Ink: Savage Crows Book One: An MC Romance Novel Page 8

by T. O. Smith

"I never thought I was entitled to help, Johnny." I said softly. “I was only hoping that Ink still cared at least enough to protect me.”

He blew out a harsh breath. "I know that now, Reina. You went through absolute hell, and even after we saw what you went through, the protection we had to put on you, I still wanted to hate you for what you did. Your betrayal ran the fucking deepest for me. Any of these men here could stab me in my back, and it wouldn't hurt nearly as bad as you ripping our family apart for a fake love."

Tears spilled over onto my cheeks as I stared at the ground. "I'm sorry, Johnny." I choked out. "I'm so sorry."

Ghost wrapped his arms around me, tugging me into his bigger frame. "I'm sorry, too, Reina. You deserve every bit of happiness you can find, and I was such a dick for ever thinking otherwise. You're great for Ink, and honestly, he's the best fucking man out there for you, and I'm so fucking glad you have someone like him." He tilted my head back and wiped some of the tears off of my cheeks. "You're going to be a fantastic mom, Reina. And I'm hoping that despite all of the shit between us, you'll let me be your kid's favorite uncle." He said with a small smile tilting his lips.

I choked out a sob as I threw my arms around my brother's neck, nodding as I did so. "I missed you so much, Johnny." I choked out.

"It's good to have you back home, Sis." Johnny whispered into my hair as he hugged me back. "But let's get you inside before Ink comes out here and manages to beat my ass despite all of his injuries."

When I stepped into the clubhouse with Ghost's arm wrapped around my shoulders, Ink grinned at me as he stood up from his bar stool. He clapped my brother on the back before he wrapped his arms around my waist, pressing a gentle kiss to my lips as he pulled me against him. He looked back at Johnny. "Glad to see you finally pulled your head out of your ass, brother."

"Seeing her fall down the stairs put some shit into perspective for me." Ghost admitted. “I thought we were losing her.” He ruffled my hair. "I'm glad you were able to see she needed you, brother. So, thanks."

Ink nodded his head once at him in understanding before turning his attention back to me. "Why don't you go on upstairs and get a shower, sweet girl?" He asked me. His hands slid down my side to my hips before traveling around to my ass and giving a quick squeeze that had me closing my eyes, my breath hitching in my throat. "I'll come up there once I'm out of church."

I looked up at him, a wicked smirk tilting my lips. "Promise?" I asked quietly.

Ink groaned softly, tugging me up hard against him, letting me know just how hard he was for me. "You've got my word." He promised.

With a flirtatious smile at him, I let myself out of his arms as I turned and headed for the stairs, ignoring Thor's jabs at Ink.

"You can't let the girl rest for a minute before you fuck her into oblivion, brother?" Thor asked.

"I can't wait until you get an old lady so that I can give you so much shit, Thor." Ink told him. "Just you fucking wait, brother."

It had been a few weeks since Reina's trip to the hospital, and everything in the club was mostly back to normal. The girl that didn't have any family ended up coming to stay here at the club house, and Sabotage and Blink were helping her get back on her feet.

I was completely healed, which meant that I was back to doing runs and getting my hands dirty. I knew that it was my job as Road Captain, but I hated having to leave Reina behind. I wanted to spend every damn waking moment with her.

But I still had a duty to my club as long as I wore that cut on my back.

I had also bought a house for Reina and I, giving us a home away from the clubhouse. It was a cute one-story house on one of the back roads in town. It came with six acres of land and a small pond in the backyard. Reina had fallen in love with it the moment I took her out to look at it. The moment she laid her eyes on it, the deal was sealed for me.

I wanted to give her everything she could ever dream of.

I stepped into the club house, my muscles aching as I stretched my legs after riding for so long on the bike. Thor got off his bike at the same time Hatchet did. "Brother, you ever make me ride that long again, and I'll kick your ass, you got me?" Hatchet grumbled.

I rolled my eyes as I took a cigarette out of my pack, lighting it up as I took a much needed drag off of it. I had been gone for a week on this damn run, and I desperately missed my woman. However, I knew she wouldn't be off work for another two hours. She had gotten a job at the library working a couple of days a week, just something to give her a sense of independency. Besides, she loved it. Hell, most of the time that I went to take her food, I found her behind the desk with her nose stuck in a book.

I stepped inside of the club house, rolling my shoulders against the ache in them. "Good to have you back, brother." Sabotage said, clapping me on the back. "You three go get some rest. We'll have church tonight." He ordered.

I sighed in relief as I headed straight for the stairs to the now empty room that used to be mine before I moved out. However, when I opened the door, I was not expecting who was sitting on the bed.

Reina sent me a shy smile from her sprawled position on the bed. She was wearing a black lace bra with a matching thong, thigh high black stockings on her legs that were attached by garters to her thong. Black stiletto pumps graced her feet. Her hair tumbled down around her shoulders in a beautiful, messy disarray.

Fuck, she looked like a goddess.

