouth at the vision of the three convicts going at her. The only answer she could offer was, “It was only a dream.” A dream that she remembered clearly as if it had just happened. She gave John a disgusted look and pointed an accusing finger at him. “Well, you must have fucked me three times last night!”

John’s eyebrows rose at her statement. “Yeah … me … three times?” He had no idea why he was feeling angry.

  “Who else used them?”

John couldn’t believe she was so calm about it, he was expecting her to throw a fit when she saw she was naked. He felt his anger begin to fade. “Well, you can tell me about it over breakfast … no wonder I slept late … three times … Jesus Christ!”

John headed for the shower, throwing over his shoulder half-jokingly: “It’s good Old Joe didn’t take a turn with you, too, I don’t know if I could have survived!” He went out of the room, then returned, and said in a more serious tone, “The Magic Man paid me a visit last night, too, and he told me why I’m being punished. I’ll tell you about it later.” He started to walk off and almost tripped over Alice’s red shoes. “And put these shoes away, you give me shit if I leave my shoes lying around!”

Alice got out of bed and noticed the red shoes on the floor at the end of the bed. “Oh my God!” she whispered. Then she went to the dresser and picked up her black stockings and garter belt that was laid out on top. “This can’t be happening.” The part of her dream where she was dressing up in them, then having her photos taken, came back to her. She went to the mirror and looked at herself. She remembered posing in only her red shoes, stockings, and garter belt. She also remembered Horse taking her stockings off her with his teeth. Did the Magic Man have me dress up, for real, to play out his fantasy? she wondered. “Thank God it was only a dream,” she mumbled.

What Alice didn’t realize as she took a longer look in the mirror, was the Magic Man was still in her mind as she admired her reflection. What she could see, the Magic Man could see. He stayed with her while she tidied up before going for her shower.

  ~

The Magic Man sat on the edge of his bed, far away from Alice. It worried him that the Feds might be close to finding out who he was. He could taste the toothpaste as Alice cleaned her teeth. “I’m sorry I have to invade your daytime life,” he said apologetically as he looked at Alice’s reflection in the bathroom mirror, “but I’ve got to find out more about the FBI agents.”

  ~

Alice stopped brushing her teeth; she thought she heard John talking to her. Realizing he wasn’t in the room, she shook her head. John must have switched the television on downstairs.

Neither John nor Alice had any idea the Magic Man was in their minds as they talked about their dreams over breakfast. They had mixed feelings about him and their dreams, and worried about what would happen next.

“I think it’s just about over,” said John as he pushed his plate away and picked up his coffee. “When Old Joe came to me last night, he told me why he gave me those dreams.”

“Don’t you mean us?” Alice was in a fickle mood. “He came to me last night, too, don’t forget.”

“Well … yes, but it was my fault to start with.” John went on to tell her the story that Old Joe had told

him. The one the Magic Man wanted the FBI to hear. If John forgot any part of the story, the Magic Man was there in his mind to help him remember.

“I was driving home from work––it must have been one day last week, or the week before––anyway, Old Joe said I cut across his lane and nearly caused him to crash. He was all right, but his granddaughter was in the car with him, and that made him furious, so he followed me home to teach me a lesson. He saw me in my prison uniform and thought he’d have some fun with me.” John hated lying to Alice, but it was better than her finding out his secret.

It relieved Alice to hear that it was no more than John’s reckless driving that had brought the Magic Man to them. “Ha … he thought he’d have some fun with you, did he say that seeing me in my birthday suit was part of that fun?”

Alice had a vision of Old Joe looking through the bars of the cell at her as the boys gave her one orgasm after another. She had enjoyed it and had been out of control. It was like a drunken orgy, and she
hadn’t minded a bit that Old Joe had an eyeful. It was nothing like her true character. It was a fantasy, and she had been playing a role––why shouldn’t Old Joe have an eyeful––it was his fantasy.

“He did say you were a bonus,” John said teasingly. “Oh great…” Alice felt embarrassed . I was just a bonus for him.

“Well, he’ll be out of our lives shortly; he said he’d be moving on.”

“I wouldn’t be too sure about that.” Alice took a sip of coffee. “Somehow, he’s found out about us talking to the FBI.”

