He smiled and called one of his warriors to him. As she stepped forward, he could feel the lust and longing rolling off her in waves. She was infatuated with Crispin and would do anything for him. Countless times she showed him that she could take pain as long as he was the one giving it. As long as she could feel his hands rove up and down her body. Stroking, caressing and pleasing her very core, she would gladly accept pain. To have him inside her, she would accept and do anything he asked and did. But regrettably, Crispin never took his playtime that far with his people.

His warrior sauntered up to him, slowly lowering herself to the floor letting him know with her body what she wanted. She let her eyes run slowly up his long legs, lingering on his very obvious arousal. She licked her lips, wanting just a little taste of ecstasy.

Crispin chuckled, “My eyes are up here,” he said a little amused. “Or have you forgotten? Are you too taken by my package to even look at my face, sweetness?”

“My lord,” she swallowed thickly as she felt her juices soaking her clothing. He was so sexy that just the sound of his voice had her enthralled within an orgasm every time. “Who wouldn’t be taken by all of you?”

“Yes, but you seemed to only be speaking of my lower half. If, as you say, all of me, then would you have proceeded to devour all of me and not this?” Crispin grabbed his groin. As he pulled his hand away he did so slowly, teasing her as he caressed himself.

Her mouth watered. “Yes master, but can you blame me? I am a very curious woman! A woman that would love to see what you look like underneath all your garments!”

Crispin smiled, but playtime was over. “I see, but I did not call you to me because I was finally going to show all.”

She bowed her head subserviently. “My apologies master, what have you of me?”

As Crispin told her what he needed. She listened, her attention rapt in his every word. Once the plan was laid out, she got up and turned to leave, but before she left Crispin said one more thing that chilled her to the bone.

  “Quilisa?” Crispin growled.

Slowly she turned around fearing the tone of his voice. “Yes?” She asked lips trembling.

“Be a good girl and do not mess this up!”

Without another word, Quilisa hurried out of the chambers.

  Chapter Seven

  Callamose

Lights flashed by me in various shades of multicolor, brilliantly vivid colors that were zooming and spinning all around me. I was moving so fast; faster than I could have ever imagined. I know this might sound cheesy, but it was like I was moving at the speed of light. Perhaps I was. So, here I am falling through this-what seems to me like a never ending portal into the supernatural realm. That’s where I’m supposed to get some way cool powers, but all I keep thinking about is what my parents told me. They said my biological parents were killed by Tru’s family. How can I live with that, when Tru is one of the guys; yeah one of the guys that I was seriously crushing on? I have issues I know this! But guess what? Tru said he loves me. No guy that loves you would kill you right? To find out that this awesome-amazing-sexy-sweet-guy loves someone like me? Me? Therefore, you would think that should be enough. I should be satisfied, right? Wrong!

When it comes to me and my hormones, and maybe my soul… Then that’s a whole other story. Tru, unfortunately, is not the only one I ache for.

Stupid hormones! Stupid me! Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Even if he might be the only one I want. Yet, it seems that fate will not let me just like one guy. No, she is being a pain in the butt, and probably laughing right now.

  Ugh!

But, who could blame me for liking: Jace?! Sweet-hot-smile-to-melt-your-heart Jace! Wonderful, caring and oh so want to melt in his arms, but still I wish I didn’t want to touch, kiss and hold… Jace!

When I see him that’s all I think about.

Touching, kissing, holding and… Well let’s not go there. To top it all off, Jace is someone just like me. Someone I can relate to, someone with powers like me. He is someone I’m afraid I might get closer to now that we have something more in common, more then what is already between us. Undoubtedly, a part of me wants him. However, I am trying really hard to fight this overwhelming need. Although, I can say my efforts have failed miserably.

Think of Tru, your boyfriend, I told myself! Ugh!

Still, Jace too, is crossing over to the other world at this very instant and let me tell you that’s strange, because I don’t see anything but colors. Just freaking crazy-swirling-colors. No Jace in sight. Now that I have covered two of the three guys in my life, here comes the windup, yep, it’s going to be a curve ball and I am throwing it into the mix. I have a dream guy! I know. I know. Who doesn’t have a dream guy?

