My editor, Bryon Quertermous; thank you for patiently indoctrinating me to the professional side of authoring a book. Your angelic patience in helping me navigation adapting 10 scripts into a novel was (and will be) invaluable in my journey forward. I realize now, after having written two more novels in the time this has taken to release to the world, that I did you no favors. Yet you were patient, direct when I needed it, and were invaluable in making this transition a wonderful learning experience.

To Susan Kaye Quinn; there are no words to express how I feel about what you’ve done to help me grow as a writer. To think of listing the skills, insights, and attributes I’ve gained over the past year of knowing you would be a monumental undertaking. If the world were full of people like you, who gave before asking, what a wonderful world it would be. Thank you for always giving of yourself to make the lives of others better. You showed me that the impossible was possible.

To all of the wonderful people who took time out of life to help me proof this adaptation and taught me how to spell: Matt Spalding, Natalie Aked, Brent Moody, Elsa Howarth, Patrick Mangano, Derek Brown, Michael Sieber, Claudia Elvidge, Eric Thomas, Nashia Horne, Sandy Smith, Brian Ross, Melissa Bartell, Melissa Taylor, Louis Jackson, Jonathan Tindell, M. Dillon Hickmon, and Alexa Chipman; thank you for helping me launch this the right way. I’m grateful for your selflessness.

And, of course, to the hundreds of thousands of you who have listened to one of my audio dramas and find yourself holding this book in your hands. We may never cross paths, I may never come to know your name behind a download statistic, but my gratitude to you is ever-lasting. You’re the ones out there making sure my audio drama stays present. You’re the people telling your friends about my shows. You’re the ones championing my stories on social media. I hope these stories bring joy to your world in whatever small way they can. Thank you!
