She couldn’t get enough. Tears burned behind her lids as she had lived with the belief this ecstasy was never meant for her. She would have lived her whole life without knowing the gratification of bonding. Connecting to one particular male. This mysterious male.

Her body gained another release at the same time she felt the warm thick cream of his essence showering within her.

Both of them were still breathing heavy when he pulled away then rolled her to her back. His features were still elusive, and shadowed as he stretched above her.

The fire in her blood was still roaring.

He grazed the side of her face with the back of his knuckles. His stare was potent even through the dim light. “I am Kesh T’en of Hyath.”

She licked her lips, swollen and tender from their passionate kisses. “Cyran.” Purposefully, she left off where she was from. She still was unclear of who this fine specimen of maleness was and why was he there in her gardens.

If she wanted anything right now, she wished for the lights to reach this far in the field or for the sun to be up so that she could see this warrior and not just feel and hear him.

“You know this night is not yet done? There is much I need to discuss with you. Until this…this…”

She could feel the tension in his body and hesitance in his words as he attempted to determine what to call the situation. “Heat.”

“Heat.” His voice reflected his acceptance of her description. Kesh’s hand touched her face, moved over her lips in a whisper of caress as if he were trying to map out her features as a sightless male would. His hand continued a path along her neck.

She sighed and squirmed beneath him. His big, strong hands were turning her mind to jelly and her body to a wound string in need of plucking.

When he cupped one of her breasts she cried out. His nail scraped over the crest of her peak. She arched against him as she wrapped her legs around his waist. “I need you, Kesh. The ache is strong, painful.” She buried her hands in the cool, long, straight strands of his hair as she dragged him down to her. “Help. Ease it.”

“My pleasure. For I suffer with you.” He took her tip into his mouth and sucked. His tug was not soft but hard as the male himself. He drew on the nipple and pressed it toward the roof of his mouth before allow it to pop out from between his lips loud. He bowed his head again and his teeth sank around the bottom.

It sparked waves through her body. She reached a hand between them and grasped his heavy, long shaft. Stroking it, she said, “I need this. I need you, Kesh.” Saying his name was like a perfect melody on her tongue.

She wasn’t just speaking out of desire, there was something elementally about her connection to this stranger.

“I would never keep you waiting, Cyran.” He lifted his head and kissed her lightly on the lips as he cupped her ass in his hands and allowed her to angle his crown to her before he slid in.

Her body was demanding for him to just take her as he had done before, but she relished the delicious slow entry and savored every inch he gave her. Once this fever abated, she would send him away. She didn’t need any complications in her life. This midnight male that turned her body on her toes was definitely that.

Clutching his back, she rotated her hips and tried to walk gradually into the tempest. However, it wasn’t to be had. With each tender thrust, her hunger for him grew, intensified. The muscles of his back bunched, tightened, evidence he was working hard at restraint.

Raising her head, she licked the side of his neck before sinking her teeth into the tendon there.

He roared, his groan filling the air. “Can’t hold back. This ride will be hard, star princess, join me.”

Hearing him call her star princess gave her pause, but not enough to stop her body from responding to his hard, pounding thrusts.

She brought her feet down, buried her heels in the dirt for leverage and took him as much as he was fucking her. They headed for paradise, burning up any and everything in their path.

Kesh took hold of her hand and pulled them high over her head. He linked their fingers together and pressed them into the soil as he rocked his hips at the perfect angle that had her sex quivering, milking his cock.

Her energy was so high, things were shifting and changing around them. Roots grew up out of the ground and wrapped around their wrists. Leaves stretched and folded over their bodies like a cloak—a cocoon of pleasure.

It was just her and Kesh in the cave of vegetation.

As everything responded around them, she wasn’t sure if he even noticed the happenings as he never stopped pistoning into her.

She didn’t care if he did, as long as he didn’t stop driving into her. Ever.

  Chapter Five

Dawn broke with them still in the field and the female’s form sprawled on top of him. He wasn’t sleep and neither was she. Shortly before Sol, the Earth’s sun, had crest the horizon his body had finally kept more of a hum of desire for the female compared to the madness to mate with her that had overtaken his mind and body. Through the night, something had happened, changed, connected them in some way.

He frowned, trying to figure out how he’d ended up in this moment. Nothing like this had ever happened to him before. He’d always been very focused when it came to hunting down his bounty, and Cyran was not the first female he had been sent after. So why her?

  “We need to talk—”

“I think it is time for you to go.” Cyran sat up. She started looking around the area where they had been all night as if she was looking for anything, but him.

He sat up beside her. Seeing the materials that had been her clothing, he picked it up and handed it to her. “We will talk.”

Growling low when she saw the torn fabric, she gave him a hard look. “Sorry. I am busy for the foreseeable future.” She made quick work of tying the clothing around her perky full breasts and the other at her hips.

