A cheer went up around them, followed by a round of applause. Gasping for breath, she pulled away from Logan to look around in amazement. The diner’s other customers were watching the entire scene as if it were something out of a movie. Blushing, she turned back to Logan to find him grinning down at her.
“I guess I’m going to have to get used to this since I’m going to be married to a famous movie star, huh?”
She let out a sigh. “I don’t think that’s going to be a problem. After today, what’s left of my career is going to be in the toilet.”
His smile faded. “I’m sorry. I know how important it is to you.”
She went up on tiptoe to kiss him. “But you’re more important.”
Movement by the door caught her eye, and she looked over to see Chloe coming into the diner, followed by her wide-eyed parents. Of course, Chloe would know where she’d gone.
Grinning, Raine took Logan’s hand. “Come on. There’s someone I want you to meet.”
“What are you thinking about?”
Raine smiled at the question. “That all women should get spanked on their wedding night.”
Beside her, Logan’s laugh was a deep, sexy rumble. They were lying on a blanket in front of the fireplace in the cabin, her freshly spanked ass still tingling from the spanking he’d given her.
“And why is that?” he asked.
“Because the sex afterward is better than pumpkin pie.”
Her husband grinned. “That must mean it was pretty damn good then, because I know how much you love pumpkin pie.”
She leaned over to kiss him. “I love you more.”
And she meant it. Logan was the best thing that had ever happened to her, and she thanked God every day she’d gotten stuck in that snowstorm two months ago. If she hadn’t she’d be married to Cameron and miserable right now.
As it turned out, leaving Cameron at the altar hadn’t destroyed her career. In fact, it had gotten her even more publicity. Reginald had immediately wanted to go with that tale about Logan being her lost love and how she’d finally reconnected with him, but she’d pulled rank on him and demanded he tell the media the whole truth about her engagement to Cameron. Then she’d braced herself for the backlash.
But it hadn’t come. Instead of piling on her for deceiving everyone, fans sympathized with her. They weren’t the only ones, either. Other Hollywood celebrities had supported her, too. Some of them had even come out and admitted they’d only gotten married for publicity purposes, too.
Requests for interviews were still coming in like crazy, but she told Reginald they’d have to wait. That went for movie offers, too. She was on her honeymoon for the next month.
She’d almost laughed at the look on Logan’s face when she said she wanted to spend it at the cabin.
“It doesn’t even have a bed,” he reminded her.
“Not yet,” she said.
Of course, she had to have somewhere to put the bed, so adding another room to the cabin was the first priority. After that she turned her attention to the rest of the cabin, squeezing a new refrigerator and a microwave into the kitchen, as well as hanging a plasma TV over the fireplace. Then just for fun, she’d gotten a few area rugs and throw pillows. As far as she was concerned, it was the perfect place for a honeymoon.
Raine pushed herself up and straddled Logan, rubbing her pussy along his rapidly hardening cock. “Wanna spank me again?”
He reached back to grab her ass cheeks and give them a squeeze. “I always want to spank you.”
She leaned forward to kiss him. “That’s one of the reasons I love you so much.”