John gave her a puzzled look. Alice nodded her head: “I think I told him, or, maybe he asked me if the Feds had been around. I don’t remember, exactly.”

John was shocked. However, the Magic Man was more than shocked. “How does she remember that? I erased that part!” The Magic Man began to pace back and forth in his room. “How could she possibly recall that?”

“What did you tell him?” John probed.

“Everything, I expect,” Alice shrugged. “You can’t lie to a hypnotist, even if you want to.”

“What are we going to tell Agent Jefferson?” There was panic in John’s voice as he became more agitated. “Are we going to tell them the Magic Man knows they are on to him?”

Things were not going the way the Magic Man had planned. He was about to put them under hypnosis again, to erase more of the dreams, when Alice said, “We’ll tell Jefferson nothing; we’ll let Old Joe move on.” Alice held her coffee in both hands. “I also told Old Joe that I know he’s the Magic Man.”

“You did what!” John was getting in a state. He threw his hands in the air. “The Feds think that it is only me that has the dreams––they can’t find out about all this!”

“Were you not listening to me? I said: I don’t intend to. I want them out of our lives as much as I want the Magic Man out of our dreams.”

“Did you tell Old Joe he’s on the FBI’s most wanted list?”

“I imagine I probably did.” Alice took another sip. “Anyway, let’s get our story straight before the Feds get here.” That was fantastic news for the Magic Man. He lay back down on his bed and watched to see how the events unfolded.

“Before we do that,” John leaned forward, “what about your dream? How come we used three condoms last night––tell me that?”

Alice knew there was no way she was going to tell him the whole story, or how much she’d enjoyed it. “Oh … the same as it was for you. Old Joe took me to their cell…” A disgusted look crossed her face. “We had sex, and when they finished, they said your debt was paid.” She shrugged her shoulders, as if to say, that’s all it was.

“So, all three of them used a condom last night?”

“They must have … well, I guess we should say you used them for them.” Alice got up. “Do you want another cup of coffee before we work on our story?”

  ~

The Magic Man sometimes cursed his gift of getting into people’s minds. He knew the world would look on him as a freak. He had powers that frightened even him. He could control anyone’s mind and have them do whatever he asked of them. If the United States government didn’t kill him, other countries would want him dead because they couldn’t allow the USA to have a weapon like him. Although his gift gave him many nights of pleasure, through the sexual fantasies he played out in his victims’ dreams, he would never use his powers to hypnotize a woman into having sex with him physically. That would be rape, and he could never lower himself to do anything like that, nor could he use his ability to physically hurt anyone. He had been raised to be a law-abiding citizen. He felt he had been given this gift for a reason, and he should put it to good use to help humankind.

Nevertheless, he had to keep his identity a secret, and if it meant using John and Alice a bit longer to keep himself informed of what the FBI thought and wanted, then so be it.

The Magic Man realized he had gone too far with John. He should have left his dreams on the second night––that would have been enough punishment for John––leaving him thinking he was just having terrible dreams of the past, which caused him to sleepwalk. But Alice’s beauty had kept him longer than he should have stayed; he wanted to play out his fantasy with her. And now the FBI was on to him. The only way he could make amends to John and Alice was to plant thoughts in their subconscious minds. He needed them to relax, and take their situation in stride–

–to turn the frightening trauma they had gone through into an extraordinary adventure that few people had experienced. Whenever they felt scared or unsure, he wanted them to remember: “It’s only a dream.”

The Magic Man stayed in Alice’s mind in order to see and hear what the Feds had to say. Through Alice’s eyes, he had a front seat view as he stayed in her subconscious. Alice had no idea he was there.

  ~

John told Agents Jefferson and Smith how Old Joe came to him in his dream last night, telling him he had been punished for lane jumping, and Old Joe was going to move on soon. Jefferson and Smith had been excitedly writing in their books while John had retold his dream.

“Now, let me see if I’ve got this right…” Jefferson began, “This Joe said he was driving the car?”

“That’s right … and I cut him off.”

