Emma reluctantly pulled back from Cash. The mating fever had definitely faded over the last week or so, but it had been too long since they’d had sex. She needed Cash. She needed all of them. But it would have to wait a little while longer.
“Emma!” She turned at the sound of her name and saw her sisters waving as they ran down the dock toward the yacht.
Emma waved back and went down the back ladder before running to meet them. Just as she got to them, she caught a glimpse of something furry behind Abby.
“Who’s this?” Emma motioned to the golden panther following closely on Abby’s heels. She thought it was odd that one of Abby’s mates would greet them in panther form.
Abby laughed and turned. She took the panther’s face between her hands and rubbed the cat’s cheeks. It purred and pressed its face into her hands.
“This is Tasha.”
Emma cocked her head and looked at the cat. “So…is she a cousin or something?”
Kate snorted. Abby laughed again. “Nope. She’s full-blooded Florida panther. Brad, Bryce, and I saved her and her babies after she was attacked by a gator. She almost died, but Bryce is a wizard when it comes to taking care of animals.”
Emma hadn’t noticed it before, but now she saw the large, ugly, pink scar on the cat’s flank. The animal looked up at Abby with an expression of absolute adoration.
“She seems pretty attached to you.” Emma wasn’t sure how she felt about being this close to an actual panther. Then again, she had no problem climbing into bed with two panther shifters and a vampire, so she figured she could handle one wild cat.
Abby stroked the panther’s head. “She follows me everywhere. She’s like a puppy. She even sleeps on our porch.” Abby laughed. “I was letting her sleep in the house, but Brad and Bryce kicked her out. She decided she liked sleeping in the bed, and she growled whenever either one of them tried to get into bed with me.”
“Speaking of getting into bed with panthers…” Kate nudged Emma’s arm and nodded toward Diego. “Does he know yet?”
Emma grinned and nodded. “I just told him.”
Kate grinned. “Well, in that case, we’ll leave y’all alone to stretch your legs.”
Abby chuckled. “Come by the house later. We’ll have a late dinner ready.”
Diego walked up to Emma and put his arm around her waist. He leaned down and whispered in her ear. “Do you have any idea what I’m going to do to you for keeping that secret from me?”
His breath sent tingles down Emma’s spine and started a spasm in her pussy.
Abby burst out laughing. “We’ll make sure it’s a very late dinner.”
“Hey,” Emma stopped them before they could turn away. “Is Mom still here?”
Abby shook her head. “No, she had to catch her flight back to Austin.” A wicked grin spread across Abby’s face. “But we did talk her and Dad into spending Christmas here this year. Should make for an interesting holiday, don’t you think?” “Oh…my…” Emma gaped at her sisters. Abby and Kate dissolved into fits of giggles as they turned around and walked off the dock, Tasha following close behind.
Chapter Twenty-Seven
Emma rolled over onto her back and looked up at the night sky. The stars shone brilliantly against the black velvet backdrop. A hand skimmed its way up her bare thigh.
“So, is that all the punishment I get?” She grinned down at Cash, who had his head resting on her tummy.
“Oh, trust me, kitten, we haven’t even gotten started yet.”
Diego rose up on one elbow and leaned down over her. His lips skimmed over her forehead, down her nose, and over her lips. “Not even close.”
Chase returned from the galley with a tray of glasses and a pitcher of juice. “We just thought a little refreshment might be nice before we start round two.”
After Diego had found out he had been given the ability to shift, he’d been anxious to try out his new talent. The four of them had spent a couple of hours running across practically every square inch of the island before finally making it to Abby, Bryce, and Brad’s house for dinner. During their run, they had somehow succeeded in not giving in to their urges to shift back into their human forms and have sex on the beach. They’d known that if they gave in, they’d never make it for dinner. Although, once they did get there, it had been a quick meal.
Chase handed Abby a glass of orange juice, and she accepted it gratefully, sitting up so she could take a drink. The cool liquid slid down her parched throat, and the sweetness tasted amazing.
She handed the empty glass back to Chase and leaned back against the cushion behind her. The guys had pushed the table and chairs out of the way, and they’d thrown down blankets and cushions on the aft deck. They had decided to come back to the yacht rather than stay at one of the houses on the island. She had been a little surprised that Cash and Chase didn’t have a house like their brothers and cousins had.
“So, now what?” She had been growing antsy during the evening, but she hadn’t really been able to put her finger on why.
Chase sat back down next to her. “What do you mean?”
She shrugged. “Well, the bad stuff is over, right? We don’t have to hide anymore. So, what do we do now?”
Diego chuckled. “I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve spent the last nine hundred years either following orders or trying to avoid them. It’d be nice to just be able to relax for a change.”
Cash watched Emma intently. “We could build you a house, if you like.”
Emma thought about that. Would she want to spend most of her time on the island? It would be nice to be near Kate and Abby all the time, but she’d always been stuck in one place, never getting to see anything beyond Austin. She thought about the little pieces of sea glass sitting in their crystal bowl on the bedroom nightstand.
“A house would be nice.” She caught worried looks between Cash and Chase, and she grinned inwardly. “But not yet. For now, I think I’d like to see more islands. Lots and lots of islands.”
Cash stared at her with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. Chase stared at her, too, but his mouth had fallen open. She reached over and closed it for him.
Cash shook his head. “Have we told you how much we love you?”
Emma grinned. “Yeah, but I think I’d like it if you showed me, too.”
Cash crawled over her and settled himself between her legs. “Oh, we’ll show you, all right.” He grinned over at Diego and then at Chase. “Brothers, I think we need to show our little kitten how much we love her, don’t you?”
“Oh, agreed.” Diego leaned over and kissed her, dominating her mouth as his tongue plunged inside and raked over her tongue.
Chase captured one of her nipples between his teeth and bit lightly, sending a sharp spasm to her clit, already sensitive from their previous lovemaking. She gasped and arched her back into him, wanting more.
She heard a chuckle. “Our impatient little kitten.” It was the last sound she heard before Cash’s tongue found its way between her wet folds. His hands spread her legs wide, and he licked her pussy in one long, agonizing stroke. She gasped and raised her hips into him. A hand, she didn’t know whose, pushed her back down and held her still. Diego’s tongue thrust relentlessly into her mouth, working her into a frenzy with his taste. Chase sucked her nipple and teased it with his teeth and tongue. And Cash mercilessly tormented her, flicking and sucking her clit again and again.
She wanted to move. She wanted to writhe under the onslaught. But she was powerless against these men. She groaned into Diego’s mouth with a desperation bordering on insanity when at last, finally, Cash gave her what she needed. With a graze of his teeth, Emma’s world exploded into a million stars, brighter than the ones shining above her.
She rocked under her men. Happiness and pleasure flowed through her and combined with their joy. Tears flowed down her cheeks. These men loved her. They accepted her for who she was, quirks and all. They didn’t care that she chewed the ends of her hai
r into split ends and considered playing with pieces of glass a career.
Because honestly, once a girl could turn into a black panther and strike fear into the heart of every vampire on earth, a little quirkiness was nothing at all.
