“Michael Fassbender,” all five women at the table chimed in at once.

“Hm,” Dermot said, his beady eyes flitting to each of his daughters as I chuckled. “You two are too young to be watching that filth,” he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. “But yeah, him, that’s your mother’s hall pass. Anyway,” he said quickly. “How the hell did the conversation end up here?” he asked, looking like he wondered how he’d shot himself in the foot with his joke. I laughed openly at how his smart ass move about me had backfired.

As if on cue, the wait staff interrupted, cleared our plates from the table and came back with clean ones. Next, they served us with thick, succulent, sliced turkey, pigs in blankets, vegetables and roasted potatoes before leaving extra vegetable dishes at the center of our table.

Tucking in, it wasn’t long before Ryan began to ask Belle questions and although there was general chatter among the rest of them, my ear was acutely attuned to their conversation.

“There’s a great club I go to with my friends when I’m home from university. It’s called Mother. We could probably do that in between Christmas and New Year if you want,” she replied, innocently. “I’ll talk to Poppy. We could invite a few of our friends too, if you don’t mind. It’s better to go in a crowd. We’ll get a better table and sometimes they let you use the VIP section,” she replied.

“… If Daisy loves you, I’m more than happy with that,” Dermot’s voice interjected, pulling me back to the conversation I was meant to have been listening to. I smiled and nodded, having caught the gist of what I’d missed, I felt grateful he wasn’t going to try and give me a hard time because of my fame.

My girl smiled first at her dad and then at me, leaned in and placed her head on my shoulder. It was a bold move in front of her parents, but I figured she must have felt relieved with her parents’ approval.

  Chapter 10

After an excellent lunch, Dermot ordered the boys shots of Bushmills, his favorite single malt Irish whiskey. As the drinks began to flow, I noted we’d split into two separate little groups. Ryan and Nick with Belle and Poppy and the rest of us on two separate seating areas.

I told myself they were young and not interested in what the girls’ parents had to say, but inside I’d figured if I knew my nephews at all, it had been a far more strategic split than it may have appeared.

When Dermot excused himself and made for the restroom, Roslin raked around in her purse and pulled out a pen.

“Daisy, I know he’s your boyfriend, but I can’t resist doing this. Jamie would you please autograph my left breast before Daisy’s Da comes back?”

I almost choked on the breath I’d been taking and glanced slowly toward Daisy, my eyes wide and completely stuck for how to respond to her mother’s request. Signing parts of female anatomy was nothing new to me. I’d been asked to do this more times than I could remember, but I’d never been in the awkward position of being asked by my girlfriend’s hot mother to do it.

“It's okay Jamie, go ahead, I’m used to her doing this. Just this once though, ma,” she warned. “Honestly, she’s asked every rock star she’s ever met to do this,” Daisy remarked sounding exasperated.

“She has?” I asked, distracted for a moment when I wondered how many rock stars she’d met in the past, still trying to find an excuse not to comply. I stared in disbelief toward Daisy, that she’d reacted so calmly to the thought of me scribbling my name on an intimate part of her mother’s body.

“I… this is…” I smiled, nervously. I glanced toward my sister for help, but her open mouth told me she was as dumbfounded as me by the request.

Daisy burst out laughing and I figured my face must have been a mixture of fear and confusion. “No Jamie, of course she hasn’t. You’d have to get up pretty early in the morning to find fresher bull shite than those lies,” she replied, giggling uncontrollably, and rolling onto her side on the sofa beside me, helpless with laughter.

Roslin burst out laughing, threw her head back and slapped her thigh. Her reaction cracked up Catrina and I chuckled, even though I’d been the butt of their jokes.

“I see now where you get your twisted sense of humor from,” I told my girl, pulling her up from her lying position and ruffling her hair.

“I can’t believe you almost fell for that and my da’s wedding suit story,” she said, laughing.

“Well, your dad sounded so convincing or maybe it's because marrying you some day is something I take seriously,” I replied, which made Daisy stop laughing and look adoringly into my eyes.

