He’d heard other teammates tell him that when their baby had been born, it changed them forever. Now Gray understood. It was too early to tell what color Emma’s eyes would be. Or even who she would look more like. Gray would bet his paycheck that Emma would become a spitting image of Sky in every way. She already had Sky’s ginger hair. With a smile, he watched Emma’s tiny little arms slow down. And finally, Emma relaxed, her tiny bow-shaped mouth releasing Sky’s nipple, sound asleep. He felt Sky take a deeper breath, but she remained fast asleep in his arms, too.
It would never get better than this. Not ever.
