"You don't understand, Nathan. It's my duty to take care of her and her business. She did all this for me."

"For the heaven's sake, put your feet down on the ground." My voice rose with every word. I hadn't expect her to say such things. Her mother had manipulated her completely.

Eva walked back after seeing me furious. "Nathan, please. Calm down. I'm just saying that I should look beyond my own needs. I must fulfill my duty towards the family business."

"Shit! What about your dream? What about the countless hours you’ve spent on the track?"

"I don't understand, Nathan. I am confused. Please help me." She was on the verge of crying.

"No, don't cry. I can't accept that you are wasting your time and leaving your dream behind for the business."

"I am not saying I am going to join the business."

"You're freaking sounding like that." I wanted to shake her, and wake her from the foolish world she was in.

"You are out of your mind. I don't think you are listening to what I am trying to say here."

"You are out of your mind, Miss Eva Clark. You are planning to end your career."

"I thought you would support me Nathan." A tear splashed on her cheek. She picked up her purse and walked out of the door.

I wanted to stop her, but the thought of Eva joining her mother's evil business blasted me still. I sat there thinking about the situation, but I couldn't see any escape out of that situation. Dear lord, how am I going to tell this innocent girl about her mother?

  Chapter 18

  Eva

I stormed out of Nathan's house, but I couldn't understand what had gone wrong. I wanted help from him, but the moment I mentioned joining the business, he panicked and started shouting. I walked out of his apartment, but I didn't feel like going anywhere. I felt alone and sad. Chloe, I thought about visiting her, but she was already stressed out with her own problems; I didn't want to disturb her any more. When I closed my eyes, Nathan’s panicked face was still visible in front of my eyes. His haunted eyes, I couldn't understand why he had taken the whole thing the wrong way. My face was blasted with high winds. I looked around, and I was walking on the footpath alone. My mind wandered in my own thoughts again. I was just asking Nathan for some advice. But he acted like I was telling him I had joined my family business. No, I can't blame him right away. I have to see his side of things as well.

I walked aimlessly, thinking about our discussion. Spending some time alone can do wonders with your issues. He was right about many things. I can't give up on my dreams, my inner self said. Nathan was partially right. He just couldn't watch me giving up my own dream. Maybe I chose the wrong way to convey my confusion to him.

I looked around. I was wandering on the footpath next to his apartment. I should go back and say sorry. I turned back and climbed the steps to his apartment. The door was open, and I walked in. Nathan was sitting on the couch with his face hidden in his palms.

"I am sorry, Nathan." I said in a low voice.

  "What?" he looked up.

  "I said, I am sorry."

"But Eva, it's your career that's at stake. I saw you giving up everything for it, and now you are saying you want to put it aside?" His eyes spoke his heart. I went over to him and cupped his face in my palms.

"I am not destroying my career, sweetie. I love it more than anything. I just want a way to join things together."

"I'm still not convinced, Eva. They are the exact opposite."

"Look at yourself. You are managing both things, right?"

He looked away in pain. "Don't you see, Eva? I am actually failing in it. I don't have a single client right now. Frankly, I don't know what I'm doing with my business."

"I am so sorry. I didn't mean that." I had pressed a wrong button. I knew he didn't have a client after my college project, but I didn't know the conditions were so bad. "We will find a way out of it." I thought of asking my mother, but telling that to Nathan didn't sound like a good idea. "Come here." I sat beside him and pulled his head in my arms. I slowly started moving my fingers through his hair.

When I moved my fingers through his dark, silky hair, he closed his eyes and pushed his head on my breasts. I started tracing an imaginary line on his chiseled back. I loved every muscle of his body. He moaned when I traced on his neck. He started sucking my nipples. Suddenly he stood and pulled me up.

“What?” I wanted to make love to him and I thought he wanted the same. But, why had he stood up suddenly?

“I need a shower and I want you there, too.”