A groan rose in his throat as he looked up at her thick curves in the light. She had a voluptuous shape like he enjoyed. As a big man, with beast like traits in his line from his father, it took the right size woman to take the loving style he gave. Cyran had taken his roughness like she was born for him. He shook that thought away.

This female was breathtaking. Even more so than she had been in the image that only showcased her face. She had eyes so green they could have been grown among the plants in the garden. There was long wavy dark hair that cascaded down her back. He recalled fisting that length as she rode above him and he brought her mouth down to his for a kiss.

Thinking of one of many kisses he’d shared with her through the night, Kesh stared at her plump lips. They were red and swollen, beautiful. Her mouth, like the rest of her body had been marked by him.

She got to her feet. “I have to pull these vegetables and till this plot. Up and away.” She started toward one of the structures without a glance back at him, as if she just expected him to follow her instructions.

Evidently, she did not know him or his kind very well.

He got up and dressed quick then stomped after her. Catching up with her as she entered a wide door. He reached out and took hold of her arm to stop her. “We will—”

Cyran’s counter came unexpected. She threw her body toward him hard and shoved her hands into his chest as if to knock him back.

He was a warrior before he was a bounty hunter and one of the best on his planet, winning competitions. When her body met his, he twisted and stepped bring them against the side of the structure with Cyran in between.

Cyran gasped. Her eyes wide with shock.

One side of his mouth curled upwards and he didn’t try to hide his satisfaction.

“Let go of me, male.” She struggled in the small space.

“Kesh. You had no problems remembering it in your screams.”

Her mouth tightened. “Evidently, a female is prone to insanity during calori series.”

  He frowned. “A what series?”

  “Release me. There ar
e things I need to do. When I am free at some point, maybe I will find you in town for an outing.”

“There will be no outing. You must come with me.”

She tried to push him again. “What is with you. I know you maybe new to Magic…Earth. Things are done differently here than…” She waved a hand in the small space between them. “Whatever planet you are from.”

  “Hyath.”

Her shoulder lifted and lowered. “No matter. Now, please move. She hit him hard with a fist to his side.

He grunted. More from surprise of her quick punch.

Cyran used the opening to wiggle out.

Her saucy round ass swung from side to side as she started up a set of stairs on the outside of the building.

He heard the sound of a few different engines even though he did not see any vehicles yet.

“Cyran, I am Kesh T’en and I have been contract to retrieve you and return you to King Rasp.”

  She tripped.

Immediately, he was there beside her.

His assistance was unneeded or warranted evidently as she jerked away from him. Her eyes were wide and her gaze filled with fear.

The urge to take draw her into his arms and protect her assailed him. He restrained himself. This day was different than the night and he needed to work hard on resisting her.

“Contracted. What are you space police or something?” She folded her arms over her breasts.

  “No. A hunter for hirer.”

An odd sound came out of her mouth as her eyes rolled. “Was part of your job for you to,” she paused. “Be with me?”

The thought her words evoked turned his stomach. “No, Cyran. That was something beyond…” My control, he thought, but because it was not his kinds habit to voice weakness, physical or otherwise, he kept those last words to himself. Since last night was unexplainable, he really didn’t want to discover it was some defect in his gene.

“It is no matter. I have an assignment and I will carry it out.”

“As they say on Earth ‘good luck with that’.” She ran up to a door and entered.

Dragging a hand through his hair he wanted to growl, but kept his emotions at bay. Stomping up behind her, he entered the dwelling. It was small but orderly. Not many things were there but a table and long chair. Looking from left to right he didn’t see Cyran.

He heard a noise coming from a hallway and proceeded in that direction. When he entered, he froze. She stood before him bare, with the exception of a wisp of fabric that hardly covered her beckoning ass, as she stepped into the leg of trousers. Heat infused his body and began to pour lava rivers into his cock as his gaze caressed every bare inch.

“Don’t even think about it, hunter male.” She put her other foot into the pant hole and drug them up her legs quickly.

  “It’s Kesh.”

She did the thing where her shoulder went up and down again. He wasn’t sure what that gesture was supposed to mean, but he was starting not to like it. Not at all.

“You will come with me.” He looked around and saw a bed and cabinet only in that room. “If you need time to gather some things, I will wait. However, as it is, I have taken more time than usual to complete a job.”

“You will have to drug me and tie me up to get me off this planet and back in that…that horrible king’s presence.” She went into a drawer and removed a top and snatched that garment over her head.

“It is not my job to judge my client, princess.” Of course most of his assignments had to do with finding those who had committed a crime against someone, not something like this.

“I’m not a princess.” She visibly swallowed as if fighting emotions. “She died with the rest of my people.” Sturdy foot coverings were the next thing she put on.

  “I am sorry, however—”

She pointed a finger at him. “No, however. That is the kind of client you work for.” That’s when he spotted a tear sliding out of one of her eyes and her voice became thick. “King Rasp killed everyone, just for—”

When her voice broke he filled in that end. “You.” He felt sick in his core. Perhaps he should have asked a few more questions before agreeing.