However, can you say that you’re dream guy is someone you have never met yet and that said dream guy is real flesh and blood? Doubtful! And can you say that said flesh and blood dream guy likes to make cameo appearances in your dreams. Well damn, I can! But hey, if that’s happened to you, please let me know. All the same, three of these guys have done something to me.

One has stolen my heart: Tru.

The other has stolen my soul: Jace.

And I think the freaking dream guy wants to steal all of me, my heart, body and soul. Weird… Right? I have never even seen him in reality; he just pops up in my dreams when he has the need to speak to me. Jerk. But who am I kidding? I’m starting to want to hear my said dream guys voice more often now.

You could so bottle that shit.

Besides, no normal girl would want some guy she has never seen, met or touched popping up in her dreams when she thinks he is truly real! Nonetheless, I want him there just so I can hear his sexy low-compelling-voice. Well, I never said I was normal and now I have more than ever the evidence to prove it. Hello, I am falling through a freaking portal after all. Heck that right there has to be evident enough of my not so normal life. But still, Tru’s my boyfriend, the one I feel the most connected too and he might kill me if he finds out what I am. But, I still have one problem and that’s this freaking never ending portal.

  Gosh this thing is long.

What I really wish right now, is that this light zooming by my head would quit already, because I’m starting to feel sick. Just as I wished it, my wish came true. I rolled out of the portal landing completely unattractive. My legs and arms sprawled out awkwardly. I scraped my knee! My hair fell over my eyes and Jace – the sweetheart that he is – was standing there with a smirk on his face. And I said I liked this guy? I thought about slapping him. I bet then he wouldn’t be smirking. Why does my stomach have to do acrobatics whenever I look at Jace? And damn him, why does he have to be so freaking hot? Grrr! I sat up blowing hair out of my face and wincing, but I quickly changed my wince to a glare.

“Whoa, hold up there Fox? Let me help. Besides, with a landing like that, you’ll need it.”

“Ahah-hah Jace! You are sooo not funny,” I said grimacing. I looked down at my knee. Gosh it looked nasty.

“Here,” Jace said softly. “Let me see.” He knelt down and examined the damage. Heat infused my body as he took my leg into his hands. Jace grinned devilishly at me. Then slowly he lowered his lips to my knee never taking his eyes off mine. Oh my, what was he doing? I started to pull away but he tightened his hold.

“Nah-uh-uh. No pulling away from me. Besides, if you want that knee fixed then you will let me do my job!” A mischievous glint of something lit up his dark blue eyes.

I love his eyes. Focus. Focus. Tru, remember Tru.

I shook my head and watched as Jace blew warm air over my knee. His breath was hot. It sent desire up my body. While he blew he slowly ran his right hand up and down my calf and his left hand squeezed my inner thigh. I was feeling so much pleasure in that moment I felt like I would combust, but all too soon Jace pulled away. I opened my eyes. Funny, I didn’t know I had them closed. I looked down to see the damage. Jace had healed me. I looked at him and blushed.

  Wow d
id that really just happen? I just got turned on while he was healing me? Ugh really?

He was amused, as if he knew what I was feeling; Jace reached out his hand to pull me up. I placed my hand in his warm soft palm. There was this zing of electricity when our hands touched. Heat spread up through my body and decided to land deliciously in the center of my core. Ugh again! And did he feel that too? I looked at him. No, he looked okay. I guess he didn’t feel what I felt! I shivered as he pulled me to my feet in one swift movement. He used a little more strength then necessary and our bodies collided. Great, that was just what I didn’t want to happen. Now we were touching and so close, so very close. Jace took that opportunity to slide his arm around my waist pulling me even closer. I tried for self-control, really I did. But it took everything I had to not pull him in and kiss him right there. I looked up into his eyes, his blue-blue eyes and I wanted to get lost.

