Friends With Extra Benefits Page 17

While shaking his leg nervously, he watched the jury begin to make their way from the room. Josh glanced down at his lap and suddenly became concerned about the logistics of getting out of the courtroom while sporting a huge bulge in his pants.

After the jury had filed out, Jillian, Brian, and Stanley stood and began leaving the room. Natalie glared at Jillian. Josh held his briefcase in front of his groin as he followed his client toward the hall.

Josh and Natalie slipped into a conference room, and she pushed him hard against the door. He held his briefcase in one hand as he stared down at her, half never more excited in his life and half scared to death.

“She really blew it,” Natalie said with a bright smile.

“I know. Her attorney probably is doing damage control right now.”

Running her fingers over the bulge in his suit pants, she said, “You were amazing in there.”

  “Thanks.” He nodded shyly.

“Now I’m going to show you how amazing I can be.”

She slipped to her knees as her eyes locked on the currently swelling area. Grinning, she pulled down his zipper and reached in to grab his penis. She pulled it through his fly and slowly massaged it while she licked her lips.

Natalie held it at the base as she stared up at his face and whispered, “You’re never going to forget this.”

  “Uh-huh,” Josh stammered.

Staring back down at his growing manhood, she opened her mouth slowly and blew her hot breath over him. Natalie extended her tongue teasingly, almost to his head, but stopped short of licking it.

He held his breath as he waited desperately for her to begin. She blew on it once more before taking him into her mouth.

  “Oh, fuck,” he moaned.

She gave it all she had, and he was more than rewarded for his courtroom performance. With her enthusiasm in high gear, it didn’t take long, and when she finished him, he slumped against the door, struggling to recover.

Jillian, Brian, and Stanley Parrish were walking out of conference room B just as Natalie and Josh entered the hall. After adjusting her skirt, Natalie looked up to see Jillian glaring at her. Natalie grinned as the groups approached each other down the long corridor. As they moved closer, Stanley put a supportive hand on Jillian’s shoulder.

“Where’s your son? Is he too scared to testify?” Natalie quipped.

Moving to Natalie, Jillian got right in her face. “If you’ve done something to him, I’ll…” Brian rushed to Jillian and pulled her away.

Natalie glared at Jillian. “I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.” She looked at Brian. “Better keep that crazy bitch away from me.”

Josh pulled Natalie aside, and they continued down the hall as Jillian pressed her body close to Brian. She said softly, “Jesus, I think I’m losing it.” After talking a deep breath, she said, “Rob might be a lot of things, but he’s never late. He would have called.”

“Natalie’s nuts, but you don’t really think she could—”

“No.” Narrowing her eyes she considered the possibility. Then she bit her lip and looked Brian in the eye.” I don’t know, but I just have a bad feeling about this.”

“I’ll try to call him again,” Brian replied.

  “Okay, okay. Yes, please—”

  “Jillian, they’re waiting,” Stanley interrupted.

Glancing at Stanley with tears forming in her eyes, she nodded. Josh and Natalie stood waiting for the elevator at the end of the hall. Natalie stared back, grinning at Brian.

Jillian turned to Brian. “Call him now. I’ll meet you back here in a few minutes.”

“I will. Are you going to be okay?”

  “Just find him.”

He returned a supportive look as Jillian turned away. Pulling out his cell phone, Brian headed toward the conference room as Natalie looked on. The elevator doors opened, and Josh and Natalie slipped inside. Her grin widened. She stepped out of the elevator, as Josh watched her, confused. She glanced at him as the doors closed. “I’ll meet you down there.”

Inside the conference room, Brian stood near the far wall with the cell phone to his ear. He listened to Rob’s greeting and then began, “Look, Rob, we haven’t heard from you, and you know… look, Jillian’s worried sick… we both are so—” Just then Natalie slipped into the room. Brian turned and watched as she moved toward him while wearing a sexy yet evil smile.

He pulled the phone from his ear. “What do you want?”

