Wrong Step (Urban Fiction): A Sinister Syndicate Thriller Page 9

Tyler surprisingly scooped her up in his arms.

“Oh, I can shake. Work is over, Wanna play?”

It was time, and Sheddi definitely wanted to play.

  Mission Debriefing

That was different for me. I know I was in the military once, but a Ranger is an elite soldier. I always hear of Green Barrettes, but a Ranger has just as much clout. Some Green Barrettes are even Rangers. Each service has their elite.

I wrote this story for my fiancé. She’s my light, and I did an entire series with her mother being the main character. The Millennium Malevolence was for her. Click the title to get the free beginning.

The main character was based on my lady. I put her friends in it as well. Osei is a real person. I wanted to capture the real names of Ghana. Now I put in the multilingual aspect of the characters. My girl knows four, but her character knows nine. This is fiction, and I used to create superheroes. I made her super.

I don’t think she really knows Krav Maga, but I did ask her who Jimmy Hendrix was, so that part’s true.

I wanted to make an exciting story, so I put in a Jamaican posse. We’ve all seen the mob, Italians, and Russians, but the Kingston Head Crackers haven’t been as exposed as them. They are just as ruthless, and dangerous as the others, but nobody really knows that. I like to display the obscure.

I guess this was a multicultural adventure. When you attempt that, you have to know the cultures. I don’t ever want to offend anyone by screwing up their culture.

Writing fiction gives you freer leeway to create. You can use any color you desire, but stay within the lines. A ‘hack’ colors every which way thinking they’re ‘avant-garde’. They just mess up the picture. I used to draw, so messing up a picture is sacrilege.

Okay, thanks a lot for getting this story, and if you enjoy my tales, here’s my Amazon library. https://www.amazon.com/author/kylerobertson_fiction

  Until next time, farewell.