When I refused to break our connection, she was the one who looked away, unnerved by my admission, when my words sank in.

“Interesting,” she replied, keeping her thoughts on that to herself with an air of mystery and turned to watch her dad coming back from the restroom. “My turn,” she said, jumping to her feet. “I need to pee.”

My hungry eyes followed her perfect, pert ass in that sinful second skin dress, all the way across the room until she was out of site. An involuntary sigh left my mouth, and I cleared my throat remembering I was still sitting in the company of my sister, and more importantly, my girl’s parents.

“Hurt her and I’ll kill you,” Dermot said, deadpan.

“No doubt,” I replied, equally serious. “It has never been my intention to. In case it isn’t obvious to you both, I’m all in with your girl.”

“Ain’t that the truth,” Catrina chimed in.

“Glad to hear it because I’ve never seen her so happy,” Roslin replied. “You suit one another. I’m worried about where this is going though. She’s a special girl that one, ambitions and was meant for great things,” she added, glancing toward her husband who nodded in agreement.

“Indeed, I knew all that the moment I met her. She’s so driven, quick witted and…” I sighed because I couldn’t say bossy and hot, so I just smiled and shrugged. “She’s everything.”

“We all love her,” Catrina weighed in, supporting me again, and I could have kissed her for her loyalty toward me.

“That we do,” I mumbled again, without hesitation.

From that point on, the conversation turned to more general things, like Dermot’s farm, Roslin’s small pottery and their other daughters’ dreams for their futures. The conversations were free flowing and not in the least bit stilted for an initial meeting with a girl’s parents.

By the end of the day, Dermot and Roslin had felt more like friends than people I’d expected to have been grilled by, given my history and reputation formulated by the worldwide press.

Around 6:00 p.m. Dermot and Roslin, excused themselves to visit Roslin’s younger sister, Rachel, her husband and their family. Both Poppy and Belle had to be dragged away groaning as they looked every bit as taken with the twins as Daisy had looked with me.

Unfortunately, family duty won out and Daisy looked relieved when Dermot reminded them that Rachel’s kids, the girls’ cousins, had been expecting them.

I noted Belle and Ryan swap numbers as Dermot helped Roslin on with her coat, but I knew Daisy hadn’t seen this as she had been deep in conversation with Poppy at the time.

“Right, we’re off, thanks so much for the amazing Christmas lunch,” Dermot said, giving me another firm handshake when the manager told him their driver had arrived. “I guess we’ll see you again later this week for the ceilidh on New Year’s Eve at the pub.”

After they’d gone, the mood in the room calmed down and we sat talking with Catrina and the boys for another hour before Daisy checked out her wristwatch and sighed.

“All right, I need to be getting back. I don’t know what kind of mess I’ll be walking back into after today and we open at eleven tomorrow. I’ll need to bottle up before then.”

“Bottle up?” Catrina asked, looking confused.

  “Restock the bar,” Daisy explained.

“Sorry Daisy, we’re booked in here tonight, but I promise I’ll have you home by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning,” I said, putting
my foot down.

“No, I’d need to be ready to start for 8:00,” she insisted.

  “9:30 a.m,” I insisted.

“9:00 at the latest,” she argued.

“Done. I was going to say that in the first place. but I figured I would have ended up agreeing to 8:30 a.m. Besides, you’re forgetting you have Barney to help, he’s an extra pair of hands,” I said, holding mine out and placing one on her thigh.

I felt the suspender belt burning into my palm underneath the clingy dress material, and it took all I had in me not to take my finger and trace it up to the top of her thigh.

“We’re in the Tower Suite, baby. Wait until you see it,” I whispered, coaxing the last piece of resistance from her mind.

“Lead the way,” she mumbled, glancing over at Catrina, who smiled warmly like she was glad to see her brother so happy.

“Right, we’re off,” I said, standing and nodding toward Ryan through the doorway. He stood, arms crossed like the alpha male hunting his lay for the night, chatting up a young reception girl.

“You’ll be okay?” Daisy asked, looking out for Catrina.