She moved close to him. “It’s not what I want. It’s what you want.”

“What the hell do you mean?”

Placing her hand gently on his chest, Natalie stared into his eyes as she whispered, “You know.”

“Look I’m trying to find Rob. He’s missing, and—”

“Seriously, she thinks…” Natalie scoffed. “I don’t kill men, I please them.” She slowly ran her hand down his chest to his belt and placed a finger on top of the gold buckle.

He took a step back from her.

She smiled. “I know you’re with that old hag just to make me jealous.”

  “You’re out of your mind.”

Natalie began, “I’ll bet she can’t do this.” Turning quickly to face away from him, she went down on her hands, flipped her legs in the air and did a perfect split just a foot from him. Her skirt fell around her midriff and Brian glanced down at the vision of Natalie’s absolutely flawless body, as her legs remained perfectly horizontal to the floor. She wore a tiny thong, and he could clearly see her ass, as it was displayed right in front of him. His eyes went to a large birthmark almost directly between her two private areas. He glanced at it for a moment before averting his eyes to the ceiling.

Without a hint of any struggle in her voice, despite the difficult position she held, she said, “Imagine your cock slipping inside my tight ass while I’m in this position.”

Gazing back down, momentarily sidetracked, Brian stammered, “I, uh, you, uh…”

She flipped back up and moved to him. “Do you know how flexible I am?”

He nodded like a moron with his lips parted and his eyes glassy.

Shaking her head slowly, she began, “I don’t think you do. I can get into a position where you’re actually deep inside me and while you are fucking me…” She placed her hand between his legs and cupped his balls. “I’m curled up and actually licking your balls.”

Brian tried to process this for a moment. “Wow, that sounds, um, impossible. You can really do—”

“Just ask Mitchell Garrett. I did that to him.”

“Your roommate Cindy’s boyfriend?” Brian asked, surprised.

“Oh… yeah. He played hard to get… just like you.”

  “Aren’t they engaged?”

Brian took a step backward, and his body struck the wall.

“Not after I was done with him. He got so hung up on me that he left that chubby thing.”

  “Does she know?”

  “What do you think?”

Brian narrowed his eyes. “You’re a fucking monster. You just make me…”

Slithering up, Natalie pressed her body to his. “When the trial’s over, let’s run away together. You’re the only man I could ever love. I—”

“You’re incapable of loving anyone except yourself.” Brian glared at her.

  She whispered. “That’s not true.”

He slipped away from her and headed around the conference table. He opened the door and shot her a hateful look. “Just stay away from me, you completely freaking insane, delusional freak.”

He rushed down the hall and turned around a corner. Slumping against the wall, he stared at his phone, shook his head, and whispered, “Fuck… Rob where are you?”

His eyes widened, and he dialed another number.

“I’m trying to reach Rob Grayson is he in… Do you, I mean, is there anyone else that can—Wait, is Carl in? It’s Brian Nash. It’s an emergency.”

  A
t Wealth Stone, Carl Rodgers stood staring out the window while nervously rubbing his hands together. The office phone rang. He leaned over and punched the speakerphone button. “Sampson.”

  “No…” Brian replied.

  “Who’s this?”

  “Brian, Brian Nash… Rob’s friend.”

Carl froze as his mind raced. He had almost forgotten about Rob.

  “Carl… Carl?”

Carl moved around the desk and fell into the chair. He looked down at the phone and hit the mute button. After taking a deep calming breath, he hit the mute button again.

“Brian, what’s up?” he said while wearing a fake smile.

  “We’re trying to find Rob.”

“That was some bachelor party, wasn’t it?” Carl asked as he pulled open a drawer, grabbed papers, and tossed them into a box.

“Uh, yeah… Have you seen Rob? He’s not answering his phone, and he’s supposed to be testifying this afternoon in Miami at—”

“No, he, uh, didn’t come in today.”

“Have you seen him at the apartment? Did you see him this morning?”