I let my gaze slide down to his lips. Bad idea! All I could think about then was kissing him. Maybe it was the magic around us, or maybe it was knowing that we had something in common. I didn’t know. What I did know though, was for a second, all I wanted was that kiss and damn the consequences. I leaned in. I could feel his warm breath brush my lips. I was so close, almost there. Our lips were almost touching. However, I don’t know if it was by fate or by luck, but that’s when I saw the city.

“Ah,” Jace said sounding defeated. He let his hands fall away. I felt the loss, but I could not take my eyes off of what I was seeing. “Welcome to Callamose,” Jace finished.

Even if he was smiling I could still see the sadness in his eyes. Jace wanted that kiss and he wanted it bad. Oh, damn it to all hell! But Jace was not the only one; I wanted to kiss him too. Well that is, I wanted to kiss him all the way up until I saw the amazing city, and then all thoughts of kissing fled my mind. Crazy right? I know! Jace was still smiling as he spread his arm out in a curtly bow, but my eyes were elsewhere. I took the colors in and was extremely amazed. I had never seen anything this wonderful before in my life.

  Chapter Eight

  Dragons

As I gazed around I saw bright, gloriously beautiful landscapes cascading all around me. Fresh air seemed to envelop my every sense. I saw buildings lining the streets with all kinds of beings hustling and bustling by us. I had an overwhelming urge to laugh and whirl myself around, splaying my arms wide. Callamose was more than my imagination could conjure and way more than any words would be able to describe it. Green grass, the greenest I had ever seen filled the hilltops. Emeralds and other jewels lined the streets with several shades of blue, indigo and red. This city was fairytale wonderland. My eyes widened as I looked up. The sky was lined with faint blurring colors. I was awed as I saw things zoom across the skyline, traveling fast through the puffy white clouds. The closer I stared, the more the blur came into focus. At first glance I thought it was just the color of the sky. However, the longer I watched, the more the lines turned into some kind of snake like thing.

Please don’t let it be a flying snake, because you know that would be just my luck.

I gasped. “What is that?” I pointed upward.

“Oh,” Jace sounded unimpressed. “They’re dragons. Just freaking dragons and they’re showing off as usual.” He shrugged.

  I smiled. “Dragons? Really?”

After I made them out properly, I could see four gorgeous Dragons. It looked as if they were playing tag or some kind of kid game. The Dragons chased one another happily, pulling on each other’s tail and playfully bumping heads. I scanned the Dragon’s greedily. I wanted to remember every aspect and small detail. Besides, how often is it that you can say you saw a real Dragon flying in the sky? Well, I guess if you were me you can say all the time… Now! I felt like I was looking at this now in an innocent way and soon there would be no innocents left, so I had to absorb as much as I could. I had a bad feeling that once I gain my magic, I wouldn’t be the same person. Yeah, I know that was silly thinking, but that was what my thought process was on. A silly channel I guess.

As I gazed up at the Dragons in complete and utter awe. I noted that one of the Dragons had purple scales that shaded to lighter purple almost pink, as the underside part of the Dragons neck thinned out to a finer shade, almost nonexistent color beneath the sunny sky. Uh, this Dragon felt like a female. I don’t know how to explain it, but she did. Her elegant body glided smoothly like a dancer on stage for the whole world to see. She was powerful, proud, confident, wonderful and extraordinary. Her muscular limbs rippled while she spun and moved forward. I glimpsed four closely mounted digits on each of her feet. There were small, close-set frill-like wings attached to her shoulders.

A row of spines ran from shoulder to the tip of her tail. The Dragon’s mouth covered the length of her face. She had a pronounced overbite and two tusks like teeth in front. Her eyes were a shade gem-like yellow with a touch of blue that twinkled my way when she smiled. The smile played over her face as she noticed me noticing her. She was magnificent.

