“Enough small talk. What do you want from me?”
“One thing I want is for you to help me get out of this hell hole. The second thing I want is your child.” He touched her hair, then yanked it. “Did I hurt you?” He threw his head back and laughed more. “If you weren’t my granddaughter I’d do much more than touch your hair. I guess I’ll not cross that line just yet, but being here for centuries does things to a man.” He grinned.
“It makes you even more demented and evil? I’ll never help you. And you’ll never touch my child.” She hit his hand away. She could smell his foul breath. It made her sick. The entire cell stank like the dead.
“We shall see. Because if you don’t, you will suffer from the torment I have planned for you and the boy you carry. And if you tell anyone of this, you’ll be very sorry as well as your son. If I were you, I would not test me. I would not risk it. Your child is too precious for such a risk. If you cooperate, I won’t kill him when I use him.” He grabbed her, pulling her toward him. He bit into her shoulder.
“Stop, get off of me.” She hit at him and pushed him. Despite the fact he appeared to be a skeleton, he was stronger than her. His bite hurt, stinging her flesh. She could feel her blood drain from her body. After a while she couldn’t move at all.
“Damn, I don’t get to really taste your coppery blood, but you can feel my bite and me taking blood from you. I can appreciate whatever thrill I can get.” He backed away, an evil smile on his face. “You and Arianna are very entertaining to me.” Her blood was smeared on his face. “Seems my luck has changed even more. Now I have two to play with. And you, my dear, can come to see me here in my suite.” He grinned, his black teeth covered in blood.

“Tabitha, wake up. You were screaming.”
She opened her eyes to see Jax hovering over her, concern in his eyes. “Jax, is it really you?” Tabitha sat up.
“Yes, of course, I heard you scream. Are you okay?”
“I hope so. I had a bad dream, a very bad dream.” She put her hand on her forehead. “My head hurts.”
“I’m sorry.” He touched her head and the pain disappeared. “All is well now, I’m here.” He sat down on the edge of the bed. “Tell me about your dream.”
“I don’t want to talk about it right now.”
“Okay.” He caressed her hair. “There’s nothing to fear. I’m here with you.”
“I hope you’re right.” She kissed him.
“Amuliana and Hecate are on the run. They fear our fathers. There’s no one left to hurt you. Saltar is in an unreachable prison. So, my love, all is well.” He kissed her forehead. “Go back to sleep. It’s still very early.”
“Jax, thanks for coming to check on me. I hope you’re right about Saltar being in an unreachable prison.”
“Don’t worry, he can’t get out.”

Reading and writing is a wonderful diversion from an often-difficult world. I love to create my own stories and have control over how things will end. It’s exciting to create brand new worlds and characters. My imagination can come alive.
In sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal stories, I can invent wonderful places and people. Anything is possible in these genres, it’s limitless. I’m able to create an escape into a special world filled with unique and fantastic things and there is always a happy ending.
A high school teacher inspired me to write. However, instead of initially pursuing my writing career I became a lawyer. I work in divorce court, so erotic romance is a great escape. There can be true love and happy-endings, at least on my pages.
My two children and I have two good-humored dogs that share our home and ease our stress. I have traveled and lived all over the world, and these experiences have given me great creative ideas. I look forward to creating many more adventures in romance.
