Stranger things had happened, that I knew. If they came we would cooperate with them in the most professional and formal of ways.
Whether that was a possibility was beyond me, if these people and places even existed at all. Right now things were going pretty well, and we were getting back on our feet.
After some time I sat up and took another deep breath, basking in the glory of this little patch of growth before getting to my feet. I adjusted the rifle and the bagful of fruits and vegetables, and set off back towards Bastion.
Little did I know that in no time at all I would be hearing the sound of helicopter blades spinning overhead, as we were confronted with something I had never anticipated.