An excitement rose through my legs to my spine. Taking a shower with him was definitely a sexy, attractive idea. But I wasn’t prepared for that in my mood. I was going to be miserable in the shower with him. “But Nathan. Can we do it here?”

“Are you coming, or shall I lift you?”

“But...” I wasn’t sure about the whole idea. But he didn’t listen. He bent down and lifted me in his arms like I was a weightless flower. “Awww. Nathan, are you sure?” I was still uncertain about the idea.

“Shh.” He kissed me on my forehead and walked inside bathroom, still holding me in his hands. Without putting me down, with his right hand he turned on the shower. A jet of water sprayed on us.

  “Damn, it’s cold,” I cried.

“I will make you hot.” He lowered my legs so I could stand on them. I held his shoulder and stood there with my body shivering under the cold water.

One by one, Nathan opened his shirt buttons. With wide eyes I was trying to suck his sculpted body inside me. Water was running through his firm collarr bone to his pumped chest and then through the lines of his pecs entering in his jeans. I had seen Nathan naked, but seeing him standing in running water knocked my bearings off. I gasped hard. I didn’t know if it was the effect of his body or the chilly water. I wanted to suck his abs, but before I could move he pulled me closer to him and then pushed me against the wall of the shower. My back rested on the cold wall, a shiver passed through my body, but my mind was blown away by the watery god standing in front of me. He lowered his mouth to suck my right nipple over my top.

“These are the awesome tits.” He bit my nipple.

I whimpered and relaxed my neck back on the wall. My one hand rested on the back wall and other hand moved through the back of his hair. I could never get enough of him.

“You like that, cupcake?” he asked huskily.

I gasped hard. “Come on, suck hard,” I whispered. I fought with his jeans to remove the buttons and move them down. He helped me with one of his hands, and in a fraction of a second he was in his boxers.

“You smell good.” he said gruffly, his hand fighting with my jeans button and finally undoing it. His mouth closed around my nipple while his one hand lowered my jeans to my knees. With one hand he snapped my top over my head. I was half naked in front of him.

Resting my hands on his shoulders, I pushed one leg of my jean off. Freeing the other leg from jeans was easy. He continued his assault on my right nipple while his fingers brushed against my panties. My inner thighs were completely wet, but I wasn’t sure why. Water was showering me from outside and the mounting arousal was showering me from inside. It was a completely exiting experience.

He moved his mouth from my nipples to my belly, tracing a wet line with his tongue. I shivered in excitement. His hands grabbed my buttocks and pulled them forward when his tongue reached my sweet spot. I was still wearing my pink lacy underwear, but due to water and thin fabric I could feel every touch of his tongue on my lower lips.

His tongue circled around my clitoris. Whenever his tongue brushed my clitoris accidentally, bolts of lightning passed through my body. I grabbed the back of the wall for the support. My knees weakened. He had such magic in his tongue; he always put me on the cliff of the mountain of excitement. My body started shaking, I couldn't control it anymore. I wanted his complete touch. I pushed his head with my one hand and lowered my panties with other and pulled his head back on my sweet spot. />
I think he understood what I wanted. He dashed his tongue inside my lips, giving me sensual sensations which I never experienced before. I didn’t know why having sex with Nathan had been always a new experience. He never felt old and familiar. I grabbed a handful of his hair and pulled his head on my private part. “Damn, Nathan.” I moaned in pleasure. I shook violently with every wave of my release. I pulled his head up and kissed him. “Why you always do this to me?” His hands were still on my buttocks.

  “What?” he smiled mischievously.

“This burning desire. I just can’t live without this.”

“Who said you should live without this?” He chuckled and lifted me up with his hands.

I lowered his boxers with my hands and his large manhood jumped up, touching my sweet spot. “Awesome.” I gasped hard. I touched his penis and stroked it up and down with my hand.

“Oh, babe,” he groaned. “Don’t.” He bit my earlobe.

