Oh God, this was torture, yet it was divine at the same time.
“Please, Ryker. Please take me.” I was in agony as I opened my eyes and stared up at him, my feeling of lust reflected in his eyes.
“Anxious, are we?”
“Very.”
He traced my lower lip with his thumb and I greedily pulled his thumb into my mouth, swirling my tongue around his digit. “Keep that up and my dick will be going places other than your pussy, baby,” he growled; the desire he was feeling sounding thick in his voice.
I released his thumb. As he pulled his hand away, his lips came down to meet mine again. But this time, he just grazed my lips as he shifted his hips and aligned the head of his cock with my entrance.
My entire body froze as I felt him probing my core.
“It’ll be okay,” he whispered.
I believed him. Wrapping my legs around his waist, I urged him to enter me. I couldn’t take anymore of this waiting. I needed and wanted him more than anything. Life beyond us didn’t exist at this moment.
And then he did it; slowly he entered me. I gripped onto him, my fingernails gripping into the muscle of his shoulders as he pressed into me. It hurt, but the desire within me overruled the hurt.
“Now, give it all to me,” I cried out.
And so he did…
With one swift thrust of the hips, he slammed himself fully into my pussy. And like magic, the little bit of pain I’d felt as his thick shaft stretched my unused pussy evaporated and all that was left was the intense need for him.
“Holy fuck. You feel amazing,” he groaned against my lips before kissing me hard.
Had his lip and tongue not been dominating mine, I would have told him the same. But thoughts left me again as he began to move within me. In and out, in and out. First, he moved slowly, taking his time and care. But his restraint, and mine for that matter, didn’t last long. His pace increased as he tore his lips from mine and began to thrust in me in earnest.
My legs and arms held tight to him as I began to move with him, meeting each of his thrusts. The waves of pleasure kept washing over me, faster and faster, sending jolts through me. I moaned, over and over. Surely the people on the other side of the wall could hear me but I didn’t care. All I cared about was my impending orgasm.
“I have to slow down; I won’t last long like this,” Ryker murmured, burying his face between my shoulder and neck. He began to slow his pace, but I begged him not to, anything but stop. I was close, so close that the anticipation was bringing tears to my eyes.
“But…”
“No.” I bucked up harder into him. “So… close…”
Ryker paused a moment and I thought I was going to die. “No! No! Please. I need it.”
He must have heard the desperation in my voice because he resumed fucking me, his dick punishing my newly christened pussy. A knot began to form in my stomach and I groaned. I was close, so close. I was nearing the peak of the summit.
One more stroke, two more.
Oh God, so close…
And then I was there. I cried out, my pussy milking his dick as I came over him, my juices greeting his greedy cock.
“Oh fuck me.” He slammed into me once more and released. I moaned, feeling his seed fill my core, mixing with my juices.
I held tight to him, bringing his body tight to mine and enjoying the feel of him within me. The mixture of our juices began to seep from me and down my backside, dripping onto the bed below me, but I didn’t care. I savored the feeling quite honestly.
We’d made love. I’d given him the thing I’d saved for twenty years.
I was his now, fully and completely. This decision was the right one; I could feel it in every part of my body and deep into my soul.
Chapter 6
Nina
I didn’t open my eyes right away upon waking; instead I lay there listening to the sound of Ryker speaking with someone in the other room. They said their goodbyes and I immediately began to smell bacon.
Mmmmm, breakfast.
Momma was expecting me home last night. She’s been of the opinion that I wasn’t to give away my virginity to Ryker until I was in the United States and married. I’d told her I wouldn’t… I’d lied, and I felt as guilty as hell about it, though it hadn’t been my intention to sleep with him last night; it just happened.
But it would have happened eventually. At least now I knew I was with a kind and generous lover; that amounted to something, right? Opening my eyes, I arched my back and felt the blissful pull of muscle as I stretched. Relaxing, I pulled myself up in the bed and looked down at the ring he’d given me last night. If he hadn’t been serious about taking me to America, then he’d never have spent the money on this ring. Besides, I had no doubt he would have no problem getting sex from women back in American if he wanted to.
But he’d chosen me. I was nothing special; I never excelled in school. There were hundreds of girls more beautiful than me, more successful than me, but for whatever reason, he’d chosen me to give a new life to. I’ve be forever grateful.
I was about to slide out of bed and get dressed when Ryker came into the bedroom with a cart carrying our breakfast. An “all-American” breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs, toast and hash browns. It smelled divine.
“I was hoping you were awake.” He smiled at me and brought the cart up to the bed. “Figured we could have breakfast in bed, before I go to meet your mother.”
Nodding, I moved to the edge of the bed, slipping my legs over the side. Grabbing the glass of orange juice, I took a drink as he seated himself beside me. “This was very kind of you.”
He chuckled. “Getting breakfast isn’t a big deal. The least I can do is feed my bride-to-be.”
“Still…” I shrugged. “I’m still grateful.”
“You’re welcome.” He took a piece of bacon and popped it into his mouth as I began to dig into the food. I’d promised him after we spent some time with my mother that we could try some Russian cuisine. I personally had no interest, but it seemed to matter to him, so I’d grant his wish. Soon enough I’d be in America and would rarely eat my homeland’s dishes unless I made them myself.