“Mom will be fine. I’ll make sure everyone thinks I’m her new toy boy,” Nick joked. “Nothing more attractive than a great looking Cougar, right mom?” he asked.

Catrina swiped at his arm and chuckled. “We’re fine, go and enjoy yourselves,” she said, ignoring her son before blushing and shaking her head like she’d realized what we were likely going to do. “I mean, get some rest. You must be tired,” Cat tried again, and I laughed.

“Cat, we have just over a week. I’m not going to waste it by sleeping,” I warned both her and Daisy. My girl groaned, clearly embarrassed again by my candid comment, and my nephew chuckled.

“See you tomorrow, Cat, you’re coming to the pub at some point tomorrow?” Daisy asked.

“Yep… although not at the ungodly hour you’re going there,” she joked with a horrified look on her face. “Connor, the driver, is taking us to visit a few places, but we should get to you guys around 5:00 p.m.— if that’s okay.

“Perfect,” Daisy, replied, “I’ll make sure to have the drinks ready.”

“Night,” I said, as I led Daisy away before another conversation ensued, figuring I’d been more than generous sharing my girl with other people for one day.

  Chapter 11

“Jamie, this place is insane, look how beautiful this sitting room is,” Daisy gushed, excitedly as she wandered over to the two oval windows that looked out over the grounds.

Dumping her little purse and small jacket on one of the chairs, she stood gazing out of the window, into the night. Sidling up behind her, I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her hard against my chest.

“Not nearly as insane as the sinful sight of you standing in it,” I mumbled, kissing the soft skin on her neck.

“Oh,” she sighed. The soft erotic noise swirled around in the air, my cock stirring in my pants from both the sound of it and her warm soft body held close to mine.

“Do you want another drink?” I asked, my hands wandering from her waist to her sides. My fingers began inching her fabulous dress up her shapely legs, until the dress got caught between our bodies, close to her hips.

“Not unless you’re into screwing an unconscious woman,” she replied.

“Oh, so I am fucking you then?” I teased. “That’s rather presumptuous don’t you think? Or am I that transparent?” I asked, as an afterthought.

“Why else would you pay all that money for us to sleep in that big arsed bed when I have a perfectly good one at home in the pub? I know you too well by now. It would have taken a good half hour to get home and you hired this room to save us time.”

“What did you say you did again for a living— clairvoyant?”

“Call me... an efficiency expert. How else do you think I fit everything I have to achieve in a day? You’re looking at a well-oiled machine right here, Jamie Fontaine.”

“Well oiled as in drunk or well oiled as in wet?” I asked, turning the conversation in a seductive tone.

“Trust you,” she chided through a laugh.

“Do you?” I asked, taking a step back and lifting her dress the rest of the way up her curvy body until I’d pulled it over her head and free of her. Turning her toward me, I hummed loudly at the feast she was, dressed in those fabulous suspenders, tiny thong and her ample breasts curtailed in that delicate bra.

“Do I?” she asked, as she tried to control the tremor that ran through her when she erupted in goosebumps under my gaze.

My heart pounded in anticipation, as lust filled my eyes when I scanned down the rest of her delicious frame. Turning her away from me, I studied her back, taking in each tiny bone in her spine. Finally, I allowed my gaze to settle on the perfect round globes of her ass that had teased me earlier that night when she’d sashayed off to find a restroom. I could never imagine tiring of how gorgeous she looked.

Grabbing her by her hips, I pulled her against me and ground my hard dick against her ass. Slipping out of my hold, she turned and stared up at me with a mixture of amusement and desire in her eyes, and a slow wicked smile parted her lips.

Sweeping my fingers through her short hair at each side of her temples I leaned forward, breathed her in, and momentarily basked in her amazing flowery fragrance. Leaning back to look into her eyes, I smiled when I saw a distinctive glint of lust within them. “So fucking intoxicating,” I whispered, before I dipped my head and pressed a small kiss to her lips.

“You haven’t answered my question, Daisy,” I remarked.