“I want you in, right now,” I whispered and wrapped my legs around his waist.

He put my back on the chilly wall for stability and adjusted his manhood on my lips. With one push he was completely inside.

I screamed in pain and pleasure. I couldn’t believe how anyone can have opposite emotions at the exact same moment. But I was having them both. I clawed his upper back with my nails and pushed myself on him. He slowly started stroking me. I could feel every inch of his manhood inside me, completing me.

“Damn, Nathan, you are so awesome,” I moaned with the next stroke.

He bit my neck and started pushing himself harder and faster. I knew I was having my second orgasm. I pushed my nails further into his back and screamed loud.

Hearing my scream, he increased his speed and released himself inside me. The effect of water and the ongoing orgasm was ecstatic. That was the best sex of my life.

  ***

"Thanks, Nathan." I hadn't known how much I missed him when he wasn't around. Every inch of my skin craved for his touch. He completes me every time we sleep together. I looked at his bare body lying beside me peacefully. A single drop of blood was coming out of his jaw.

"Baby, why are you bleeding," I asked rapidly.

"It must be a bruise from yesterday's fight. Can you fetch a bandage for me? It's in the right drawer of the closet."

I crawled out of the bed and walked towards the closet. I looked in the drawer and it was filled with lots of medicines, mostly pain killers and antiseptic. While searching for the bandage, I stumbled upon a photo. It was Samantha and Nathan. They looked so young. It was weird to find that photo there. "Nathan..." I was going to ask him about her, but then I hesitated.

  "Yes, babe?" he replied.

"Nothing, I found it." I placed the photo back and took out the bandage. I gave it to him. "What happened to your divorce, Nathan?" Finally, I asked him.

"Good point. Thanks for reminding me."

  "Reminding you what?"

"Hearing is tomorrow. So I may be busy for a while."

"Oh, that's good." I felt myself relax.

"I know, sweetie, it’s actually awesome." He applied the bandage and pulled me back in his arms. "Let's make it more awesome."

  Chapter 19

  Divorce

  Nathan

"Sweetie, I'm going to court." I slowly whispered in Eva's ear. Last night had been amazing and I wanted to continue in the morning. But the divorce was a very important thing for our relationship to continue. I woke up and got ready for court. I kissed her cheek and slowly walked out of the room. I left a note for Eva and left the house.

After thirty minutes of driving I was in front of the Family Court. I could see Samantha waiting outside of the courthouse. I parked my car and chose a route which wouldn't have me pass Samantha. Meeting her outside was the last thing I wanted to do that day. But sometimes the inevitable happens. She spotted me from a distance and rushed to meet me.

"Good morning, Nathan darling." She hadn't changed.

  "Morning, Samantha."

"So... a big day?" she said in sad voice. I looked in her eyes. Some sort of sadness was there.

  "I don't think you're regretting this." I said.

  "Is that sarcasm?"

"You can take it like that," I replied. "Let's go, I don't want to be late. And thanks for coming." She followed me.

  ***

"Okay. I will be there in half n hour." Samantha was talking to someone when we get out of court. When she hung up the phone, she gazed at me for a couple of seconds. She looked determined. "Thank you, Nathan," Samantha called after me when I was walking outside of the court. The court had listened to us and granted the divorce. I was thankful to court and God. It marked my freedom. And as Samantha earned more than me and I had a mortgage from the bank, I didn't have to pay her even a penny.

"For what, Samantha?" I continued walking without looking at her.

"Please, stop." She touched my shoulder. I turned back to face her. She was crying. "It's an end of an era for me, Nathan."

"What era? It ended a few years back for me," I replied in anger. All those painful years passed in front of my eyes in a split second.

"One last drink, Nathan?" She asked with another sad tone.

"Sorry, Samantha," I replied, and turned back.

"For the new beginning. Please," she begged me. I thought of ignoring her and getting back to business. But a small part of my heart still held few good memories of her. That part wanted to have a one last drink with her.

