Hidden Chances: The Complete Collection Page 8

“I don't care what he said,” her eyes flashed with heat and rage. “If this is the last time I'm going to see you, I'm going to give you something to remember.”

And there were no more arguments to make. Anne took Julia's pants off and tugged at her underwear, Julia was completely naked on the woman's couch and couldn't stop trembling as her kisses continued.

“You've got the most beautiful, perfect breasts,” Anne kissed her in a sweet circle, starting at her cleavage and working to the underneath curve, her tongue moving along the sensitive fold of skin and winding up to Julia's pointed nipple, bathing her in the same mesmerizing movements, back and forth. Julia felt the gush of her wetness slide from inside to the couch underneath her.

“Let me touch your sweet pussy, honey,” Anne's magical fingers slid between Julia's swollen lips and easily found her clitoris, pounding for attention and Julia heard the moan escape her as soon as Anne touched her.

“You're going to miss my fingers,” Anne said before capturing her other nipple with the tips of her teeth, “and my tongue,” she laughed wickedly before proving it with another lap.

“Yes, I am,” Julia was caught somewhere between passion and misery. The thought of having her right now was almost too much and the thought of never having her again was too painful. She watched as Anne moved down her body, her mouth caressing Julia's belly, her hips, working her way down her thighs, her fingertips making every inch come alive and every breath was ragged with her want.

“Are you sure you want to do this?”

Anne knew exactly what she was doing. It was exquisite torture. Julia watched her lover's face approaching the sweet spot between her thighs that had always wanted her attention from the first moment that they had touched hands.

“You can't do this to me,” Julia moaned and her hands reached out to grab Anne, not knowing if she were going to try to push her away or pull her down on her pussy right that minute. “I do love him, but I love you too…” Another tear escaped and she felt her chin quiver.

“You can still love him,” Anne bent her head and kissed her mound. Her lips were so hot and Julia was so needy. She pushed her hips up to her lover to beg for more, “and you can still love me,” Anne moved her lips down one lip and then up the other. “Everything can be exactly the same as it was,” her tongue slid up Julia's slit and there were no more words.

“Oh God, please,” Julia gasped for breath, grinding her hips to meet her lover's tongue, pushing up against her tongue and moving to her rhythm. “I thought about you last night…” her confession was spilling out like her juices.

“I think about you all the time,” Anne whispered between laps at her slick flesh, “you're the best lover I've ever had.” She started to suck on Julia's hard bud and her tongue made a circle around her swelling and drew Julia to a hot, vibrating point the way she had the first night and every time since then.

“Anne,” Julia whispered her lover's name again and again as trembled on the verge of her first orgasm.

The wet noises of Anne's mouth pressed against her grew louder and louder. Her lover knew her body so well. She felt one last shiver as she climaxed, pushing her sweetness into Anne's mouth with a loud cry.

“I'm cumming for you, oh baby, yes…” She had come undone and a torrent of her release entered Anne's mouth and she could hear her lover drink and swallow and drink some more. Every bit of her cream tore from her and the waves of pleasure came faster and faster before they receded.

“Julia, you can't leave me,” Anne whispered before kissing her softly again and again with her sticky lips.

“Please stop,” Julia sat up, her hands over her eyes. She couldn't look at her right now. “You're making it worse.”

“I'm sorry, I just don't want to lose you,” Anne continued her feather-light kisses as she started to undress. Julia felt her hands move on their own, she wanted to see her body too much to resist. Anne's top was off, her nipples as hard as ever, they needed her mouth and the shorts were tossed behind her, Anne wasn't wearing any panties and Julia could smell her heat and her sex and knew that her lover would be soaking wet and slide along her tongue.

“I don't want to lose you either, but,” Julia reached out and her fingers sunk into her velvety skin, “I made a promise.”

“Okay, I'll accept your wishes,” Anne looked almost inconsolable, but she shook her head no, “I really do want you to be happy.”

  “I know…”

Julia drew her lover near for what would be the last time and the two made love. Julia on top of Anne, her face buried in Anne's snatch, she tasted her sweet orgasms again and again as their hips moved in time. Julia had lost track of time. All she knew was that every inch of her body was spent by the time she struggled to sit up, out of breath and shaking. She knelt on the cushion and stared at the woman that had changed everything for her.

“Oh love, you are so sweet,” Anne knew it was over and they held on tight, kissing each other with damp lips. Julia could hear her lover's heart beat under her ear and she wondered if it felt as broken as her own.

“Thank you for everything,” Julia said as she got dressed. It felt awkward, as if this woman didn't know her better than anyone else. “I mean,” she held up her hands; there were really no words. “I will always love you.”

“So am I invited to the wedding at least?” Anne smirked as she opened the door, still naked; she had never cared who saw her.

“Of course you are,” Julia said it before thinking about what David would say to that, but decided that she had already compromised far more than he had.

The tears were still there but Julia held them back as she made her way home, sniffling and swallowing, she knew that her heart would heal, she knew that Anne wasn't ready for anything more and she knew that David loved her. She just didn't know how long it would take to move on. She wondered if the fantasies would ever go away.

It was late by the time she walked through the door and David was in the kitchen.

“Hi, honey. How was your day?”

Julia walked toward him, arms open. The last thing she wanted to do was tell the truth but she was tired of the lies. Lying had been the source of it all. She melted into tears once her head was on his chest.

  “Baby, what's wrong?”

He threw the towel over his shoulder and cradled her head against him. His strong hands in her hair felt good and she looked up and tried to smile.

“It's stupid. I just told Anne that it was over. I don't know why I'm so sad,” she shook her head as if to say it was really nothing.