“There was a question?” she murmured, looking dazed.

“The question was, do you trust me?” I reminded her, my hands sifting through her hair over and over. Not once did she break eye contact with me after I’d asked her again, but before she even spoke, I knew her answer... I just wanted to hear her say it.

“With my life,” she replied, her face falling expressionless, and the tone between my initially playful question and her deadly serious reply wasn’t lost on me.

“Thank you, baby,” I whispered, leaning in and pressing small kisses to her ear, neck and then back to her lips.

“I know this sounds wearing, but I still can’t believe this has happened to me,” she confessed.

“Me neither, not the way we met, but I can’t begin to explain how much better my life suddenly became when you came into it.”

“Better? I wouldn’t say mine got better… harder maybe.”

“Harder?” I asked, a frown creasing my brow.

“Yeah, business was my main driver in life. The pub, my sole focus before all this.”

“And now? Are you saying the pub doesn’t matter anymore?”

Daisy’s body tensed beneath my hands. “No, I’m not saying that. The pub matters, it matters a lot. That place is my foundation.”

“I’m not going to get into that with you right now. Its Christmas, we’re together and I’m going to take that as a win for now,” I replied, kissing her tenderly until I felt all tension leave her body and her lips parted. Once she had relaxed, I made a mental note to revisit her answer, but deepened the kiss until our passion took over, wiping all negative thoughts from my mind.

Tearing my lips from hers, I growled, pushed her gently away from me and slid my hand into hers. I led her toward the huge bed, my mind already lining up of all the filthy things I had thought about doing on it with her.

“Stay there,” I demanded, leaving her a few feet from me. I sat down on the deep mattress and stared longingly toward her. “I want to admire you in this lingerie. I’ve been thinking about it all day. You look so beautiful wearing it.”

Daisy stood confidently, her long legs extended by the four-inch black heels she wore, and I was sure she knew she looked good. It felt amazing that she had let me appreciate what was mine.

Light knocking on the suite door dragged me out of my sleep. The room was still dark and I wondered at first where I was,
but it had only taken a split second to remember, as I felt Daisy’s limp arm draped over my waist.

  “Coming,” I croaked.

Daisy mumbled, “I can’t, not again… sleeping,” she mumbled, sleepily.

I chuckled, slid out of bed and peered through the spy hole on the door. A waiter stood there with breakfast. I opened the door and his eyes slid from my face to my dick. Remembering I was naked, I walked away from the open door and into the bathroom.

Wrapping a towel around my hips, I gestured with my chin toward the small table and chairs over by the window. “Just put it over there.” I grabbed my wallet out of my jacket, took out a couple of what I’d thought were ten euro notes from it and handed them to him. Padding back to my bed, the waiter stood still with the euros still in his hands.

“Mr. Fontaine, you’ve given me two hundred euros.”

I shrugged; I’d given them to him by mistake but I wasn’t about to take them back so I smiled.

“Yeah, Merry Christmas,” I mumbled, sliding back under the comforter and snuggling up to Daisy as he left the room, thanking me.

“Baby, breakfast has arrived,” I muttered close to her ear.

“Sleeping,” she mumbled back, in a small tired voice.

“Should I call Terry and tell him you’ll be late?” I asked, praying she’d say yes.

Instantly her body stiffened. “Terry? The pub? Shit, what time is it?”

Dragging her body into an upright position, she ran one hand through her hair and scrubbed the other down her face.

“Almost 8:40 a.m. We have plenty of time.”

“We need to be out of here in twenty minutes if I’m going to get there in time to do everything.”

“Relax, we will be,” I reassured her as she rushed from the bed and into the bathroom like she had been scalded.

“Move, get out of bed, or I’m leaving you here,” she warned, stepping back into the room to instruct me.

She looked uptight and nothing like the laidback girl I’d spent the night with. During the night she had behaved like we had all the time in the world. Still, I loved that she was so conscientious that she’d walk out on me to keep her obligations to her business. Most other women would have let themselves get fired to spend an extra hour in the sack with me.
