It was a magnificent, awe inspiring sight.

Far below, from a city of mirrored spires on an island off the western coast of the continent, a subtle motion caught Emily’s eye; three craft—large spheres of shimmering pearlescence—left the ground and ascended quickly skyward, rising to meet the child-traveler who had journeyed so very far to find them.

  Emily Baxter...smiled.

  THE END

  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Well, it’s taken us a few years to reach it, but here we are, at the end of Emily’s adventures. As with every book before this one, it’s been a joint effort to bring her story to print, so I’d like to take a few more seconds of your time and acknowledge the people who helped make this happen.

First and foremost, I have to thank my wife for her guidance with some of the toughest parts of this book, and for helping me shape the story. Next is my editor Karen Boehle-Johnson who, once again, brought her keen eye for spelling and grammatical mistakes to bear on the manuscript, along with her uncanny ability to spot plot holes and inconsistencies.

Now it’s my beta-readers turn for some recognition: April Taylor; Kelly Graffis; Rosemary Gaskell; Mathew Carter, and Britanny Grossman. My thanks to all of you.

  And then there’s you.

Thank you for spending your time in Emily’s world, I truly hope that you have enjoyed the adventure. This series wouldn’t have happened without your affection for the characters.

Oh yeah, and make sure you stick around; I have a new series coming out that I’m sure you’ll enjoy, with lots of new characters, and one or two that you might have met before.

  Don’t be a stranger…
