AN OUTLAW MONSTER (A Back Down Devil MC Romance Novel) Page 3

by London Casey

He made a line for the door and Trev pointed to Max. “Stop him.”

I saw the look on Max’s face.

  There was no stopping Duke.

Max got up. “Brother. Sit back down.”

  “Not now.”

Max grabbed for Duke’s arm. Duke threw an elbow and just like that, all hell broke loose during our table meet.

  **

I had Xavier by the collar of his leather and pulled, sending him onto the table. I jumped forward and had no choice but to swing my foot and crack Duke in the gut. He went dark in bad times, meaning he knew nothing of what he was doing.

Duke rolled off Max, both their faces matching the same wounds. Max coughed and spit a glob of blood right onto Duke’s face.

I reached down and grabbed Max, pulling him to his feet. “Back the fuck away.”

I tossed him away and crouched down. My hand went to Duke’s throat. I choked the fucking prick until his focus was really on me.

“I will kill you,” I growled. “For the sake of this club. And if I kill you, then they have to vote on how I die. Is that what you want, brother?”

Duke showed his teeth and grabbed my wrist.

“You’re not over there anymore,” I said. “You’re here. There’s a war right here that needs fighting. Are you ready to fight?”

I let Duke go and he kicked himself back against the wall.

“Everyone open up!” Trev’s voice bellowed. He smashed between all of us and stood there, staring down at Duke. “You have a goddamn hit on you right now. From Night Soul. You have a fucking gambling problem? Fix it. You owe this MC some money? Pay the hell up. Don’t have the money? Go earn. Get your feet and your head in this fucking room right now.”

Nobody went after Duke like that. Not even Ripper when he was at his worst. Towards the end, Ripper just ignored Duke, treating him like a sickly dog, hoping to never have to deal with him.

Duke looked up to Trev and I feared he was going to pull a gun. If that happened, it was up to me to kill Duke. I slowly put my hand to my weapon. No matter what, I had to protect the President of the MC. We all voted Trev in. Until we had good reason to vote him out and have a strategic play and support from our brothers down in Frelen, Trev was the President.

Slowly, Duke put a hand out for Trev to take. “A little help, Prez?”

Trev slapped his hand to Duke’s and pulled him to his feet. They stood there, hands together, nodding. A real sign of respect between the two. Nobody was meant to see eye to eye. That’s not how the MC worked. But respect? That was earned and that was sacred.

  “You good?” Trev asked.

“Great,” Duke said. “My dues are paid.” He looked to Cade. “Right?”

“All paid,” Cade said. “I’ll get this taken care of.”

“Duke,” Trev said. He broke hands and stepped back, leaning against the table. “We still need you there tonight.”

  “Are you serious?” Duke asked.

“Yeah,” Trev said. “Kye has all the information. I want you there. I want to see who shows up to kill you.”

  “To kill me,” Duke said.

“And how do we stop it?” I asked.

Trev looked at me. He then patted a hand to my chest. “That’s your problem, brother. You’re going to save his ass tonight. I want to see the monster at his finest. I want you to destroy everything in sight and send a clear message to everyone in attendance.”

“What about Duke’s woman?” Cash asked. “I mean, he pays a good price to lose at cards but still walk away with a decent blowjob.”

“Thanks for thinking of my dick,” Duke said.

Cash made a fist. “Always. I think of everyone’s dick.”

  “Great,” Jasper said.

“Anyone worried about pussy…” Trev looked at the clock on the wall. “You’ve got about four hours to drain yourselves. I’d go to it.”

And that was how the meeting ended.

We moved to the clubhouse where I ordered a cold beer. I sat there, thinking about the night. There was plenty of bullshit activity going around Daurian. It was impossible for the PD to control. We helped to push it out of the city limits, but it lingered right on the border. Chances were another gang called The Hell Five were helping to fund the illegal gaming. They were a pain the ass, too.

What worried me the most was the O’Nuall family. It wasn’t my place to say it to the Prez, but they were sick. They would easily go after Trev’s old lady and take the baby.

The weight of protection was getting heavier by the second.

From the corner of my eye I spotted one of the regulars at the clubhouse. She was pretty, wearing a low cut top. She looked at me and grinned. I hated that there were regulars around. I knew too much and I hated mixing business and pleasure. I wasn’t going to fuck her because I felt bad that she struggled to pay her bills and her mother was in hospice care for cancer. I was going to fuck her because I needed to calm my nerves for a bit before tonight.

I gave a nod and she pointed toward the hall.

Five minutes later I was behind her. She was naked, I had my jeans down to my knees. I pounded at her, forcing her to dig at the bed to keep from being thrust off the other side.

Pussy came first… and then I was off to kill… the monster would come out again tonight.

  four.

I always kept a secret bag packed full of clothes and supplies. It was a backpack and I left it in the trunk of my car. I had grown up always feeling like I was on the run so it came as second nature to me. As I walked from Daxton’s room, I purposely left all my stuff behind, scattered on his bed, giving the illusion that we were okay with things.