"Fuck me." I whispered as I drank her in, my dick getting so hard it was painful.

She rested her hand on her slightly round belly, making me even harder. She was the only woman I knew who could make pregnancy look so fucking sexy. She hadn’t even had the little one yet, and I was already picturing her pregnant with another one.

"Welcome home, Ink." She said softly.

With a groan, I took my cut off, tossing it onto the chair in the corner before I tugged my shirt over my head. I heard her sharp intake of breath, and I could practically feel her gaze running over me as if they were her hands.

I quickly stripped the rest of my clothes off and took my cock in my hand, stroking it to try to relieve some of the aching pressure I was feeling.

I kneeled on the bed and crawled over her, tangling a hand in her hair and claiming her lips. She moaned softly underneath me, her hands running over the hard planes of my chest and down my abdomen. "Woman, do you have any fucking idea what you do to me?" I grumbled as I ran my lips down her neck, her breathless moans making it almost impossible not to take her right then and there.

"Ink." She gasped out as I ripped open her lacy bra. I made a mental note to buy her a new set. I groaned as her growing breasts spilled out, her nipples aching for my attention.

I took one tender nipple between my lips, looking up at her from under my lashes. She arched her back into my touch, my name falling from her lips on a breathless sigh. I slid my hand into her panties, groaning against her breasts at how wet she already was for me. Fuck, I loved her body’s reaction to me.

"These have to go." I groaned as I tugged at the band, wanting her bare beneath me.

I ripped her panties off of her. She sucked in a sharp breath of air as she watched me lick my lips appreciatively. She was fucking glistening.

With a wicked grin thrown her way, I lifted her hips up to my lips, burying my face against her pussy as I slid my tongue between her folds. She jerked against my face, her nails digging into my thighs.

  Welcome fucking home, indeed.

I groaned as I pulled my pillow over my head as someone started banging on the room door. "Go away!" I gruffly shouted.

"Ink, man, you're fucking late for church!" Scorpion barked through the door.

"Ink, you need to get up." Reina said softly from next to me.

I grunted as I wrapped my arm under her breasts, tugging her back towards me as I buried my face in her hair. "Ignore him. He'll go away." I mumbled, not wanting to leave her side yet.

The door burst open just as I finished speaking. "Fuck!" I r
oared, jumping out of bed, sending my fist flying against Scorpion's face. "Get the fuck out!" I shouted at him.

Reina clutched the blanket to her chest. "Fuck, man, sorry. I didn't know -"

  "GET OUT!" I roared.

Scorpion stumbled back out of the room, and I slammed the door shut back behind him. I looked at Reina, clenching my jaw. "Sorry about that, sweet girl." I grumbled.

She laughed softly. "Thank God you weren't in the middle of fucking me." She pointed out.

Just the thought of another man seeing any part of my woman made rage rush through my veins. She got up from the bed and wrapped her arms around my waist, pressing her frame against me. I groaned softly as her soft breasts pressed against my chest, her hard belly pressing into my own abdomen. I slid my hands around to her back, holding her against me.

She pressed a tender kiss to my chest. "Get dressed and get down to church." She commanded gently as she stepped back from me.

Sighing, I tugged my clothes back on. I pressed a kiss to the top of her head before I left the room, shrugging my cut on as I stepped down the stairs.

I tossed my phone into the bin before I stepped through the meeting room doors, shutting them behind me.

"Nice of you to join us, Ink." Sabotage sarcastically greeted, narrowing his eyes at me.

I only grunted in response and took my seat at the table. "Rock called me this evening while you three were sleeping." Sabotage started. "He got ambushed on his way to his drop location. Lost four men. He's injured. The whole fucking shipment got taken. They don't know who did it. No cuts, no colors, nothing. Faces were covered."

  "Fuck." Thor grumbled.

"I'll get in touch with Judge, let him know what's going on." I told Sabotage. "He should be pretty understanding - at least that's what I'm hoping. But he's not going to be happy. We're going to owe him big for this shit."

Sabotage nodded. "I figured. Get in touch with him as soon as you can. In the meantime, I want everyone to fucking lay low, you got me? No unnecessary bar fights. Keep to your fucking selves until we can figure out who the fuck is trying to sabotage the Savage Crows, you got me?"

We all nodded our consent. "Church adjourned. Remember to keep your fucking eyes and ears wide the fuck open and be alert."

We all stood up, and I grabbed my phone out of the bin, pulling up Judge's number. "I was waiting on your call, Ink." Judge said when he answered.

"I'm guessing you heard." I grumbled.

"I've got eyes and ears everywhere, Ink." He reminded me. I knew that all too well. "So, what's the game plan?" He asked. "I no longer have the shit I promised to someone else. This puts me in a bad fucking place, Ink."

"I'll talk to Sabotage tomorrow." I told him. "Find out what he wants to do. I'll get with you once I find out."

  "Make it quick.” He ordered.