Another one of the Dragons had fine green scales with a hint of chestnut, a thin elongated body, and a very, very long slender neck. At the end of its tail were razor-sharp-blades of some kind extending outward. I noticed this Dragon had eight elongated limbs with four closely mounted digits on each foot that end in very long, very blunt claws. His wings seemed too disappear in the air. Kinda like a cloud of smoke. Poof, now you see them, now you don’t! Deep-set eyes glanced over at me. I smiled at the Dragon. He acknowledged me with a nod. Then a puff of blue-green smoke wafted out of his nostrils as he smirked over at Jace. I glanced between them thinking maybe they knew one another. The Dragon turned his penetrating gaze back my way and, yep, he had to be a male Dragon because his gaze burned through me as if he was looking past my clothing onto my bear skin. For some reason I wanted to cover up more, hide behind something, anything to stop his remarkable midnight sky eyes from probing, seeking and yes, noticing me. Oh boy was he noticing. The blue-green smoke seemed to increase the longer he stared. Even Jace looked uncomfortable and mad, very, very mad. I heard him whisper under his breath, it was barely audible, but I was just close enough to hear.

Jace said, “Shit, you fucking Dragon. When I see you, Oz, you will regret that challenge. Trust me on this, you will regret it.”

The Dragon smirked at Jace. I pursed my lips and thought about saying something, but mercifully, a smaller Dragon grabbed the cocky Dragon’s attention away from me and Jace and back to the game. I let out a low sigh, thanking the Dragon silently. The smaller Dragon, I noticed, was not as pretty as the others. She had a long body with a slender tail and her scales where unreflective of the light. The color of her scales was a dull apple green. The small apple green Dragon had elongated thick limbs with four closely mounted digits on each foot that ended in sharp claws, with close-set wings at her shoulders. She too moved with grace, but still there was something lacking with her compared to the others. Something was off. All the same, her eyes were fascinating, the color of the deepest ocean swirling with silver. She glanced down at me in what looked like a sour expression, if Dragons had sour expressions, that is.

Joy, I already have an enemy. Yay! And it’s a Dragon nonetheless.

She flicked her tail my way then, just like that, she spun fast through the thickened clouds and was gone. Three of the four Dragons disappeared before my eyes. I was disappointed. I looked franticly around, searching the sky, the ground, anywhere for the fourth Dragon. I was hoping I did not miss him. Suddenly a shadow crossed over me. I looked up to see the most beautiful one yet.

My breath hitched at the sight of him. The Dragon had thick metallic scales with black lines zigzagging from side to side. Blue and white specks where imbedded in his exotic scales. It looked as if the specks were stars twinkling in the sky begging for just one glance. The color of his scales shaded to a lighter color on the underside of his neck. His masculine body was infused with so much power, strength, grace and charm! He had a long tail and a thick menacin
g neck that throbbed as he moved.

His muscular limbs stretched in front of me like he was saying, ‘Hey, take a good look at me.’

He too had four closely mounted digits on each foot that ended into sharp claws. His wings where long and graceful, but still strong. They stretched out far and wide, exotically glorious. The Dragons large eyes fixed on me as if he knew what I was thinking. For a long moment we did nothing but look at each other. Finally he blinked his wonderfully beautiful rusty-golden eyes and to my dismay, he disappeared.

“I wish I could have seen them closer.”

“Oh, don’t worry, Fox, you’ll see them close up. Trust me,” Jace said dryly.

“You don’t like the Dragons much do you?” I asked.

“When you meet one, Fox, then you can ask me that, okay?”

“That’s fair. So Jace, I’m wondering something!”

  “Hmm?”

“Where in the heck did our family go?”

He chuckled and smiled that wonderful melt you’re heart smile. “They went on ahead. Come on, I‘ll take you to them.”

As we walked along the streets, I felt entranced. I gazed around at this wonderful world. With awe in my voice I said, “Jace, It’s so beautiful here.”

“Yes. Beautiful, um, very beautiful indeed,” Jace murmured.

I glanced at him. Jace wasn’t looking at the city. He was looking at me. I ducked my head and blushed. Jace noticed and nudged me forward giving me a sweet grin.