"Okay, but no drinks. We can grab a coffee from Starbucks." My no alcohol policy in match days was on.

  "Whatever." She started following me.

In few minutes, we grabbed a seat outside of Starbucks and got two lattes.

"I thought you loved Coffee with sugar, didn't you?" Samantha asked.

"It's match days." I loved coffee with sugar.

"Even my love for you." She said.

"Samantha, if you are going to talk bullshit then I’m out of here."

"Sorry, please listen to me once." She grabbed my wrist. I pulled it hard from her hand.

"You don't deserve it, Samantha." I was disgusted with her.

"Maybe I don't. I know I treated you worse, but still. I'm your wife."

"You were my wife, not anymore. Get out of your dream world," I said with a sharp tone.

"Is that Eva and her mother?" Samantha said.

"What?" I looked outside into the ally. She was right, Eva and her mother were walking outside. Eva's mother said something to Eva and she looked at me. Our eyes met, I saw sadness in her eyes, like she hated me. But that couldn't be possible. She knew I came here to get a divorce. Her mother said something in her ear and they walked away. Eva didn't show any sign of recognition. I turned back. "How do you know her mother?"

Samantha looked shocked. "My work is over Nathan. Thanks for everything. I have just one piece of advice for you. Keep away from Eva's mother, she is a bitch. She paid me to lure you here."

I wanted to punch her, but I didn't believe in hitting a woman. That was opposite of my principles. Instead, I punched the table, hard. Samantha smiled and walked out of there. I couldn't believe Eva's mother, the extent she was going to to keep me away from Eva. I was in big trouble. I grabbed my divorce papers; they were the only chance I had with Eva.

  Chapter 20

  Storm

  Nathan

With a crashing sound, my car plunged on the concrete block inside my parking garage. Fortunately, the air bag didn't come out and I could get out of the car easily. The small crash was a result of my temper. My hands were trembling because of my incapability to punch Samantha. I couldn't punch her and I ended up breaking the Starbucks table. I was fined two hundred bucks for that damage. Eva's expressions were killing me on the inside. I tried calling her again and again, but she didn't pick up the call. Shit! What she must be thinking about me? I gave up after so many tries. I took out my friend Jack Daniel and fell asleep on couch. When I woke up the next morning,
there was a message from Eva on my cell.

Hey sorry was out with Mom. It’s very late and I think you must be sleeping, please call me in the morning.

The message had come very late at night. I called her.

  "Sweetie, good morning."

"Good morning." She sounded quiet, like she was forcing herself to talk with me.

"College canteen?" I wanted to invite her to my house, but I was afraid she might decline.

  "Okay."

I took a quick shower. I looked at my watch; I was running late already. I jumped in my car and drove fast to the college. When I was inside the canteen, Eva was sitting on a table, with her back facing me. I walked towards her slowly. I tried to guess her mood. She was drinking coffee, sipping it slowly. She was looking out the window, maybe thinking something. I feared that she was thinking about me and Samantha. I took a seat in front of her.

"Here they are." I threw the divorce papers in front of her.

"What are these?" She picked them and started reading.

"My divorce papers. She asked me for a coffee, one last coffee. That's why I was sitting with her." I explained my situation.

  "So what?"

"I thought you should know why I was sitting alone with my ex-wife," I responded with hesitation. Why was she behaving like this?

"I don't care about her, Nathan. I don't care if you were sitting there with any girl, unless you were kissing her. I trust you. And you should believe me on this." A mischievous smile appeared on her face.

"Um, you walked away from there. So I thought you were angry."

"Not at all." She held my hand. "You should trust that I trust you."

"Ummm, thanks, baby." My muscle relaxed. "I have something else to share with you."

  "What's that?"

"I'm thinking about participating in a boxing championship in Santa Ana."

  "Where is that?"

"Six hour flight. I thought, I should tell you first and then make the decision"
