Settling back against him, she smiled. He still wanted her, and it felt so right to be in his arms again. “Did you miss me?”

Ryder nuzzled the skin of her neck, placing kisses down to her shoulder, “More than you know.”

“My sister’s alive,” she whispered. “No one else survived, but she did.”

“I see that,” the gentle kisses never stopped. “I’m happy for you, sweetheart.”

  “Ryder...”

Ryder turned her around in his arms, sliding his fingers through her hair. “Rayna, I know what you are thinking, but there is nothing in this world that is going to keep me from you.”

Rayna’s eyes filled with tears, “Nothing?”

“Nothing,” Ryder promised, covering her lips with his. She moaned softly, a shudder going through her body. She had been so afraid she was going to lose him. Pulling back, Ryder raised his head, his blue eyes full of promise, “Your sister may have held a piece of my heart in the past, Rayna Williams, but you own me now, heart and soul. There is nothing in this world I wouldn’t do for you.”

Rayna’s eyes widened when Ryder knelt before her, removing something from his jeans pocket. “I’ve been carrying around this thing since before you left,” he admitted, opening a dark blue velvet box. A lone solitaire diamond sat inside, the sun glinting off of it, making it sparkle and shine. Grasping one of her hands in his, he kissed the back of it, smiling up at her again. “Will you put me out of my misery, Rayna Williams, and make me the happiest man alive?”

Rayna didn’t bother to fight the tears that flowed freely down her cheeks. She had been through hell most of her life, running from a man who wanted to destroy her entire family. But, now that man was gone, and she only had one more place to run. Straight into Ryder’s arms. “Yes!” she managed to gasp through her tears. “Yes, Ryder, yes!”

Ryder removed the ring from the box, placing it on her finger. Then he let out a loud whoop as he stood, picking her up in his arms and twirling her around in a circle. Rayna heard laughter and cheers coming from behind them, but when Ryder’s lips connected with hers, everything went away except for him. Yes, she was finally home.

  About the Author

I have a wonderful, supportive husband and three beautiful children. I enjoy spending time with all of them which normally involves some baseball, shooting hoops, taking walks, watching movies, and of course reading.

My passion for reading began at a very young age and only grew over time. Whether I was bringing home a book from the library, or sneaking one of my mom's romance novels and reading by the light in the hallway when we were supposed to be sleeping, I always had a book.

I read several different genres and subgenres, but Paranormal Romance and Romantic Suspense have always been my favorites.

I have always made up my own stories, and have just recently decided to start sharing them. I hope everyone enjoys reading them as much as I enjoy writing them.
