"He said yes."
Jacen blushed so deeply and ducked behind Kayne's back as their family whooped and hollered.
"How embarrassing. How utterly and maddeningly beautiful. I love you, Kayne."
Kayne swooped in and planted a hungry, devouring kiss on his boyfriend's mouth. "And I'll always love you, babe."
Jacen laid his head against his shoulder and Kayne thought about all the things that had happened since Jacen had moved home. Hell, things that had happened even well before then. At least since he and Macen were back living with Jacen, George—the arsehole—Woodrow had finally stopped calling. Maybe the dick had finally got it through his head that Jacen had moved on with Kayne.
It may have been one last kiss goodbye so long ago that had set the way Kayne had always looked at the people he had let into his life. Luckily, holding on to his love for Jacen in his heart had brought him full circle back into the arms of the one man he had always loved.