“For everything.” The fact he’d asked me to service his brother had already faded from my mind. He’d made a mistake. We all make mistakes.
He stopped eating and turned to face me fully. Taking one of my hands in his, he brought it to his mouth and kissed the back of my hand, causing a fluttering to occur in my tummy. He was such a good man. I was lucky.
“You don’t have to thank me for anything. This arrangement makes sense for both of us.”
The fluttering in my stomach slowed just a tad at the way he described it as an “arrangement.” Like it was a business arrangement… Maybe it was just a matter of his meaning being lost in translation. Surely, I couldn’t expect him to be head over heels in love with me, but at the same time the whimsical part of me had held the hope that maybe — just maybe.

Ryker
Meeting the mother of my bride-to-be was slightly intimidating. It would help if her mother was open to the idea of her going to the United States with me, but from what Nina had said, her mother wasn’t too fond of the idea. Fuck. Nina seemed very tight with her mom. While a part of me felt bad for dear old mom, I was taking her daughter away, another part of me was nervous. If she was as close to her mother as she seemed, then if I didn’t make a good impression on mommy I might be short a mail-order-bride and coming here would be for nothing.
It wouldn’t stop there though. I didn’t even want to imagine the ridicule I’d have to endure at the hands of my brother. He’d torment me relentlessly; being called a fool would be the nicest thing I’d hear from him and I’d never be allowed to forget it. Calvin always loved rubbing my nose in whatever disaster I brought onto myself. He still brought up my foolish idea of eloping to Vegas with Tiffany Campbell and getting myself married. We had it annulled a week later and broke up the week af
ter that.
Yup, Ryker Stone, the impulsive idiot.
But that wasn’t going to happen this time, not with Nina.
“Would you mind terribly if I go up and speak with her first, just to explain why I didn’t come home last night.”
How are you going to explain that? I thought, Hey Momma, I was getting fucked and losing my virginity to the man who is taking me across the world to be his housewife.
Yeah, that would go over well.
But instead of questioning her, I nodded. “Of course, if you feel that would be best.”
She smiled as she looked up into my eyes. “It would be. She doesn’t like to be surprised.” With that, she spun and headed to the elevators, her pace brisk, causing her hair to catch in the breeze, the stray strands flying about and around her head. Just as she entered the elevator, she took one more look over her shoulder at me and smiled. I’m not sure who she was reassuring, me or herself — most likely a little of both.
I looked down at my watch. It was ten minutes to ten.
Time slipped by at a snail’s pace as I walked back and forth across the apartment building lobby. It wasn’t much of a lobby; hell, it wasn’t much of an apartment building. It was old and poorly maintained. If they were living in this place then money must be tight; would her mother be okay financially without her daughter to help support the bills? It wasn’t something I considered until now. Did she plan on sending money to Mom once she got to America? That also hadn’t occurred to me until now. There seemed to me a lot I hadn’t previously considered.
In the end, her mother’s finances were not my problem. Signing up for the mail-order site and wanting to move to America was her decision.
Her mother would be okay.
Close to half an hour after she disappeared in the elevator, Nina returned. She looked flushed and more than a little flustered.
“Is everything okay?” I asked as she approached me.
“Yes. Yes, it’s fine.”
My eyes narrowing, I studied her features. She didn’t look fine. In fact, she looked as though she may have been crying. “Are you sure?”
She gave me a smile, but I could see that it was forced. “Why wouldn’t it be?”
I shrugged. I could think of a half-dozen reasons why it wouldn’t but wasn’t foolish enough to start listing the reasons off for her. “Is it fine for me to meet her?”
“Yes, yes.” She took my hand and led me to the elevators. “My mother was just concerned. I’d stayed out all night and hadn’t called. It was very irresponsible of me to do that and she worries.”
The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. I motioned for her to enter before me and followed behind. The elevator itself was small, it would be lucky to hold eight people, and I was concerned over the maintenance, or lack thereof, as it creaked and groaned while proceeding up four floors. The ride took so long that I was confident I could have taken the stairs quicker.
The elevator dinged again, signaling our arrival, and the doors slowly slid open. Nina exited and as I began to walk through, the doors began to close, nearly crushing me between them. What the fuck happened to the safety feature that kept doors from closing on people?
She didn’t seem to notice. “It’s just a few doors down.”
Giving the elevator a look of disgust and deciding I’d be taking the stairs on the way back, I followed her down the hallway; it was the third door on the right. She looked over her shoulder and I noticed her inhale deeply.
Well, fuck, that can’t be good.
She opened the door and stepped inside, me following behind her. The front door immediately led into the living room, where her mother was sitting on the sofa. The sofa was floral and threadbare. The room itself was sparsely furnished but it was immaculate in regard to cleanliness.
Her mother rose from the sofa and met us halfway across the room. She only gave her daughter a glance; her gaze was on me as she looked me up and down.
Normally, it was hard to make me uncomfortable, but she was doing a good job of bringing the nerves up within me. I tried not to stare back, but I had to admit her mother was a stunning woman — she looked more like an older sister than her mother.