Carl slammed the drawer shut, stood, and packed more things in the box as Brian repeated the question.

Carl finally answered, “No I didn’t. I’m heading over to the building in a few hours. I could check for you and call you back.”

  “That would be great.”

Laughing for no apparent reason, Carl rushed to file cabinet and made a lot of noise as he searched inside.

Brian said, “Let me give you my number.” He heard nothing but more noise on the other end of the phone. “Carl… Carl, let me give you my number.”

“I, uh, see it right here on my phone. I’m sure Rob’s not in any danger, or you know… He’s probably just banging that hot new girlfriend of his. Have you met her?”

  “No.”

  “She’s smokin’… I’ll get back at ya.”

Brian began, ” Okay, great. I would—”

Carl’s cell phone rang. “Gotta go.”

Carl hit the button to end the call and quickly pulled out his cell. Checking the display, he took a deep breath before answering the call.

  “Do we have a deal?”

  “Tonight at six,” Sampson replied.

Carl cracked his first genuine smile of the day. “You’ll have all the money?”

  “Yes.”

  “Six.”

He ended the call, leaned back in his chair, and exhaled deeply.

Brian stared at his phone with concern before slipping it in his pocket. He stood there shaking his head as Jillian rushed around the corner and spotted him. “There you are. Did you talk to him?”

  “What?”

Jillian asked angrily, “Did you find Rob?”

“Um, no… just got his voice mail again.”

Jillian studied his faraway look. “What’s wrong?”

“I just spoke to Rob’s boss, Carl Rodgers. Something’s not right with that guy. Last time I spoke to Rob, he said was concerned about his job, that Carl might be on drugs and doing something sketchy with the investments. He didn’t give me any details… he had to go to a meeting or something. He said he’d call me back, but he didn’t.”

  “When was this?”

  “Maybe two days ago.”

  “Why didn’t you tell me?”

“You were so busy with the trial, and I didn’t want to worry you.” Brian put a hand on her shoulder, and she moved closer to him. They stared at each other for a moment, both thinking the worst.

“You met the guy; you don’t think he could have done something to Rob, do you?”

“No…” Brian wore a skeptical expression until he saw the concerned look on Jillian’s face. He shook his head and continued, “I mean, no… No way, but I think I’m going to drive to Rob’s apartment and check it out.”

  Jillian nodded.

Brian asked, “Will you be okay?”

  “I think so. Be careful.”

As Brian drove south, court resumed. Natalie searched the room for Brian and was surprised when she could not find him. Josh called a number of character witnesses, who all testified about what a level-headed, sweet, and innocent girl Natalie was. Josh decided against calling Rob or Brian to the stand that day, wanting instead to wait and cross examine them both when they were called to testify for the defense. He felt the trial was going so well for him now, and he clearly had all the momentum. Josh believed this strategy gave him the best chance to make Rob and Brian look like fools on the stand. He was also hoping to wrap up his case by the four o’clock that day and give the jury a favorable opinion of him as they headed home for the weekend.

As Josh Roth was grilling Albert Blair, Jillian’s former agent, Natalie’s mind floated away from the case, and she began thinking of ways to seduce Brian. She stared straight ahead, not paying attention at all as she tried to recall if she had ever seen Brian fully naked and what kind of lover he might actually be.

Mr. Blair mostly told the truth about how he failed to obtain the proper release forms from Natalie and how he failed to inform the publishing company about Miss Brookhart being the inspiration for the character in the book. He claimed he felt that there never was a potential issue with using her likeness, so that’s why he didn’t disclose it. He wasn’t asked if he had been responsible for sending Natalie a copy of the book or inviting her to Jillian’s wedding in St. Barts.

After nearly an hour of questioning from Josh, Stanley took his turn but hardly asked him anything at all. After Albert returned to his seat, the judge asked, “Mr. Roth. Please call your next witness.”

Josh stood. “Your Honor, we have no further witnesses.”

  “So, do the plaintiffs rest?”

