The last of the Limea Dragon riders: Dragon Master and Dragon Warrior Page 19

Kalvis frowned. “A person like you?”

“Yes… I mean…” She swallowed hard and looked away. If Kalvis didn’t remember what had been reveal yesterday, perhaps she shouldn’t say anything?

“Oh, you mean about the king proclaiming you his daughter? If it’s even true, which I doubt, that gives you even more in common with Tattiena. She’ll love that link.”

Nakeeri nodded and a swell of pain came up through her chest and clogged up her throat. She’d never hidden from a fight nor shied away from confrontation.

“No, I meant the things I said about my past. I was a thief…a…” she couldn’t bring herself to use the word whore. She’d been so young and so hungry. And it had only been before she had learned to hunt.

Kalvis stepped up close to her, and took her chin in his grasp.

He lifted her gaze up to his and pulled her against him with his other hand around her waist.

“I wanted to kill that man yesterday. For everything you have gone through. You should never have been put in the situation where you had to sell yourself for money.”

The tears welled up and she swallowed hard. “It was before I knew how to hunt. I was young. I stopped… I swear I’m not a…”

His eyes lit up as he smiled down at her. “My beautiful dragon warrior. I have felt the tight grasp of your pussy, and if you hadn’t told me differently, I would have sworn you a virgin.”

His candid attitude made heat flood her face. “It’s been more than ten years since I let anyone touch me as you have.”

His grin grew wider. “And I hope you’ll continue to let me touch you like that.”

His hand dropped and he caressed her breast, rubbing his thumb over her taut nipple.

Desire bloomed in her belly and that familiar tug down deep called to him.

“So, you don’t care that I?”

“Oh sweetheart. I promise you I’ve done thing in my past that you won’t like either, but that was so long ago, it’s not worth bringing up. I am so sorry you’ve had such a terrible life up until this point, but if you’ll allow it, I’d like to make the rest of your life as perfect as you are.”

She slid her hands along his arms and up to cup his face.

“I never thanked you for saving me yesterday.”

“And you never have to. You are my woman, and I’ll die to protect you.”

She gave him a playful pinch. “You know it goes both ways, right?”

He nodded. “Definitely. I can’t imagine anything better in my life than a woman as strong and capable as you. Our sons and daughters will be the best warriors Gregorick has ever known.”

Her heart leapt at the thought. She’d never desired a family, nor children in the world she lived in before. But now…the possibility of happy, healthy children was a new dream.

“I thought you couldn’t have any?”

He reached down and squeezed her arse, bringing her in to his erection. “Let’s see and find out, shall we?”

Nakeeri reached up for her man and brought his head down for a firey kiss, letting the head that had once consumed her, grow at a roaring pace.

She’d found her home and she was never losing it again.

Epilogue: 10 years later in the Dragon paddock…

“How old were you when you first rode Nargoya?” Leo asked an anxious Tattiena.

  “I don’t know. Four, five?”

Leo laughed and held tight to his wife’s shoulders. “Then let him go.”

Nakeeri grinned at her friend, who was being ridiculous. “Tattiena, you can’t seriously be worried about Tomei.”

Tattiena glared back at her. “Wait until it’s your turn.”

Nakeeri shrugged and balanced her baby girl on her hip. “My kids haven’t bonded yet, but you never know. And I was three when I first rode Teramessi, so relax.”

“And how hurt did you get when you fell off?” Tattiena asked with a knowing expression.

That had been a painful experience.

  “Broke an arm, or two.”

The four of them laughed as Tattiena and Leo’s oldest son climbed on the back of his own Dragon. Nargoya’s offspring.

“Be careful, son.” Leo called out and Nakeeri rolled her eyes. In her opinion, they’d waited far too long to let the dragon and his rider take flight. It wasn’t fair on either of them.

“Go for it, Tomei. And if you need some help, let us know and we’ll fly with you.”

The young boy who she looked upon as a son also gave her a grin that mirrored the handsome look of his father. A future king.

  “I’m good.”

He leaned forward and spoke to his purple tipped male dragon.

The dragon extended his wings and began to flap them like a young bird.

  Oh the memories…

If Teramessi was human, she would be laughing at Nakeeri. But as she was a beautiful dragon, she was inside the barn where she attended her second lot of offspring.

“He needs to jump up first. Then start flapping,” she called out, then turned to Tattiena. “Maybe we should just take him up ourselves.”

“No. Look,” Leo said and they all turned to watch as Tomei’s Dragon jumped and hopped and flapped his wings.

Tomei clung to the saddle his mother had designed for him, with a special belt to hold him in, and they were off. Flying up and up. Higher and higher above the reaches of Gregorick.

“I think we should retire, my love.” Kalvis said into her ear, running a familiar hand over her back and down to her arse.

“Okay. Let me put the baby to bed and then I’ll join you.”

Kalvis winked and reached down to grab their five-year old son who was playing with one of Nargoya’s hatchlings at their feet.

“Come on, Leole. Let’s take you to your big sister, yes? I think she’s in the training yard again. Too much like her mama I think.”

Kalvis winked at Nakeeir and Leole cheered.

Tattiena and Leo continued to anxiously watch for their son and Nakeeri put a hand on the prince’s shoulder.

“I’m going to head back home. Come get me if you need me, alright?”

They nodded their thanks and Nakeeri retired to the small house Kalvis had built for her next to the dragon’s barn. They had their own space and Teramessi was always within reach.

She lay the baby down into her cot and stroked her blonde locks.

Three children she had, Tattiena four.

To think that a decade ago they were fierce dragon riders without a care in the world.

She smiled to herself as she moved into her own small, warm bedroom and began to undress for her husband.

Not much had changed. When Gregorick called for it, they were still fierce warriors.

They would never stop being dragon riders, but they now had the best of all worlds.

Men who adored them and children who completed them.

Limea had many more new dragon hatchlings and with time, more dragon riders. They would all flourish beneath the tutelage Nakeeri and Tattiena gave them and in time, their world would be flush with the magnificence of dragons once more.