“Come. Sit.” She turned and walked back to the sofa and sank back down on it at one end. Nina sat next to her, allowing me the armchair. I was grateful. I was getting the feeling the older version of my fiancée was itching to lash out.
So much for charming her. I’d come across a hostile parent or two in my time but nothing like this.
Nina said something to her mother in Russian. Her mother responded in kind and so started what appeared to be a heated argument between the women, ending with Nina standing and heading for what I guessed was the kitchen, leaving me alone with my future mother-in-law.
Well, fuck me.
Her mother’s green eyes flashed as she turned her attention to me. “You’re taking my daughter to America.”
I wasn’t certain if that was a question or demand. “Yes, ma’am.”
She leaned forward on the sofa, her eyes narrowing at me. “You take my daughter. You hurt her. I find and kill you. Yes?”
Jesus! That’s the first time I’d been threatened with death where I actually thought the parent meant it. I gave my words some serious consideration before answering. Between the language barrier and my shock, my thoughts were jumbled and I was scared I’d say something to make things worse.
“Yes,” she said again.
I could envision this little fireball of a woman hunting me down and putting a bullet into my forehead. Dead center. Goodbye, Ryker.
“I assure you, your daughter will be cared for and treated very well. She’ll never want for anything.”
“And love?”
“I care for your daughter.”
“But you do not love her? How you take her if you no love her?”
Holy fuck, it was getting hot in here. Did Nina go and turn up the thermostat? It was the middle of summer; why would she do a thing like that?
“I feel more for her than I have anyone else in my life.” And that was the truth. I may have only met her in person for the first time yesterday but feelings towards her had developed. Nina was the type of woman who was hard not to care for.
It looked as though she was going to speak again but Nina came in to save the day. She became the driving force for the conversation and the topics turned to general chitchat. While the situation was defused, there was still tension. Fuck, I couldn’t wait to get on a plane out of here, Nina in tow.
Chapter 7
Calvin
Foolish. That’s what my brother is. A damned fool, I thought to myself as I began getting my horse ready for a ride. Riding always calmed me and I needed it after the past few days as I waited for Ryker to return with his new bride.
Our folks always favored him. He was the only that fit the mold of “all-American guy,” he was the quarterback in high school and played ball in college, though he wasn’t quite good enough for the NFL. He was the one who got a fancy business degree. He was the one who was going to “make something of his life” beyond the ranch. There was nothing wrong with the ranch in my opinion, nothing at all; it was decent, honest living, and considering how profitable the ranch was, a smart investment to boot.
I, on the other hand, had always been slotted to take over the farm when they passed. There was really no discussion or question about that. Our parents’ expectation for me was get married, have kids and run the farm in their absence. As life would have it, my deceased wife — God rest her kind soul — didn’t have a chance to bear my children.
With my horse fully saddled, I pulled myself up and onto her, spurring her to move forward. I didn’t need to give her any more direction than that; she knew where I was going. Sometimes it felt as though this horse was the only thing in this world that understood me. We were heading to a clearing by the river it was such a calming spot. I used to go there with my wife, Allison, whenever we wanted to spend some
quiet time together; we’d spend hours reclined on a blanket at the river’s side, reading.
We didn’t race through the trails but took them at a leisurely pace, enjoying the sunshine of the summer afternoon. There was just enough of a breeze to keep the bugs at bay. Ryker had been right about one thing; I could easily have left and come back a week later and the ranch would still be running smoothly.
But the idea of his was ridiculous and I refused to support it. Bringing some woman he’d never met home and marrying her? Our parents were no doubt rolling in their graves over that. I knew what those women wanted — money. Once she got her hooks in him and got her green card, she’d take him for everything she could get and then carry off into the sunset, laughing all the way.
As the clearing came into view, I pushed the thoughts of my crazy brother from my mind and worked to find the place of solitude in my mind. No matter how screwed up things got in life, I refused to allow this place to be tainted by negative energy.

Nina
“So here we are,” Ryker announced as we pulled off the road and through a set of iron gates announcing we were entering Dawn to Dusk Ranch. It had been a long drive from the airport, well over an hour, with virtually no traffic. That, in addition to the length of the flight, of which I didn’t catch a moment of sleep, made for an exhausting fifteen hours. My body wanted to crawl into bed and go to sleep but my mind was racing. Even if I were to lie down, I couldn’t sleep, I knew this without a doubt. My new life was beginning. I was already missing my mother but I’d adjust and so would she. We could still talk daily on the phone and Skype. I’d see her again; Ryker promised me that and I believed him.
The extended cab one-ton truck bounced as it made its way down the dirt road. Rolling down the window, I was hit by the smell of manure and the sight of horses out in the pasture, while on the main road, I’d seen lots of cows. Apparently, he and his brother also had a dairy farm in addition to breeding horses. I was anxious to get into the farm life; I’d envisioned myself going to the coop and gathering eggs for breakfast each morning. Maybe I’d learn how to ride a horse; I’d wanted to learn to ride from the time I was a little girl. That dream will finally become a reality.