He hung up, and I sighed, rubbing my beard that I had started to grow out. Reina walked up to me in a pair of leggings that show cased her curves and a tank top, the swells of her breasts peeking out from it. She had gained weight in the recent weeks, and fuck if her curves didn’t turn me on.

"Everything alright?" She asked me softly.

"Club business." I grumbled as I drew her soft body into my arms, leaning down to press a quick kiss to her lips.

She sighed, hating that answer, but knowing as my old lady, it was the only answer she would receive. I pressed a tender kiss to her temple. "Let's head home, sweet girl. I'm fucking beat."

I turned the bike off at the same time Reina turned her SUV off. She stepped out of the SUV and met me at the porch, her hand sliding into mine instantly. I looked up towards the house and jerked her to a halt, narrowing my eyes at my front door.

A circle with an A had been spray painted on my front door. "Stay here." I told her as I strode over to my bike, pulling my other gun out of its spot under my seat. I thrust it into her hands She stared at the gun in her hands with slightly terrified eyes. "Get back in the SUV and get back to the clubhouse." I told her.

  "Ink -"

"Reina, don't fucking argue with me right now." I snarled at her, making her flinch back from me. I sighed, gripping her shoulders, not wanting her afraid of me, but I needed her to fucking listen. "Reina, just trust me -"

"Ink!" She screamed at the same time glass shattered behind me.

"Fuck, Reina, get down!" I shouted, throwing both of us to the ground, covering her body with mine as her SUV exploded.

It was organized chaos inside of the club house when Ink led me inside, my hand wrapped in his. He was tense, and I could tell that Ink was in a destructive mood. Ink in a destructive mood was something extremely dangerous and volatile.

"Scab, Volt!" Ink roared as he stepped inside. "You two fucking follow her like her fucking shadow until I give orders otherwise, you got me?" Ink snarled as they walked over to us. "I don't want one fucking hair out of place on her head." He turned to me, his tone softening the slightest bit, but I could still see hear the fury lacing his voice as he spoke to me. "Don't leave this clubhouse. Don't go upstairs. I want you out in this bar room, understand? If something goes down, I need to be able to quickly reach you.”

Knowing better than to argue with him when he was like this, I just nodded. "I'll be right here." I assured him, leaning up to press a kiss to his lips.

He wrapped his arms around me instantly, deepening the kiss as he lifted me slightly so that I was standing on the tips of my toes. When he pulled back, he sighed, his eyes running over my face. "I'm going to fix all of this, Reina. No one fucks with my family and gets away with it." He swore as he pressed a kiss to my forehead and released me, turning towards the other men in the room.

"Did you see anyone?" Sabotage demanded of Ink.

"Not a fucking soul." Ink said. "They fucking marked my goddamn door. Angels of Hell."

  "Mother fuck!" Sabotage roared.

"Can't be fucking right." Grim spoke up. "We made a fucking truce with them almost a year ago now. We haven't done anything to break that truce."

I couldn't pinpoint why the Angels of Hell sounded so familiar, but they did, and it irked my nerves that I couldn’t remember why. "You look like you know something." Grave spoke up, looking at me.

"They just sound familiar." I admitted.

"You figure out why they sound familiar, you let one of us know." Grave told me.

I nodded at him in answer. Feeling tired, I took a seat in one of the chairs at the closest table to me, sighing softly. Izzy set a steaming cup of tea in front of me, taking a seat next to me. "Tiring, right?" She asked me as the men moved into the chapel.

I nodded, reaching up to rub my temples. "I could have died today." I admitted, my heart knocking painfully in my chest at that realization.

Izzy rested her hand on mine as I let my hands fall back to the table. "Ink would never let anything happen to you, Reina. I know he can't tell you what happens in the club, even if it involves you, but just know that this club - it's family. And these men protect their family." She softly reminded me.

I let my eyes meet hers, seeing complete honesty residing in their depths. "You know from experience?" I asked her softly.

She nodded. "I come from my own hell, Reina. And Blink promised me protection within his walls. And not a damn thing has happened to me since. Blink also has a wife with two kids. Not a damn thing has happened to them either."

The doors to the chapel suddenly reopened. "Lock this shit down!" Sabotage barked. "Hatchet and Grave - you two take the first shift for guard. Blink, get your wife and kids here. No one is leaving these fucking grounds. Do I make myself clear?"

Izzy sighed. "Sabotage, I have work at the diner tomorrow -"

"I'll talk to Bobby." He told her, cutting her off. "You're not leaving these grounds. Do I make myself clear?"

She sighed but nodded. Jessa came down the stairs, rubbing her eyes as she yawned. She perked up when she saw me, coming over to our table. "What's going on?" She asked, looking at all the agitated men
in the room.

"Lock down." Izzy told her, and then proceeded to inform her of what it meant to be under lock down.

My eyes met Ink's from across the room. He replied to whatever Scorpion said to him, his eyes not leaving mine. I felt a slight nudge in my belly, and I gasped, ripping my eyes from his as I placed my hands on my belly, a small smile tilting my lips as I looked down at my stomach, desperate to feel another kick from my baby.