“Yes, me.” She swiped at the water trail on her cheek. “It was a mistake.” Her head was turned toward the window and she stared at garden from the center of the room.

Beyond the window he could see people in the fields with large crates in hand as they went up and down the rows appearing to check the planets.

“What was a mistake?” His spine tightened and the hair on the back of his neck started to raise. Something in him screamed he wasn’t going to like what was coming.

“King Rasp’s commander grabbed the wrong person.” Her gaze captured his when she faced him. “He thinks I am a Harveton princess. I was her attendant. A defective female placed in the occupation of royal service, my only usefulness.”

Defective? His gaze scanned her form, nothing seeming wrong with her or out of place.

“Did you tell the king this?”

“I tried.” She walked passed him and headed out of the room. “Like all males he doesn’t listen.”

He followed her into the other room. “I will.”

She shook her head, as if denying his words. “It didn’t matter anyway. He’d destroyed everything I cared about and was planning to force a-a…” She looked back at him with her lips pressed together.

“A what?” He folded his arms over his chest and arched an eyebrow, waiting.

“Calori series. What he didn’t know with his sickening drugs,” she placed a hand on her stomach as is she didn’t feel right. “You can’t force a series to happen.”

Out the door she went and back down the stairs. When she made it to ground level, she called out greetings to those in the field.

From what Kesh could tell they were all varied species that worked the land.

He put a hand on her shoulder and stopped her. “What is a series?”

She turned toward him and exhaled. “With my people most females go in and out of their calori series or heat cycle.”

  “Heat cycle?”

“We also call it a mate lure. It is a strong pull, attraction that only a female’s mate can be drawn too. Unmated females are kept away from males during this time. It is said that when the calori series happens it can drive a female insane to be around males and unable to have her lust satisfied.” She glanced away from him. “That is what is taught.” Looking back at him, she continued, “Apparently this is not the truth.”

“Is this your witch’s trickery that you cast on me in the night?”

“That had to be something different. I can’t explain why it happened. If I was not defective I would only be able to respond to my mate.” She waved a hand up and down his body. “You are no Harveton mate.”

“It had to be you’re doing. I would have never broken a rule to involve myself with a contract bounty.”

She threw her hand up and let them drop back down with a slap as she stomped off grumbling about insufferable males.

Getting tired of trailing after her, he called out, “Cyran halt.”

She stopped in her tracks, however, the look she had on her face when she turned to him made him send up a quick hope that she didn’t have slaying abilities.

Moving toward him, she lowered her voice. “Listen hunter warrior. I do not take orders from anyone.”

“Then stop walking away. You have run far enough and it is time for you now to come back with me and plead your cause. Make Rasp see reason.” Kesh doubted the king had a reasonable ounce in his big, cumbersome form. However, he’d been given over half to get the female and he’d never gone back on his word. Besides his people needed the funds.

“He can’t and I won’t. So, get back to your vessel or however you arrived here and warp speed back out, Kesh.”

“Eboni bring my ship,” he spoke into his wrist unit. He’d had enough.

Cyran glanced back at him with a frown as she began yank
ing out the green plant from the field where that had lain and fucked. She tossed it by handfuls onto the ground.

His body ignited and he thought about laying her down and taking her again, no caring that there were other people about.

“You are coming with me, Cyran. I will hear no more argument.”

“Then you’re going to get a fight.” She placed her hands on her hips.

He approached her, intending to take hold of her and carry her to the ship when it landed.

However, one second she was before him and the next she was gone. The spot she had stood on was empty. The plants that had been under her feet were slowly straightening back up, proof she had once been right there.

Glancing from left to right, then turning around to see if she was behind him somehow he found her nowhere.

As he stood there puzzled, questioning where she had disappeared to, a swelling ache started in his gut. Just as it had done last night when he was led here to this plot of land. The only difference between the first time was that this one was more intense and powerful. Trusting his instinct, even when he was left with more questions, he still pivoted toward the second larger structure than the one Cyran had been in.

At the door of the place, he kicked it open knowing with every fiber of his being that Cyran was inside. Bursting in he found her curled up on the floor and appearing hurt and weak while some male crouched before her.

The male glanced at him. “Interesting. You located her quick.”

Kesh didn’t even care to decipher what he was saying. He became enraged and couldn’t think about anything but killing the male who hurt Cyran. He sprinted toward the male and hauled him up by his throat and slammed him in into the wall. Kesh’s hand around his neck started to squeeze.

“I’ll end you!” Kesh punched a fist into the structure beside the man’s head as he continued to hold him. “What did you do to her?”

Coughing and spewing, the male grabbed his wrist with one hand and attempted to remove the pressure from his throat.

“Kesh…don’t hurt him.” Cyran’s voice came out weak behind him.
