Or the slimy, downward slide,
into the pits of shadows.
Whose reward lies along the way?
TRAPPED
Trapped
Between two.
Trapped
Between them.
You,
The one,
The one I fear,
Fear not to love.
She,
The one,
The one I fear,
Fear to love.
Trapped
Between two.
Trapped between
Love and Love.
She,
Sinful,
Joyful,
Carefree.
You,
Pretty,
virtuous,
Experienced.
Caught,
Confused,
Lost.
I see you
Love you
Need you.
I see her
Want her
Need her.
Trapped
In the best Trap of all
The trap of the
Young Restless Heart.
Searching,
For a light,
A Guiding light.
Blind,
Blinded by the,
Thought of another,
Another Life.
Deaf,
Deaf to the,
Reason of friends.
Deaf,
Deaf to the
Song of Angels.
Yelling,
Running,
Wanting,
Not Knowing.
PROUD TO BE A NOBODY
I took my dog for a walk, he pooped on someone’s yard, so I cleaned it up,
But Nobody does that...
I tipped the waitress that tried really hard but just kept messing up 25%,
But Nobody does that...
I stopped and changed the tire for an old lady stuck on the side of the freeway, and did not accept any money,
But Nobody does that...
I took in an abandoned mixed-breed dog that has no “papers”,
But Nobody does that...
I stayed up till early hours just to listen to a complete stranger dump their problems on me,
But Nobody does that...
I stopped my hectic drive to work to move debris out of the road,
But Nobody does that...
I gave two weeks’ pay to help the victims of 9/11, and weekly give to charity,
But Nobody does that...
I stop to hold the door for people, for no special reason,
But Nobody does that...
I tracked down a frustrated pet owner whom I did not know, and spent time helping them, when everyone else just turned their head to the hitting of the pets,
But Nobody does that...
I spent time playing with the 30-year-old child with autism, when everyone else was too busy to notice,
But Nobody does that...
I buy all my music, knowing that the small people involved are lucky if they get 4 cents per CD,
But Nobody does that...
I spend the time to contact every single sponsor of a good show on TV and thank them,
But Nobody does that...
I spend the time to contact the corporate headquarters and tell them of the great job their employees are doing,
But Nobody does that...
I forgave the troublemakers every time they sincerely asked, even knowing that it would happen again,
But Nobody does that...
For all these reasons, and many more, I am proud to be a Nobody.
SPECK OF DUST
Oh, Speck of Dust,
Oh, insignificant Speck of Dust.
How you cause such misery,
For the poor housekeeper,
For the poor nose?
How can you do such a thing?
Oh, Speck of Dust,
Oh, insignificant Speck of Dust.
Why do you do such a thing?
What have we done to you,
Oh, Speck of Dust?
To bring about such a thing,
as a vehement Speck of Dust.
THE CHAOS BRINGER
Black clouds shroud the beach in shadow
Chaotic bolts of azure energy strike the rocks
Earth hurls itself upwards in retaliation
A growling wall of sound tears through the air
Ocean throws itself against the shore
Elements of air race across the sky
Violet flames feed on the nearby forest
Primal Fear charges up from the depths of the ocean
Beasts big and small flee before the terror that comes
Only man is ignorant enough to stay
A Spectral force comes from across the ocean
On a great ship of swirling energy
Even man will learn to fear that which comes
For that which comes shall not be denied its throne
All shall hail the Chaos Bringer...
THE ENCHANTER
The Enchanter,
He is mighty,
He is great.
He has the power to destroy,
Or to create.
He can raise a mountain,
Or sink an island.
He can call down the Lightnings,
Or quell a storm.
The Enchanter,
He is mighty,
He is all powerful.
The Enchanter can alter the flow of time.
He can see the truth in men’s lies.
He can make slaves out of the proudest of men.
His very name causes heroes to shake in fear.
The Enchanter,
He is mighty,
He is unequaled in power.
He can kill with a word,
He has mastered time and nature,
He spits in the face of gods,
He has enslaved mankind,
He has been to the stars and back,
His power is only matched by pride.
The Enchanter,
He is mighty,
He is ageless.
The Enchanter has outlived,
All his enemies.
He is older than the moon.
He bore witness to,
Mother Earth’s birth.
The Enchanter,
He is mighty,
He is doomed.
He has conquered all,
Save one.
He is undefeated in all battles,
But his greatest battle is yet to come.
He fears no force in this,
Or any universe,
Save one.
The Enchanter,
He is mighty,
He is mortal.
The Enchanter,
He is old,
But Death is far older.
The Enchanter,
He is great,
But Death’s power is unfathomable.
The Enchanter,
He was defeated,
By the only true everlasting power.
The Enchanter,
He is dead.
The Enchanter,
He was mighty,
He was great.
He was ageless,
He was unequaled in all things,
He is forgotten.