“No, Julia, I know,” he kissed her forehead softly and looked in her eyes, “I know you cared about her. Of course you did.”

She wanted to say yes but nothing came out when she opened her mouth.

“I appreciate you doing it though and I'll make sure that you're never sorry, my love.”

Julia suddenly remembered that her lips would taste of Anne and pulled away. She was afraid that the lies were never going to go away.

“I'm going to go take a bath,” she pulled away and closed the bathroom door behind her, drew a tub and looked at herself in the mirror when she was naked. Her fingers traced all of the places that Anne's lips had been, along her neck, down her chest, out to her nipples. Everywhere had been marked as if she belonged to Anne and when she closed her eyes, all she could see was her lover's dark hair, the back of her head as she moved her lips along every soft curve.

That night, she and David didn't make love. She told him that she was tired and he patted his chest, indicating that she should curl up with her head there and his arm was around her shoulders.

“I love you, you know that, right?” he asked.

“Yes, David, I know.” She had stopped crying hours before but her eyes were still swollen and her throat was hoarse. “And I love you too.”

“Just remember that,” he said and it sounded as if, perhaps, he knew far more than he said.

; It had gotten easier over the last few months. Julia had been so busy between work and planning the wedding, all the endless details that she never imagined she would need to know. Sometimes days passed where she realized that she hadn't thought of Anne even once. Gradually it had become a week at a time. Anne had been true to her word and never texted her. Her response to the wedding invitation indicated that she was bringing Michael; that had been their only contact.

Julia realized that it was all for the best and would look over at David occasionally with a little smile that she couldn’t explain. It was almost the best thing that she had ever done, really, because it had brought them together and made him a far better lover.

The week of the wedding, David announced his plan.

“We shouldn't have sex until our wedding night. It will be even better then.”

“Are you sure you can hold out for six whole days?” Julia raised one eyebrow as if to tell him that she knew he'd cave.

“I can if you can,” he winked back. Even with all of the planning, he had been sweet and playful and seemed to be grateful that she had stayed after all.

“You're on then,” she shook his hand as if it were a bet and sauntered off. Teasing him unmercifully would keep her busy enough to ignore the pre-wedding jitters.

  *****

She was alone in the room, in her wedding gown, veil on. Julia's heart was thudding and her stomach was flipping, and she had no idea why. David was going to be a great husband. The last few months had been perfect. She couldn't ask for anything else. She cleared her throat and sat down on the stool. Every bride feels like this, she reminded herself. She would feel better once the ceremony was over and there was no more planning.

There was a knock at the door.

“David, you can't see me yet,” she giggled.

  “It's not David.”

The woman's voice was familiar and if there was anything that could make her heart race faster, it was that woman.

“Come in…” She didn't know if Anne would hear because she could barely whisper.

The door creaked as she opened it and there was her beautiful ex-lover. Tall and lean, she looked perfect in the black, fitted dress. Her long, black hair was free and her mouth was red and Julia could see every kiss they'd ever shared flip through her mind as she watched Anne approach slowly.

“Is this okay? I just wanted to say hi before your big day,” Anne looked as if she were just as nervous as she.

“Of course it's okay. I could really use some company,” Julia's hands wouldn't stop fidgeting.

“Are you going to change your mind?” Anne was quiet and far more serious than Julia could ever remember.

“No.” Julia didn't think so anyway. “It's just pre-wedding jitters, right?”

Anne laughed and flipped her hair back. Her breasts moved and she shifted her legs and Julia ached as she watched her and chided herself for looking. “Don't ask me, I've never gotten married.”

“I know, you're not the marrying kind,” Julia saw her ex-lover as far too much of a free spirit for anyone to tie her down.

“Maybe, maybe not,” Anne shrugged her shoulders but her eyes said something that Julia remembered all too well, “but I have missed you so much.”

Julia felt the pull the made her want to run into the woman's arms, her heart throbbing and the ache between her legs that only Anne could satisfy so completely. It was incessant and almost uncontrollable.

“I think about you a lot,” Julia admitted, not as much as she had in the past but she had to admit to herself: Anne had never gone away entirely.

  “Good things?” Anne asked hopefully.

“Very good things,” Julia felt herself rise up from the stool and her feet took her in the woman's direction; it was as if she had nothing to do with it. She reached out, her hand running up and down Anne's arm. Her skin seemed to be magnetic. It was as if once they touched, there was no way to stop it.

“Can I kiss the bride?” Anne whispered and Julia felt the tremor under her skin.

Her lover had goosebumps already and Julia couldn't help but wonder if her panties were wet under the dress or if she even had panties on. She knew that there were only a few minutes left before the door would open and she'd take the long walk down the aisle. Julia could picture setting Anne down on the stool and pushing her dress up, getting on her knees in her wedding gown and kissing her, hot, desperate closed-mouth kisses until she got to the damp wisp of fabric that concealed all of her pink places that Julia was now hungry for.

She swallowed hard and felt herself shiver in her buttoned, lace bodice. Would everyone know, as she made her way to the front of the church to say her vows of love and honor, that she had just been entangled in the woman's caress? What would David say if he knew that she had spent her last few minutes of freedom breaking the promise that she had made the night that she took his ring?

Julia knew exactly what she was saying when she opened her arms with a smile and answered, “Of course you can kiss me. And, I now know, it won’t be for the last time, either…”

She knew she couldn’t stay away from Anne forever. She had meant too much to her. They had shared too. Anne had opened up an entirely new world for Julia. She didn’t know how she would manage, but she knew there was no way she could have a life without Anne. She was going to have her cake and eat it too.