  “Yes, Your Honor.”

  “Very well.”

Checking his watch, Judge Maxwell said, “We will resume with the defense Monday at 9:00 a.m.”

As Jillian was walking from the courtroom, Brian pulled into the parking lot of Rob’s apartment complex. He saw a large rental truck backed up to the side of the building. Glancing around, he thought he spotted Carl Rodgers behind the truck before he disappeared through a doorway into the building. He headed that way. Inside, he found Carl dialing the combination into the door to the vault.

  “Carl,” Brian called out.

Carl turned toward him, clutching his chest. “Fuck, you scared me.”

Eyeing the giant safe intently, Brian shook his head in confusion and then turned back to Carl. “Hi. Sorry. Did you get a chance to check Rob’s apartment?”

“What… uh, yeah. He’s not there.”

Brian looked away, thinking as Carl stared back at him, trembling and sweating. Glancing back at him, Brian noticed his condition and asked, “Are you okay?”

“What? Yeah. Sure.” Carl shot back quickly.

“Would you mind if I took a look at his place? His mother is really worried, and maybe I can find a note or his cell phone or something.”

Carl stared at him. A glimmer of a frightening look crossed his face before he painted on a gentle smile. “No problem. We’ll go through the building this way.”

Brian stepped into the middle of the room. After taking a deep breath, Carl hit the button to close the rolling back door. Once the door was closed, he pulled out a gun and pointed it at Brian’s chest.

“What the hell?” Brian stared at him, shocked.

  “Shut the fuck up.”

  “What are you doing?”

Brian stared down at the gun in Carl’s shaking hand. “Hey, I’m just looking for Rob. I don’t care what you’re doing here or—”

Carl shouted, “Shut up and turn around!”

  Brian turned toward the vault.

Jamming the gun into his back, Carl said, “Get against the wall.”

“You don’t have to do this, I—”

  “I said shut up.”

While holding the gun to Brian’s back, Carl dialed in the combination to the s
afe. Brian glanced at him from the corner of his eye as his heart pounded out of his chest. He thought, This deranged lunatic is going to kill me… I’m going to fucking die right here.

Carl messed up the combination and cursed. He pushed the gun harder into Brian’s back and started again. After clearing his throat, Brian began, “Uh, that, uh, bachelor party was amazing, I—”

Carl yelled, “I need to concentrate here! Shut the fuck up or I swear I’ll kill you right here!”

Brian bit his lip nervously as Carl successfully dialed the combination. He pushed down the handle and pulled open the vault. A gold glow shimmered through the door onto Brian’s face, and he titled his head for a better look. As the door opened further, Brian saw the huge stack of gold bars, and his jaw dropped. Next, he looked down at the floor of the safe and spotted a large pair of bare feet. He held his breath.

Pressing the gun to Brian’s back, Carl pulled the safe door open fully. It smashed loudly against the steel wall of the vault.

  “All right, let’s go.”

Rob was ducked down behind a stack of gold, holding a brick in his hand.

Brian said, “I won’t tell anyone about—” Upon hearing Brian’s voice, Rob mouthed the word, “Fuck.” He took a silent deep breath as he contemplated a change in plans.

“I told you to shut up,” Carl shot back.

Carl led Brian into the safe with the gun at his back. As they moved past a stack of gold, they both spotted only Bridget’s lower half sticking out from behind another stack of bricks. Her bikini bottom was off, and her hands and ankles were tied behind her back. Carl stared down at the breathtaking sight of her perfect female curves while wearing a dirty smile, not for a moment wondering where Rob might be.

Watching out of the corner of his eye, Brian saw Rob lunge at Carl while holding a gold brick high above his head. Brian’s expression changed, and Carl noticed. Turning, Carl caught sight of the danger and attempted to duck out of the way as Rob swung down. The brick caught Carl in the head, hard, but a little off the mark. He staggered woozily as the brick flew out of Rob’s hand and skidded across the floor.