Too bad that morning I had gone into his room to get a change of clothes and found a woman in bed with him. She was naked, face down, her flabby ass hanging out of the sheets. Her panties were dangling off her left ankle, the front pointing at me with text that read it ain’t going to lick itself.

I patted the woman on the ass and she stirred, groaning. Then she opened her eyes and looked at me. I thought she’d be surprised, but not this bitch. She popped her head up and asked, “Is it your turn? Or are we going together?”

I simply smiled and said, “Oh, no, sweetie. He’s all yours.”

Trust me, I had no desire to sleep with Daxton. The handful of times I did, I was aided by alcohol, which doesn't say much about my character.

Then again, I was the one standing next to my car in a tight pair of jeans and a tank top that purposely showed a sliver of skin. My bra was some special thing that pushed my boobs up - like I really needed that to begin with - and made them pour out of the top of my top. Again, like I really needed that to begin with.

I had my hair pulled back tight and wore what I assumed to be the right amount of makeup and glitter on my face. I felt stupid but it was the only way I knew how to make money. I’d serve drinks, smile, flirt, and walk out with hundreds in cash. I’d have to dodge plenty of ass grabbing and offers for one night stands. Then again, maybe if the right businessman offered me a night, I’d do it just to stick it at Daxton and the MC.

  Yeah, right.

If I didn’t end up back at the clubhouse, I’d end up with a bullet in my head.

The rest of the girls had gone inside, but I was instructed to wait.

I heard the thundering growl of a motorcycle and saw Rocco and Gunner riding up the road. They pulled into the parking lot and blocked me in. Not like I had the choice to actually get out of there. As they climbed off their motorcycles, my heart started to pound. These men were nothing to mess with. The allure of them from afar was one thing - seeing them as these big, giant outlaws who could break the law and then break your heart. That was kind of like a wild fantasy. But the second they got their teeth into you, you were screwed.

“You know what to do?” Gunner asked me.

  I nodded. “Yes.”

“Don’t fuck this thing up,” Rocco said. “We need to get our revenge
on those pricks. They won’t see it coming. They won’t know it’s us. They’ll assume and it’ll give us time for a real attack.”

I swallowed hard. “I should get inside.”

  “You look nervous,” Gunner said.

  “I am nervous.”

  “Why?” Rocco asked.

“Why? Are you serious? I’ve never killed anyone before.”

Gunner grinned and he reached for my hand. “Well, sweetie, there’s a first time for everything.”

  five.

  (trent)

  Who the hell is that?

That was my first thought when I saw the woman standing next to her car. It was instantly clear she was nervous, and waiting for someone to meet up with her. I had taken the frontline on this, hiding right across the street, waiting for the right time to come across and kick up some hell. Duke was already inside, probably at a table, counting up some cash. A trained war veteran, he knew how to keep a straight face and to focus on what needed to be done. That meant putting all his trust into me to keep his ass alive.

Trev, Jasper, and Cash were about a mile away, ready to ride and fight if I needed them.

But complete focus was on the woman across the street. I had a pair of binoculars with me and hell yeah I used them to check her out. When she turned her head, I caught myself grinning a little. Her face was perfect, beautiful, looking like she had soft skin. Her hair pulled back in a tight ponytail. Her shoulders were exposed thanks to a skimpy top she wore. And, shit, her tits were so full, pushing out of the top of her shirt. I paused there for a little bit, admiring. Come on - you show them, I’m going to look at them.

As I kept climbing down her body, I saw the hint of skin where her shirt ended. The wide curve of her hips, making my hands tense up because that was the spot I’d be holding onto as I pulled her tighter against my cock.

I claimed her right then with my eyes.

She dressed similar to the other women that had gone into the building. They were the ones that served drinks, flirted, laughed, and kept everyone happy and playing cards. The gambling thing was generally non-violent and a way for some of the richest guys around to hang with outlaws and bet cash. If they weren’t gambling, they were throwing money down on illegal underground fights.

When she touched the bottom of her shirt and tugged at it, it made my dick stir. She didn’t want to be dressed like this. She didn’t want to be exposed. She then bit her lip and looked right at me. Of course she couldn’t see me, but I could see her. Nice little lips, an almost button-like nose, and really pretty eyes. A light brown color that almost had an amber tone to it against the sunlight.

Now I had a second objective for the night. Make sure I save Duke’s ass. And make sure I had this woman’s ass.

  **

  Rocco and Gunner.

“Shit,” I whispered as I saw the motorcycle pull into the lot.

I got up on my knees and grabbed my gun. I feared perhaps an instant ambush on Duke. Fuck. They could just kick in the door and start shooting. Blast the hell out of Duke before the games even really got going.

I wondered if I had taken too much time eye-fucking the beauty standing at her car.

It meant I would have to conduct my own ambush.

If I crossed the street, there was only one choice. I would have to kill the President and VP of Night Soul MC. It may not have sounded like a daunting task, right? It was just bullets. One in each of the back of their heads and they would be dead. The problem was that I didn’t have authority to take out a President or a VP of another club. And if I did, I’d be in deep shit with my club. Honestly? I didn’t give a fuck about that. They could chain me up and gut me for all I care. The real problem was that if I took these two out, it would open the doors for a war nobody wanted to see. Night Soul would come right to Daurian and the blood would spill fast and plenty.