“So we can assume that this Joe guy is the Magic Man, not that your description is of any help to us. But, he said his granddaughter was in the car.” Jefferson looked at Smith, and they both had excitement in their smiles. “If he’s got a granddaughter, then he’s had at least one child, and most likely is still married. Our profiler suggested that he might be married, but until now, we’ve had nothing concrete about him being a family man.”

Smith nodded. “And he said your wife was a ‘bonus’?”

“Yeah, those were the words he used.” John glanced sheepishly at Alice.

Agent Smith couldn’t hold back her excitement. “The smallest detail can help us. We hope we can obtain the videotapes of John’s car on the highway as he went to work and came home, and see if anyone turns off at the same intersection and follows him home. Anything can help.”

“Yes,” agreed Jefferson, “perhaps you’d better phone that in before they change the tapes.” Smith got up and went into the kitchen.

John shifted uncomfortably on the sofa; he had forgotten there were video cameras on the highway. Hopefully, the highway was too busy that day for the agents to make a positive ID on his vehicle.

“Alice, back to the same old questions as before...” Jefferson tried to put on a relaxed smile, but it came off like a grin. “Did you wake up this morning to find your panties on top of your slippers?”

“Yes, I have the same old answers, my underwear were on top of my slippers.” Alice knew the next question, and she didn’t want John slipping up and saying they used three condoms, so she spoke sharply: “And, yes, there was an empty condom packet on the bedside table.”

Jefferson looked at his notes as he turned to John. “You said the Magic Man told you he’d be moving on shortly, so by that, I assume he’ll be back tonight.”

John frowned. “Did I say shortly?” Jefferson nodded. John shook his head. “Actually, Joe gave me the impression he was moving on.”

Alice squirmed in her seat at the thoughts Jefferson must be having of her and the Magic Man, and she dreaded the questions to come. Agent Smith had returned to the room, and turned to her.

“Mrs. Timberlake, would you mind if one of our senior agents comes by to interview you later this evening?” Smith was holding her cell phone in her hand, showing Jefferson she was still on the phone.

Alice looked to John. “I don’t see a problem with that, do you John? We’re not going anywhere.” John just stared at her blankly.

Smith put the phone back to her mouth. “Yes ma’am … that will be all right. I’ll make all the arrangements, and I’ll talk to you later.” She turned to Jefferson with expectation written all over her face. “Rosemary Burrows is flying in. She’s dropping everything she’s working on.
Smith took a deep breath. “She will be here in seven or eight hours.”

It was obvious to Alice and John that Rosemary Burrows was someone important. Jefferson stood, and noticing the puzzled looks on their faces, he informed them, “Special Agent Burrows is the profiler of the Magic Man, and she’s flying in from Quantico, Virginia.” He folded his notepad. “We’ve got to go now and arrange for her arrival. Thanks very much, you’ve both been a tremendous help.”

  ~

The Magic Man was pleased with the way the Feds fell for the story. They would spend hours looking at tapes, and tracing the owners of the cars that were unlucky enough to follow John off the highway. They thought the Magic Man was married, with children, and a granddaughter. He became sad as he remembered his wife’s tragic death. They hadn’t been married long, and they had been planning to start a family. Still, he felt some satisfaction at the way events were unfolding. “They think Old Joe is the Magic Man, so, from now on, the Magic Man will be Old Joe. If they want to look for a man 20 years older than me, well then, OK. Plus, I love the way Alice calls me Old Joe, as if we are old friends.”

Old Joe would return when Agent Burrows arrived, to see what she made of it all.

  Chapter9

It was seven o’clock in the evening when Special Agent Rosemary Burrows arrived at the Timberlake residence. She was tall and thin and in her early fifties. She looked tired and

apologized for the late hour. Burrows had come alone and gotten down to business right away. She told them how crucial it was to find this Magic Man, and they were the best lead the FBI had had so far. She listened to John and Alice’s story, writing several notes, then went over the same questions as Jefferson and Smith had. Burrows thought the same as Jefferson––the Magic Man would be back––especially after seeing how attractive Alice was, and knowing how the Magic Man got his kicks. Two cups of coffee later, and much information gained, she told John and Alice she was going to stay in a hotel nearby, and she’d see them in the morning. Burrows was eager to find out more, and was sure the Magic Man would return that night.
