Brawler

As if he felt Aden’s stare, Remy glanced his way. Their gazes met. Remy’s expression turned wicked. Aden watched as Remy picked up the nearest phone and switched it to intercom.

“Aden, you’re needed in the office.”

Aden bit his bottom lip to keep from smiling. It was hard holding a serious expression as he headed for his office. Remy turned away, moving for the office as well. Aden’s gaze dropped to the man’s ass. Damn, he was a lucky man. Remy slipped inside, stealing Aden’s visual feast. Aden picked up his pace. He didn’t want to miss a moment with Remy. When he cleared the doorway, he found Remy sitting on his desk.

“You called?” Aden asked, trying to hide the hunger in his voice.

“I did,” Remy said with a nod. “Crossfit Chad needs to have a real chat with you about today’s schedule.”

The smile exploding across Aden’s face was out of his control. He closed the door behind him and quietly turned the lock. “Is that so?”

  Remy nodded.

Aden moved closer until Remy had to tilt his chin up to hold his stare. “Do you have a problem with the way I schedule things around here?”

He was too busy enjoying the sight of Remy’s gorgeous eyes, coated in smoky color, to notice Remy’s fingers had twined their way around the string of Aden’s workout pants. He tugged, untying them.

“Crossfit Chad can’t help but notice a serious oversight in today’s plans.”

Aden’s mouth went dry. His dick stirred, already hardening. “I’m listening.”

Remy’s fingers curled around Aden’s waistband. He slid the material down while never breaking eye contact. “When I looked over your schedule, it didn’t have a time assigned for Crossfit Chad to rock your world.”

Jesus. He loved this man. “That’s because he already does, every second of the day.”

A smile exploded across Remy’s face.

Aden shuffled closer, forcing Remy onto his back. As Aden snagged the man’s shorts and worked them down his hips, he tried to keep Remy’s smile in place. “Don’t tell Chef Charlie. He’s the jealous type.”

“And he owns knives,” Remy added, sounding breathless.

“There’s that too,” Aden agreed as he dipped his head and kissed Remy’s hipbone. His eyes fell closed as Remy’s fingers ran through his hair. When he’d fallen in love with a brawler, he’d never expected he’d need the man’s fighting spirit so goddamn much—not only to keep them together but to keep Aden from falling apart. Every day, Aden woke up vowing he would never let Remy down. Right now, he would do his part in keeping that promise. Remy wasn’t getting down from this desk until Aden ensured the man couldn’t walk through the club without blushing. He wanted everyone to hear Remy scream his name. They all needed to know what was important in life. It wasn’t winning the next match. Life was about winning your soul’s match.

  The End.

Keep an eye out for the next installment in the Low Blow series, Upstart.