I ended up crouched, on my feet, wondering what to do. If I called Trev, it wouldn’t matter. He wouldn’t have enough time to get here to do anything.

  I needed to take action.

As I inched up, I saw Rocco reach out and touch the woman.

That set me off even more.

Who the fuck is this woman?

Maybe she was Rocco’s old lady.

The thought of her under Rocco as his flabby biker body pumped at her really pissed me off.

Rocco then looked at Gunner and gave a nod. Gunner reached into his pocket and pulled out a small vial. I grinned, looking at the way his thumb and pointer were close together. Probably showing her the size of his dick.

Gunner held out the vial and the woman took it.

Rocco then said something, but he spoke loud and clear with this hands. His motions were simple - this woman was going to pour whatever was in the vial into a drink. Duke’s drink. It was some kind of poison.

That’s how they were going to kill Duke.

The woman tucked the vial into her top. I suddenly became a little bit jealous of a vial.

  Get yourself together, Trent. Fuck.

The chick back at the clubhouse had offered me another round - in the shower - and I had declined. I regretted that. I should have drained myself completely.

Rocco pointed at the woman, his face turning red, and then he walked away. Gunner reached out and ran the back of his fingers to the woman’s cheek. He then ran his pointer finger down her lips.

My blood was boiling. I was raging from a really dark fucking place. The place where the monster lived and the place where the monster could easily escape from.

As Gunner turned, I dropped back down to make sure I was hidden.

They started their motorcycles and sped away.

That’s when it all made sense.

They were having this woman kill Duke. And why the hell not? They would make it very clear to the MC that Duke was dead but they weren’t there when it happened. They wanted us confused and wanted Trev off guard. That was the game here. To get Trev out of his element and take him out. Nobody expected Trev to settle right in at the head of the table and take such firm control.

I watched as the woman remained standing there at her car. You think an assassin would rush inside and get to work, right? Not this woman. With her right hand, she touched her chest, obviously feeling for the vial of poison. Seeing her touch herself made me grit my teeth. My cock kept pulsing, wanting to get over there and save her.

Save her? She’s going to kill your brother…

The woman then started to bite her nails.

  She was nervous as fuck.

I knew what I had to do next.

  I called Trev.

  “What’s happening?”

“Prez, they’re not the ones doing it,” I said. “They were here and they’re gone.”

  “What? Where are you?”

“Still across the street. They rode up and delivered poison.”

  “Poison?”

“Something in a vial. They want one of the waitresses to pour it into Duke’s drink. They’re trying to throw you off, Prez.”

“That can’t happen, Trent,” Trev said. “Show this bitch the monster.”

I couldn’t stop looking at her through the binoculars.

  “You hear me?” Trev growled.

  “I hear you, Prez.”

  “Then say it,” Trev said.

I didn’t want to say it. I slowly put the binoculars down. I could see the woman but not all her beautiful defined features. She finally moved away from her car and worked toward the door.

Now it was time to act.

  “Trent?” Trev asked.

“I’ve got this, Prez. I’ll be in touch soon.”

  I ended the call.

I didn’t tell Trev what he wanted to hear.

But I knew what needed to be done.

The only way to show Rocco and Gunner that we were serious and nobody could fuck with us.

I stood up and started to cross the road.

I had to kill the beautiful woman.

  six.<

  (harlee)

There was a nice L shaped bar, two bartenders behind it. They were tall, beautiful women, wearing basically bra and panties. Their boobs were twice the size of mine and I had no idea how they worked with those things on their chest.

It was me and three other women. There were twelve tables set up. Tensions were already high. That was just the way it went in the beginning. From businessmen in fancy suits to some tough biker guys, they all sat there and felt each other out. Who would bet high? Who would always fold? Who would get too drunk and start tossing money around like it was nothing?

I scanned the room and saw the Back Down Devil MC logo on a guy’s back that looked eight miles wide. That was the guy. His name was Duke. I had to spill the poison into his drink. I had no idea what the hell the stuff was that Gunner gave me, but it was supposed to make him choke up, grab his chest, and then he’d die a minute later.

I was going to kill someone…

It was all I could think about.

I stepped forward and started to walk toward the table. I kept my eyes forward, staring at the skull on the leather cut. The logo was bigger and scarier than anything Night Soul could come up with. And if Night Soul was bad… what did that make Back Down Devil MC?

I was five feet away from Duke when someone grabbed my wrist.

“Look at this ass over here,” a voice said.

I looked down and a man in a suit stared up at me, smiling. He had a perfect white smile. His face had just the right amount of scruff on it. His eyes were beautifully blue. Shit, that was the kind of guy I should have ended up with for the night.

  “Hey there,” I said.

I had to stick this out. I had to play the game. Because when Duke was dead, there would be an investigation into what happened. I couldn’t go to jail.

  “Where’s my drink?”

“You haven’t told me what you want,” I said.

“A man like you… mmm… I bet you like to switch things up. You don’t stick around for the same old thing over and over. You like something new. You like an adventure.”
